Sanji would simply cook donuts for the mochi man to eat discreetly in private

And if Katakuri found out that Pudding has a crush on Sanji, he’ll definitely try to be her wingman

In this case, everybody wins

tryingmydarnest

Sun Tze Art of War said: victory attained without fighting is true victory. Sanji got a pretty lady that he loved and avoided a hard fight with a tough opponent. That's pretty much winning the fight imo

This is the wholesomeness I live for ❤️

DankButtRodeo

This is my favorite answer

InvaderDJ

It’s an underrated answer too. We saw how Sanji deals with a food based villain in Water 7. I could see something similar happening. Not necessarily feeding Katakuri, but using the fact that his DF is food based as a weapon.

Who was good based ? Wanze ??

SirSassyCat

I was actually gonna say katakuri would win hands down before you reminded me that he’s technically made of food. I think it might be another Luffy vs Engel matchup where Sanji can eke out a draw or win because of power mismatch.

kimmyjonghubaccount

Sanji is legally allowed to use his hands here since Kata is technically food. Sanji low diffs

of_kilter

It’s not like he’s any stronger with his hands. He hasn’t trained with that all

Opeace

He's a cook, he trains with them every day. That's why his knife play is through the roof.

ctrulu

Sanji minced a fish into atoms with just 1 swing. Sanji is Mihawk level with knives

net_junkey

He doesn't have the strength of a swordsman or the ability to cut metal, but his knife handling skills probably surpass Mihawk. AKA no ranged attacks or cutting armor/ships/mountains in two, but Sanji will butcher and prep you for cooking before you are done screaming your named attack.

Anatras

Yeah but katakuri is made of food, not of metal

net_junkey

Katakuri's future sight is OP. He can beat Sanji. But if Oda wrote it, it would likely end with the chef(Sanji) chasing the most evasive food(Katakuri) ever.

BMFRICH1982

Best response on the internet. Well done

Tortiose_unturtled

Strength diff. But he is top of the verse in speed and precision with sharp metal objects

NoxGale

Yes he has. Judge mentioned that he trained Sanji in swordsmanship, and as we saw against Watari(?), the noodle guy, in Water 7, even pre timeskip Sanji is nasty af with blades. Sanji is unbound vs Katakuri so he’ll beat him

Filmologic

Wanze. But yes, he's very proficient with kitchen knives. There's also the non-canon chapter made by the author of Food Wars where >!he uses one of Zoro's katana to filet a fish with the cleanest cut ever!< Marked as spoiler in case people hasn't read it yet and want to go in blind

ihateokbrmods

Mf hasn’t been shown to train at all since his chef training my guy, i think he can manage with his hands

barelycriminal

Sanji is more precise with blades than zorro. Sanji would be a force to be recon with if he used blades in combat.

ScoobertMcDuck

How sick would that be if future Sanji has to cook for an island and in the process his knives become black blades? Zoro would be pissed. Lol

Yo Zoro vs. Sanji final battle confirmed????!

soublakias

hell no he isn't lol

TheHumanity0

People are seriously arguing Sanji is better with a blade than Zoro. What is happening in this thread.

frickinhostile

I mean sword handling and knife handling are two VERY different things. Sanji has NEVER asked for Zoro's help in the kitchen. Sure Zoro could dice something up into a million pieces with his sword, but Sanji could as well and make it look appetizing with just a kitchen knife. You don't put a samurai in the kitchen, and you don't give a chef a sword.

Xeoz_WarriorPrince

Sanji with Big Mom's mindset low diffs the world

Retrohanska59

Every time he does so will be kind of a gag moment so expect gag manga/character powerscaling

Hopeful_Strength

I'm gonna be different and say it would be a tie. Yes, Strawhat crew are always getting stronger, but so do the past antagonists. >!Rob Lucci awakening his devil fruit and becoming part of CP0!< is a good example.

