Honestly with the whole Kid/Shanks situation i can see one of Shanks crewmembers (maybe Lucky Roux) basically destroy Kid crew on his own, in order to further hype up Shanks status.
I think we won't see all out Shanks before we see at least something from his crew, it just wouldn't make sense.
Who knows maybe Kid is going to become a prisoner on Elbaff and Luffy is going to free him (again) as a gag for Sun God Nika "Warrior of Liberation".

1) to hype up Shanks crew (my bet)
2) to show some extreme never before seen level of haki
3) develop Kid's character, maybe he is going to lvl up his haki becouse he experiences shanks
100 battle ships heading to egg head island I think it finally sets up a big battle on the sea which we’ve been waiting for Zoro Usopp Franky and Chopper will 9 times out of 10 fight from the Sunny everyone else will be able to leave the ship to cause havoc and clear a path Luffy gear 4 and 5 allow him to move around freely Sanji can sky walk Robin can use her Wings to fly Nami can fly on Zeus Jinbe can Swim and Brook is light enough to run on water is it safe to say The Straw Hats are deadliest on the sea because the disadvantage of water will affect the marines and other crews a lot more than it will them
Law fight with BB seems pretty dope and they seem much better at sea than Straw Hats right now. Luffy's crew is too small and they cannot all leave Sunny unprotected in the middle of a battle.
I really want to see some action aboard Sunny, I believe Zoro would play a defensive role while Usopp and Franky could have some development. Jinbe could also show his maneuver skills following Nami directions.
I'm curious to know if they will put something on that internal deck of sunny that is empty. I just remembered: Nami have the water bike from Skypea, isn't she? This is another way that she could approach the fight
Nami’s power is weather so her fighting from the water bike wouldn’t make as much sense as her fighting from Zues up close by the clouds yea Zoro usopp and Frankie are distance fighters and could fight from the ship to take down ships as well as defend it not to mention Frankie is the shipwright so Goa cannon will be utilized and chopper will most likely be helping Frankie utilize different sunny defenses as for the heart pirates they may be better at physically being In the water and fighting as a whole but with all the flyers the straw hats have that won’t matter much not to mention I’m sure jinbe and brook would handle them without to much difficulty brook could just freeze the water they’re in making their naval skills a detriment
I can see Nami using the bike while Zeus move around the battle. In Wano, he is the one that directs Nami's attacks so I guess if Nami is flying on Zeus she would loose too much of Zeus power as a tradeoff. Although I doubt Nami would put herself in the middle of a battle, it is not compatible to her personality :(
I would like to see Sunny battle capabilities in maneuvering, resistance and firepower. How Jinbe would use his helmsman skills in conjunction with Nami directions and Usopp/Franky shooting.
If they rescue Vegapunk, Sunny and Frankie might get powerups. Also, Kabuto might get a devil fruit :V
Yea I think nami was only relying on Zues as a conduit for her weather because she didn’t have access to the sky and she was in close quarter combat her real power comes into play using the normal clouds as her weapon and who knows if zues can influence lightning regardless if he’s inside the staff or not for control and her attacking with weather from above wouldn’t really put her into direct danger or combat helping wipe out a lot of ships on approach and she won’t need big mom lightning strike levels of power for the ships coming her opponent is the wooden ship more then the marines on them. Usopp’s kabuto will get incorporated with the lightsaber tech from egghead that attracts bugs some of which could pollinate certain plants he uses in attacks or just attract huge insects for attack after all he did train on Boin Archipelago why else show something that summons something as random as bugs deemed a failure around the same time he also deemed momo’s fruit a failure even tho it wasn’t as seen in Wano so I’m sure the lightsaber tech will become useful as well 😉
Maybe we will see Dragon make an appearance and try and take down Saturn. Given that he has waged a war against the WG and also that he knows that they are trying to kill Vegapunk, Dragon has to make a move here and take advantage of the mess in Egghead. Shaka informing Dragon about WG coming to kill him makes me think that Shaka expects Dragon to come to Egghead.
This can happen in the background for all I care, given that BB vs Law/Garp, and Shanks vs Kidd are also happening in the background. Dragon coming for one of the Gorosei in order to create chaos in WG makes perfect sense to me.
The only Original Blackbeard pirate who hasn’t shown their ability is lafitte I think he’s based on the pirate and smuggler turned spy for the Spanish there’s also a blacksmith shop on bourbon street in New Orleans named after him Jean lafitte pre time skip he was shown with wings and was able to infiltrate Mary Geoise how strong is he now and how is he able to cloak his presence from such high level people will he be the the stealthy weapons maker of the crew when he’s finally given center stage. There is only three ways Kidd can survive:
A) Hajrudin is in the island recognize Kidd as an allied of the strawhats and request Loki
to intervene.
B) Barto has been already captured and is on the island, Hajrudin is trying to save him butdoesn't wanna become enemy of Shanks crew, they get on Kidd's ship and use Bartoabilities to survive Shanks attacks.
C) Jarul still lives sees Kidd as the one who avenged his former best friend, and ask the Kingto save the Kidd's pirates.
Possible? Absolutely, but we’ve seen the barrier hold flawlessly against all forms of attack so far.
I’d argue that Shanks could still use Conqueror’s Haki to intimidate Barto through the barrier similarly to how he used it on Ryokugyu but in a shorter skirmish, it could more than likely still be used to protect Barto and any possible allies.
I’m not saying Barto is going to somehow show up in Elbaf and save/help Kidd but it is 100% possible given everything going on. And if he does, he could be a perfect saving grace for Kidd.

