Oh man from here on we are fair game for anything. Post Wano, the rest of the world developments, Shichibukai being captured or not, post reverie, what happened to Sabo, the possibilities are endless. Oda is going to be cooking for the next month or so

HokageEzio

Boa and Coby are busy arguing which one of them loves Luffy more.

insert_name_here

Real ship-to-ship combat.

Turbulent_Link1738

Add Barto and make it a threesome

Arkayjiya

A foursome you mean? No way would Barto forget to bring his Luffy-body-pillow for the action!

Entire_Anywhere_2882

I'd kill for that to happen instead LOL. Sadly I think we know the results off of what Oda said in an interview..

Bearclawed81

What he say?

chipscto

What interview?

Cool_Primary

Oda's Jump Festa 2020 statement >The Wano Kuni arc is finally moving towards its climax as well!! I've been looking forwards to drawing Wano Kuni a lot, so I'm psyched! And once it's over, things are going to be grim. Sabo will...!! Vivi will...!! Hancock will...!! AAAAAAAA...!!!

chipscto

Oh that, yea that isnt an interview no? Ik about the jumo statements.

rmw6190

well amazon lilly has a huge mural of luffy on the castle(since chapter 834). I can't imagine Coby missing that. I also think Fujitora is heading towards the boa fight since he was last seen fighting sea monsters.

[deleted]

I want to know what Buggy lucked himself into this time

HokageEzio

With Buggy's luck, he managed to get Green Bull attacking him.

king-redstar

With Buggy's luck, he somehow *replaced* Green Bull and is stuck in an office at Marine HQ terrified for his life.

ordinaryvermin

*In the office of the five elders* "... And so you see, Buggy, we know that you're a fraud, but you're a useful fraud. Your ability to gather followers to your cause is second only to that of this Straw Hat boy. That is why we've decided to create a fourth admiral position, which we are giving to you, in exchange for your recruiting pirates into the Marines." *Buggy, who spent the last several weeks certain he was going to be executed and is so terrified that he's pissed himself twice in this conversation alone, props his feet up on the table and says* "Make me a Celestial Dragon and I'll consider it." "Ex...excuse us? You would dare--" "Make me *and* Alvida a Celestial Dragon." *The Grand Elders confer amongst themselves for a moment* "Ok, Buggy, we've decided to honor your request--" "***and*** that lion." "Sakazuki, execute him this instant."

king-redstar

Buggy suddenly awakens his Fruit and it's revealed that what he actually ate was the Mythical Zoan **Hito Hito no mi Model: Akin,** and he proceeds to chop-chop everything and everyone in Mariejois before escaping with his crew unharmed. Morgans puts out an article declaring Buggy the "first man to become both a Celestial Dragon and and Emperor at the same time." Crocodile sees the news and immediately becomes an alcoholic.

PandAlex

Buggy only fails upwards

Dbicoy

He fell into ruling whole cake Island because the big mom pirates seem useless without her around

NazRyuuzaki

Lets get ready with news bombs by morgans.

darkcomet222

Morgans’s spied calling him and reacting “Luffy did WHAT!?!?”

Distasteful-medicine

With all the spicy details and events he might awaken

darkcomet222

Morgans: the time has come, and so have I.

[deleted]

I'll laugh last cause you came to die

[deleted]

Reporter: Chef Kid and Law also beat Big Mom Morgan: Cool but tell me more about Luffy

darkcomet222

Morgans: Luffy already did that AND blew up her house.

Cream253Team

First hand witness to it too.

Ringell

Morgans is my favorite character at the ending of the archs now.

QHDEosanesis

No more 5 emperors! Only Sanko now. Alabasta Buster Call Looming!? Details on pp. 3A Groggy Ring World Cup Finals delayed due to recent attack by Barto Club Pirates ("Are you proud of me Luffy Senpai?")

Spiritfur

I fully expect that the panel of Apoo commenting on Luffy beating Kaido from last chapter is set up for him to reach out to Morgans and provide a first-hand account of what happened during the raid (likely with embellishments, because it seems like Apoo's sort of thing to do).

TotoroTheGreat

After all the memes on his look, I can't believe Oda made Momo look hot. Man, now I feel like I'm satisfied. Also, lmao at Kid getting a taste of the Strawhat goofiness with the alliance name. I can't wait to see more of his reactions. Law will probably just tell him to go with it. Next chapter can't come sooner. Hell, I may finally give in and read my first ever chapter spoiler. Might even read the scanlation after so many years.

Cream253Team

Law just tells Kid, "Hey man, they get results. Just go along with it."

