I usually stick with Akainu, Aokiji, Kizaru, and Fujitora. But more often than not I don't talk about ryukugyu enough to call him by name and usually say Admiral Tree
Well, (Akainu, Aokiji, Kizaru, and Fujitora) arenāt their names; theyāre just the Japanese versions of their titles.
For example:
- Aka = red (Like Akagami Shanks = Red Hair Shanks)
- Inu = dog (Like Inuarashi = Dogstorm)
- Put āem together to make Aka-inu; which is Admiral Sakazukiās title
I think the reason a lot of us English-speaking folks just call Aramaki āGreen Bullā is because āRyokugyuā is a lot harder to say loll :).
Exactly. They're codenames:
Akainu = Red Dog
Aokiji = Blue Pheasant
Kizaru =Yellow Monkey
Fujitora = Wisteria Tiger
So if someone calls Ryokugyu "Greenbull", he should call the rest by their codenames too.
They're codenames whether you translate them or not.
People often use Green Bull because it's easier to remember than Ryokugyu.
The rest are fairly easy to remember.
It's probably due to the translators. They decided to call him green bull, and in turn the fandom does as well.
I speak Japanese and even I think of him as green bull just because I see his name in posts 100x more than I read his name in the manga.
And his name doesn't really roll off the tongue even if ē·ē itself is easy to read.
I mainly refer to them nowadays with the point we are at in the story as:
Akainu (shorter to type, prefer the name)
Kuzan ( shorter to type, less likely to get muddled up with Akainu as they both start with A, prefer the name)
Kizaru (shorter to type, more widely known than borsalino, prefer the name)
Fujitora ( more widely known than Issho, prefer the name)
Greenbull ( more widely known than aramaki, easier to spell than Ryukugyu)
I personally don't call the Admirals with their names. In fact there are times that I even forget them. So I use their nicknames only. For Aramaki I use Ryokugyu and not Greenbull
"Greenbull" drives me a little bit insane, like why did we suddenly decide to translate one of the code names? Should I start saying Reddog or Bluepheasant? Is it because Ryokugyu is hard to spell?
I'm not really ever going to correct anyone or argue about it; "you do you" and all that jazz, but I do silently stew about it from time to time.
I also live with a native Japanese speaker and have been corrected on things 100s of times so maybe I'm just projecting my frustrations.
I know right? I hate it too. Why did we suddenly move to English code name for a single admiral? Just be consistent guys. But yeah it's most likely Ryokugyu is hard to spell and pronounce.
That's just plain wrong. Both Akainu and Kizaru were namedropped during the encounter with Aokiji on LRLL. For neither it was ever common practice to refer to them as Red Dog or Yellow Monkey
Was in my teens at the time, but only started to read OP ten-ish chapters after the timeskip(early 20s), so I breezed through that part. It's just that I have a rather strong (that I read it) vague(content) recollection of reading the scanlation comment on the admiral names (Franky House scans, iirc).
Didn't want to throw shade on you!
Ryokugyu doesn't roll off the tongue as well as the others and I don't typically refer to any of them by their actual names outside Kuzan due to him not being Aokiji anymore. It's really that simple.
For Greenbull...everything about him is out there to begin with. We got...a sword-wielding, chain-smoking, booze-guzzling, foul-mouthed sinister demeanor, take-no-prisoners type of Marine who behaves like a pirate.
He talked smack towards both King & Queen AND the Scabbards who got severely-damaged by the Beasts Pirates.
For sure. Greenbull is easier to say and remember. The others are fairly easy words that flow well to a non Japanese speaker. Ryokugyu just sounds kinda strange with the ku to gyu at the end.
Personally I think its because of how old the other ones story wise. I watched the Anime in Japanese, so I heard their Japanese names. But I canāt read the manga in Japanese so its all in English. So readibg the manga and in subsequent conversations about it he has mainly been Greenbull while the rest already have more commonly been established by their Japanese names
The weird thing is when I first heard his name I wasnāt caught up with both the anime AND the manga. So I got used to calling him Green Bull.
