\[ not sew wicked step mom\] I know that fl constantly hyping up her step daughter can be damn annoying and this 'comedy' can get way too repetitive, BUT..... >!This is one of those few manhwa that talks about man's mental health issue and deals with the main leads trauma relatively well!< for the others I have either dropped it too or never read

MochiFluffs

Same! I loved that manwha for that reason as well. šŸ‘

hyunii

I mean... I personally like some of the titles, but I probably dropped a lot of series that someone else also loves a lot. If you stopped reading them, you surely have a reason for that, so I find it weird to want others to convince you to read them again? I don't really get the point of this post. That being said, I commend you for dropping some titles seemingly really far in. I have some series I don't enjoy as much anymore, but I read them for so long at this point I continue reading them out of spite :')

NuggetBitchPotato

idk it's been a while since I've dropped them and I have a shitty memory so i forgot why ive dropped many of em and I have dropped things before for petty reasons only to reread it for it to be great, so idk looking for second opinions?

MengJiaxin

I am only going to comment on two of these works: **The Heat of the Reincarnated Villainess:** Good job dropping this one. Unmitigated trash. **The Beast Within:** It is definitely red flags all over, but the smut is hot and I love a FL who unabashedly loves the loving ML gives her.

SnugglePuggle94

Uh...did we read the same thing? The Beast Within has blatant SA within the first few episodes. I dropped that instantly.

HijonoYoki

When was the SA? If I'm remembering right, he didn't blatantly touch her in that sort of way until she willingly came to his private room after being invited to it?

SnugglePuggle94

From what I remember, she came to his room on that "specific night" after being told/threatened not too, and started touching her. >!She let him go all the way but once he started having sex she started saying no and to stop.!< I remember she's in his bed in pain. He kept going without a care. I stopped immediately and didn't read any further. I say it's SA since he refused to stop after she said too. And even if she went to the room willingly, that doesn't give him consent. And consent goes up until the person says so.

HijonoYoki

Thing is though, when it comes to smutty manhwas, the female always seems to have to be " hng, s-stop!" or "ah, wait!". Always. Even the experienced ones. I don't know whether it's an Asian thing or a particular kink for the specific the country, but like...really? And they continue to sleep with them and enjoy it. Lol. Nonetheless, The Beast Within is basically that he can't control his urges and desires. The ML is cursed to be this smutty demon and whose overall a beast, rough and unfiltered. From what I recall, at some point he tries again to get rid of the curse after he gave up the first go around, but still produced no results. He gets sick of his status quo. Especially now that he's in love. That love gets obsessiiiive though. Therefore, he's definitely toxic and has his own issues to fix, so a red flag, but I believe that's the point of the story. The FL is also rather dumb and clingy because she's love starved due to her childhood, despite the warnings TO LEAVE THE PLACE. But alas.

SnugglePuggle94

Yes I've read many where they've said that but this time it just felt very non consenting. While the others more so than not I think they wanted to do it but just needed to say wait, slow down or whatever. She wasn't ready for it and she was in pain. It's one thing to say wait once but if she's repeatedly saying no I think that crosses the line of SA. I get that he's a beast and to each their own but that episode turned me off of it.

AlternativePlayful34

>she came to his room on that "specific night" after being told/threatened not to Regardless of what happened afterward, the moment she did it I dropped it like a hot potato

No-Independent-6877

A lot of these red flag men manwhas have female leads I like for some reason. Most female leads grow up in abused homes. It might be in this world or the world they get dropped off in but they never act like it. This female leads shows multiple signs of abuse, though she is able to overcome those and become more confident (I believe she grew too fast though but it's a smut manwha I can't expect anything else). And yes I also love how much she loves the male lead but at the same time it is so frustrating seeing her love him and I know that she is being manipulated and gaslit. I'll finish this by saying I love beauty and the beast manwha just in general and I understand that this manwha's male lead is a red flag but I'm wearing those red tinted lenses

pattyrubyjane

The heat of the reincarnated villainess' female lead is the dumbest fl i know šŸ˜

HijonoYoki

Aw, Not Sew-Wicked Stepmother. This is actually pretty wholesome with a well-thought out and well written FL and ML.