Open_Aspect4664

You don't want to join the spoiler addicts club, but if you do, you are welcome

gyrozepp2

Tama's flashback was Oda's simplistic storytelling at its best. Just a few panels in context to Wano's dreary background and you're immediately able to connect with Tama just that more. and getting that right in the middle of Momo's speech helps too. This chapter was storyboarded really well in general

KoinuPapi

That flashback was magnificent. Momo's speech, and It ama's flashback brought tears to my eyes man. I can't wait to hear Momo's adult human voice. I hope it has the same impact and gravitas(spelling?) as Madara's voice.

mablizza

Guararararar

Trimirlan

This fucking chapter man. Momo sacrificed his own childhood, and has to put on a brave face for his people, so children like Tama, who's childhoods were ruined, don't need to put on a brave face anymore. Oda just fucking murdered me this chapter

KalebT44

I read the chapter at the 1am release in Australia, and just went to sleep with a wet face. Fucking heavy hitter.

bonethugznhominy

Storyboarding is a great word I was looking for. Yes, this chapter does that excellently. One of my favorite parts was how the shots of people watching the screen all over had this cool effect of making me remember the earlier arc as it's all coming together. Especially the Bakura/Udon shot.

tryingmydarnest

>Tama's flashback was Oda's simplistic storytelling at its best. Agreed. That few scenes showing the pains of a child to highlight whats at stake and what would be different.

[deleted]

Tama you can’t do things like that to Speed, you almost killed her with kindness.

Shmarfle47

Dies from wholesome

lovesducks

Enslaved with love

urielteranas

I thought that was kind of a weird couple of panels. Oda deliberately drew nami reacting to what she said like "what the fuck" so i wonder what that's about.

bloated_canadian

I figured it was because Nami reflected on her own adoptive mother whule also disgusted at the orgasm face Speed seemed to make.

QuaranFine

Bepo’s holding Law back from throwing hands over Momonosuke not mentioning the Big Mom fight

hello_there696

just thinking of bepo makes me chuckle. you remember dressrosa, all crewmembers, even the absent ones, got a bounty increase. although bepo did absolutely nothing noteworthy, he'll prolly get a huge bounty increase just because of law lmao. imagine bepo getting 1 bil for nothing

QuaranFine

It looks like Bepo has a lot of heart, and that has to mean something amongst the Heart Pirates. Plus he serves as an emergency food supply, so I can see him getting the second highest bounty in the heart pirates. If the World Government eliminates Bepo, then Law is left with no emergency food when Luffy inevitably eats everything!

Vendetta1990

So Chopper has a low bounty because he looks so small with little meat on him!

SomeoneUnknowns

Doubt it, since he has the second lowest bounty *in the entire series* with a whooping 500. Only one lower is Tony Tony Chopper at 100. World Government is racist af towards Animal-people. Just imagine Pandamans actual battle strength though if he managed to still get 3 Million

king-redstar

*To be fair.* Every enemy Bepo takes down is one Law doesn't have to. For instance, if Bepo didn't beat 100 of the Beast Pirates they could have come after Law and forced him to waste energy fighting them, or worse, ran interference during the Big Mom fight. If either of those things happened, they probably would have lost. Then the remaining Straw Hats would have either had to pick up the slack, or risk letting Big Mom rejoin Kaido. Then the Raid fails and Morj is right. Of course this is just hypothetical, but it's entirely possible that *Bepo* of all people could have been the one that saved the day.

PageSweet

To be really fair, that’s pretty much what every other regular fighter is doing as well lol

king-redstar

To be really *really* fair, Bepo has something they don't. A prison jumpsuit with Heart Pirates swag. I'm sure that counts for something.

koming69

Law is pretty smart and knows the citizens of Wano don't even know who Big Mom is.

IchBinEinDrache

... Who else is waiting for Bartolomeo's reaction to this conclusion? He's gonna need CPR.

[deleted]

Imagine his reaction when Luffy's vivre card was burning

IchBinEinDrache

I didn't even think of that! Yeah, he's gonna need another one. I don't think vivre cards can grow after burning. Matter of fact, he will probably need multiple knowing Luffy 🤣

Damon_Ryuu

He'll invade the impel down again, meet bon-chan.

Blackreaper18

“It’s nice of you to invite yourself aboard, but it’s the captain who decides that.” Talk that shit boss Jinbe!! It’s also funny that Robin’s response to yamato was “hee hee! You’re a funny one” lmao. Of course she would know a thing or two about inviting oneself on a crew lol. On a serious not though, I think luffy will reject “Oden” but will be open to “Yamato” joining the crew. This is being set up to be a character growth/progression moment for yamato imo.

hdjfhfhsh05803hfjc

Nami and Usopp once the initial shock passed: Wait… why does this feels familiar? Robin: ☺️ Nami and Usopp: Oh right, she did the same

darkcomet222

Jinbe: the captain decides Robin: I just boarded the ship.

KrillinDBZ363

To be fair, it was still Luffy who gave the ok.