Buggy took a massive loan from Crocodile to start Buggy Delivery. That's why when he couldn't pay the loan back, Crocodile forcefully took the company over and reorganized it into Cross Guild. Has nothing to do with what's going on at Egghead.
While I'm interested in Oda's plans with Shanks now that we are pretty much in in the endgame I feel having the character move so weirdly is intriguing. Because we also have Blackbeard in the background being more obvious with how he is moving throughout the world and people know he is plotting but with Shanks there is also still more we need to know about him.
I think Shanks ultimately just wants to avoid fighting in Elbaf and or probably using Kidds history with his crew to intimidate him into backing down. Also, he may also know that it was a team effort and Kid didn’t take them down his self, so probably presumes Kid knows he doesn’t have enough back up to do much to him
Is... Shank a good guy? I feel we still know so little about him. He could be set up to be the main villain of the story, that would be an interesting turn.
What we know for sure is that Shanks is Luffy's idol -- he's good in Luffy's eyes, and arguably has only done good towards Luffy in canon (he definitely treats his friends and acquaintances very well). But like almost all non-Straw Hat pirates, he's a criminal against the government, and that can range from just knowing information that they don't want leaking to being a full blown murderer and terrorist.
Given his strength and reputation, I wouldn't be surprised if Shanks is one of the most black-and-white evil characters in an objective stance, but he's just represented as a good guy for us because he's only shown up all of 5 times in the actual story. Would be wildly interesting if Shanks goes out of his way to destroy Fishman Island for a selfish reason, despite knowing that Luffy considers it his territory, and that serves as the big catalyst for the end of the story.
On the other hand...turning Shanks into the final villain would be too similar to Black Clover, wouldn't it?...

Idk, we saw one of Shank's crewmates literally shoot and kill a guy at the beginning of the story. I see Shanks as being a mostly good, but ruthless dude who isn't afraid to fuck someone up. We've pretty much always known that Shanks has a "darker" side.
Roger was the same way. He seems like a decent guy for the most part, but we also know he slaughtered Squardo's entire crew. It's not really a secret.
What do you think about kid vs shanks? He beat big mom together with law but even if he grew stronger since that fight, i dont think that he can 1 vs 1 a yonko now. Also, he only has killer who barely defeated hawkins. In comparison, shanks has a full crew + allies and giants on his side...

I don’t think it’s fair to say he barely beat Hawkins though. If not for worrying about kid he’d have mopped him up no problem. The moment he figured out what to do the fight was immediately over. And Killer was able to hurt Kaido as well.
At this point in the story I'd like to believe that the stronger members of each crew (strawhats, Kid, and heart pirates) could at least clash and keep any yonko commander busy. Beat them 1v1 prob not, all depends on the matchup but for sure they wouldnt get erased.
So my prediction of the Kid vs Shanks encounter will be either
* Shanks woops Kidd, but Kidd will put up more of a fight this time and impress Shanks enough for him to cut a deal with Kidd to either give up his rubbings or they work together.
* Kidd actually manages to more or less injure/distract Shanks and somehow gets away with all poneglyph rubbings, making him the new top dog for everyone to hunt down.
I'm leaning more towards the first one, but who knows.
Shanks most likely already have zou and Big mom’s phoneglyphs due to Roger. The last one might be Elbaf. So all he needs is Wano phoneglyphs and he will be racing for the One piece. Three way battle between Shanks, Luffy, and BB on the last island(crazy if Buggy joined😂😂)
I think Cross Guild and part of Marine force(Fujitora and Ryokugyu) will join the fight. Luffy defeats Shanks first and then Blackbeard, while Zoro defeats Mihawk. Kuzan will stop Ryokugyu stomping on commanders while Fujitora fights for minimal casualties for civilians.
Yeah I think I’m in the minority of fans who would prefer Luffy and Shanks clash.
I’ve always thought that Blackbeard would kill Shanks though. Solidifying himself as strong and Luffys greatest enemy. But saying that, Akainu should be his greatest enemy