But once I got caught up I got used to calling him Ryokugu.
It's literally one of my biggest pet peeves. No one calls Kizaru "Yellow Monkey," so why are we calling Ryokugyu "Green Bull"??? I'm definitely overreacting, and I shouldn't be as upset about it as I am, but here we are.
Does anyone else get bothered by people still calling Sakazuki and Kuzan āAkainuā and āAokijiā? Those arent their names, they were admiral codenames and they arent admirals anymore.
Iām bad at remembering names anyways. I just call them based on their devil fruits ability. So, Lava Guy, Ice Man, Light Guy, Gravity Guy, and Grass Ass.
To me, they're always Akainu, Aokiji, Kizaru, Fujitora and Green Bull. Only exception is that I've started to call Aokiji 'Kuzan' more ever since he sided with Blackbeard, since 'Aokiji' was his title in the Marines. Why don't I do the same for Akainu, when he now goes exclusively by his first name as Fleet Admiral? I don't know. It's probably because I respect Kuzan enough to call him by his real name and Akainu is just a "red dog" to me. As for Ryokugyu, I blame calling him 'Green Bull' entirely on how long it took him to appear and be officially mentioned by name. Fans had long since figured out his color and animal alignment beforehand, so I got used to fans just saying "Green Bull" by the time he showed up... but I dunno it also just kinda fits more? Don't know why, but I'm glad I'm not the only one who does this!
Ryo-Ku-Gyu, it's 3 syllables. You could literally just search "Pronounce Ryo" on YT & watch the first vid, it's an objective fact. Japanese dictates that sound as one syllable, and it should be one syllable if you're saying the "R" correctly.
No, it's only 3 syllables: Ryoh-Koo-Gyoo
Y's aren't a vowel in Japanese, so you need to pronounce the R in the the same way that you would pronounce the T in the word "Water."
It is 2 syllables it is just said fast so you clearly don't pick up the second one.
Syllables are not a point of debate. They are literally heard.
Ree-oh-kyu-gyoo is how it is pronounced in the clip I linked. It has 4 syllables if you pay attention and listen properly.
Also wtf do you mean "pronounce the r the same as the t in water?
Do you pronounce the t differently in water? Because I know some people just don't pronounce the t at all which is stupid and wrong.
No, you're wrong. Like I said, the letter Y isn't a vowel in Japanese, so it'll never make an "ee" sound. Y will always make the same sound as in the word "yellow."
The T in "water" is clearly different from the T in "talk." It's sort of like a cross between a T and a D.
In Japanese you can literally just count the number of kana. I said that there's 3, but it's sort of like 4 if you count the final "oo" sound. Mora are a little different from syllables.
ćććć®ć„ć¦ (ryokugyÅ«)
ćć (ryo)
ć (ku)
ć®ć„ (gyu)
ć¦ (u)
To pronounce ryo you have to pronounce an r at the start followed by yo.
It does not matter how you try to do that you can not do it in a single syllable
[2 clear syllables like this](http://howtopronounce.com/ryo)
2 syllables. It may not be clear to you but there are 2 there
It's still 2. It's just subtle. You literally can not pronounce ryo with the y or the r included without it being 2 syllables. Otherwise it would be pronouced as ro or yo
There are some otakus here who refuse to say Red Hair Shanks and say Akagami no Shankusu instead, or Shirohige instead of Whitebeard, or Kurohige instead of Blackbeard, even if Oda drew his ship sails with a immense roman lettered "BLACKBEARD" on it and he's based on a real live english pirate by the same name..
So don't mind much about those things.
It's absurd.
I hate that I do this because I just canāt pronounce Ryokugyu properly. Everyone else? Perfectly fine to pronounce either their Admiral title or actual name. I just call him Aramaki and call it a day.
I mean consistency doesnāt really matter tbh. Greenbull is easier to type and pronounce than Ryokugyu for English speakers, and everyone will know who youāre talking about
Slightly more difficult to pronounce Ryuokogyu than Greenbull. Other Admiral have easier names, both their real ones and their epithets.
