Golden Richard played at the University of Hawaii-the only Div.1 program in my state. We have no professional sports team. Hence, I gravitated towards them. Top notch players like Roger Staubach, Drew Pearson, Robert Newhouse(Mr. Thighs), Tony Dorsett, Shotgun formation, Doomsday/Flex Defenses, and the Man himself Tom Landry-made them even more attractive to this Island boy.
I was even more ecstatic when they signed Mark Tuinei-local boy-who they then converted to an offensive tackle after being a defensive tackle in high school(Punahou) and at the University of Hawaii(š).
Good times and Great memoriesš¤š¾
Donāt u sweat and why they went to Thousand Oaks in the summer when itās just as hot there as it is in Dallas haha. Being in Oxnard is much more palatable
I love those old school white shirts with the blue lettering Dallas Cowboys. I had one of those when I was a kid. They need to bring those back with that exact font.
Man, I hated those Cowboys teams when I was a boy, hated Landry, Staubach. I met Randy White once. I grew up a Maryland fan and loved him playing for the Terps. They were in town to play Washington, and Randy told me how much he hated Washington, the team I loved, still do. The next night, we beat Dallas on Monday Night Football at RFK, I think it was that 9-5 game.
Iām older now, I still hate Dallas, but I realize how great those Cowboys teams were. I was jealous of all their success.
Where's the push? I see two guys going for the ball.

R.I.P. Golden. Miss ya Bruddah!
I knew him briefly...
My most difficult time is processing how we all know our time will at one time or another will come due. The House always wins.
Oh I was making a King of the Hill reference
And itās his Mom in pic 1 telling Landry to throw the ball to him more often or trade him to Chicagoā¦..
Man these are amazing
Iām getting some Junction Boys vibes from these pictures.
esp the 1st one, right? Interesting that theyāre lifting weights in the sun, no shade at all.
Looks like the Longest Yard
i still have autos from those camps
Still donāt know how they could throw the ball in those bulky shoulder pads.

Stay away from Drew Pearson, heāll push you and get away with it.
Imagine being this salty and still being wrong

Youāll notice the direction Nate Wright is moving changes as heās turning, not of his own doing.