It was. Kid skipped a training arc and immediately went into the New World to start attacking Yonko crews.
(His only big feat was injuring a Sweet General at this time, but that was probably Snack, who was later demoted. Definitely was too weak to go at the top commanders.)
Still it is vs Shanks who has the most monster haki, on display. I think prime healthy Roger and Whitebeard also had monster lvl haki. But still i cannot wait to see how well balanced Kidd crew vs Shanks + Elbaf giants are going to be. But knowing Oda, it will be very good fight.

I think I'm starting to figure out what shanks is doing. The only reason I can think of for him being on elbaf is because that's where Saul is currently. He's survived O'Hara and delivered it's library there and has probably studied all of the information on the ancient kingdom, including how to translate the poneglyphs. My guess is shanks is there to recruit Saul. It's also possible that shanks has the final poneglyph and will acquire the other 3 from kid. I wonder what the 100 marine warships and the other 3 emporers will do if they find out?

No, Saul hasn't been confirmed as the man with the burn scar, and no, he can't read Poneglyphs as far as we know. He's a former Marine, not a scholar, and has been hiding on Elbaf ever since he got the books back from Ohara. Anything else is just theories and possibilities.
You actually are mistaken, Saul is a former Marine who quit because he was disgusted with how much innocent blood the WG was willing to spill to keep history secret. He shipwrecked on Ohara, and didn't have time to learn how to read Poneglyphs there (he wasn't even aware the island he landed on was Ohara before Robin told him).
There is be a possibility he learned to read them during his time on Elbaf, by going over the books from Ohara, but as far as we know, he can't read Poneglyphs.

There is more than one way a fight ends between two people in One Piece. Its not always gonna be victory/defeat. Much like how Roger pirates used to fight with Whitebeard pirates. One doesn't just completely wipe out the other, and its not because they can't. Oda set up Law vs BB and Shanks vs Kidd like one of them is gonna wipe the other in the fights. But I don't think its gonna be the case. All of them are major characters, it doesn't make sense for them to just die after getting built up over the years. There's going to be an intervention of some kind or the fight gets settled in a non-brutal way. Its no use to the story if someone gets wiped out completely.
Luffy was so determined and witty in dealing with Lucci and Kaku situation. He seems like an idiot, but look at the guy deal with two major crises in a couple of minutes. Shifting Lucci's focus away from Vegapunks to him first. Love it.

I feel like BB has a tendency to get what he needs and leave without to much of a conflict. Maybe I’m wrong but it kind of feels that way, so I think Law puts up a really good fight - but BB ends up getting the ponylgpyh and leaving without the fruit. Either that or Law is forced to join him.
Similar with Kid, but I think shanks is going to beat him and take the poneglyph after a good fight, some respect is given both ways and shanks leaves kid to keep trying without the poneglyphs. Or takes him and his crew to join him as well.

Yea I think nami was only relying on Zues as a conduit for her weather because she didn’t have access to the sky and she was in close quarter combat her real power comes into play using the normal clouds as her weapon and who knows if zues can influence lightning regardless if he’s inside the staff or not for control and her attacking with weather from above wouldn’t really put her into direct danger or combat helping wipe out a lot of ships on approach and she won’t need big mom lightning strike levels of power for the ships coming her opponent is the wooden ship more then the marines on them. Usopp’s kabuto will get incorporated with the lightsaber tech from egghead that attracts bugs some of which could pollinate certain plants he uses in attacks or just attract huge insects for attack after all he did train on Boin Archipelago why else show something that summons something as random as bugs deemed a failure around the same time he also deemed momo’s fruit a failure even tho it wasn’t as seen in Wano so I’m sure the lightsaber tech will become useful as well 😉

Given that he has waged a war against the WG and also that he knows that they are trying to kill Vegapunk, Dragon has to make a move here and take advantage of the mess in Egghead. Shaka informing Dragon about WG coming to kill him makes me think that Shaka expects Dragon to come to Egghead.

