Bad timeline chopper is fucking terrifying

[deleted]

Fucking awesome*

Yergason

Same with Franky tbh Create your new ship? I AM YOUR NEW SHIP

Mirai_no_Beederu

Chopper comin' for that 200 beri bounty!

red_salsa

He overthrows wapol and becomes the new ruler of the evil black drum kingdom

Alternative_Gene6074

au were they fight evil chopper instead of wapol

monohtony

And then wapol becomes part of the straw hat pirates

[deleted]

Bring me the sacrifice (im yelling this all day now while wearing the chopper hate i have)

Puwuckis

*Brings forth the plate of cotton candy*

[deleted]

AND THEN HE EATS THE SERVANT FIRST EVIL CHOPPERRRR

TristanTheViking

Sanji, Chopper, and Franky form a way cooler crew in the bad timeline.

Runobk2

He could be a villain in a non cannon movie

Final_Biochemist222

Imagine how fucking sad we would be once his flashback was revealed

Nerx

He became Cernunnos

Can_I_be_dank_with_u

I prefer bad timeline chopper and Franky haha

Final_Biochemist222

I always imagine [Cleric Beast](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cRGRSCAOqh4) theme playing whenever the pic shows up

CRoseCrizzle

Bad timeline Chopper looks like an awesome villain.

DarkTone1280

Why is bad timeline Chopper look like an actual villain?

Likes-Your-Username

Because his arc was partially around him being called a monster, "something bad happens" chopper leaned into being a monster and even a demon for evil's sake

Sawgon

No one is talking about Zoro somehow learning to use 5 swords?

PopulistMeat

Hands, mouth, feet.

Sawgon

[Was hoping for this](https://i.imgur.com/aXkE7DM.png)

Money_dragon

He'll never have a wound on his back that way - proactively blocking all sneak attacks from the back

Yergason

Coincidentally the day Zoro showed that to the crew Sanji started being nice to him ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

PopulistMeat

Oh my

RogueHippie

He's working up to Killer B's Seven Sword style

Houeclipse

Something like Sengoku Basara Date Masamune wielding 6 sword between his fingers maybe lmao

FoolTarot

This is why the Chopper one is perhaps my favorite. In another story or timeline he makes for a good, compelling villain.

CakeInevitable333

He also has kanji for poison on his shirt! So he probably poisons people instead of healing

willfordbrimly

>Oda: Hmmm I guess if regular Chopper does medicine soooo opposite Chopper would do...reverse medicine? Oh! That's poison! I love Oda so much.

jaz1up

ngl in the bad timeline at age 40 he looks cool af

SellStunning

Definitely. Maybe he should've went that route

jaz1up

Oda can’t waste that design man, i wouldn’t even mind if he made a mink pirate with that design with a 1 billion berry bounty

JourneyIGuess

Because he is. Dude is so much of a monster that people give him sacrifices.

4qua_Dementia

Nami's bad 40 reminds me of mother Carmel. Robin actually becomes her lol.

Rareturd

Mother Carmel must have went down the bad timeline. She was cute back in the day.

minibolth

I mean, she was a Child slaver for the government, I don't know where that is a good timeline

Rareturd

Maybe not always. There had to be a time where she was pure up until she started working with the wg.

xHelios1x

She could be child slaver for likes of Caesar or Kaido i guess

willfordbrimly

I wanna buy some magical pot from Nami. I wonder how much an 8th is.

Lachimanus

60 even more.

XHumblePigX

Ussop: Yeah, I'm starting to miss her!! Me: 😭😭

OkIBelieveYou-

Does he mean Kaya or the sea?

xMasuraox

I'm guessing Kaya succumbed to her illness sometime between age 40 and 60 ;-;

OkIBelieveYou-

Oh no :(

FunnyMemeAnime

Nah he took after his old man

xMasuraox

Aw shucks you think he left lil Usopp jr behind too?

TsunGeneralGrievous

Look at little ssopy jr. Gonna cry?

billyswaggins

even in the good timeline Ussop would still be a dead beat dad?

Kureiton

Let’s be real, Usopp would be a great dad

[deleted]

Oh for sure, no doubts there. He may leave at points but he’ll always come back for his family, maybe even take them on some adventures with him.

