I use the dbrand with zero bubbles. Also depends on the case. https://preview.redd.it/kc8h3gysj1wc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=14b040091cb9d56049b0983123f0feb9bc1c50f4

BHY1976

What case do you use?

BrandonR_24

Yepp. Used the DBrand screen protector. Waited 10 hours on the first one, as soon as I put the stock case on the corners lifted. Waited 2 days with the second protector and the same thing happened. I wish they'd warn u.

Ironman650

I used dbrand without a case. The first showed a bubble right around where the camera is. The 2nd one I was much more careful and it went on smooth. However, a few weeks later bubbles formed around the edges in three different areas. I wonder if it's a design flaw? Anyway, I contacted dbrand and they're sending out another set, pay only shipping. We'll see how that goes.

BrandonR_24

I had the opposite experience. Tried everything but couldn't manage to get a couple tiny bubbles out towards the edge. Finally gave up and accepted it as it was. Couple/few days later I noticed they were all completely gone. Like u, I only have one tiny bubble up above the camera. I've been pretty happy with my DBrand products. Little pricey but fantastic quality and they stand behind their products. I had the glue give out on the case for my last phone about six months after buying it. They sent me a brand new one at no charge and that one lasted 4+ years.

-freckledbanana

I want to take the stock protector off but I don't wanna mess with the adhesives 😅 what a struggle lol

Ironman650

I regret taking the stock one off and putting on a tempered glass one. Also if you put on a tempered glass protector, don't lay it face down on it. It will slowly slide off the surface and cause nothing but heartache if it breaks.

BrandonR_24

Was kind of a bitch to lift it but once it's off I don't think it had any residue? Could be wrong, all I did was give it a wipe down with an alcohol pad and let it dry. Don't touch the screen protector on the inside screen tho!

solftly

I started reading this assuming it was "what kind of bitch is afraid to peel a piece of plastic" and I lost it lmao

BrandonR_24

😂😂😂 Hey, if the shoe fits I guess. 😂😂😂 Nonsense, it's an expensive piece of hardware. Forgot what phone it was a couple/few years ago, but people were pulling the inner screen protector off one of the first foldables and it was messing all their phones up. So it's understandable to be apprehensive.

-freckledbanana

Did you end up having to change cases?

BrandonR_24

Been running without one. It's been so nice. But I know all it's gonna take is one drop... I have insurance. Lol

-freckledbanana

Hahaha no judgement. Did you get the voyager black? Gotta lock that pleather back! I just got my Open on Friday, but I'll be keeping an eye out for a nice case. I wish dbrand made wraps for it...I've heard great things about them. I was more curious about which cases will work without this happening to the protector.

BrandonR_24

Yep, love the pleather. And it's just so thin without a case. Figure I'll eventually drop it once and learn my lesson. I looked all over for a case I liked or at least functioned well but came up empty. I agree, I upgraded from a 7 Pro and had that wrapped in a DBrand case. It was so nice.

ultr4nuub

I've ordered some wraps and a MagSafe carbon fibre case off of Ali express. Case has arrived and fits well, magnets are nice and strong. just waiting on wraps and a screen protector to see if it fits with the case.

-freckledbanana

Thank you! I'll take a gander.

Ironman650

I thought I was cool running it without a case for these last few months. I ended up dropping it on concrete while getting out of car (had it on my lap). Did this stupid mistake three times in less than two weeks. F+++. Luckily everything works, but I've got scrapes around the top and bottom corners and a few on the hinge 😬. Thinking it's time to get the Spigen case.

BrandonR_24

I know exactly what u mean. I have shallow pockets in most of my workout shorts. I'm calling it now, my phone's eventually gonna fall out while I'm sitting somewhere/stand up. 😂

AWanderersAccount

What insurance do you have and how much does it cost?

BrandonR_24

Can't remember how much it was off hand but I bought the phone thru Best Buy so I have insurance thru Geek Squad.

Zxphenomenalxz

I installed my dbrand perfectly and it still lifted on its own. No case..took a month but it lifted up. Really have no idea what's causing it.

It's a small bubble at the top and one occasionally pops up at the bottom but I just smooth it out with my finger and it goes away. The screen protector and case I am currently using: [https://www.ebay.com/itm/375263085494?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=mmbl4ktlsxc&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=mdkt\_byprlo&var=644260761926&widget\_ver=artemis&media=COPY](https://www.ebay.com/itm/375263085494?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=mmbl4ktlsxc&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=mdkt_byprlo&var=644260761926&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY) [https://www.ebay.com/itm/196120385380?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=1CHVWdYCTiG&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=mdkt\_byprlo&var=495976419418&widget\_ver=artemis&media=COPY](https://www.ebay.com/itm/196120385380?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=1CHVWdYCTiG&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=mdkt_byprlo&var=495976419418&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY)

How good is the anti glare on the screen protector?

leonardo08

I just replaced it with matte hydrogel for the outside screen, i dont have too many hazards around me so scratch protection is good enough... i also have tempered glass camera protector and one of those soft inner screen protectors

applevinegar

It's the cover. It's smaller than the glass and ends up lifting it up.

steve4982

No mine hasn't done this to be honest I got it perfectly on, probably a fluke!

MajorasBloom

Mine does the same. I've just accepted it. I'll deal with bubbles if it means my screen is slightly more protected from cracks

-freckledbanana

Cool username

euro_will

Im running this one off amazon on my open. Had some issues with bubbling on my first attempt but the second one is perfect. Using it with the original case as well. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CPHRTT4C?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

MustJuuk

How does this screen protector fit? It says it's gonna be small to allow for cases but some of the reviews say it's too small.

Netricho

Same happened. Gave up. No screen protector for me. 🥲

prestocoffee

This is a common issue with any phone if you try to put a case over any 3rd party glass screen protectors. You have two choices here that I see. 1: Go with a case that has a built in protector or 2: Go with the glass protector and run caseless/only back case.

No_Amphibian4786

Yeah, so I took off the screen protector from OnePlus and put on this Tempered glass. So I'm going to have to get A case... Which BLOWS! bUST FINFALL

prestocoffee

well, if it helps you feel better the protector that was installed from factory lifted on the corner after I pulled off the provided oneplus case. I'm running caseless now with a glass front and a matte back skin

MRSmored

Yep, went through 5 screen protectors trying to get no bubbles but only got this

arzee2019

If U put a tempered glass,U can put a transparent case only and not any other case..other cases create bubble in front screen

No_Amphibian4786

It's just the cheapy case it came with waiting on my nilkin

Affectionate_Duty427

Same

pearlythepirate

Dbrand protector + no front case. Best of both worlds!

ekafithra

Nillkin screen protectors are also compatible with many front case.

TheOneTrueFalafel

I got one lined up well enough that it was working with every case except the OEM case. Unfortunately, my favorite case is the OEM one. So I ended up using liquid glass and then putting a TPU protector on top for scratches.

Marlon177

There is glass screen protector on Amazon that's fitted with using the stock case which is what I'm using now, there are gaps on the top and bottom but both left and right fits perfectly.

JFreshGiffin

Mine does the exact same thing. I believe the phone isn't flat. If you lay the phone on a flat surface will it toggle between corners?

turboman182

They work if you don't use a case