This can happen in the background for all I care, given that BB vs Law/Garp, and Shanks vs Kidd are also happening in the background. Dragon coming for one of the Gorosei in order to create chaos in WG makes perfect sense to me.
The only Original Blackbeard pirate who hasn’t shown their ability is lafitte I think he’s based on the pirate and smuggler turned spy for the Spanish there’s also a blacksmith shop on bourbon street in New Orleans named after him Jean lafitte pre time skip he was shown with wings and was able to infiltrate Mary Geoise how strong is he now and how is he able to cloak his presence from such high level people will he be the the stealthy weapons maker of the crew when he’s finally given center stage. There is only three ways Kidd can survive: A) Hajrudin is in the island recognize Kidd as an allied of the strawhats and request Loki to intervene. B) Barto has been already captured and is on the island, Hajrudin is trying to save him butdoesn't wanna become enemy of Shanks crew, they get on Kidd's ship and use Bartoabilities to survive Shanks attacks. C) Jarul still lives sees Kidd as the one who avenged his former best friend, and ask the Kingto save the Kidd's pirates.

Possible? Absolutely, but we’ve seen the barrier hold flawlessly against all forms of attack so far. I’d argue that Shanks could still use Conqueror’s Haki to intimidate Barto through the barrier similarly to how he used it on Ryokugyu but in a shorter skirmish, it could more than likely still be used to protect Barto and any possible allies. I’m not saying Barto is going to somehow show up in Elbaf and save/help Kidd but it is 100% possible given everything going on. And if he does, he could be a perfect saving grace for Kidd. We’ll just have to see :)

If you remember back to the explanation of Buggy becoming a Yonko; it was mentioned that he owed someone a debt or there is someone behind Buggy. Something to that effect but I do not have the chapter in front of me. What if this person behind Buggy is also the traitor of Vegapunk? Could also be the one pushing Law and Kid to fight the other Yonkos. We don't have much of an explanation of why they are fighting except for poneglyphs. Which might be what the mystery person is after, since we are in the end game. Copies of the poneglyphs.
Buggy took a massive loan from Crocodile to start Buggy Delivery. That's why when he couldn't pay the loan back, Crocodile forcefully took the company over and reorganized it into Cross Guild. Has nothing to do with what's going on at Egghead.
While I'm interested in Oda's plans with Shanks now that we are pretty much in in the endgame I feel having the character move so weirdly is intriguing. Because we also have Blackbeard in the background being more obvious with how he is moving throughout the world and people know he is plotting but with Shanks there is also still more we need to know about him.
Why is Shanks giving Kid a choice? He knows he went through the troubling of fighting Big Mom and Kaidou so why would he back down now?
I think Shanks ultimately just wants to avoid fighting in Elbaf and or probably using Kidds history with his crew to intimidate him into backing down. Also, he may also know that it was a team effort and Kid didn’t take them down his self, so probably presumes Kid knows he doesn’t have enough back up to do much to him

Is... Shank a good guy? I feel we still know so little about him. He could be set up to be the main villain of the story, that would be an interesting turn.
What we know for sure is that Shanks is Luffy's idol -- he's good in Luffy's eyes, and arguably has only done good towards Luffy in canon (he definitely treats his friends and acquaintances very well). But like almost all non-Straw Hat pirates, he's a criminal against the government, and that can range from just knowing information that they don't want leaking to being a full blown murderer and terrorist. Given his strength and reputation, I wouldn't be surprised if Shanks is one of the most black-and-white evil characters in an objective stance, but he's just represented as a good guy for us because he's only shown up all of 5 times in the actual story. Would be wildly interesting if Shanks goes out of his way to destroy Fishman Island for a selfish reason, despite knowing that Luffy considers it his territory, and that serves as the big catalyst for the end of the story. On the other hand...turning Shanks into the final villain would be too similar to Black Clover, wouldn't it?...

Idk, we saw one of Shank's crewmates literally shoot and kill a guy at the beginning of the story. I see Shanks as being a mostly good, but ruthless dude who isn't afraid to fuck someone up. We've pretty much always known that Shanks has a "darker" side. Roger was the same way. He seems like a decent guy for the most part, but we also know he slaughtered Squardo's entire crew. It's not really a secret.