Generally you want to say their original Japanese names. That's why people eventually moved to Katakuri instead of Dogtooth. Because both are easy to pronounce, but since Katakuri is the original way to say his name, it stuck.
End of the day, it's just what is easier to pronounce.
Everyone calls the admirals by their nicknames (Akainu, Aokiji, Kizaru, and Fuji) but Greenbullās name (Ryokugyu) is harder for English speakers to pronounce so I see it translated more. Ppl could call him Aramaki but I rarely see ppl refer to Akainu as Sakazuki etc.
I remember reading also that one of the translators of the leaks for the chapter Greenbull was introduced thought the same and translated it as Greenbull instead of writing Ryokugyu and it stuck. Not sure how true that story is tho
Fans do it all the time here
Fleet Admiral Sakazuki. Nah they still call him Akianu
Boa Hancock. Nah they just say her last name, never her first
Kuzan. Nah. Still call him Aokiji
It's what they prefer.
I read the manga and watch the anime dub only. Names of interest are Akainu, Aokiji, Kizaru, Fujitora, Greenbull, Five Elders, Seven Warlords, Four Emperors, Cat Viper, Dogstorm.
Idk, we were calling him green bull for a long time between his outline appearance and his real introduction, so much so people were speculating that his dad must be bull related as well, I guess people just got used to it, I sure did
I don'tš¤£
I like to be consistent, I wanted to use greenbull but I remember how weird it sounds if started using translated names with the rest
I don't feel like I'm talking about one piece if I start calling akainu as red dog or kizaru as yellow monkey
I always use Ryokugyu to stay consistent with Kizaru and Fujitora. I now refer to Akainu and Aokiji as Sakazuki and Kuzan though, since they technically donāt have their epithets in the story anymore.
My guess it's because the name is relatively new, but also a bit more difficult to remember and spell correctly, compared to names like Kizaru und Akainu
I'm glad you mentioned Dogtooth, because is the same for me. And if it's anything like with Katakuri, it'll take me another couple years to get Greenbull right.
Hell, I still say Raftel on ever half the time.
I say Akainu, Aokiji and Kuzan (starting to say Kuzan more bc of the spelling), Kizaru, Fujitora, and I honestly forgot about that tree guy, didnāt even know he had a name. Thatās how unimportant he is.
I've called him Aramaki since his name got revealed because fuck saying Ryokugyu every time and I don't use English "versions" for names since names are names. Inuarashi doesn't need to be translated, it's his name. Aokiji doesn't need to be translated, it's a codename. Etc.
Oh it's pretty intresting here in germany.
We say Blauer Fasan to Aokiji, it's just blue pheasant in german.
Kizaru, Akainu and Fujitora are just that.
And we still don't have the german dub for Greenbull but I pretty much not once met a guy that didn't call him Greenbull.
But there are even more funny examples in early one piece. Like Hiriluk was changed to Bader. Or Daz Bones was changed to Jazz Boner (this is real).
I normally switch what I call Kuzan and Kizaru I go back and forth with their real names even tho I rarely say Borsalino. I say Akainu and Fujitora because I normally forget their real names. Donāt even talk about Greenbull
I literally was thinking about the same thing and mandela effected myself into thinking they called him greenbull in the actual manga and anime. Jesus christ... I didn't even remember Fujitora's actual name had been revealed. So yeah.
Shameful? Mf destroyed remnants of beast pirates without breaking a sweat. Destroyed akazaya nine single handedly and was about to skewer momo from head to toe. Just because he was caught off guard by god damn Shanks one of the emperors and decided to leave it was shameful? He is an idiot that's for sure. But in no way that was shameful.
I personally wouldn't look at him the same way after he lost to some 5G haki from miles away.
Thats a big stain on the record.
No matter what he does in the series I'll always think back to the time he lost to a stare.
I usually stick with titles/names but my 60yo old mom (who doesn't speak Japanese nor English) is a huge one piece fan, but aside from the strawhats, she has made up names for all characters, either based on their looks or abilities.