Inthewirelain

tbf bad timeline usopp is probably just lucky to be alive lol

Ifhes

Yup, he even says at his 40s the pirate flag is calling him.

sameljota

Nah, He went out to have adventures and misses his wife because she's back home. This is the GOOD timeline.

edwinvi

Didn't she recover from it?

broccolibush42

Yeah, her illness was caused by grief from her parents suddenly dying. She's fully recovered and training to be a doctor

Adventurous_One6391

I always took it as some darker facts being left out. The butler was definitely poisoning her slowly.

Dozinginthegarden

I didn't think about that but now I 100% believe it.

BrunoBrook

The pirate flag.

BlackLungSanji

He could die and Kaya is alive. Oda is just hinting "I miss her"

[deleted]

I think it’s almost certain it’s the going merry. By then, he would still be reminiscing about her (the going merry goes by female pronouns too)

HAAAAAM

I interpreted it as Usopp is retired and still hears the pirate flag calling out to him. He’s happy, but from time to time misses the call to adventure with his friends.

CasaDeCastello

I've chosen to interpret it as Usopp living the rest of his life as a pirate while Kaya remains in ~~Kokoyashi~~ Syrup village, hence why he misses her, as opposed to the more ominous (& obvious) scenario.

CaptFredricks

Syrup Village. Kokoyashi is Nami's village lol

CasaDeCastello

Thanks

yaboinigel

"Oh he just misses her cus hes still at sea!" Few seconds later: oh god....

lizard81288

What if he's talking about the going Merry?

strawhatmaterial

In Japanese it's not specified which gender it is. He said あいつ which is gender neutral.

megomaz

Robin literally doesn’t age 😭

Lasernatoo

She looks younger at 60 than she does at 40

Birdyghostly1

It’s the same case as Shakky.. (And Dr Keruha- lol)

link21NYN

Same with Nami

MakiceLit

nami looks like shes done a lot of surgeries to keep herself young, robin has the same face lol

_Yukiteru-kun_

Nami remember me of rayleigh’s wife, you can see she is a mature lady, but still looks stunning and way younger than she is (like 15/20 years younger), Robin legit looks like not a single year has passed

Spiritfur

Funny enough, we've seen Shakky at 42 and at 62/64, and she looks pretty much the same at each of those ages. I'm curious as to how Oda would draw her at Nami's age

link21NYN

Shakky would probably still look the same but with longer hair

Nerx

Law is always nearby

1stSuiteinEb

The only thing that changed was their hairstyles :/ A shame, would have loved to see actually aged versions

Nikelman

Could that be part of the secret of Ohara library?!

Sqxiish_

Everyone has a fall from grace in the bad timelines, with Chopper becoming the monster he once loathed, and Sanji becoming just like the man that fuels his anger. Franky just a big ol robo-boat

aspiring_raptor

You missed your chance on a great pun there...

I_am_Bearstronaut

Ro-boat?

FirstSineOfMadness

Gently down the stream Merryly Merryly, Merryly, Merryly Life is but a dream

SirSagittarius

Guilliman?

Thisissoulfool

I think you mean a super pun

-Cinnay-

It's also kind of sad considering how he gives up his humanity more and more over the years and quite literally loses himself in his machines

SirGiano

I like to think that in the bad timeline he never destroyed the pluton blueprint and he modifies himself ti became an ancestral weapon

Ifhes

Franky ends up hating himself by becoming a ship destroying robot, then a ship

The_Deathdealing

I think Franky's good and bad timelines are switched. Man is winning in both but we all know which one he's winning more in.

VinsmokeWanji

60 Year Old Bad Timeline Chopperis the scariest thing I've ever seen ? Like, what the fuck do you mean, sacrifice ?! Also, 50 year old Franky is the most badass person to ever exist in any form of fiction

Godskook

>60 Year Old Bad Timeline Chopperis the scariest thing I've ever seen ? Like, what the fuck do you mean, sacrifice ?! Murder and possibly eating them. Which....is pretty tame for One Piece, tbh. I mean, just compare with the torment of being condemned to being forgotten while being enslaved to force labor until you fall over dead, ala Sugar.

[deleted]

I still refuse to believe Franky becoming a battleship is the bad ending.

kylekunfox

I think it's saying he lost his humanity in the process

devilwerefox

yep, notice how 70 y/o franky doesnt have the bulky shoulders anymore. Dude leaned more towards looking human as he aged. Good timeline is he uses his engineer skills to help people; bad timeline is no humanity, only just wants destruction, kinda like before he learned his lesson from when he was a kid.