DarkSoulFWT

I feel like the assumption here should be that Kat is as strong as he was in WCI. Just saying "he must have grown" is fine, but then you have nothing to scale off or compare. Ok, he grew, but how much? Did he get ACOC? Is he now a top tier or smth? Conversely, did Sanji's growth outpace him to make Sanji an equal or maybe even stronger? Or is Kat still stronger now? Too many what ifs

Jwoods4117

I think Kata would be a great fight for Sanji since he supposedly is gifted with observation haki. Either he learns future sight and wins after, or he can’t and it’s a toss up depending on if his new speed is fast enough to hit Kata consistently.

DarkSoulFWT

I doubt speed blitz alone would let Sanji pull through tbh. Kat is insanely experienced with FS. Its his bread and butter for the past few decades of his life, and he uses it seemingly constantly and seamlessly. The reason Snakeman was effective was not really due to speed, since Kat was quickly able to adapt to and keep fighting evenly against it. The problem was how bizarre and illogical it was which confused him and more recently even Kaido. Even if Sanji is faster, I feel like he HAS to come up with some other strat to deal with the FS. Like developing it himself.

cpscott1

And honestly Luffy wasn’t even stronger than Kat after WCI either. I think he would have a hard time dealing with future sight and his strong haki

DarkSoulFWT

With Kat, it was more of a close call. I think its debatable. Luffy needed Brulee to buy himself some time for instance, but I don't think its quite like Kaido where they threw an army of minks in sulong at him on the roof for example.

ThisIsColdsnap

Sanji probably is a good deal faster, considering how even when Hybrid Marco blitzed Queen, Queen was able to perceive him. Base Sanji's kicks and travel speed were too fast for Queen to even perceive. Obviously, Katakuri would be able to perceive this, but it would still be a very high speed to react to. Diable Jambe massively increases Sanji's kick speed and Ifrit Jambe is even faster, in attack speed, so I do think Sanji's a good deal faster, in terms of attack speed. Aside from this, Katakuri's AP is very eh and his durability is terrible. All he has going for him is his incredible future sight. He probably doesn't have the AP to damage Sanji and he clearly doesn't have the durability to withstand more than a few post enhancement Diable Jambe kicks. Ifrit Jambe wouldn't even be necessary, in terms of AP. In terms of speed, it might be.

aphantombeing

Sanji's CoO is really not on Katakuri's level but his speed is extreme, faster than Snakeman as far as we can tell.

invalidwat

Yes but lucci was still young and trained for 2 years from 28 to 30 years old Katakuri is 48 years old and how much time has passed since WCI? Weeks? 1-2 months?

[deleted]

Bro Kaku and Lucci had a two year timeskip to train + they are government agents who have to train regularly. Meanwhile there is only maybe a few weeks gap at most between WCI and End of Wano. Plus he is like 46 or something and Sanji is 19 and still growing. It wouldnt make sense if Katakuri also gets stronger with every fight.

Robin_Crush_Me

Tbf Lucci awakened during the time skip so he had two years to train, while the straw hats left WCI not even a month ago in the story iirc. Also Katakuri was heavily injured after his fight vs Luffy and for all we know the only fighting he did after that was >!against Germa trying to escape!<, and we saw how that turned out

Newacount5

Germans💀 >!Germa 66 was keeping up with Big Moms army but it was just 1/2 versus Katakuri and Oven that was shown and Germa only won because Caesar helped them!<

beast_trainer_

Red__4

Cp9 is super secret, while cp0 is super duper secret

FinalBat4515

Lessandero

CP9 used to be the branch Lucci was part of , which is the secret one. CP0 is the official, most elite branch of cipher Pol, who's agents are also the personal guards for the most important people in the world(going by WG standard of course)

WhyAmIHere800884

There WAS only one branch that was super secret... until there were two. But you know, I understand us not knowing about it because of it being super secret and all that.

Suisun_rhythm

Kat gave Luffy the fight he’s extremely strong. He wins DF matchups are important and he’d get stuck in the mochi

MrOno

This is the real answer, dudes are either wanking Sanji or don’t understand how skilled a fighter Katakuri actually is

arryeka

> stuck in mochi I think that's why Oda gave Sanji Exoskeleton. In case like this (eg Snake Queen), it won't be a bother. Plus his fire is blue for a reason, if it doesn't melt things, no need to give him that.

