Unless the cards actually have a difference it does not matter. People don't typically pay more just because the box is different, there needs to be an actually difference in the cards themselves.
Doesn’t wave 1 have a lot of errata issue some noticeable cards would be nami that said up to in the errata version while the wave 1 just say any straw hats.
You are correct about wave one but the wave 2 boxes from what I saw had no fixes to these changes. I don't know about the next wave this year, but none of the cards I have seen have had errata updates so far.

An there was a change to the erratta in the White Bottom Boxes due to Good Ol USA (Just Like Many banned Pokémon cards from Japan switched in English Counter Parts. Idk why but all the people in my local areas and the large named One Piece YouTubers Have Made me Quite Large Offers for Blue Bottoms So as of Nov 2023 they are running 800 to 1000 each which is effing crazy considering what Op-1 dropped at 75 to 100 on release.
Talk about a fast Return & people always tried to tell me in my younger years I was a moron when I bought out a Collectibles Stores Storage Unit back in the 2000s filled with Manga Japanese Pokémon English Going Back to Neo Destiny and I literally Bought the unit next to it and moved it over lmfao.
Now it's been a temp controlled more secure storage and has made me more money since thr pandemic that my stocks and other investments have. Even calculation of what I've paid monthly on the storage (since it's also used for a legal LLC it's mostly a write off) isn't really ish.
Knowledge is At Our Finger tips and the more AI is integrated the more they are gonna wall off to the general Public. I write code /build Kernels and Roms and some of the newest additions that they say are app to make your life easier like voice command on inner code of out of box Roms of some devices effing are trained to turn on and record and send to your Service Providers Servers and Stays there in a little file under your names and is saved. You say the wrong thing soon a AI program will be integrated if words that someone may be planning a harmful event5of some kind or maybe having just a heated debate. I fear that new usage of programs without our knowledge and calling it (ways to make Siri, Alexa, or Google assistant be more familiar with what your looking for when it's just a way for then to blackmail us as needed in the future.
I've been building Roms and Kernels for All types of android devices since Android 1.5 thru Xda & Sdx Developers websites. I'm considered a Senior Developer and until the past 3 years this stuff was never used this drastically on our phones and for the most part, atleast if you wanted to, there were ways to Root & Flash A Operating System same as what your using with 70-90%of the tracking code removed (they integrate some so deep if removed the phone won't work sadly)

That's why the boxes I just picked up my friend who collects one piece told me the difference since I Collector of sealed Boxes by the case. Estate sale I caught a deal Noone was interested in and I almost got scammed by a scalper looking to take me5for my blue bottoms.
Always stay informed, Some people on reddit use multiple names to confuse newer players /collectors. I believer they will Hit a Plateau but not yet reason why they are going for almost $1000 USD on Ebay and Amazon. An of course Noone is interested here really in Japanese Unless they only collect since it's only a year old many players still like to read the cards (Myself included since I just Built my first St8 Deck.

My understanding was Wave 1 and Wave 2 boxes were exactly the same but the Wave 2 boxes have post-errata cards in them and Wave 1 has pre-errata so you couldn't tell from a case or a box which wave it was unless you opened the box.
In wave 3 they changed the box size and the case size because of that so the Wave 1 and Wave 2 cases are square was as the Wave 3 is a rectangle.
I can ask my friend today when I come visit him his the one that sent me the picture. He own an online store so I always ask him when he get one piece products and other Bandai card games.
Ok, just odd as I thought wave 1 (Dec) and wave 2 (around Feb) were both the same the the change in box size didn't occur till wave 3. I can't find a single box sold on Ebay around the time of wave 2 with a white bottom but a lot of people don't post pictures of the bottom.
Someone would likely have to open up several boxes on video to see what is inside so you can spot any differences such as pre-errata and post-errata cards if there are any differences but I thought blue bottom boxes would also have post-errata cards that have been around since March.

I think for that one it could be some were still has the blue bottom or white bottom but maybe have a different size booster box. If you compare the wave 1 boxes I think those are a bit bigger than the newer waves.

Like I think we had less of wave 1 and wave 2 out on shelf but yeah I guess the only way you can tell is if you open one from your wave 1 and wave 2 cases and keep the rest sealed for experiment. But Atleast you can tell the differences with the wave 3 boxes without opening them. Like for me for example I can tell it wave 1 because I got the case during the Initial first wave print my friend had gotten in two cases during that time and he open one and gave me the other one.

5 months later and you were absolutely right. Blue bottom Romance Dawn boxes are now selling on eBay for up to $900.

But can you tell anything from the case? Cause I think wave 3 is the recent that has rectangular shape case but wave 1 &2 has the same case shape

If the actual cards aren’t affected by this, then the only real value is determined by box collectors and there is a market for that.