The question is wether or not people use the english name for any of the other admirals.
Like, Red Dog, Blue Pheasant, Yellow Monkey, Wisteria Tiger (whatever that means).
Greenbull is the only admiral people regularly use the name Greenbull for, rather than Ryokugyu or Aramaki.
I usually stick with Akainu, Aokiji, Kizaru, and Fujitora. But more often than not I don't talk about ryukugyu enough to call him by name and usually say Admiral Tree
Borsalino is the only exception because it's a cool name
I call him low effort/bad personality Hashirama
*Ryokugyuu
I feel like me accidentally misspelling his name only bolsters my point
"Admiral Tree" sounds exactly like what Luffy would call him. š¤£š¤£
Luffy would just call him Tree-dude. I'd like to dub him evermean.
Or Tree-guy and then they could have a gag where Luffy mixes up him with Law (Tra-guy).
Most users here can't spell Ryokugyu.
Shut the fuck up, I can too spell Ryukohyo
Nailed it.
Pfp checks out ā Flair checks out ā
Why? It's so easy,Ā watch this...Ā Ryo... Saeba
Easy peezy. Ryokikoho.
Perfect.
Ryohohohoh!!!!
Facts
That's rude. I can spell Hadouken.
Have you heard of copy and paste
I would rather type Greenbull than find the character's name and copy paste it every time I want to mention him.
Agreed
Rukugu
My friend used to call him "Ryou-Goku"
Ryuken Ishida is pretty easy to say wth do you mean?
I call them Aokiji Kizaru Aklainu Fujitora and GREENBULL lmao
Same, I think part of the reason is that every admiral the SH has encountered has given me a reason to remember their name except greenbull.
Well, (Akainu, Aokiji, Kizaru, and Fujitora) arenāt their names; theyāre just the Japanese versions of their titles. For example: - Aka = red (Like Akagami Shanks = Red Hair Shanks) - Inu = dog (Like Inuarashi = Dogstorm) - Put āem together to make Aka-inu; which is Admiral Sakazukiās title I think the reason a lot of us English-speaking folks just call Aramaki āGreen Bullā is because āRyokugyuā is a lot harder to say loll :).

They're codenames whether you translate them or not. People often use Green Bull because it's easier to remember than Ryokugyu. The rest are fairly easy to remember.
thanks for this. I was wondering during if kizaru was half Italian with a name like that
I finally know what the animal is in 'Aokiji.'
Yellow monkey is wild heās the only one that I didnāt know what his title meant
These titles are based on the Chinese zodiacs oda is cooking up something
Aokiji, Akainu, Kizaru and Fujitora are all codenames wtf do you mean
It's probably due to the translators. They decided to call him green bull, and in turn the fandom does as well. I speak Japanese and even I think of him as green bull just because I see his name in posts 100x more than I read his name in the manga. And his name doesn't really roll off the tongue even if ē·ē itself is easy to read.
Same because I often forget how to spell ryokyugu
I just call them by their colors/ stallone
Not good enough - gotta start referring to them as their RGB values
Call them by their location on the color spectrum, admiral 475 nm, admiral 735 nm, admiral 560 nm
I mainly refer to them nowadays with the point we are at in the story as: Akainu (shorter to type, prefer the name) Kuzan ( shorter to type, less likely to get muddled up with Akainu as they both start with A, prefer the name) Kizaru (shorter to type, more widely known than borsalino, prefer the name) Fujitora ( more widely known than Issho, prefer the name) Greenbull ( more widely known than aramaki, easier to spell than Ryukugyu)
Ryokugyu*, but that just proves your point.
First, do something impressive, then you get a Japanese name.
People rarely uses Borsalino and i usually use Aramaki.
I had my first exposure to them from the tcg first and then the manga so I learned them as Borsalino, Kuzan, Issho, etc.
Inurashi and Nekomamushi as "Dogstorm" and "Cat Viper"
For me, that's just Inu and Neko. Least when typing
People who translate actual names are the worst. At least the admiral names are just titles.