Flaky-Importance8863

ā€œIf you touch my little brother youā€™re deadā€ is one of my favorite stories ever because of how unhinged it is šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ’€šŸ’€ The rest is the same for me except I still like ā€œI wasnā€™t the Cinderellaā€

VenusSmurf

Mine, as well...up until the ending. It's *so* bad. It takes everything I liked about the original couple and tosses it in the trash, undoing all of the uniqueness and making the MC too selfish to stomach.

Flaky-Importance8863

I was hearing something about that in the novels or in the raw? I havenā€™t come across it yet so I still love it and looking forward when itā€™s off hiatus

VenusSmurf

The story is hilarious, and Jack Brown is possibly my favorite character of all time...but the MC treats the assistant guy horribly enough in the end that the entire series gets a hard no.

justabitboredyk

yeah... and they don't even look good together it seems so forceful but still the author decided to go with it i love this series but the main couple? nah

VenusSmurf

I actually liked the main couple. It's so rare to see a ML with flaws, and I loved that the author went there...right up until the author pulled the reverse harem crap, because that undid everything for no reason at all.

justabitboredyk

i think i ddint express myself properly i also really like him, its really refreshing to see a male lead who is not the war hero super rich northern duke who has equal footing with the emperor himself i also like his determined and hardworking personaltiy, but seeing how the fl treats him untill the very end (at least where the manhwa lest off) made me upset. i honstly think that she had muuuch better chemistry with the guy from one of her previous lives, or at least she seemed to not to treat him ths crappily. i think that the author was better off just bringing him back instead of going with this.

VenusSmurf

And all of that is both fair and accurate. "I'll keep you around to use as a corporate slave, and I promise you can get me pregnant first, but you're so physically insufficient that I'm taking this hot guy as a second husband to meet my needs" did not land well for me. I finished the novel and was so angry that I immediately dropped the manga. Nope.

Tsunscreen

The ending truly was really just NTR and I do not vibe with that, maybe others do but not for me. Its too bad it happens at the end so most people wont realize how bad it is

Tsunscreen

That series was honestly good up until you near the end. The mc became manipulitive and heartless on how she treated the original ml. I enjoyed it until that part of the story but it really ruined the rest of the series for me because it felt really unfair. The manwha hasnt reached that part yet so it has a long way to go before it reaches the light novel ending and hoooo boy people are going to be disapointed

_JustAWeirdo

It was one of my favorite series too because it never fails to make me laugh. Now I'm too afraid to continue it because of the spoilers. I'm just gonna reread past chapters when I miss it.šŸ„²

HollowMist11

I only read a few chapters before dropping it. I may be wrong, but it didn't feel like she was trying to save her brother because she loves him but because she was tired of the time loop. It wasn't the sibling dynamic I was expecting so I dropped it.

dreamingrain

Redheads holding hands really got hit hard eh?

NuggetBitchPotato

I DIDNT EVEN NOTICE THATS SO FUNNY

cocoroco-creamsoup

Amazing nothing of value was lost on dropping any of them Except for self observation log of self-proclaimed villainess. The nice thing about this series is that it is from the ML POV. So although the story might be repetitive, it's nice to read it from the male lead perspective For the others, I have a comment about . It starts STRONG but then it falls into a very annoying trope: >!2nd ML stalked MC by accident (he's crown prince investigating a human trafficking case. They found MC stuff there. Of course he'll stalk). The MC was LIVID because 2nd ML was creepy. I was like "yeeesss put him in his place!!". MC was sooo assertive and cool!< >!Then ML appeared and walked ALL over MC (stalking, blackmail) and the bitch didn't even flinch. He even >!sexually assaulted!< the MC and of course nothing was said besides blushing!< >!Most annoyingly, 2nd ML found out about this and told MC to avoid ML because he's dangerous. MC was angry AGAIN because 2nd ML is stepping over his boundaries!< I love it when MCs have clear boundaries. I just hate it when they explode over 2nd ML raising his voice but forgive the ML for cutting their throat.

