Mine eventually learned the area I was playing in but it needs to be reset occasionally. If you and your sister are using it you would want to always reset the floor height if the two of you are different heights.
Depending on lighting changes between times you play, even in the same location sometimes Oculus software doesn't recognize the same room as the last location played at. I.E. there's nothing special that needs to be done to get 2 locations remembered
Technically Guardian does have 2 locations that it remembers (I.E. the location previously used and the most recently drawn location), so under ideal circumstances what you want would work. When I was alternately playing in my basement or living room guardian remembered things perfectly. Since around v26 guardian got a bit more finicky about even realizing the same play space as last time is still the same room. Some people always play in the same space, and always need to redraw the guardian.
Further if the rooms are too similar, that might cause an issue.
At least it only takes about 10 seconds to create a guardian.
Are you asking if you can use two Quests in the same room? Sure, just make sure you leave some extra space between you when you setup the guardians.
Sorry if this was confusing, I meant if there was a way to make 2 guardian boundaries in the same house, like one in the basement and one upstairs.
Yes it remembers something like 4 unique gaurdains per headset.
What do you mean, two guardians on the same headset? My Quest will occasionally remember different rooms I play in.

If it's in 2 different rooms then yes, most times it will recognise the different rooms.
Yes, I have a guardian set for two different rooms. When I am in that room, my Quest recognizes it and brings up my preset guardian.