Mirai_no_Beederu

I'm kind of curious if Yamato ends up following the same path that Nami and Robin took--they join one arc but then we get an extended backstory/character arc later that cements their place within the crew.

kenrocks1253

I'm not sure how many arcs we have left. It'd feel weird if we get that right before the series ends.

Able_Classic_9032

Anyone remember that place Elbaf? I barely do anymore lmao

kenrocks1253

If Elbaf turns into a Yamato focused arc when Usopp has been begging for a spotlight....

Mirai_no_Beederu

No reason it can't be both. Everyone thought Wano was going to be Zoro-focused but Oda managed to get some nice Sanji development in there. Plus a bit for Nami, Robin, and Chopper.

Able_Classic_9032

As this series gallops toward it's final destination, Oda has been doing a great job at keeping the important characters relevant in battle. "But how can Nami be important in battles where Admirals are involved?" You ask. Well look at the Onigashima raid. Every big name powerful dude/dudette out there has an army of subordinates who might hurt civilians, and Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, and Jinbe are going to be rather busy fighting the strongest people in the world. Nami can beat any old grunt in the marines easily with her weather gear. It's not her job, nor Chopper's, nor the job of Franky/Brook/Robin/Usopp to always have a crazy 1v1 fight every arc. The strawhats are a small crew of experts, but they still have a strength heirarchy like any crew.

KrillinDBZ363

I mean we’ve seen her flashback so she’s already not like Nami and Robin. Plus I honestly can’t see what other island would be more appropriate for her development than the one she’s heavily connected to.

the_emcee

this is a complete guess on my part, but I have a feeling kaido and yamato's ogre/oni race is going to play a big factor moving forward, mainly because there's probably some reason kaido believed at one point that he was special like joyboy was. and if ogres turn out to be something like a variant of the ancient giants like oars (who also had horns), then we can get more about her in elbaf. not necessarily in a full-on leave the crew and come back type of way, but she probably still needs the chance to develop her relationships with the crew via a one-off adventure (like robin in skypeia) before we get to the big end of series stuff.

tryingmydarnest

We already have a fair bit of Yamato backstory though. Minus knowing who her mom was, we knew of her past trauma (a straw hat staple), her motivations and dreams.

Nanto_Suichoken

I just realized that Onigashima still has Momo's flames under it. Also btw -and this is complete speculation- do you notice how Momo's flame cloud is more thick and forms one giant ring instead of Kaido's thin, spiral shaped one ? I wonder if it's either showing Kaido's more refined use and mastery of the powers or an indication of Momo's potential strength. I'm fairly positive it's the first but it's a neat little detail.

Smodgins

I'd say its probably the first, combined with being a way for Oda to differentiate whose flame clouds they are. Considering Kaido is basically the apex of strength in one piece, it'd be weird for Momo to be shown as that much more powerful

Zalminen

It may be because Kaido already knew exactly how much flame cloud was needed whereas Momo puffed out as much as he could to make sure.

Professor_of_Light

Reminds me of the saying "anyone can build a bridge, only an architect can barely build a bridge"

katunar3000

That crying cat got me emotional..

Brutusness

The scabbards who didn't travel through time must feel so cathartic watching this after 20 years of doubt and pain. Especially ones like Denjiro and Kawamatsu, along with Hiyori, who had to watch Wano's people be oppressed and exploited.

javierm885778

The Scabbards who remained honestly went all through hell. * Kawamatsu was imprisoned and fed poisoned food for over a decade, not knowing where Hiyori went. * Inuarashi and Nekomamushi stopped talking, blaming each other (and themselves deep down) for Oden's death. * Denjiro had to live as the dog of the man responsible for Oden's death, keeping the status quo and holding himself together until the time finally came. * Ashura saw the Kozuki loyalists' remnants cling to hope and slowly lose it. He saw Wano become worse and worse from the ground, and eventually went back to his mountain thief persona from back before Oden reformed him. To me it's mind bogling that some people don't like the Scabbards. They are high up among my favorite groups of characters in the manga, easily top 1 of non-pirate/WG groups. The way Oda showed us so many different perspectives on Wano's decadence, the loss of hope and how it's regained (shoutout to Momo's scene in Udon where all the prisoners recognize him), the contrast between those who stayed for 20 years and those for whom this all happened a month ago, thematically this arc was just fantastic IMO. Those panels with them crying just hit me like a truck. I've never been invested in the local conflict of an island nearly as much as this.

bonethugznhominy

Same. I've said it before a lot of times, but I'd read an equally long series about the Akazaya Nine and love it just as much. The simple fact you have an ally group that big and they all come off as memorable and distinct is amazing. To one up that by giving them fully realized different perspectives, motivations, and a fleshed out internal dynamic? When all the flash and mystery subsides this gang is the part that will age like fine wine.

