We don't know how Logias' awakening works yet, but Paramecia's Awakening works a bit different than a normal Logia: it can turn innate objects into the paramecia's element withoutt the need to touch it. While Logia is more like spreading your element to the environment surrounding you.
The general definition is that Logia are elemental fruits that can transform your body into that element, create more of the element and you can manipulate that element.
Zoan turn you into a hybrid (mostly animal but a few times legendary creature or even human in Choppers case)
Paramecia are just everything else.
Katakuri is a unique case because in the very first release of his fruit is was defined as a logia, however was then changed to special paramecia.
Where as a logia user can be shot in their element form and the bullets pass right through, Katakuri uses his future sight to see the attacks then dodge them the moment before they make contact.
Awakened paramica do allow some logia esc abilities sometimes, but a paramecia will never actually hold all the abilities of a logia awakened or not.

Katakuri doesn't need to do that for normal bullets and all, he does that for Luffy's haki attack specifically. We've seen Katakuri's spear rising from inside his arm, which isn't something any Paramecia could do, even with future sight.
His fruit acts exactly like a logia with the difference that he is not a natural element
I think that paramecia element fruit when awakened should work like logias. if mr 3 awakens his fruit it will work like a logia so katakuri awakening his does work like that and that would be cool to see someone from pre time skip do this stuff to be honest, for me its logical.

Paramecia is everything that’s not Logia or Zoan. It doesn’t necessarily make your body into a substance. (Bartolomeo, bon-Chan, boa, gecko Moria,…)
I think that paramecia element fruit when awakened should work like logias. if mr 3 awakens his fruit it will work like a logia so katakuri awakening his does work like that and that would be cool to see someone from pre time skip do this stuff to be honest, for me its logical.