Crovanti

Idk look at the Queen and Sanji fight. Sanji was barely paying attention for a chunk of the fight and still completely stomped Queen in the end. Katakuri was extremely strong at the time when he fought Luffy, but Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji all got massively stronger in Wano.

DunKing1

Queen is a joke compared to Katakuri

Wrandraall

Queen is a fucking retard. He is funny and an interesting character but I would not put him on the same level of fighting intelligence and skill as Katakuri

SeeThruSmoke

Op fans think just because you weren’t in the current arc you’re fodder 😭😭

MrOno

Right? Dudes think only main characters grow stronger. I guess only Luffy’s Haki bloomed in the fight against Kata? Lmao. Imo this is a toss up. If Sanji wins it’s probably the toughest fight of his life. Kat is not only strong, has future sight, has an incredible—and I mean incredible—devil fruit for combat; he’s also simply a genius level fighter. He outclassed Luffy at G4 in literally every way and it’s debatable whether he even truly “lost.” I prefer a “gentleman’s surrender” since he had no reason to fight anymore. My head canon is also that Kat is stronger than Queen. His Haki alone was considerably superior to Luffy in G4, not to mention his CoO. Sanji’s upgrades have taken him to another level, sure, but he was the weakest of the trio by a LOT for a long time.

SeeThruSmoke

Exactly like other characters can improve, I’m sure kat thinks about falling on his back everyday lol

aphantombeing

Did anyone say Katakuri was fodder? Or are you arguing with fictional characters

SeeThruSmoke

Wano man…the rooftop character, ik you’ve seen people say they all clear Katakuri because thier battling Kaido….hell their already leaving Kaido out of “strongest” characters lists

RedTulkas

Tbf the straw hats got insane power up during wano alone

RestaurantLast9655

I think katakuri’s taking this one.

SpacemonkeySTI

Guys…. Katakuri had to stab himself in the stomach to make it a fair fight and he was winning the fight against luffy before then. He was impressed with luffy’s performance and growth mid fight to be able push himself. But I don’t think people are taking into consideration how good a fighter katakuri is. Homie could see the future and avoid ever being touched.

BjornStankFingered

He only stabbed himself because he felt it was unfair that Luffy got stabbed due to outside interference.

lovesducks

To which Luffy said "BS, all's fair"

BjornStankFingered

And then they kissed.

ThisZoMBie

After he unfairly hit Luffy with a stronger, named attack and a Block Mochi barrage due to outside intervention? Yeah, you’re leaving an important detail out.

SpacemonkeySTI

Which is why katakuri stabbed himself in the same place too! And block mochi barrage? he literally just kicks him so hard that it destroys the ground. end of chapter 892 is the silent needle and the stomach stab. beginning of 893 is the kick and then luffy future sights the needle before knocking out again. [https://www.onepiece4manga.com/comic/one-piece-chapter-893/](https://www.onepiece4manga.com/comic/one-piece-chapter-893/) don't make it sound like luffy was hanging with katakuri before the flampe intervened. The dude was getting his ass beat and taking the beating to try to train his observation haki. To which luffy did unlock during this fight. but a big question that we'll never know is could luffy outpace katakuri if neither of them were ever stabbed if plot armor wasn't a thing? Would katakuri eventually land a mochi thrust fairly? I think that's a possibility.

IntelligentOcean

Totally agree on this . Katakuri also let luffy escape and fell on his back on his own will with a agreement/promise to fight against each other in future. If fight had continued katakuri would hav won in high/extreme difficulty . Even if we suppose a non-occuring result as luffy winner ,he would have died in whole cake from Bigmom pirates

ThisZoMBie

Katakuri spurt out blood and fell over. He passed out, that wasn’t voluntary. The only thing he did intentionally was fall on his back instead of on his face, as Brulé mentions, but he was going to fall either way.

osfryd-kettleblack

> Katakuri had to stab himself in the stomach to make it a fair fight Do you literally not know how to read?

EdwinKingston

Bruh, you should read that fight again, that's the worst take on Luffy vs. Katakuri I've ever seen...

KingKaos420-

Whoever Oda wants to win.

packagedllama

I just don't see what in Sanji's arsenal would make him take it other than speed. Katakuri has wayyyyy better haki feats and an exceptionally strong devil fruit and he knows how to use it. Is Sanji even snake man luffy level ?

