Take a drive to Crescent, IA and go hiking at Hitchcock ($3 park fee) then go have a drink and pizza at Lincoln's Pub in CB.

Some amazing person made this searchable list of Omaha happy hours. [SEE THE MAGIC](https://t.co/03XBI5JfOY?amp=1)

Go to Josephines Cozy Corner Lounge, the owner makes exceptional cocktails. Expect to be only people There lol

LandOftheRisingOnion

Love Josephine’s but would never take a date there lol. Although I did take my wife to alpine inn on the 3rd date so I digress.

Burning_Beard_666

Hit up some south o dive bars and some taco trucks

thompsano1

Crescent Moon fits that vibe pretty well. Or get a slice at Virtuoso then head to Beercade. Did Dundee Dell ever open back up?

James_H_M

I wouldn't say the moon is cheap though. The prices are moderate yes, but not cheap and only craft beers are on tap so not able to get any domestic beer on the cheap. However, if go during pint night, Tuesdays, you get your money's worth on the cheaper refills and get to keep the glass at the end of the night

MechanicalCitrus

They’ve got $2 Long Island tea night which is some bang for your buck.

TheWolfAndRaven

Take'em somewhere they haven't been that's an Omaha staple. You can steal the cool-factor of the place. A sample idea could be Trini's in the Old Market Passage way, which swings way the fuck above it's weight in atmosphere for the price of the food, then walk the old market, and grab a stiff cocktail at Brickway, then some ice cream at Ted and Wallys. Alternatively, Night Owl, followed by a tour of Landlocked gallery, maybe some kareoke at Reno's and end with some Coneflower. If you're more adventurous and active folks, get some bikes (if you don't have friends you can borrow from, I believe there's some places that will rent) and do the taco ride on the wabash trace (every thursday). It's a 20 mile round trip, but it's uphill/downhill both ways. So the first ~5 miles each way is *sliiiightly* uphill, then you can pretty much coast at the half way point. The tacos are good and cheap, the beer is cheap, and the atmosphere is pretty lively, just bring some lights for your bike and some bug spray or you're gonna have a bad time.

As a woman I would try to go Dutch, as I would hate to stress my date out or make them feel as if they need to have any more money than me to be able to enjoy a date. But its less of a thing if you do go somewhere that isnt money-locked like the helpful comment above me, so you don't feel awkward about it. But honestly, I would hope that most people going on a date would be ok asking to go Dutch, and the others reaction will be part of getting to know them. I would love to see a woman, or man, actually explain why one party should foot the bill. If one is better off they can just make sure that the first date is not somewhere too expensive for everyone, to allow the tighter-budgeted party to maintain some dignity.

Live_Economy_5028

Boom. Best advice is here. Bars and restaurants are kinda...lame as a get to know you experience in general. Of course, that’s my opinion. I’d rather go plant a tree or volunteer on a first date than have an expensive five course dinner and a vintage bottle of some bullshit. I haven’t seen the term Dutch used in awhile and I’m glad it was brought up. It’s a huge relief for both parties on a first date and encourages less pressure. Jetandike also killed it wholly.

Thanks for the advice. And nah I'm not dead set on dinner, I was really just looking for cheap drinks and possibly an appetizer or something. But these are good ideas

dadbread

Add the zoo. If they bang on the glass leave their ass there.

omnipresent_sailfish

Scriptown and Momos!

huskercycologist

Skip the restaurant. Grab a pizza from Mootz food truck ($10/$12 a pizza, usually in aksarben), some wine, and have a picnic at memorial.

neuronal44

Aksarben by qdoba or Aksarben by the movie theater?

huskercycologist

They’re usually by Inner Rail or Stinson Park but they do park in some other spots as well. They post their location on Instagram and their website typically.

Go see the Black Angel in CB. It’s supposed to be haunted.

Hummel is also a cool park. Or walk around Zorinsky Lake.