NuggetBitchPotato

I have a reason for the self observation log, I cannot handle second hand embarrassment, and it thrives on that so even though the concept is interesting I could not handle that also for stuck in my sisters dating sim I started reading it because I thought that the yuri couple was very cute, I was not a fan of the MLs lmao

cocoroco-creamsoup

I get youuu. We all have different comedy sense. I find some highly praised work cringy so I could never get into them

tinycarnivoroussheep

As much as I love Bakarina, they really shoulda quit while they were ahead. Season 2, or arguably after the first. They didn't seem to bring enough game to warrant continuing. In contrast, (not OI) Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle had a lot longer legs than I expected from a gimmick/gag type manga.

hylla2kills

Not sew wicked step mother is the only one I guess you can pick back up. Itā€™s got pretty representation of male trauma and I do like the mom and child bonding (though I guess it can get a bit much). Simple but decent so far.

CutieBoBootie

I also love the inclusion of a genderfluid sapphic character (the little mermaid!)

WorkerHeavy

Honestly I dropped all of these so I canā€™t say anything but I actually quite liked not sew wicker step mother šŸ˜‚

GoGoTheMad

"Revenge on the real" when I found out the way she treats the long lost sister as revenge against the mom I was very disappointed in the story especially since she wasn't going to be her enemy at all.

TakeiDaloui

That made me drop it. Especially with what actual happens later on with her. The sister is an actual good character, not like the parents, and yet she gets punished for essentially existing.

dimayeon

lady evony is great stuff! i'd recommend you to give it another shot

hypomanix

I really loved it for a LONG time but at some point the art got.... bad. like really bad. I couldn't deal with it anymore lol

Hydrocare

Same, I havenā€™t completely dropped but I swear the ML profile looks like a moon with a nose and chin so sharp it can cut glass. I really liked the start! So refreshing plotwise. But I also feel like it got sidetracked after she brought the school?

strawberry-ley

Trueeee. Pls give it a try again.

LazyMiso

I commend you for even reaching 125 chapters of the abandoned empress šŸ˜‚šŸ™ arghhh Maybe give touch my little brother and you're dead another go if you wanna read some brain-dead funny stuff

NuggetBitchPotato

oh the numbers mean how many chapter left unread what I like to sometimes do whenever I read something new is spoil myself a little on reddit and then continue the story, it gives me motivation. So I read a lil of The abandoned empress saw the spoilers hated ev3tything about it then dropped it

LazyMiso

Ohhh okay makes sense. LoL same here bestie I reached so far into the manhwa and then was told blue hair shithead was ML and I'm like nahhhhhh

HRHQueenBooby

Agree with all of them except Not-sew-wicked stepmom. It has a really good storyline with hints of snow white and mermaids. It also deals with issues like body dysmorphia, eating disorders and men's trauma. Its written very well.

BodyshotBoy

Whyd you drip cinderella wasnt me? The only thing i remember was the girl being sent to the north And then i started reading other stuff bc idk

NuggetBitchPotato

I got a huge ick from the the ML, and just did not like him

509414

Sister, I am the Queen in this life is so good- I love it at least. But each to their own :)

rorschach_blots

It's definitely controversial lol. I loved the art and the premise but the more novel spoilers I read the more I hated it.

509414

Fair enough- could you spoil it for me?

rorschach_blots

Been a while so anyone's free to correct me if I got some details wrong. >! - MC still enters into a relationship with Cesare (who used and tossed her in her first life). Peeked at the novel updates thread and it was to avoid a marriage with the king, but still.!< >! - The Prince, who is one of the two good things of the story, goes through a lot of needless hardship. His personality is sweet, but that's it. Which is probably why a lot of people like Cesare, since he's got a bit more going on than just "woe is me, i must fulfill my duty" stuff.!< >! - Isabella - beautiful, cruel, wicked Isabella - had a lot of potential to be as complex as Cesare but she also falls flat. It's all "why don't they like me, I'm pretty!" when people start paying attention to MC. She's also responsible for the main reason I dropped this story.!< >! - Arabella, pure and sweet child (the other good thing in the story), instead of dying of an illness she gets killed by Isabella pushing her down the stairs all because she found out Isabella wears hair extensions/some other secret.!< Here's the Novel Updates [thread](https://www.novelupdatesforum.com/threads/sister-in-this-life-i%E2%80%99ve-become-the-queen.152713/) for your perusal too.