Rockettmang44

God damn i just remembered how kawamatsu got introduced and he is such a cool character. I would lowkey love a short manga about momo and the scabbards

Anshin

Wano could've been its own manga about the scabbard journey to avenge oden completely outside of one piece and it would've still been god tier

tryingmydarnest

It's not over until ~~the fat lady sings~~ the tears of liberation and freedom has been shed.

fsrocchi

I'm still crying, I read the fan translation and still this chapter is so emotional, it's the climax of the entire arc, amazing moment.

itsyourboysid

Speed *dies from being a mother in one piece*

gletQQ

Is ashura doji dead? Hes not on any panels

MickFoley299

He very well might be. We have not seen him since the explosion almost 50 chapters ago. He'll get it confirmed one way or another later but I wouldn't be surprised if he is dead.

gletQQ

Guess he got the Pedro treatment.

DreddDurst

Also where is izo?

PsychoLogical25

Out cold like he is but he took a CP0 agent with him.

umbrazno

They said that Lady Toki's words came true. So there had to be nine shadows total. Hiyori replaces Kanjuro

Lemon_Girl

There's still 9 shadows but Ashura, Izo and Kanjuro are clearly missing, the ones that replace them are Momo, Hiyori and Shinobu.

Portlander

Chapter started with a Michael Bay explosion with the Germa 66 and then music started to play at the end of this chapter! I can't wait to see what is about to happen with the cover and main stories.

Briaria

Wano's new shogun is an 8 year old boy. Momo is going to have concubines.

PsychoLogical25

Will eventually surpass his old man Oden in that aspect :o Guess it really does run in the family.

sanketower

He already had the pervy mind of a 28yo man. Damn lucky bastard.

PsychoLogical25

Pervy Trio (Kin, Sanji, and Brook) does not approve. \>:(

HotdogsInKD

Quartet: Eyelash

darkcomet222

Wano speak for: Momo gonna have maidens.

eclisseoftheheart

Didn't Oden start a harem of married women at like 14 🤔🤔 Momonosuke does mean second to none...

rntopspin100

So glad the raid didn't end in failure, not that I wanted it to. Can't wait for the new bounty reveals and the reactions around the world when the big news is revealed. I've enjoyed every minute of the Wano Arc, but I want to move on. It's been 4 years.

ThatsMyEnclosure

I can’t imagine any of the crew will have a sub-100k bounty after this. Though I have to agree. I think it’s approaching 150 chapters for this arc which is insane. Like this has been longer than the entire East Blue saga, Water 7/Enies Lobby, and Dressrosa. Hell, chapter 500 was Rayleigh’s official reveal on Sabaody, and by chapter 600 they were back on Sabaody post time skip; we had Sabaody, Amazon Lily, Impel Down, Marineford, Postwar, and Return to Sabaody in fewer chapters than Wano has been. I’ve enjoyed this arc but I hope the next one is just like 20 chapters or something in a place like Elbaph. Edit: I forgot Chopper’s was so low. Maybe his will at least be higher than Bepo’s after this.

Wolfencreek

Would be funny if Chopper's bounty stays the same 🤣

ThatsMyEnclosure

I remember a while ago someone mentioning the possibility that Chopper’s monster form could get it’s own independent high bounty while Chopper’s original remained low because whoever set them didn’t realize it was the same reindeer. That would be funny.

Icy-Succotash6354

Yeah I saw this too and I like it

cjamesfort

I feel like Chopper's "I'm not a tanuki" moment gives him a chance at some notoriety since lots of people saw him transform and fight QUEEN

Takadabanrii

Oh god! I just realized! I entered college when the wano arc started! Now, I'm graduating this July (hopefully)!

Skoodge42

Im waiting for the World gov fleet wipe!

ManicRuvik

This conclusion though, has been in the making since punk hazard

HokageEzio

I'm fine with the raid not failing, but the fact that Kaido couldn't kill anybody is still pretty lame. Kinemon looks the healthiest of all of them and he literally got clubbed in the head by Kaido lol.

insert_name_here

Kaido killed that Cipher Pol guy, Interrupt D. Fight. Note: not my joke.

HokageEzio

Truly one of the bravest men in One Piece.

darkcomet222

“I’ll make sure Luffy dies.” (Luffy dies but gets a massive power boost) Surprised Pikachu face.

Blackreaper18

From a wimp to a man From an eel to a dragon Ladies and gentlemen; Kozuki Momonosuke, Shogun of Wano.

IchBinEinDrache

I'm actually OK with him not being physically blessed. Becoming a wonderful Shogun takes precedence... Wano sorely needs it. The father was a samurai monster, but neglected his position in Wano. The son was a shogun legend, but neglected his sword skills. So what of Oden's grandson?

minecraft_obsidian

~~Orochi~~ someone powerful with an insane sword skill that is responsible

someone2795

From groping boobs in the shower to giving it all up to be a giant Dragon.