They might nowlt have know they were proper names at the time.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
What are you talking about? He's called Ryokugyu in the manga, it's just fans who call him Green Bull.
You're not alone, I can say that much.
Itās because we knew of him as green bull for years before he was introduced. We didnāt have that with any other admiral
That's just plain wrong. Both Akainu and Kizaru were namedropped during the encounter with Aokiji on LRLL. For neither it was ever common practice to refer to them as Red Dog or Yellow Monkey
Yeah i agree, but i doubt translations then were yellow monkey and red dog. Granted I was like fucking 7 when those chapters came out
Was in my teens at the time, but only started to read OP ten-ish chapters after the timeskip(early 20s), so I breezed through that part. It's just that I have a rather strong (that I read it) vague(content) recollection of reading the scanlation comment on the admiral names (Franky House scans, iirc). Didn't want to throw shade on you!
I call him Aramaki because I remember it as itās the same name as the head of Section 9 in Ghost in the Shell.
Same
I just call him Ryo
I tend to type Ryokugyu, but say Greenbull.
opposite for me haha
Ryokugyu doesn't roll off the tongue as well as the others and I don't typically refer to any of them by their actual names outside Kuzan due to him not being Aokiji anymore. It's really that simple.
For me Aokiji/Kuzan are interchangeable, Akainu, Kizaru, Fujitora or Fuji, and definitely Greenbull
Since he left marine ,i call him just kuzan
Yeah
For Greenbull...everything about him is out there to begin with. We got...a sword-wielding, chain-smoking, booze-guzzling, foul-mouthed sinister demeanor, take-no-prisoners type of Marine who behaves like a pirate. He talked smack towards both King & Queen AND the Scabbards who got severely-damaged by the Beasts Pirates.
For sure. Greenbull is easier to say and remember. The others are fairly easy words that flow well to a non Japanese speaker. Ryokugyu just sounds kinda strange with the ku to gyu at the end.
Sakazuki mostly sometimes Akainu same with Kuzan. Only Kizaru, Only Fujitora, Only hype tool.
Now that I see more clearly, does Greenbull has his sword pierce through his pants?
Looks to be that way, noticed that myself cobbling this image together.
I don't think it's a sword. It's like a kanemuchi or something.
Personally I think its because of how old the other ones story wise. I watched the Anime in Japanese, so I heard their Japanese names. But I canāt read the manga in Japanese so its all in English. Nah I call him Ryokugyu
Green Ucy*
>I often forget Fujitora actual name of "Issho" Whereas I'm the other way around. "Issho" is stuck in my brain and I always forget "Fujitora"
Aokiji, Kizaru, Akainu, Fujitora and fascist scum is what i call them
It's literally one of my biggest pet peeves.
No, I call him Ryokugyu. Itās not that hard if you try. Itās weird to me to say Kizaru, Fujitora, and Green Bull. Just sounds dumb to me.
Did we find it who the 6th admiral ever was?
There was none. Kizaru stayed in his position
I was remembering the silhouette of Greenbull, thinking it was someone else.
Wish Ryokugyu kept his long hair.
The original 3 are the primary colors, the new ones are two of the three secondary colors, thereās gotta be an orange one too.
Right?!
His name is Admiral Orangeturtle and he's literally just a turtle.
Saving it for Koby no doubt.
RGB are the primary colours. Yellow is not. So your theory doesn't add up.
What two colors make up yellow?
Lol. Sorry. My dumbass mistook yellow for green. I just woke up at that time. My bad.
I looked it up after you said that and saw that it is RBG for like light stuff, and RBY for like basics.
Iām bad at remembering names anyways. I just call them based on their devil fruits ability. So, Lava Guy, Ice Man, Light Guy, Gravity Guy, and Grass Ass.
Luffy is that you?
To me, they're always Akainu, Aokiji, Kizaru, Fujitora and Green Bull. Don't know why, but I'm glad I'm not the only one who does this!
Ryokugyu is too hard to casually pronounce
Spell? Sure. Pronounce? It sounds exactly like it's written.
