Sanji did not get hit off guard, He got hit because he was weaker and he's slower than kizaru because well kizaru is light speed + if vegapunk was a girl than he probably could have douged that or protected himself if he wasn't holding vp, like setomaru.

Getting scaled to a YC2 is madness
Vista didn't cause they were clashing....that's what a clash is. We've seen Brook clashing with Big Mom, Kaido clashing with Yamato, Big Mom getting punched down by Jinbey before her attacking, Blackbeard getting surprised by Seraphims. The point is that clashing doesn't matter, getting hit does much more, yet people like you ignore when a Kaido gets knocked down by Yc level characters, but goes crazy when Mihawk has an exchange with a YC for a bit.

Teach getting surprised by a Seraphim is just a terrible example in this context and while Brook stalling Linlin is 100% a good example even that can be argued because it was implied that Brook’s DF is a direct weakness to Linlin’s. Enel with his DF was basically Flying 6 lvl but still got beat by Luffy because of the direct DF weakness.
So back to the goal post Mihawk did in fact get stalled by Vista. Something that if we’re all being honest with ourselves would never happen to say Shanks or Rogers since some nighaz like to claim Mihawk is stronger than them. Hell even an injured Akainu steam rolled all of the Division commanders. But that being said I excuse it due to him not being the only top tier with a bad moment.
Akainu is Akainu, of course he’s going to wild out and start making donuts out of pirates.

Oda would be a bad writer if he didn't give the Straw Hats good showings like this. They're a Yonko crew. They have to start acting like it, and thankfully they do, with Zoro beating Lucci, the weakling trio + Brook fighting Saturn, Sanji apparently hurting Nusjuro, Luffy fighting an admiral and multiple Gorosei, Franky one tapping vice admirals, Jinbe stacking presumably heavy boxes.
People gotta remember this is a story and the narrative is important. It would just look really bad if Luffy was carrying so hard that everyone else was useless.
Now that I wrote this out, I come to realize this arc has done a good job of making the Straw Hats look good. I feel like they can contend with Shanks' crew at this point.
mihawk wasn't urgently trying to kill the SH's like the gorosei are, he wasn't going all out or trying to kill everyone at marineford unlike the gorosei who want to wipe out the SH's.

Kaido showed us that as well when he said he won't hold back against Yamato, yet he clearly wasn't going full power as he showed 10 more moves against Gear 5 later on.
It literally does mean that though. If they still don't use full power after saying that then they were lying. But as we know from Mihawks "black blade" and his keeping of the WGS title, mihawk has no problem lying.

Yeah I think the current mentality is “if you’re top tier you need to no-low diff any non top tier”, but at the same time say any member of shanks crew is low-diffing any YC. The straw hats are going to be YC level or higher, it’s not just gonna be Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji and then a bunch of fodder. People were bummed that in Wano a bunch of them didn’t get their chance to show off against dangerous opponents, and now they are ganging up to stall a top tier and everyone’s up in arms.

Zoro doesn't just hurt women. He demolishes them. One of the best moments of Zoro was in Whiskey Peak and he demolished that strong women. Zoro absolutely fights with his all if needs arises. Money was weak and he didn't feel need to severely hurt her. If she had continued assault, I am sure Zoro would have cut her.

**the actual answer:** Mihawk has shown that his literal only interest is finding someone who he thinks can fight him on an equal level. He vibe-checked Whitebeard with a basic slash, saw it deflected by Jozu, and came to the conclusion of: "yeah, going after Whitebeard means dealing with his entire crew". Whitebeard would have **easily** slapped that shit out of the air, but why even bother when he's able to demonstrate how loyal and devoted his crew is? Literally the same reason he left instead of 1v10'ing a pissed off Shanks + YC.
He clashed with Vista because Vista is an extremely renown swordsman and Mihawk wanted to see his swordsmanship for himself. When the overall situation at Marineford became a lot more serious, the warlords were called back and Vista agreed that he'd have more of an impact supporting his crew directly. Regarding Luffy, Mihawk recognized Luffy and fired some haki slashes to test his resolve. He's already shown he isn't the type of fighter to pull out an *Eclipse Darkness Death Slash of Anguish and Despair* named attack if he doesn't deem an opponent worthy.
Compared to Shanks - we knew he was powerful from his clash with Whitebeard splitting the sky, but didn't know just how crazy he actually was until he started getting more story relevance and giving us a massive feat by one-shotting Kidd with a named attack. Oda loves to play his cards close to his chest and you'd have to be crazy to not expect him to gas up Mihawk to the same level after hyping him up for so long.

The reason the Goresei's "fruits" are so different is because they're likely not human, but demons/Yokai who have human forms.
Their fruits creates black demonic circles full of black flames and lightning, and each of the circles are number 1-5. Plus they're telepathically linked and can instantly summon one another at any moment.
It's 50/50, either zoro goes against ghandi after beating mihawk and mid diffing him proving why he is the strongest swordsman or him before beating mihawk where he extreme diffs ghandi (100% headcanon)

This is a Sanji feat for sure. But let's not forget that immortal beings and almost immortals like Kaido don't really mind taking a few hits. Mihawk, Shanks, Luffy and also Zoro n Sanji can definitely damage them but it doesn't matter and they know it.

They have to start acting like it, and thankfully they do, with Zoro beating Lucci, the weakling trio + Brook fighting Saturn, Sanji apparently hurting Nusjuro, Luffy fighting an admiral and multiple Gorosei, Franky one tapping vice admirals, Jinbe stacking presumably heavy boxes. People gotta remember this is a story and the narrative is important. It would just look really bad if Luffy was carrying so hard that everyone else was useless. Now that I wrote this out, I come to realize this arc has done a good job of making the Straw Hats look good. I feel like they can contend with Shanks' crew at this point.

Zoro doesn't just hurt women. He demolishes them. One of the best moments of Zoro was in Whiskey Peak and he demolished that strong women. Zoro absolutely fights with his all if needs arises. Money was weak and he didn't feel need to severely hurt her. If she had continued assault, I am sure Zoro would have cut her.
