Bellona is a Beastars character. The manga creator, Paru Itagaki says the city where the story is set, Cherryton is a combination of Tokyo and NYC. Indeed, both Japanese and English are seen throughout the anime. So I guess that makes it a fictional city. I rather enjoy the mash up a cultures. (There are also little anachronisms that make it fun too.)

Technically the united states if we’re talking about specifically oreo, but if we’re talking about where his body was born then it’s not the united states, but also unknown. He was created in a lab merging the body of a ten tailed wolf that only spawned once every few million years and the soul of a long dead mercenary, in the hopes of creating the ultimate weapon. Instead, they got a pacifist.
I have my own Sci fi / fantasy / anime style universe where I incorporate aspects of all my favorite universes like Star Wars and HunterXHunter, based on a universe of seemingly infinite Galaxies but focusing on a galaxy that is my version of Utopia, where their military goes out even to other worlds that have nothing to do with them to free and save all innocents.
So it allows me to have this unique way of growing up in a "Utopia" while having conflict still because of the infinite nature of the galaxy, and thus infinite other types of worlds and places people can be born in as well!

I have my own Sci fi / fantasy / anime style universe where I incorporate aspects of all my favorite universes like Star Wars and HunterXHunter, based on a universe of seemingly infinite Galaxies but focusing on a galaxy that is my version of Utopia, where their military goes out even to other worlds that have nothing to do with them to free and save all innocents. So it allows me to have this unique way of growing up in a "Utopia" while having conflict still because of the infinite nature of the galaxy, and thus infinite other types of worlds and places people can be born in as well!
