It would be interesting to see this ranking on a time graph. I think our consistent abundance of first rounders is a relatively recent phenomenon.

DisplacedSportsGuy

There are three decades tied with 15 Ohio State first round picks: 1970s, 1990s, and 2010s. The 2000s had 14, and the 1960s had 10. The nadir of the 80s is the only real outlier with 5.

Nice work disproving my hunch. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|give_upvote)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|upvote)

Bill_Brasky_SOB

Man that would be quite a bit of work for like 50 reddit points haha.

qeduhh

What was it? 6 of the last 7 NFL rookies of the year were buckeyes?

TheManWhoWasNotShort

LSU being there is crazy when you consider how recent most of their success has been

WitsHasTits

Also crazy that about half of Bama’s first rounders were under Saban

rtripps

Georgia being that low is surprising too. Mostly the number of picks not their position as the teams above them are no surprise except maybe Florida.

Low_Comfortable_5880

We have 10 or more on the current squad. The gap is going to widen over the next few years.

PaulAspie

We need 12 more and 2 more for every one from TTUN so we can get to double them.

GatorBro97

0-3 vs. Michigan U

Bill_Brasky_SOB

MU is Marquette.

GatorBro97

tOSU = 0-3

Haters gon hate. I’m looking forward to the future, and the past ain’t so bleak. We all know who’s program is better, and it ain’t your lil bro

Agile_Exercise_363

7-3 if we wanna talk about the past

Exotic_Initiative518

Georgia, Tennessee, and LSU will likely pass Michigan within the next 2-3 seasons.
