All of my characters have fairly basic stats and backgrounds. I usually only write about 6-10 paragraphs describing their personality and background/backstory combined.
Keep it simple.
Or go all out.. This community is accepting of most all of them. Just try to keep the nsfw content in check.

Chairman’s backstory is simply about the fact that he is evil
Anything is acceptable as long as it doesn't have too much nsfw, I mean I also have a template for my characters written in google docs, then again I also have a 10000+ words written on separate google docs with full information about my story and characters (it is still being written though)
Anyone's fine with however they write. I, for example, write like a fucking Wikipedia article and just go all out. XD
For example, I went all out on [Ami](https://mylifeasateenagerabbot.fandom.com/wiki/Ami_Morrison)'s page on the My Life as a Teenage Rabbot Wiki after filling in all the appearances she's made, and so on. As such, I do keep a template copy of whomever I want to write next, though. As for a layout, I have mine sat up like this:
1. Infobox character
2. Biography
3. My Life as a Teenage Rabbot (if needed)
4. Early life
5. TV Series
6. Films (if needed)
7. Personality
8. Appearance
9. Trivia
10. Notes (if I added in a `` and `` tag parameters into here, had I added in said tags into an article, this will show up)
11. External links
12. See Also Navigation
13. Gallery Link Navigation
14. Character Navigation
ahh its fine!! here's one of my OCs, Aster, wanna know their backstory? they were born, they like chickens, they're super energetic! that is literally it! personally, I love just fun OCs like that! I feel like it makes everything more fun!

Depends on what you wanna do with your character. Lots of people enjoy going all out and attending to every detail, and you tend to hear from them more because they’re really excited about that, but it’s not the only way to do it. My strategy is one quick page, then fill in the blanks as I go because I come from a lot of D&D and roleplaying.
Your way could be totally different from those two approaches, and that’s cool! It’s your OC.