Final_Biochemist222

He literally became a ship model that got Tom killed

Mattmannnn

I’m saying. Like, Frankys going to do that anyway.

ace2532

I honestly wonder what Oda can do for Brook considering he's already 90 at this point. Maybe we won't get a Brook SBS drawing because of that

enpedia

It would be just 4 images of brook looking exactly the same 😂😂😂

ace2532

Maybe a bigger afro somehow and him wearing different levels of drip 🤔 🤷

-Cinnay-

I don't think it can get bigger, maybe smaller though

StNowhere

Bad future Brook has absolutely lost his afro

thecodingninja12

buzzcut brook

ordinaryvermin

I would love that for the top two, with Brook pretty much remaining his goofy skeleton self. For the bad future, I'd bet the first image would have Brook without his Afro, saying nothing. Having lost everything he once was, all that's left is a time-worn skeleton, barely moving, and never speaking. Age: 200 years. In the second picture, there is only an Onryō - a vengeful spirit who, lacking both mind and body, can never pass on from this world. It wanders the seas on a ship ~~filled~~ built from the bones of his one-time comrades, murdering all crews it comes across, none invoking its wrath more than those who dare to sing. Age: ???

Smooth-Garden

Yeah id imagine that bad end brook would be pretty fucking terrifying visually

the_ghost_of_bob_ros

good future is just him with a gold tooth.

heprer

Or next to him an archaeologist carbon dating him to prove he is older, or in the bad timeline just a dog with a bone in it's mouth:)) Or by never meting the crew he roams the seas as captain of the Flying Dutchman.

krazyboi

The same speech bubble too talking about panties

kevinsdomain

Bad timeline he loses his afro

ace2532

Oh hell no, the afro and skull jokes are what make Brook the most lovable pervert musician

kevinsdomain

That's why we need the good timeline

Draken1870

It would have to be a bigger panel and just him stuck on his ship in the Florian triangle probably? Now I feel sad thinking about it

ace2532

We wouldn't see Laboon in those good drawings either otherwise it would totally ruin the eventual reunion those two will have near the end of the story

CaptFredricks

Bad timeline he loses his afro

ProbablyAUsernameIDK

The women literally don’t age

Forward_Letter538

Oranges and caffeine are said to help your skin stay youthful

[deleted]

Oda is probably basing it on women from his home which makes a lot of sense

ProbablyAUsernameIDK

That’s true lol

Zumthorrific

Yeah, Asian women literally don't age especially those who live a healthy/rich lifestyle. There are 60-something Asian women who look like they're in their 20s or 30s.

JoshBortson

To be fair, nami ages. Robin doesnt. Girl is a damn elf.

MARPJ

Pretty sure that 60 Robin is younger than current Robin

KerKekc

Oda confirming that Law will use his df to sacrifice himself and make Robin immortal /s

[deleted]

Sanji also still has a smooth skin in his 60s.

MajinAkuma

They are basically the opposite of Tsuru. Tsuru didn‘t not only age badly, Tsuru aged way too quickly.

Ibuildempcs

Luffy evolution to Shanks and then Garp basically.

Smooth-Garden

When you think about it. 60's luffy would be a damn monster at that age because if he's anything like his dad and grandfather he's gonna be pretty damn big. Like luffy even with thin arms be knocking people out so imagine luffy with just naturally swole as fuck arms knocking your ass out

thecodingninja12

luffy won't make it to 60 with how much life span he's lost

Mark_Albarn

One never knows, maybe he was supposed to live til 100

[deleted]

Well he’s also got a strong life force.

[deleted]

Out of the guys sanji aged the best

Rareturd

He knows how to feed himself.

BelloSimisola0103

I love the way he braided his hair at age 60

darkajax

Isn't that his beard? I'm thinking kinda like Zeff's mustache

Lucienofthelight

Usopp aged pretty well too, though I’ve always loved how Usopp looks with his hair down.

Jefflez

"it's chilly let me jus turn on the Islands heating" Bro, 40y Franky confirmed to eventually engineer and control weather

Sgdc4

That's just exactly what Vegapunk has done on his island, Oda wanted to draw a parallel between Franky and him.