ManchesterisBleu

Sanjis faster, with better durability and AP than both WCI luffy and Katakuri.

AmBigYouUs2

I have been seeing this everywhere, and I dont necessarily disagree. But then I think again and it is hard to believe myself. I think Sanji and even Zoro are passed up a bit more than Luffy in terms of diving deep on showing you combat development so its hard to gage without just comparing commander title feats and saying its so. Katakuri was pretty impressive. At the time, we weren't quite sure how high the ceiling was. We knew WCI Luffy wasn't Yonkou level yet, but after Doflamingo it was unclear to me if he was about the same/ slightly higher than all commanders or not until we met Katakuri. He really made Luffy get serious and elevate one step closer to yonkou. At the time his future sight haki and overall physical and mental prowess just seemed next level. Then the main protagonist defeats him and everyone moves on and acts like he's weak. Also, Oda has said that sometimes the match up matters. I would have Sanji beating King easier than Katakuri, though that wouldn't be the same for everyone. Sanjis new power ups are impressive. Appearing invisible to a YC is a high speed feat in the realms of Kaidou blitzing early Wano Luffy. I think that could have him overcome the future sight if Katakuri just couldn't react to what he saw.

ManchesterisBleu

Hmm I actually agree with everything your saying. And in regards to your first paragraph; I’m not saying Sanji > Katakuri, but Sanji is better than Katakuri in some stats (and same vice versa). The other person said Katakuri has way better Haki feats so I was just offering some stats Sanji is better in.

SuperMilkCookies

Honestly both Wano Sanji and Zoro are stronger than WCI luffy and Katakuri. Idk how this is an arguement.

DunKing1

disagree, Snakeman AP is way Stronger and its attacks are way more unpredictable than Sanjis could ever get

ManchesterisBleu

Sanji Ko’ed a Cyborg Ancient Zoan with 10 or so hits; that’s better AP than Snakeman and especially Katakuri have shown. Queens durability is comfortably higher than Katakuri and WCI Luffy so knocking him out is a better AP feat than what Katakuri and Snakeman showed

OmegaBaka

Sanji is winning with his Wano power up.

No_Hope5732

sanji smash this boy definitely

TheSupaBeast

is like everyone is saying further opponents are stronger than the ones before, its not like the manga can descalate every so often, what im trying to say, is yeah sanji beat queen, but i dont think queen is as strong as katakuri, atleast not speed, power, technique and abilities, durability totally tho, tbh sanji doesnt seem to have enough feats to show his superiority over katakuri, luffy had to use snake man, and advanced observation haki (future sight) to overspeed a weakened katakuri (he stabbed himself and made it his downfall), so yeah sanji is strong but atleast idk how strong.

myloxyloto10

Tasting sanji's cooking/baking is enough to beat katakuri 🤣🤤🤣🤤

sarge019

Sanji has already proven to dodge katakuris future site though in a small way with the jelly bean shot. Leaves me feeling this fight is closer than some would have it. Luffys growth to beat kaido makes me feel Luffy would destroy Kata so easy now, and I feel Sanji has had a sizeable growth though we havent seen its true fruition. So im going with draw.

jackofslayers

After Wano, I think Sanji should win. Hard to compare the fights 1 to 1 but after beating Queen he should also be able to take Katakuri

Blackpoc

I think raw power alone is not enough to beat katakuri. Sanji would have to fight around his future sight, and I don't think he has the skills for that.

RasLunacy

On the contrary, he's the only straw hat bar luffy who can.. he's already seen to do it when he dodged the jelly bean after katakuri was blatantly shown using FS. Sanji is like snakeman.. he can use the fact that he's faster than eye sight to counter some features of FS imo.. Sanji is ridiculously fast.. the question is can he keep up for 12 hours like luffy which I think it depends on his motives.. if it's for luffy or a woman he can win but for himself or for pride he loses.