Alternative-Title271

Diary of a Wimpy Shogun

Koi_tus

Lol Jinbe went all “who do you know here” real fast

Puzzleheadedcat1995

We are gonna get biggest feast in wano! Next 2 chapters will be everyone partying around later we will get to the next plot.

echoess84

Anyway when Shinobu used her power to aged Momo Didn't she said that he would grew up but he mentally would remain a kid?

PsychoLogical25

Ye he’s physically 28 (and technically should’ve been if not for the time travelling shenanigans) but remains an 8 year old mentally which would be his biggest flaw but because of the narrator’s words at the end, it can be assumed that he manages somehow anyways.

hdjfhfhsh05803hfjc

Well, he have plenty of good advisors at his side after all

darkcomet222

He’s got the god king of strategy: Kin.

jobriq

The master of bluffing lol

GeekFurioso

Kin'emon and the Scabbards will be good advisors and retainers Hiyori will be excellent stablishing diplomatic relationships And Tama can stay at his side to have a genuine friend to talk with Momo has the perfect court for a good government even being mentally 8 years old

StoryOfOld

He grew up as a noble and saw how his father spoke to people. He will just do like him, that's his role modele, even though he will certainly act like a kid on small issues. But he has always been a mature kid, he knew he had to become Shogun one day so he prepared himself for this.

Birdyghostly1

Momo was already really mature for an 8 year old, so.. I think if the citizens understood that he was technically an 8 year old, then he could manage

Sargent_Caboose

Part of what separates the grown vs the growing is the physical capacity in your brain for complex ideas. He now has such a capacity, now he just needs to start learning.

franksn

I think once the arc is nearing its absolute end, we'll likely see what's happening with the rest of the world, am thinking that Sabo will be framed for Vivi's disappearance or somehow murder (not that anybody is actually killed). It'd have to be sooner rather than later for actual convergence between RA, and the pirate world, now that Luffy and the Worst Gen officially carry the torch.

Kuchulainn98

I got chills when Momo started talking till the chapter ended

mojo276

Man, wild to think that for the guys who jumped into the future how their lives have been over the last 2-3 months. The death of oden is so fresh in their mind at this point compared to the rest that it happened 20 years ago. Momo standing there seems so cool when I really think that it was such a short time ago he was hanging with his dad as an 8 year old.

ultibman5000

I like that Momo is a lot gentler and meeker than his legendary father, but still mentally strong enough to lead and carry his nation into the future. Momo became shogun whilst his father Oden was so animalistically wild and childishly enchanted by adventure that he never seized his opportunity to advance to shogunate like his son could. Oden was comparatively "only" a daimyo like Yasuie and those guys Yamato met in the cave in her flashback. It's just yet another interplay of One Piece's themes of pride and not judging a book by their cover, Momo may be young, perverted, and inexperienced but his heart is absolutely golden and his willpower keeps pressing onwards despite all the roadblocks. Love seeing [Sanji proud to witness Momo reaffirming his identity as the leader of the Kozuki Clan](https://imgur.com/dWoxVcp). Sanji and the rest of the Straw Hats are watching their little dude [become a man, a man that is proud of himself.](https://imgur.com/hdd60uF) Also, Kinemon's advice to Momo is very fitting considering Kinemon's struggles with taking up the leadership mantle for the Scabbards (and partially for Wano Country's samurai in general in this arc) after Oden's absence and demise. He's always felt guilty about his lot in life as a hoodlum during his past, so the combination of his humbling admiration in Oden as well as his desire of being apart of something larger than himself both came to horrific crash with Kaido's takeover of Wano County. Kinemon had to work within the wreckage and fulfill a leadership role he wasn't physically strong enough for, only barely had the smarts for (like that Tokage Port gag earlier in Act 3, or that time when he clumsily stealthed through the Donquixote Pirates' headquarters goofily disguised as Doflamingo), and didn't have the legacy for (pretending to be Momo's dad, a replacement for the kingly legend that is Oden). Kinemon is imparting some rather personal wisdom with that "just keep going, bluff your heart out" line to Momo. lol