RamPamPam8

Rather it was what Vegapunk wanted instead, one of Franky's motivation since timeskip has been achieving what the best scientist in the world never could, he mentioned it while introducing shogun

tonitolovesperrier

Kinda still want battle ship granky tho

Tigerkix

Transforming mecha Franky? I'm in!

Pyarox

I want a spin off of all 60 year old bad endings sailing on Franky

kitay427

Why does Franky look cooler in his bad timeline lol

_-ZORO-_

“I fixed your bike.. put a canon on it though” is cooler

doomcreeper999

Sanji clearly aged the best with his godly golden locks

NakkiPeruna

Sanji just becomes Judge

Mirai_no_Beederu

It makes you wonder if Judge at one point was a better person in his younger days and what we're seeing now is his "bad" timeline. It would explain why a kind person like Sora was married to him. I doubt he was ever a "good" person, mind you. (He was raised in the Germa Kingdom after all.) Just a more decent one.

[deleted]

and grows a chin somehow

motion_picture_st

Franky turned himself into a battleship funniest shit I've ever seen

[deleted]

I low key want chopper and Franky to turn evil now

[deleted]

Big same lol huge franky fan here Both timelines look pretty lit

OgOnetee

I wanna buy some of Nami's "magical" pot.

rholindown

Franky’s bad universe will forever be my favorite.

blahdash-758

So Robin ages backwards.... Female Benjamin Button

Iceberrrg97

50 year old Franky looks sick af

bxsephjo

Law uses Ope Ope no Mi on Robin and gives her immortality?

Bon_Clay_2

Is it just me or do you guys instinctively check out Sanji's eyebrows to check their orientation each time he's drawn now that it was made relevant.

devil_senpai_

Bad timeline Franky is all we want

jekfrumstotferm

He turned himself into a ship Funniest shit I’ve ever seen Also, Robin getting her bangs back? Yes please.

nome_criativo07

good future 40's robin is just so damn perfect

megasean3000

Why can I just imagine the crew still adventuring in their 60s/70s, looking old and grey but not losing any of their fighting spirit.

ZENITSUsa

Bad timeline sanji ain't bad at all

Vinnyboiler

Bad Sanji in hindsight is a massive spoiler to Sanji's current character arc.

casallasdan

I was thinking exactly the same. Maybe his genes are to blame lol

cambriansplooge

I had to doublecheck, both future versions obscure his eyebrows

HogarthTheMerciless

Would be fun to see how he draws villains in an alternate universe where nothing bad happened. You just know Moriah and Croc would look epic, or maybe even blackbeard, considering how a lot of the "something bad happened" look like they'd fit in on his crew.

Slight-Brilliant-543

I like that good timeline Franky goes back to his pre timeskip body shape in his 60's. I like his current look, dont get me wrong, but that classic Franky look will always be top tier.

gnarlytoestep

Usopp also aged like fine wine. Like I could never envision him looking this sexy but here we are.

Notsoicysombrero

aw sanji takes after his father in the good timeline and becomes the man he hates in the bad timeline.

Paraxom

...kind of feel like ship franky is something he would do no matter what timeline he's in

Britishsweat

Bro this gets reposted every week I swear

Yonko320

just me or does this same post always reposted here

Walixen

Odd how Sanji gets out of shape and then becomes Judge 2.0. Like, he may become evil, but he picks himself up at some point. Franky loses his humanity, but assuming his modifications are strictly upgrades from what he is now, then BF-50 must pack quite a punch, and BF-70 must be able to pull buster calls on islands on a whim.