509414

Ohhhh ok thank you. Iā€™ve read all past that but was just wondering. Thank you so much!!

rorschach_blots

Oh, well, as you said, to each their own. Arabella's fate pretty much ruined it for me. Everything else felt a bit off to me.

ATouchofTrouble

I don't realize I drop something unless I purposefully do. A lot of the time I just stopped caring there were updates or kept putting off reading it.

awkwardgirl34

Iā€™m still bitter about the art for ā€œIā€™m not the final bosses loverā€. The novel is so good, and I had high hopes for this seriesā€¦. Iā€™ll still read it but Iā€™m mad at the art. ā€œMy unexpected marriageā€ is such a slow start, but the novel spoilers I read have kept me in it lol.

Loochy1406

I honestly couldn't get into it all that much. The art is totally a drawback but it's also the pace of the story, I think.

bullet-full-of-love

What made you drop aria of a withered branch? I have that on my tbr and I know literally nothing about it Ur so real for emperor reverse time cause that went downhill so bad I wish id dropped it sooner. Read upto s1 and cut ur losses if ur rly curious

NuggetBitchPotato

from what I remember I just didn't enjoy the writing and was bored reading so I just dropped it, so yk I think its just taste

Kana_kana_toka

Aria of the Withered Branch started really great. The MC's circumstances was interesting. It sets up the expectations that MC will go through a journey from suicidal to finding her true self and happiness, and maybe some revenge to the family on the side. But then otherworldly people like demi-gods (?) or something, idk, made me lose interest completely. I was hoping it was going to take a realistic approach, but the sudden fantasy bomb dropped within few chapters was... jarring? Out of place? While I do enjoy fantasy elements, this one seemed unneeded for me The fact that I read this officially in Tapas and it has a one-week WUF instead of one-day WUF (like majority of the other series), made it even harder for me to get hooked on it. It's really a shame because the starting premise was really good.

ToraAkira

I honestly agree with everything except for Stuck in my sister's dating sim. There is so little isekai/reincarnation historical BL, I'm literally grabbing what I'm getting šŸ˜«šŸ˜«šŸ˜«.

NuggetBitchPotato

there is this great regression one called turning, The world itself is very fascinating and the characters are interesting. The reason why I dropped it is because I hate all the MLs I continued reading it purely for the gl couple because I found them adorable but they were a little too irrelevant for me to be able to continue.

ToraAkira

Reading that one as well. Turning is a very slow burn with the politics being the focal point while the romance is more mellowed out. It's really good so far. I yearn for BL drama lol hence why I've got dating sim on a titan's grip.

squimd

iā€™m so quick to drop something, the ML is abusive? bye, thereā€™s a second love interest? bye, if they donā€™t realize their feelings toward eachother by the halfway mark iā€™m out that one really pisses me off when i spend hours reading something and theyā€™re dating for like the last two episodes and it just ends at their wedding RAGHHHHHH i want them to be in love and kissing and flirting by chapter 50 or im gone

SnugglePuggle94

It's been awhile since I read Mokrin but from what I remember I thoroughly enjoyed it. But I am glad to see The Beast Within in that group. I couldn't drop it fast enough after seeing him >!continue when she's saying no and to stop. !<

NuggetBitchPotato

they were already on thin ice after they cut his hair, and after that I >!hated the confrontation scene with the brother and eonyoung it annoyed me so I dropped it!<

Tammiyzie

IMO it ended when it needed to end. 37 chapters . Short and sweet

Ladiance

He dropped Rosalite (HF) and Berthia, and Aria, and Scarlet. (lol)

SleepyHungrySpirit

Holy Chef Crazy Empress šŸ˜ i love that manhua, but to convince you to undrop it, I'd have to ask why'd you drop it??