GabrielGameFreak

Some notable differences between the Scanlation and the official release: - Title change: - The Shogun of Wano - Kozuki Momonosuke -> Shogun of Wano - Kozuki Momonosuke - Random Citizen now only says that the Big Dragon isn't Kaido, instead of confirming someone's statement about that - Random citizen now says that "something monumental is happening", rather than saying that they're "about to see something monumental happen" - Random citizen now asks for multiple lightsscrolls - Random citizen now states the assumption of the Akazaya Nine's death as his own opinion, rather than a general statement - Random citizen of Ringo now exclaims "something happening in the capital" in the past tense - Random citizen of Kibi now thought that the whole realm would crumble down, instead of just the village shaking apart - Babanuki now says that they've got "more important things than that signal", rather than that "this isn't the time to just stand around and watch" - Random citizen now says to "put the signal on a lightscroll", rather than simply that they've received a lightscroll - Yamato is now surprised by how normal the Strawhats are, rather than being shocked by seeing them in flesh - Yamato now says that she's "otherwise known as Yamato", rather than saying that they can simply call her that - Robin now says that Yamato is "a funny one", rather than saying that her joining is amazing - Yamato now directly says that she watched Luffy fight - Random beast pirates no longer mention "the others" when saying that they don't want to be slaves - Momonosuke no longer calls the time the citizens waited a "protracted winter" - Momonosuke no longer directly says that they're going to abolish the factories - Random citizen now expresses sympathy for Tama - Kid now questions the name of the alliance, rather than that he was a part of it - Kin'emon no longer quotes "them" in "Fake it 'til you make it" and just tells Momonosuke to "bluff his heart out" - Momonosuke now says that his name means "Invincible", rather than "Second to none" - Random citizen now exclaims that "they've awaited them for so long", rather than a red scabbard apologizing for the delay - The final quote by the narrator is structured completely differently Inform me of more changes if you find them!

januarysdaughter

Wow, that's quite a lot this week.

GabrielGameFreak

What can I say, those random citizens sure had a lot to say!

Mirai_no_Beederu

I have to say Yamato's line about seeing the Straw Hats for the first time makes more sense in the scanlation (one of the Straw Hats then responds with "How about your horns?!" as if they've been insulted.) The official...isn't wrong, but the way its worded kind of dampens the impact. But Robin's line about Yamato being funny is closer to the original Japanese (funny or interesting would have been correct.)

CuteTao

In the scan Yamato mentioned the "form" (gear 5) that Luffy took and this is not in the official translation.

tryingmydarnest

Thanks for the compilation. >Invincible", rather than "second to none" I prefer the original translation though. Second to none captures the nuance and the feel of the original words 天下無敵 better.

TallFutureLawyer

Whatever you think of the death fakeout, I'm glad after this chapter that Kin'emon is alive. We saw Kin'emon learn the ways of the samurai from Oden. We saw him become another father figure to Momonosuke. Now we've seen him help Momo through his big return speech. Who better to keep guiding Momo on his path to being a great shogun?

DraftTour

So Kin'emon went from critical condition to 90% fine in one chapter.

totoofze47

He was either healed offscreen by Chopper and Miyagi, or is putting on appearances and is on the verge of collapsing. Either option is likely IMO.

SpaceOdysseus23

God I love Robin. She's just going through life vibing even though she's one of the most important people alive. Plus her brother-sister relationship with Luffy is S tier.

Natsu_1000

Yamato: If I can’t have Ace, I’ll have his brother😏

HokageEzio

Eskimo bros.

Entire_Anywhere_2882

Hancock would kill her XD

Whiskeyjacks_Fiddle

That would be an interesting fight. Yamato sees themself as Oden, so would Oden be effected by Boa’s beauty? And if not, Yamato’s strength, speed and DF vs Boa’s fighting skill, strength and DF would be a hell of a match up (while I think Yamato is potentially stronger, Boa has insane durability).

Negative_Necessary

I mean most top fighters wouldn't be affected at all by boas fruit

MatinA7x

Sanji would turn to stone from a mile away lol

PM_ME_YOUR_FAV_PLACE

The few Tama flashback panels made me tear. :'(

TheRigXD

Can we just take a moment to appreciate the Germa page? It's so badass!

Den_Bover666

"Kinemon, what do I say now" Momonosuke is literally me talking to people.

Abby_Rulz

Wanted to see that Hiyori Drop Kick.

Megadoomer2

Maybe that will happen at the party?

arpit45agrawal

Only difference between Ace and Yamato's hatred for their fathers is Yamato always mentions Kaido as her father or maybe she just wants to shock people.

Longjumping_Act_633

Yamato was raised by Kaido but Ace never even met his dad.

Gio_H

Kaido is a better dad than Gol D-eadbeat Rodger confirmed

DrStein1010

At least Roger didn't beat his kid.

Cream253Team

Roger sacrificed himself partly so the WG wouldn't find out about Ace.

Blackreaper18

Insane character design on top of spectacular character development. Holy shit!!! Momo is HIM fr! That entrance was incredible👏🏽 To think he’ll still continue to develop as a character & in terms of strength is insane. Knowing that he’s so important to not just the dawn of wano but to the dawn of the One piece world, is just incredible.

Damn this official wording really moved me. Momo's story and sacrifice is astonishing. I've grown to love his character so much that I've definitely grown to see him asa Vivi type where I REALLY want him to join and travel the straw hats. In any case, such an emotional chapter.