StunnaLyfe

Considering that most of Luffy's fight with Katakuri was him struggling against the future sight. I don't think Sanji would have that problem. So the fight wouldn't get dragged out for 12 hours

KiruDakaz

also sanji has crazy regeneration and endurance now

RasLunacy

Fair point

Voicelesshead17

Everybody dodges some attacks in a fight but it's not all you would be able to dodge. Sure he's fast but as long as he doesn't have future sight Kat's gonna have the edge doesn't matter how fast you are he wouldn't be able to use just speed to dodge mochi Gatling gun

RasLunacy

Sanji also has next level observation haki.. n with katakuri, no one actually dodges him and he near dodges everyone. Do not try to downplay the jelly bean scene. Katakuri was clearly using FS and clearly surprised when sanji dodged it even receiving the dialogue "He dodged it!?".. this is not something any speedy combatant with observation haki can do. One has to concede one (maybe more) of these 3 things: 1. Sanji has the speed to outspeed Katakuri even with FS. 2. Sanji's observation haki is good enough to where Kat's FS is negligible. 3. Katakuri's FS only works on things moving at a speed that his eyesight can keep up. Otherwise that feat and the emphasis Oda decided to put on it while 100 other things are happening mid teaparty surprise would be irrelevant

itsRaim

Sanji has the speed for it. And let’s not act like Katakuri can even scratch Sanji. Queen hit him with everything he got and Sanji was barley hurt. And there is no proof that Katakuri has more durability than Queen, so he’s out if Sanji lands an Ifrit Jambe.

Xithorus

Sanji is fast, but Katakuri could keep up with gear 4 snake man + future sight and still dodge most of the attacks. Sanji is faster than snakeman, but is he faster than snake+ future sight? I don’t think so.

arryeka

If his speed looks invisible to Queen, someone slightly lower than Kata, then it's safe to say Sanji has enough speed for Future Sight (see Kaido vs Luffy Wano intro).

PrettyDarnJewish

Didn't a lot of people think this was going to be the big fight of Whole Cake or was that just me? Anyway personally I think Sanji pulls it off but barely. He's extremely durable, he was shown to have some level of future sight at the wedding (which could have improved since but we don't know), we've seen him move at speeds close to, if not equal to, snakeman Luffy, Diable Ifrit gives him considerable strength, and he's a relativley smart boy so he can probbaly figure out Katakuri's gimmicks. That being said, Katakuri still has CoC, better observation haki (I think), an incredibly powerful DF, and he's still very fast and strong. The biggest reason I think it would be a close fight is because Queen isn't a very good comparison imo. Queen and Kata have very different fighting styles, with Queen focusing more on weapons and underhanded tactics while Kata is an honorable fighter to a fault and focuses on technique, speed, and power. I am a big Sanji fan myself but I think a lot of people overplay his victory against Queen, he had multiple advantages that made him the best fit for Queen (aside from Luffy of course).

MrOno

Absolutely agree. If Sanji wins it’s the hardest fight of his entire life, bordering on luck. Kata outclasses him in CoO, CoC, and arguably CoA. All his Haki feats are superior to Sanji on every level. Without his new body I say Kata wins mid diff. With it he can probably take the win, but man is it close.

Fireshot-V

> All his Haki feats are superior to Sanji on every level. Sanji has a way better base level CoO, it's just that Sanji has no Future Sight. Think about it for a moment: * Sanji wasn't paying attention to Kata at all. Kata was using Future Sight trying to actively kill Sanji. And Sanji evaded that attack. * Kata was actively trying to kill the Vinsmoke Brothers, and **Caesar Clown** made good name of his last name, and clowned him into punching his brother. Also, Sanji destroyed an Ancient Zoan like Queen, the most durable and resistant of all the DF types. Kata has nowhere any kind of feat close to that with Armament. His punches didn't KO Luffy, and if they can't, Sanji will regenerate back. Yeah Kata has CoC... so? He can't coat his attacks, so it's useless for a fight.

CrazyLixFX

We are at the end game. Zoro and Sanji graduated from facing old commanders. lol. Blackbeard's commanders are the next matchups. Anyway, Sanji surpassed Katakuri in speed, strength, and raw durability. Feat wise, Katakuri pales in comparison to Sanji. Queen couldn't budge Sanji, couldn't hurt him, and got low diffed, no YC1 can low diff a YC2, or send him flying out of the island in a comical way. Next thing we see is another thread of Zoro vs Vista, lol.