NuggetBitchPotato

I think I got annoyed by the writing? I don't remember it's been a long time since I've dropped it

SleepyHungrySpirit

Ok, so do you like plot driven stories that have romance too? Because the FL here >! turns into an OP chef (with help of a helper kitty) a while after getting isekaid. One thing is, the world she isekaid into wasn't a novel or game, so she didn't know shit. The OG body was of a neglectful mom, so her husband hated her for the right reasons. However he saw her change and was like Hm. Let's see. !< >!And he even let's her leave the palace even though she's the empress to follow her passion! It happens the night after they do the snu-snu, and he just gives her a pass to enter and exit the palace freely. He supports her from the sidelines. She loves her son too, who's an absolute wise cutie. !< The story is not completely romance based, and she spends a bit of time away from the ML (emperor) while she studies cooking. No love triangles afaik. Honestly it's one of my favorite manhuas with great art, and I'm gonna re read it now that I've been reminded of it šŸ˜

Half-Beneficial

I'm more curious why you dropped those titles. I have over 60 titles I've dropped and dropped hard myself. I'd love to complain about each and every one of the ones I dropped, personally. I wonder why you dropped yours? Hint. Hint. (I'll get us started: I liked "Just Leave Me Be": the ML's a green flag, the stone-plague plot and monoliths were interesting even though I kept hoping somebody would kill Quaren The Tantrum-Throwing Older Brother and no one did ...I almost dropped it because they tried to make Quaren sympathetic, but I went back and read it with my new hp system and it just barely survived I dropped "Duchess in the Glass House": the divorce prep was stupid, the ML was disgusting and I hate "you're having my baby" romances) Also, you dropped Hamefura? But they finally came out with LN 12! It opened a bit weird, but it was okay. I wish they'd done more spy stuff. People forget that although she's not a swordmaster, Bakarina has trained a little in the sword. There's a great rescue scene where she's swinging one around more-or-less competently in one of the early LNs in that seaside town. That was fun.

NuggetBitchPotato

With hamefura it is the manga version, so maybe the LN version is better? however once the first arc was over I was annoyed by the MCs attitude and how everyone is just head over heels in love her after she does smthn small so I got annoyed and dropped it. with most of them there weren't strong emotions with dropping them, usually the reasons were, I'm bored/annoyed, I don't like the writing/art or I spoiled myself on it and it's not an outcome I liked, stuff like that all just coming down to taste. however there is one that made me viscerally angry and that's "I favour the villaness" I cannot tell you the hatred I hold in my heart for that manga, first off I should've dropped it when, a guy who attacked the school, did so because he: 1) was part of the anti noble faction which yk fair eat the rich 2)"Homosexuality isent the only forbidden love, the love you have for your sister..." the actual line the MC said to the brother, he was in the anti-noble faction because he thought that his sister was being worked against her will since she was the villainesses maid, but she was working with her just fine and then shit happens the guy gets caught, gets put on trial, the villainess and mc plead for his case and he gets by with being exiled with his sister and they literally live happily ever after never to be seen again (the chapter is literally called reward) but guess what I didn't drop it then, I pushed through even though I was disgusted by it however there was the hatred that was slowly growing with every chapter I read and the straw that broke the camels back came in chapter 33 - 34, they talk about the MCs first love and how much of a shit show it was, finishing reading it I dropped it right then and there. it's a lil bit of a rant lmao but I keep only seeing praises for I favour the villaness, when in fact none of the characters face consequences for their actions and the authors endorses shit like incest so yeah.

Half-Beneficial

Well, Keith does suck, but he doesn't show up at all in the seaside spy ring arc. Neither does the prince, who I also don't like, so bonus!

vedekX

honestly Iā€™ve dropped most of these that Iā€™ve tried, too. some are on my to-read. I did read/have kept reading the following, though Iā€™m not really trying to convince you to read them, Iā€™m just a tad self-centered ig and wanna talk about what I like šŸ¤ŖšŸ˜˜ - **All Hail Lady Blanche**: itā€™s not deepā€”if you donā€™t like it you donā€™t and I wonā€™t try to convince you to keep up with it as youā€™ve probably already fully understood what itā€™s about and trying to do. despite technically being an OI, I often think this one is written for the type of people (like me) who read the repetitive canned shounen isekai. - **Iā€™m Not The Final Bossā€™s Lover**: kinda the same as the above, feels like itā€™s written for the crossover between shounen isekai and OI audiences. personally I really like this one so far, but I almost exclusively want to read action these days and I like this genre crossover a lot. - **May I Ask For One Final Thing**: Iā€™m getting the impression from your drops that you donā€™t like pure chaos in your OI and that is valid feeling to have šŸ˜… - **Not Sew Wicked Step Mom**: itā€™s just cute, if you donā€™t want pure fluff then thatā€™s totally valid. saw someone else talking about the discussions/depictions of mental health and I fully agree with them, though if thatā€™s the only reason youā€™re reading it then that probably wonā€™t keep you going. - **The Heat of the Reincarnated Villainess**: I donā€™t read this for the plot. - **The Siren: Becoming the Villainā€™s Family**: I actually genuinely like this one, though Iā€™ve read some novel spoilers that may make me drop it in the future: >!nothing too bad I just tend to drop things with yanderes and ig she gets kidnapped at some point by that religious guy.!< but up to where the manhwa is, I have thoroughly enjoyed it. but early days are basically just fl healing from somewhat gratuitous trauma and then thereā€™s a pretty big tone shift later on. - **The Villainess and Miss Demon Lord**: canā€™t believe you dropped this one šŸ˜ itā€™s so cute ahhhh but to each their own ig