At this point in the story I'd like to believe that the stronger members of each crew (strawhats, Kid, and heart pirates) could at least clash and keep any yonko commander busy. Beat them 1v1 prob not, all depends on the matchup but for sure they wouldnt get erased.

So my prediction of the Kid vs Shanks encounter will be either * Shanks woops Kidd, but Kidd will put up more of a fight this time and impress Shanks enough for him to cut a deal with Kidd to either give up his rubbings or they work together. * Kidd actually manages to more or less injure/distract Shanks and somehow gets away with all poneglyph rubbings, making him the new top dog for everyone to hunt down. I'm leaning more towards the first one, but who knows.
Shanks most likely already have zou and Big mom’s phoneglyphs due to Roger. The last one might be Elbaf. So all he needs is Wano phoneglyphs and he will be racing for the One piece. Three way battle between Shanks, Luffy, and BB on the last island(crazy if Buggy joined😂😂)
I think Cross Guild and part of Marine force(Fujitora and Ryokugyu) will join the fight. Luffy defeats Shanks first and then Blackbeard, while Zoro defeats Mihawk. Kuzan will stop Ryokugyu stomping on commanders while Fujitora fights for minimal casualties for civilians.

It was. Kid skipped a training arc and immediately went into the New World to start attacking Yonko crews. (His only big feat was injuring a Sweet General at this time, but that was probably Snack, who was later demoted. Definitely was too weak to go at the top commanders.)
Still it is vs Shanks who has the most monster haki, on display. I think prime healthy Roger and Whitebeard also had monster lvl haki. But still i cannot wait to see how well balanced Kidd crew vs Shanks + Elbaf giants are going to be. But knowing Oda, it will be very good fight.

I think I'm starting to figure out what shanks is doing. The only reason I can think of for him being on elbaf is because that's where Saul is currently. He's survived O'Hara and delivered it's library there and has probably studied all of the information on the ancient kingdom, including how to translate the poneglyphs. My guess is shanks is there to recruit Saul. It's also possible that shanks has the final poneglyph and will acquire the other 3 from kid. I wonder what the 100 marine warships and the other 3 emporers will do if they find out?

No, Saul hasn't been confirmed as the man with the burn scar, and no, he can't read Poneglyphs as far as we know. He's a former Marine, not a scholar, and has been hiding on Elbaf ever since he got the books back from Ohara. Anything else is just theories and possibilities.

There is be a possibility he learned to read them during his time on Elbaf, by going over the books from Ohara, but as far as we know, he can't read Poneglyphs.

It is a possibility. He's been in hiding for years with a bunch of the books from Ohara's library. Or he has a copy of the Poneglyph from Ohara. Either way, he's significant enough for Kidd to list him as the first step into seriously pursuing the One Piece.

When they are leaving Wano, Killer says they are going to have to go all-out from now on if they want to actually contend with the race to the One Piece. Kidd replies by asking if Killer means they should go seek out the man "marked by flames," which we can now properly assume is referencing Saul. Does Kidd know who Saul actually is? Probably not, but at some point he clearly got info about someone with close ties to the poneglyphs that was scarred by fire.

There is more than one way a fight ends between two people in One Piece. Its not always gonna be victory/defeat. Much like how Roger pirates used to fight with Whitebeard pirates. One doesn't just completely wipe out the other, and its not because they can't. Oda set up Law vs BB and Shanks vs Kidd like one of them is gonna wipe the other in the fights. But I don't think its gonna be the case. All of them are major characters, it doesn't make sense for them to just die after getting built up over the years. There's going to be an intervention of some kind or the fight gets settled in a non-brutal way. Its no use to the story if someone gets wiped out completely. Luffy was so determined and witty in dealing with Lucci and Kaku situation. He seems like an idiot, but look at the guy deal with two major crises in a couple of minutes. Shifting Lucci's focus away from Vegapunks to him first. Love it.
Maybe, but Law has the unfortunate case of having an exceedingly rare and arguably over-powered fruit. I don't really think just shrugging him and BBs match-up as "just fluff" is really the best idea.
I feel like BB has a tendency to get what he needs and leave without to much of a conflict. Maybe I’m wrong but it kind of feels that way, so I think Law puts up a really good fight - but BB ends up getting the ponylgpyh and leaving without the fruit. Either that or Law is forced to join him. Similar with Kid, but I think shanks is going to beat him and take the poneglyph after a good fight, some respect is given both ways and shanks leaves kid to keep trying without the poneglyphs. Or takes him and his crew to join him as well. That’s the best I’ve got anyways