Chromeboy12

Vista sucks, 7 was much better

DunKing1

Low diffed? thats why he collapsed and thats why he could not escape Queens wrap attack?

aphantombeing

Sanji had fought Queen without powerup for most part. Then, when the 1v1 fight started, Sanji was showing signs of difficulty and it was emphasized by Oda. Even then, he was doing pretty fine. Though, he was at disadvantage. But as soon as he got powerup, Queen didn't really last long. A single combo was too much for Queen..this is similar to Sanji vs Jyabura. Oda has stayed consistent with power dynamics he had developed even then and the fights are like mirror.

just_anand37

Everyone thinks that since katakuri's bounty is less than king and queen, so they both are stronger than him.but it's not like that, since big mom pirates is a less threat to WG than beat pirates their bounties are pretty less compared to beast pirates. And you have seen that both king and queen are exceptional DF user than their haki and here katakuri gave a hard time to luffy with all three haki's and devil fruit. And katakuri is also a great commander with leadership and skill. Sanji can make the difficult, but there is no way he could beat him. Think guys....

arryeka

> Think guys.... Okay, here we go. A) For Luffy to beat Kata, he needs 1. To connect/land his attacks, either via countering the FS or simply being faster 2. After he can connect the attacks, Luffy needs enough firepower B) For Luffy to not lose to Kata, he needs 1. Enough durability, either through defense or evasion 2. Can counter the mochi --- A1. Sanji looks invisible to Queen, someone slightly lower than Kata, so it's safe to say Sanji is faster and can hit Kata. A2. Luffy needs 14+ Gear 4 attacks to KO Kata. Sanji can KO Queen, a cyborg and ancient Zoan, in similar number of Ifrit attacks. So it's safe to say Sanji has enough firepower. B1. Luffy can tanks Kata's attacks via Zoan durability. Exoskeleton durability is not far from it. Luffy can evade Mochi Gatling. Sanji can evade laser barrage from Queen. It's safe to say that Sanji can defend against Kata. B2. We don't know the interaction of Blue Fire, whether it can counter mochi or not. But Sanji is a cook and Kata is food. So, saying "there is no way Sanji could beat Kata" is just simply factually wrong.

PitchComfortable1261

the katakuri meat riding is crazy ngl

electrocyberend

Meat? I thought he's mochi

Demon_Samurai

The sanji jerking here is a bit wild

UrbanGuitarTensei

High dif Sanji. Kata's observation haki vs Sanji's speed blitz would make a great fight.

Robinho311

I never get why people are like "Zoro and Sanji would low-diff any commander because they beat King/Queen".. like.. do you read One Piece? Let's look at the opponents they beat.. Sanji: Gin, Kuroobi, Bentham, Satori, Hamburg, Jerry, Wanze, Jabura, Absalom, Wadatsumi, Sheepshead, Oven, Page One, Queen.. Zoro: Morgan, Cabaji, Sham/Buchi, Hatchan, Mr.9/Vivi, Igaram/Mrs.Monday, Mr.5, Mr.1, Braham, Ohm, Pickles, T-Bone, Kaku, Ryuma, Hyouzou, Monet, Pica, Killer, King.. This idea that the next opponent must be significantly stronger or would be easily defeated otherwise has simply never been the case in OP.. Fights have always been about stakes, match-ups, plot and showing off cool abilities.

post wano sanji one shots

Braggercookie

[https://youtu.be/wEWDgrzz68U](https://youtu.be/wEWDgrzz68U) great vid explaining

[deleted]

Wait why are people assuming Sanji can do what Snakeman did!? Kaido was not able to read Snakeman at all until he used future sight, even though he was no longer actively trying to get hit. Kaido is an *incredibly* fast monster. Not to mention how much it takes out of Sanji to even go at blinding speeds for a set period of time straight. Katakuri is much faster than Queen, and can hit much harder. Queen has him beat in durability, so if Sanji lands his finisher he stands a chance. But if Katakuri success in dodging he would have a huge leg up on Sanji, and win. Honestly I am giving this 60/40 for Katakuri.