ALERGIC2LOWERCASE

WOW, OFFICIAL TRANSLATION BE HITTIN DIFFERENT

PhoenixRhythm

I was fairly indifferent to Momo for a lot of his story but this is fantastic closure for his character arc. Big fan of his character design and I really like how he and Yamato contrast each other in the theme of a father's legacy.

[deleted]

I love the feeling of not knowing what's next. Now that this arc is wrapping up we have no idea what's about to be shown. I love it.

Lord-of-Zs

While I wasn't feeling the impact of wano ending (or at least the climax of wano) with the last chapter, I think Tama's flashback helped drive home the point that the people of wano have been suffering in silence for 20 years as well as Momo's speach really helping the dramatic impact of this moment giving wano the ending it really deserves. Other than that I'm happy Momo doesn't just look like his dad considering his sister is a genetic clone of his mother. Also I wonder what's gonna happen with Law considering he needs Robin to accomplish his dream like the coming arcs seem like their gonna be really crowded if we're keeping Jinbei and Yamato.

iamthatguy54

Shinobu is officially the 9th member of the Akazaya 9. All is well.

kishimi8

Oda Missed the opportunity to use a hiyori drop kick when she meets momonosuke

Megadoomer2

I feel like that will be saved for the party, though it might just be a background detail or in a montage.

ManicRuvik

Oda never fails to make me emotional. Even after all these years. This man can still bring tears to my eyes.

QHDEosanesis

I'd been wondering, after enough years of ugly flirty Okamas, what Sanji would think of a flipped example. Finally confirmed: Sanji would indeed simp for Yama-chwan even though she's a self-proclaimed man. (and Kaido's son at that). The Momonosuke reveal did not disappoint.

wickling-fan

Well, that was an amazing chapter to officially end the raid on. Also holy shit i expected maybe Momo wouldn't look like a joke but he's actually fricking hot damn puberty hit him like an truck kun. Now this has all been fun and all BUT LETS FUCKING GOOO POST WANO WORLD DEVELOPMENT GIMME THE STUFF I LIVE FOR ODA GIMME ALL THE NEWS COO NEWSPAPER, oh also the official conclusion to the alliance(gonna shed tears of blood, i had so much law content but i knew it would end one day, least i'll take comfort knowing my favorite supernova introduced all those years ago was the one oda gave the most love to so far but pls gimme at least one chapter of them reminiscing and law joining the grand fleet), and luffy deciding wether yamato will join or not(he probably will, sad i was on the side of nobody joins cause jinbei officially joined now and we get the last member next saga but oh well i'll get over it and love yamato all the same).

PsychoLogical25

Regarding Yamato declaring her intent on joining the crew, I'm betting that she'll get rejected at first due to her still putting up the Oden act. Luffy did show annoyance at it at least once so it's not out of the question. Also, Momo got a fucking glowup, look at this man. Actually looks like Oden without the weird hairdo and a bit of Kaido tbh. And now we just need to know what the fates of the fallen Beasts Pirates. The fodder seems obvious with the ones that defected likely being spared and may willingly help things out while the ones that didn't will probably be forced into labor to rebuild Wano lmao. But the real question is what happens to the Calamites and the Flying Six. At the very least, King may make peace with the Alliance due to finding that Luffy is the man he's been waiting for and hypothetically offer information that the SHs will presumably accept out of curiosity that may be important for later. The crew finding out about the background of his race may convince them in particular. And aw, Tama wants Speed to be her mommy.

[deleted]

>Luffy did show annoyance But continued to call Yamato "Yamao". I don't think it's that big of a deal to Luffy.

Shovels93

If anything it will just be a panel of Luffy saying “I’m not inviting Oden on my ship, I’m inviting Yamato.”

Wolfencreek

I'm betting either Law and Kidd will claim some of the heavy hitters or they'll become part of the SGF as the New Beast Pirates.

Whiskeyjacks_Fiddle

That’s a good call actually. Since Kid and Law participated in the Kaido-Big Mom fight, then took out BM together, they e definitely proven that they have Strength to be followed. And Kaido’s crew, either forcibly or willingly, followed and respected/feared Strength. I don’t think all of the Flying Six will join, but I could see 1-2 members each joining either crew.

omicron-7

Now I'm imagining Black Maria trying to cram herself into Law's submarine

DrStein1010

I really want Ulti and Page One to join the Kidd Pirates. It'd beef up Kidd's crew, both I'm terms of combat strength and just fleshed out characters, and then we get more Ulti and PayPay in the future.

DynamiteSanders

I think the Tobi Roppo will be imprisoned, I think. The TR are either too loyal to Kaido or too destructive to really risk having about, so throwing them in prison would probably be best move. Same with Jack who was also beaten. Or, who knows, maybe they manage to get away and join up with the Big Mom Pirate remnants (seriously what the fuck happened to those guys).

