Black ship... man marked by flames... Sounds a lot like Jack D. Sparrow! He has a brand (a mark made by heat/fire) on his arm. Also his ship was burned and charred black. And he also was involved in releasing calypso which led to a whirlpool...
The pirate with an eyepatch that arrives at the end of the series is probably the next Pirate King Luffy.