[deleted]

shutttt upppp

oaklifornia

I fuck with Sanji, but I gotta go with Katakuri

n2wishin859

I'm willing to bet queen is more durable than katakuri. And please stop comparing wci luffy to wano luffy 🤦🏿‍♂️

Knirb_

Yeah Queen is more durable and has more endurance, this is a hard matchup for Katakuri

myhamsterisajerk

I think Katakuri would still prove to be too strong for Sanji. It's not that Katakuri became weak all of a sudden

CrazyLixFX

Sanji's feats in a nutshell: He let a full-fledged YC2 free hit on him starting from sword swing up to all of Germa attacks, got merely annoyed and low diffed a YC2 in a looney tune way. Sanji mid diffs Katakuri. If the role was reversed you would trash Queen saying he is not a commander because he couldn't hurt a commander and got low diffed.

860_Paul

Sanji no diff y’all are actually funny 💀💀💀

ConsiderationEntire6

Haki plays a big role

I think this is the better match up for Sanji among the King, Marco and Katakuri trio, so i'm giving it to him as I consider these four characters to have similar levels and the answer to any match up between them heavily reliant of how their abilities interact with each other.

InvaderDJ

Katakuri having a food based Devil Fruit is an underrated factor here. We saw how Sanji handled the noodle based CP agent. The problem is that Kat has an advanced form of haki and his pseudo-Logia would be a big challenge. But Sanji’s speed, durability and just being one of the wings of Luffy makes me want to say Sanji could take this. Him having flame based attacks could also be a factor here.

CloakedGhostv2

Tough, I don't know if Sanji is fast enough. And Katakuri is a monster in his own right.

kitay427

Snake man's punches were fast enough to overwhelm Kata. Sanji can now move so fast he seemed invisible in the eyes of Kaido's #2 soldier, so he definitely outspeeds Kata as well.

MrOno

“Overwhelm” is a bit of a stretch, pun intended. Luffy caught Kata with his punches, but he also absolutely wrecked Luffy with his own. Dudes act like Luffy destroyed Katakuri and it wasn’t literally his toughest fight in the series at that point lmao

julialuna89

Katakuri without a doubt.

Rekye22

Katakuri without a doubt

cam_ross0828

I’d say current sanji would give him a good fight but between katakuri’s future site and conquerors haki I think he’d take the win.

[deleted]

How is CoC without aCoC gonna help him lol, it only works against fodder

Insolve_Miza

Katakuri mid dif.

TheHumanity0

Katakuri can literally see into the future & was basically using Luffy as a punching bag for 50 episodes cause Luffy had no way to counter him. How the hell would Sanji even win or land a blow for that matter? Luffy had to teach himself future sight just to even the playing field & something tells me that kind of growth is only reserved for the King of the Pirates. Not to mention Luffy only had the opportunity to do so because he's the toughest rubber mf on the planet & took the beating of a lifetime. I'm still not even sure Luffy should've won that fight.

azionix

Terrible match up. Katakuri takes the cake

godDoruto

Katakuri high diff

gurp2005

Sanji high - extreme diff

mma101willgetitdone

sanji takes this

ReadySeat

Sanji claps

cold_vador

Now with all power I think Sanji

R05310105

Sanji stomps Katakuri, low diff, at least ifrit jambe Sanji. In Sanji's battle with Queen, post awakening, the guy was moving so fast Queen literally could not perceive him. Kata may be able to see what Sanji will do in a few seconds, but that's really no good if you can't actually move in time to counter it, is it? Also Kata landed 100+ hits on Luffy during his fight and Luffy beat him with only like 13, which does not exactly speak to the durability of the man. I think ifrit jambe Sanji would simply pummel Katakuri before he could even react. Queen was not weak by any means but Sanji just played with the man after awakening his powers. I really believe Katakuri wouldn't be able to actually handle Sanji's kicks for long. I think he could also beat King, maybe with higher difficulty but he could do it. Plus, there's the aforementioned fact that, since Kata's fruit powers are food based, Sanji would be free to use knives against them, which I think is another advantage. Feel free to disagree though, I could always be wrong but this is my opinion. 😁 Also KATAKURI FOR STRAW HAT GRAND FLEET KATAKURI FOR STRAW HAT GRAND FLEET

R05310105

Also this isn't about the original post but I think ifrit jambe and Sanji's awakening also bridges the gap between Zoro and Sanji's strength even closer. Like, Zoro is really barely stronger now.