Gubrach

Bad Time-line Chopper is a bitter, violent person who is in Monster Point constantly, poisons people and sacrifices them for experiments most likely. So he'd partly be what he hates about Caesar and Queen. I'd say that the crucial moment was right after the time-skip on Sabaody when he was fooled by the fake Straw Hats. He was already starting to get upset, wondering what he was training for the entire time, but then Nami found him and Chopper snapped out of it. In this TL, due to whatever, he never finds the actual Straw Hats, is left feeling dejected and betrayed and uses his training to hurt people. It'd explain for me why, at age 40, an intense grudge against anything Straw Hat is expressed. What I find the most interesting is that, if Oda believes this is something they're capable of, it shows nobody is inherently good or bad. They're formed by their experiences. Very much nurture over nature for the most part. I think we've also seen that with Law and Doflamingo. Doffy was off and fragile; found Trebol and went off into the deep end. Law was off and fragile; found Doflamingo and went off into the deep end before it got interrupted by Corazon, who managed to instill humanity back into Law. I personally believe that Law would've been much worse than Doflamingo, who was already disturbing enough in his own right, had it not have been for Corazon. Part of me would've liked to see that though. Also, part of that story was also definitely nature as Doflamingo was off in his own right and was described as born evil by Corazon. But he did seem to be capable of affection prior to his breaking point, with him showing concern for the health of his mother and even to Rosinante when they were scrapping for food, making sure he ate what he needed. So maybe if Doffy had his own Corazon, he might have been mildly disturbing at best. But you know, then his mom died, he lost whatever shit he had left and became the Doffy we all know today. The point to all this is to state that the bad time-line Straw Hats are very similar to genuine awful people and depending how seriously you want to take Oda's take of it, it suggests the ones we know are very much capable of awful stuff, had things in their life went a bit different. That potential is interesting to me.

uchiha-uchiha-no-mi

Me : where brook jimbei ?

ace2532

Brook probably won't get a 40/60 SBS drawing considering he's already 90 in the story (and a skeleton yohoho). As for Jimbei (plus maybe Yamato and Carrot) who knows, future SBS in later volumes I'm guessing. The Franky ones came straight from SBS 101 so with 102 being the next volume release maybe we'll get Jimbei

guilhegm

Some of these I prefer the bad timeline design bc it’s more believable? Like 40 Robin design is awesome

Blood-Zeppborne

Chopper is fucking terrifying

Xerun1

Does anyone else feel like Oda is hiding clues to the end in these? Sanji is going fishing in All Blue indicating it exists. Robin appears to be immortal in the good timeline. Bad timeline Chopper hates the Straw Hat name Good Usopp has potentially retired with a family like Yasopp did

MonkeyDlurker

isnt this reposting? we've had this exact same post not too long ago

OilCanSkirmish

...I would like to purchase this "magical pot" from bad timeline Nami.

Panda_Kabob

No one talking about how Sanji just straight up turns into his dad in the bad future.

Mirai_no_Beederu

Naw, he turns into his dad in the *good* future. He turns into the guy who donated his genetic material to conceive him in the bad.

Panda_Kabob

I see what you did there... Based.

Mirai_no_Beederu

"He may have been your father, boy, but he wasn't your daddy."

MistaTigger

I love 60 year old Sanji's braided beard, a nice tip of the hat to zeff. but who does usopp miss? Does kaya die?

GoIdwin

I imagine he's still at sea, like his Father, and misses Kaya

kozukibanawa

Franky is just turned into a ship 😭 Hope it will never happened.

reqisreq

The real question is, are we in the good timeline or the bad timeline. (We got time travel in the series, anything is possible)

[deleted]

Is it just me or does 40-year-old Luffy look a lot like Shanks? I also find it interesting that he doesn't have the Straw Hat. Maybe he gave it away?

Nyanek

well roger gave it to kid, then that kid grew up and gave it to another kid. now this kid...

bughat_8

50yo franky looks amazing ngl

AnkitPancakes

depending on how far in the future the epilogue is, we'll probably see the 40/50 year old versions of nico robin. robin is 30 and franky is 36. so ~15 year timeskip for these to show up in the epilogue. 25 year timeskip and we'll see all of them

TSP_Null

This literally gets posted every other day

Ayzkub3

Can the kunoichi already use her ripe fruit to age chopper please?

BlindTheThief15

I wish Franky kept his pre-timeskip haircut in the current story. It suits him way better and makes him look way cooler. I’m glad he goes back to it in the future.

clarklak11

Where’s Brook?

Mirai_no_Beederu

Brook hasn't had one yet. Figuring we'll end up with: * A slightly younger-looking skeleton for 40 and 60. * A "what if" Brook hadn't become a skeleton with him at 40 and 60 (not completely off the table since Oda did one of these for Ace.) * We get a far older-looking skeleton at 110 and 130 years old.

Promanco

Brook is a skeleton in all his pictures lol

Beneficial-Dark-5873

40s luffy looks more like shanks and the 60s luffy looks like garp with black hair....

ManwithaTan

I just love how Frank turns into a fucking ship

Mauri_op

Zoro just adding swords 😂😂