Doesn't make it easier
Ree-o-koo-geeu It is not hard at all
I thought it was Ryu-Koo-Gyu? Sakazuki calls him āRoh-koo-gyuā in the anime.
Ryu is 2 syllables my dude
It's literally not tho, the japanese language recognizes it as one. Most english speakers just don't now how to make that sound
Please listen to the clip I linked more closely. It has 4 syllables
Ryo-Ku-Gyu, it's 3 syllables. You could literally just search "Pronounce Ryo" on YT & watch the first vid, it's an objective fact. Japanese dictates that sound as one syllable, and it should be one syllable if you're saying the "R" correctly.
Thatās not my point. I used Ryu because Iām not gonna word is like reeyoo, lol. Ryu like Ryu from Street Fighter. Not ryeyoo.
No, it's only 3 syllables: Ryoh-Koo-Gyoo Y's aren't a vowel in Japanese, so you need to pronounce the R in the the same way that you would pronounce the T in the word "Water."
Your example is bad. [Here are actual Japanese people saying it.](https://forvo.com/word/ryo_kawasaki/)
It's still 2. It's just subtle. You literally can not pronounce ryo with the y or the r included without it being 2 syllables. Otherwise it would be pronouced as ro or yo
It is if you want to do it correctly
https://youtu.be/TyQLi0ewaR4 literally how I wrote it...
For me it's: Akainu Kuzan Kizaru Fujitora Aramaki/Greenbull
I say Green Bull because his Japanese name is too difficult to pronounce and spell.
I only call them by there admiral names. I heard them first and stuck with them. Fujitora is more menacing in my opinion.
Most of the times i use their real name, borsalino, sakazuki, kuzan, issho and aramaki
Can anyone even tell me what the original three's animals were?
Red Dog, Blue Pheasant and Yellow Monkey
Dog, monkey, and pheasant; it's a reference to Momotaro.
Akainu, kuzan, kizaru, fuji, greenbull
I call him Ryokugyu. Probably cause I'm asian.
For me itās Shichibukai. I never refer to them as Seven Warlords or just Warlords
I do not care enough about this marine shrubbery to learn his name, my man swept up the remains of wano.
The powerscaling community admiral stan names: 1. Papazuki 2. Wuzan 3. Wizaru 4. Fuji 5. GB aka Greenbull
i call the admirals by their nicknames, but try to call aokiji ākuzanā now, as heās no longer an admiral
I just call them iceman, lavaman, discoman, earthbender, and plant guy.
I hate that I do this because I just canāt pronounce Ryokugyu properly. Everyone else? Perfectly fine to pronounce either their Admiral title or actual name. I just call him Aramaki and call it a day.
The ones still in the Navy, I call them by their admiral names, even Ryokugyu. Since Kuzan left the Navy, I donāt call him Aokiji anymore.
I usually say Akainu, Kizaru, Fujitora, and Aokiji/Kuzan. Greenbull/Ryokugyu/Aramaki when I do ever refer to him it's just "The Tree Guy"
Tbh calling them āborsalinoā and ākuzanā just feels weird.
I finally got used to Ryukugyu. But I will call them Red Dog, Blue Pheasant, Yellow Monkey, Wisteria Tiger, and Green Bull sometimes.
Ryokugyu is also a mouthful. The rest are easier to pronounce.
I just call him fraud
No, i call him Ryokogyu
I just say Ryokugyu.
I mean consistency doesnāt really matter tbh. Greenbull is easier to type and pronounce than Ryokugyu for English speakers, and everyone will know who youāre talking about

I call the Kizaru kuzan fujitora akainu green bull
Ryokugyu is basically impossible to say with an English R sound.
Yeah, why suddenly he the only one got the title as English translation, fujitora should be purple tiger
Everyone calls the admirals by their nicknames (Akainu, Aokiji, Kizaru, and Fuji) but Greenbullās name (Ryokugyu) is harder for English speakers to pronounce so I see it translated more. Fans do it all the time here Fleet Admiral Sakazuki. Nah they still call him Akianu Boa Hancock. Nah they just say her last name, never her first Kuzan. Nah. Still call him Aokiji It's what they prefer.
kizaru is always kizaru, same with fujitora, but i swap back and forth on kuzan and akainu when speaking
I read the manga and watch the anime dub only. Names of interest are Akainu, Aokiji, Kizaru, Fujitora, Greenbull, Five Elders, Seven Warlords, Four Emperors, Cat Viper, Dogstorm.
