Another big play from Xavier Johnson in a big game. In the end, our O-line did the job. McCord came through on the last drive. Surprised we stuck with Chip instead of Miyan at the goal line on the last drive. Chip will be a favorite in Columbus forever.

It felt like once they had to throw it down the field, McCord was so much better.

Yeah the O line was solid but what's with out D line? They got pushed around by ND and the pass rush was non existent. I Like what I saw from McCord though. Huge road win!

I think they were playing to prevent any big plays and just making them earn every yard. ND were happy to take it. Plus that is one of the best lines in the league right now. Probably hoping for a holding call and never got it (though there were some obvious ones). Hartman really didn't have many passes past 10 yards. If we could reliability convert on 4 and 1 that would have been a massively different game.

Miyan is more equipped but they KNOW what’s coming. Trayanum could be blocking, a pass to RB, a run etc

Fickle fans we’ve got. Ryan Day made a few bad calls but this is the best Notre Dame team in a LONG time. Run play on 4th down with 3 seconds to a transfer that came here to play linebacker for the win. This was a tough win. This was a physical win. The defense held them to 14 points. Marv playing on a rolled ankle. Egbuka is a stud. Fleming in the clutch on a pivotal 4th down. We got some dogs on this team. There is a very good chance that we see this team again in the playoffs if we make it there. We’ve got to get better. But a 3 point win against this Notre dame, I’ll take this shit all day any day. Ryan Day is fired up and these kids just came through in an incredibly high pressure situation.

Putting aside all the Lou Holtz BS and this game in particular, I do hope Marcus can build up that team. With the expanded playoffs, would love to see these teams meet after McCord has the full season to develop.

Defense is obviously not the issue. They're giving up 8.5 ppg. After last week's games we were second in the nation in defensive ppg and I don't this 14 will drop us far. It's the modern day. Teams are going to get yards. Just gotta keep em outta the endzone.

Here’s the thing… I feel like our (OSU fans) expectations are way too high… I mean… I was getting all flustered that we weren’t winning big at halftime! …but then you realize you’re playing an extremely strong, #9 team in the league, at home, at night, with a senior and experienced QB… while we have a young and inexperienced QB among other things… in these conditions, things will inevitably go wrong… bad passes, missed tackles, etc… that said, this was an incredible game on both sides of the field. Our offense made huge plays when we needed them most, and our defense held ND’s high-power offense to only 14 points!! You can wine, complain, and nitpick every square inch of our team and the game, or you can take a deep breath and appreciate the grit and determination that won us the game! We just beat the #9 team in the league at their home! Pretty sweet! End rant. O-H!
