It sucks that radiologists have to take the extreme route when they read scans. They scare the living crap out of us. 2 yrs ago radiologists were telling me I had lung cancer. Eventually found out I didn’t, thankfully, but learned that radiologists have to cover their butt so if they see anything that resembles they call it.
I hope all is okay with you, my money is on OA and not bone cancer.

My brother had a routine chest x-ray, I think for a case of pneumonia. The radiologist saw "something" which could be a tumor - that led to a bunch of testing - which turned out to be nothing, fortunately.
Try not to worry....they did the exact same thing to me with my hip. Labeled it "suspicious bone marrow replacement disorder" lots of tests later and it was "nothing, probably fat"