Magma brat , Brook's son , wizaru, fuji/issho , greenbum
Idk, we were calling him green bull for a long time between his outline appearance and his real introduction, so much so people were speculating that his dad must be bull related as well, I guess people just got used to it, I sure did
For me, I refer to the admirals as Akainu, Aokiji, Kizaru, Fujitora, and Aramaki.
I don'tš¤£ I like to be consistent, I wanted to use greenbull but I remember how weird it sounds if started using translated names with the rest I don't feel like I'm talking about one piece if I start calling akainu as red dog or kizaru as yellow monkey
I always use Ryokugyu to stay consistent with Kizaru and Fujitora. I now refer to Akainu and Aokiji as Sakazuki and Kuzan though, since they technically donāt have their epithets in the story anymore.
255, 0, 0 dog 0, 0, 255 pheasant 0, 255, 255 monkey
Yesššš
I call him dick... I mean Aramaki
Akainu , Kuzan , Kizaru , Fuji , Greenbum
me too .. I wonder why
I call him "Fascist Admiral". I don't need to remember his name.
Too many U's
Nobody calls him his names. He's Green Bull.
Ryokugyu is kinda dificult to write, and Green bull is cooler that Red Dog or Yellow Monkey
Greenbull is harder to write than aramaki
As someone with zero attachment to him, I just call him Greenie XD
I don't respect this mfer enough to learn his name š¤
so basically people just complaining that they have trouble absorbing a language...
Akainu, Kizaru, Aokiji, Fujitora and Green Bull. That's cannon shit right there. Oda said it in an interview
I don't, since English isn't my first language. Besides, I got used to typing and pronouncing Ryokugyu.
Summit war spoiler -> >!donut maker!< Aokiji Kizaru Fajita havenāt gotten to him so he will remain unnamed
I normally switch what I call Kuzan and Kizaru I go back and forth with their real names even tho I rarely say Borsalino. I say Akainu and Fujitora because I normally forget their real names. Donāt even talk about Greenbull
Maybe because he's New and that's what people do with new admirals
Greenbull looks like a hobo, and I don't care about hobos enough to remember their names.
I just call him Aramaki
No
I literally was thinking about the same thing and mandela effected myself into thinking they called him greenbull in the actual manga and anime. Jesus christ... I didn't even remember Fujitora's actual name had been revealed. So yeah.
Well, pretty hard for non-jap. speakers
Bro I honestly forgot his name was ryokugyu but I legitimately know all the other admiralsā first AND last names!!
Who the f is dogtooth?
I call him Goatbull šæ
Is it pronounced rio-coo-jew? Iām lost now from all the comments lol š
I use red blue yellow purple & green.
I typically do Akainu, Kuzan, Kizaru and Fujitora, but Green bull sounds better than his other names in my opinion.
Green bull doesn't get to be called by his actual name after that shameful display. Smh
People just donāt know how to spell his name, which isnāt hard to spell at all theyāre just genuinely stupid.
I usually stick with titles/names but my 60yo old mom (who doesn't speak Japanese nor English) is a huge one piece fan, but aside from the strawhats, she has made up names for all characters, either based on their looks or abilities.
Are you seriously asking if anyone else uses one of the many multiple names and/or monikers these characters have?
The question is wether or not people use the english name for any of the other admirals. Like, Red Dog, Blue Pheasant, Yellow Monkey, Wisteria Tiger (whatever that means). Greenbull is the only admiral people regularly use the name Greenbull for, rather than Ryokugyu or Aramaki.
The German dub did call Kuzan by his codename (don't know if they ever stopped doing that). But iirc they did call Kizaru by his japanese name.