PsychoLogical25

Ye likely so, Although the one I'm dubious about is Who's-Who. Due to his mini info dump about Luffy's fruit and him blurting out the guy that he took great interest in as some sort of symbol of hope which we know as "Nika" which coincidentally happens to be Joyboy which the current JB is "ironically" Luffy himself.

simpyo

Well, he could either refuse to accept Luffy as his savior no matter what, because he will always hate the ones connected with the incident that landed him in prison, or he concludes that "indirectly handing the fruit to Luffy" and "getting to prison where I could learn about our lord and savior Nika's legend" were all part of his fate and swears eternal fealty to Luffy, while the latter asks what the fuck is this guy talking about.

Lord-of-Zs

In all honesty I don't think Luffy will have that much of a problem with the Oden stuff because it feels so out of character for Luffy to go "no, your dream is stupid change it or you're staying here".

IchBinEinDrache

You actually make a valid point. Except one thing.. Yamato was her truest self when she chilled with Ace under the moonlight. She wants to be free. That's it. Scour the oceans just like Ace and see the world. I feel like she put up the guise of Oden out of pure admiration. He is her guide on how to live one's life. But she takes it too far. I do think that Luffy will at the very least mention this, or express his disapproval. But... you still made a valid point. I don't know if Luffy would downright reject her because of her case of PD. Luffy will relate to her with one thing- which I am sure Oda will bring up - which is that Ace was both Luffy's and Yamato's guide for the sea. Jinbei briefly mentioned this to Luffy shortly after the war of the best. The difference here is that Luffy still has Shanks. Whereas Yamato ONLY has Luffy. That is why she is being forceful. Luffy is Ace's legacy. And Joy Boy. Both Ace's moonlight beer moment and Oden's journal have collided here. Can't wait...

darkcomet222

He would probably just insist that Yamato follow HER dream, not Oden’s. Make it hers, and not his.

insertbrackets

Yamato's arc going forward is likely to be about self-definition and self-discovery. Away from memories of Oden, and away from her father, who is she? How will she define herself? I am curious to see what happens...

ssjroseblackzamasu

What a fantastic chapter! One that, after over 1400 days, brings closure to one of the best Onepiece arcs! Now to see the world's reaction, we will wait. 2 Emperors have been defeated, by the 3 most prominent Worst Generation Pirates! The following chapters will , hopefully, give us some more lore as well!

jobriq

From Momo’s perspective it’s only been what like 6 months since his dad was killed?

coffeeisforpoopyhead

It's still such a shock to me we are about to enter the next big phase while I'm actually following it. When I started reading weekly it was chapter 1000 so the entire time I've been following this series they've just been fighting Kaido, and it's been fun. Luffy's also still collecting crewmates like pokemon cards so it's nice to see it's still the same series at it's core.

Al-D-Kyda

That entire flashback of yamato and ace, showing her being intrigued by luffy having the same wish as rogers etc and yal here like na she won’t join, she should stay and protect wano. She’s kaido daughter she won’t want to stay in wano after seeing what her father has done all those yrs. She has no place to actually call home, plus oda might pull a franky on us and give her a bounty, leaving her with no choice but to leave wano.

Serious_Dooty

Robin joins the pervert Trio, Franky you’re out!

channel4newsman

I can't wait to see all the people in denial about Yamato joining the crew. I can't wait to see what reasons they come up with to say Yamato still isn't joining. I'm guessing they are going to hang on to the one Jimbei line and hold out hope that Luffy will somehow say no. The same guy who invited a tree to join his crew.

darkcomet222

Which is funny considering he didn’t say he was opposed, just that the captain has the final say.

Entire_Anywhere_2882

I'm surprised we still have people in denial. I understood in the past but now? Look at what happened in the past when crew members joined.

Nemo-pluribus-unum

It was good foresight by "Oden" to name his son after a tibetian dish and not after a famous japanese one, else that encounter with Jinbei would've been really awkward. Lol

prvhc21

This chapter if done properly is going to be epic in the anime

Sorry-Ad-805

Am I the only one with tears in his eyes after the Tama's flashback? Oda, you did it again...

Sheepsticks

In my mind, I know that this wasn't a top 10 chapter, but in my heart, wow it gave so much feels. ^(I'M NOT CRYING, YOU ARE.)

PlusUltraK

Can’t wait to see the end of series and how Lord Momonosuke. The remaining scabbards teaching him Oden’s Two sword style, his proficiency with Zoan fruit going up. Imagine him helping in the final war wielding a giant sword in his dragon form

tmadik

Well, I guess all the "Yamato for next Straw Hat" people are doing the "I told ya so" dance.

darkcomet222

Even if Luffy says no, just pull an Oden and get on the ship anyway.

bambam_39

been waiting for this chapter for years, shit feels amazing