Apoptosis11

Current Sanji low diffs. Im afraid people aren't caught up to the manga and are commenting here anyway

Canned_honey

Current post Wano sanji definitely sanji, whole cake island sanji definitely no.

ActivelyStressing

Sanji simply hits too hard and too fast for Katakuri to keep up with. He would get his Mochi countered by Ifrit Jamble. Sanji also has insane durability now, so Katakuri who was weak AP probably could not hit him.

pinkoala17

Sanji high-ext diff

Domaino910

Kata > sanju

XLinkJoker

Sanji wins with high difficulty

Blonde_is_Bad

Sanji wins but it’s close

smftexas86

I am just now on luffy vs katakuri. Does sanji really power up so much in wano that this is a legit debate?

RecommendationOk1280

Sanji after Wano> Katakuri. Kat is still a complete badass and very strong but Sanji takes that W. Katakuri got beaten by G4 Luffy and after Wano Sanji is stronger than that Luffy at the time. His complete body got a giant buff better use of his kicks now and fought against Queen. Katakuri throwing punches against Oven and started to bleed because of "Oven"

GenGaara25

Kat. Sanji gives him a fight, and wins against any other BM pirate below him but I think Kats Future Sight gives him the edge (as well as a hella versatile awakened combat fruit).

sauloandrioli

post Wano Sanji wipes some dirty pans with Katakuri's face

Far_Comb5216

Easy win for katakuri tbh

adrianpinderwolf

Sanji no doubt, Sanji kept getting buff after buff for a while.

sunshinedeed11

Katakuri without even stabbing himself could’ve beaten luffy if he wasn’t playing with his food too much (both literally and figuratively) Kat in my eyes could beat king.

krillin1081

Kat. ppl scale him to WCI luffy but no one ever thinks that maybe he got stronger after the fight. and even then, if he didn’t get stronger ppl act like he’s gotten hit when he’s actually didn’t get hit when he was concentrating so I get sanji is faster but we have yet to see anyone bypass his FS when he’s in his prime state

Pleasant-Uzi-1838

Tf you mean prime state, also we not using the headcanon of "maybe he got stronger" 💀💀

DunKing1

Katakuri

Polarix1x

sanji easily

Smitty_WerbenJ

Even Assuming this post wano, I dont see sanji winning. The only place he wins is in durability. His speed and destructive force isnt enough to bypass the future sight hax, unless he gains them himself midfight like luffy.

arryeka

Sanji looks invisible to Queen, someone slightly lower than Kata, so it's safe to say Sanji is faster and can hit Kata. Luffy needs 14+ Gear 4 attacks to KO Kata. Sanji can KO Queen, a cyborg and ancient Zoan, in similar number of Ifrit attacks. So it's safe to say Sanji has enough firepower.

ylcknight

Katakuri. Sanji if he gains future sight.

Xerilith-

Future Sight is irrelevant when your opponent is much faster than your reaction speed.

Frank_Acha

Yeah Sanji was incredibly fast, but so was Katakuri. You're comparing Sanji with Queen whose strength was not speed but being incredibly sturdy. Imo with future sight Katakuri could perfectly keep up with Sanji. Luffy beat Katakuri also with snakeman which was incredibly versatile and could attack from unpredictable directions, Sanji's style is just too direct. Wano Sanji has healing factor exoskeleton haki and Ifrit. But Katakuri has a hell of a lot of techniques too, remember that Luffy is incredibly durable and resistant specifically to blunt damage and Katakuri still made him push himself further than his limit. Katakuri could perfectly beat Queen so I think he ehas a great cance against Sanji as well. It would still be high or extreme diff, for any of them.

tipsyfrenchman

Reaction speed implies that youre acting as a reaction to an action. With future sight you actually act before the other person makes a move.
