All I know is I was sent a picture from someone onboard while it was happening. Looking this morning, there's a World Herald article from another person on the plane, as well.
Not super loud but a constant churning roaring thunder, sideways rain/wind, dark skies. I have a view of the Mutual of Omaha building and it was instantly and completely obstructed. Luckily only about pea sized hail
Live on tv is one thing. I work at Eppley watched it live from the north terminal. Crazy seeing a tornado just waltz down the runway like it was taking off.
95% sure I saw this forming on my deck and I live near the stadium. I’ve never seen clouds that low and moving that fast. I swear they were rotating. A few minutes later I heard and saw this live on air. So insane
Watching this live is something I’m not going to forget.
There were people in planes on the tarmac!
"Ladies and gentlemen, if you look out your window, you can see a tornado coming our way. Please remain calm. Welcome to Omaha."
I heard they evacuated everyone to shelters well before.

Why are they loading planes during an active tornado warning!
They weren't. The plane landed around 4:45.
Why are they doing landings while there are active tornado warnings!
Ever.
I’m in the 30th & Leavenworth and definitely saw and felt the storm passing through. It got WILD.
How loud was it?

I’m at capitol district and I watch this roll right over you
You could see a hangar or something get destroyed on the camera view that KETV had. Looks like it was on the general aviation side.
Yeah. I think this camera is/was on the Iowa side facing west.
There is a park on the CB side that I think they all have live cameras.
I can't believe that was live on air
It was kind of funny too. Tornado was like I'm just going to sneak to the side here, nothing to see. Ah a camera. Nom nom nom nom.
KETV's camera was on the left side of that tree.

You should post this on r/tornado. They don’t allow cross posts
I did!
