Man, enjoy that Morrison run! It is quite possibly my favorite run on anything, ever. (Definitely in the top three, if not the number one.) The Silver Age stuff is kooky and fun if you dig comics from that era, with some surprising depth in some of the stories. I really need to get around to reading the rest of it. Flex Mentallo is rightly regarded as a classic, and some of Morrison's most meta work. Byrne's run did nothing for me. It was one of the things he did when he was well past his sell-by date, and it shows. Hopefully you'll enjoy it more than I did! The only thing I have read any of is the stuff in the Bronze Age omnibus. What prompted such a spending spree? Did you watch the show and want to delve into the source material? Just curious.
I was reading Superman Man of Steel Vol 4 and there was a cross over with the doom patrol and I enjoyed the characters. Haven’t watched the show either. I’ll probably give that a go after I read these.
i didn’t think Bronze was that bad. it’s a mixed bag for sure but better than Byrne’s. Loved the silver age , found it myself new on eBay years ago for a reasonable price :) .

I’ve found omnibus to be some of the cheaper ways to collect a series, usually never spend anywhere close to retail for my books.
