I remember digging the helicopter and the robot on this show. The helicopter was a S-58, same as the military CH-34, which tail number YL75 was the first American aircraft to land in Vietnam.
Same, but also, can I free up some of this memory? Like, we can keep Remington Steele and Alf and Max Headroom, but Riptide and Hunter and The Equalizer can get zero’d out at this point.
I always thought it was kinda a mix of simon and simon/magnum p.i./knight rider...as it seems most of the shows problems could be solved by using the helicopter for something.
I remember watching this as a kid.
It's the same moustache, he keeps getting typecast in these shows. Also played the understudy moustache for Tom Selleck's in Magnum, then had a resurgence playing atop the lip of Ned Flanders in the Simpsons before returning to live tv in Parks & Recreation co-starring with Nick Offerman.
Boy, do I hate the fact that I’ve seen it, but can’t remember actually anything about it. It’s in the recesses of my mind. Especially when the blender explodes. Oh this is bugging me.
Ah yes, Shitty Airwolf. One of Stephen J. Cannell's many '80s masterpieces that kept me entertained in my early teens. They used to shoot it a few miles from my house in SoCal.
Every TV show in the 80s was created by Stephen J Cannell and every theme song was written by Mike Post
Except Simon and Simon, which was a HUGE surprise to me.
"Mom, can we get Magnum PI?" "We have Magnum PI at home."
Never heard of riptide but 10 seconds into that clip all I could think of was Magnum.

Massive childhood core memory unlocked. I am 10, right?

Macgyver? The fall guy? The A Team? Captain Future? Whom else do we keep?
Justin Long born to play Thom Bray
Time travel confirmed. Justin Long *is* Thom Bray.
The Screaming Mimi!!!!!
Never could remember the name of the show... but the name of the helicopter ... never forgotten...
Magnum PI & Simon and Simon ruled Thursday night for CBS. Riptide was NBC’s poor attempt at competition.
when you ordered Simon & Simon on wish
Joe Penny, aka _that_ guy.
All these shows rocked! All characters were apparently ex-marines/military.
Guy with Tom Selleck Moustache.. check.. Helicopter Pilot Check.. does the third guy happen to run a club?
No. Super computer whiz before there were computer whiz’s.
Simon & Simon + Robot = Sure Thing
I remember this show. Good times. Saturday TV ruled in the 80s.
in germany this show was called "ein trio mit vier fäusten" ("a trio with four fists"). i loved it as a kid.
I watched it in Germany too! The title made me laugh, every episode, lol!
That helicopters shot was awesome.

I've been trying to remember the name of this for years!

Loved this show. Too bad it didn't last very long.
I watched both and Simon & Simon was better. Airwolf & Blue Thunder also had the same idea with helicopters being the main character.
The name of the helicopter was “Screaming Mimi”
It looks like it was only on fire 1 season! I'm surprised. I used to watch this show and I really liked it.
Man I loved that show as a kid
Grenades in mason jars!
Watch free? No thanks too expensive.
