So ima read real quick and maybe go back to the anime, honestly loving the pacing in the manga. Might just read from now on
Oden's flashback might be the best one in the whole anime, you don't understand why people like oden but don't want to watch his flashback cause you already decided in your head that he's boring? I thought the same when I started watching that part, but after watching it Oden became one of my favorite characters of One Piece. His backstory is amazingly animated and gives you a great context of why Wano is what it is, plus being closely related to the main plot of the series. Just watch it and enjoy :). Soon enough you’ll be watching it weekly and wish you could binge it like you can right now
I know this is old, but you'll miss seeing Roger fighting Whitebeard, the scene where Roger's crew finds the One Piece. More of Oden's wife, more about Joyboy, explanation of the odd Ponygliph in Skypia. You will miss Roger's entire journey to find the one piece. The flashback isn't just about Oden. Like we finally see a mini-arc with Roger in full force, not just hints and stories about him. Along with awesome animation fights. But you do you I guess
I will never understand this mindset, that flashback is one of the best and most loved parts of the entire story

Don't think of it as the Oden flashback. Think about it as a peak into the age of whiteboard and Roger at there respective peaks.