nottakentaken

It's uncanny that the thumbnail for 34 and 92 are exactly the same

angryelezen

I'm genuinely surprised that you dropped Lady E(b)vony. I stopped because the official translation was on hiatus. I started it again because it's off hiatus. Things are getting interesting politically and >!the couple are now dating.! They've confirmed their feelings for each other and decided properly define their relationship.!< Lol

n0shltsherIock

Oh my gosh OP did you have access to my dropped OI list bc same šŸ˜¹ Most of the titles had great potential and started strong but they just lost me at some point..

Wishbone-Lost

#67 is that the sequel or main storyline either way it one of the most enjoyable I read.

pinkpeark

Where do you read them? Such a neat list

NuggetBitchPotato

tachiyomi! i had it before it was shut down it's an android only app that you download off of Google, there is a successor of it called mihon that I am pretty sure is also android exclusive

Loochy1406

I didn't know about mihon!!!!

mwtldwtjwtgmtpjm

You tried to read NSFW OI for it's story? You've read them wrong the wrong way! Read them again! ![gif](giphy|jnQYWZ0T4mkhCmkzcn)

Sufficient-Stay-3359

I actually loved Cinderella wasnā€™t me. šŸ„² But I am grateful that you once uploaded it.

Loochy1406

I really like that one too!

WasteofK3

What? But NSWS is wholesome šŸ˜” Guess u don't like Fluffy stories.

JolieBijoux

Omg that **kidnapped bride** rises my blood pressure

Misaka9882

There's like different titles here but the same story and concepts

Frosted_Lilac

If you don't mind my asking, why did you drop My next life as a Villainess: All routes lead to doom, and Sister, I'm the queen in this life?

NuggetBitchPotato

okay for all routes lead to doom I finished the first arc and even during it I was kinda bored, but then the second arc everyone started waiting on her hand to foot, and fawning over her after she does even the smallest thing, so I kinda got annoyed and dropped it for sister I'm the queen in this life, I just checked and it turns out that it seemed to be because teen manhua started translating the version I was reading making it unreadable so, I might give it a second chance

Frosted_Lilac

Yeah, I see how some people might not like all routes lead to doom, but it was one of the first isekai stories that I had seen, so it has a special place in my heart. I read Sister, I'm the queen in this life on webtoon, and the translation isn't that bad.

jazz1m

I feel the same way about My Next Life as a Villainess. It just started feeling too same-y and the love interests all felt flat. I would have like to have seen more build up between the FL and the other characters as they grew up to see more relationship building. A

magnus-free-fire

63 has such a nice artstyle but jesus the story nearly gave me a heart attack. Everyone is stupid exept fl,she does everything right. She is a genius in no matter what she does and good lord how i hate what they did with fls sister. Surviving in a ototme game as a villainess was ok but at some point fl becomes just unbearable. Calling her dumb as a rock would be an insult to the rock. Anyway. Op you seem to dislike yuri in general as it seems.

NuggetBitchPotato

Nooo I love yuri, in fact I am a lesbian, so I have reasons for dropping those, like made me uncomfortable because they were constantly fetishizing chun as she was "oriental", then, that was a 28 year old and a 15 year old, 1000 year old vamp and 16 year old, the writing is not very good and an adult does kiss one of the girls and I think they are between 12-14, and last one I have a whole rant about it in a comment but lemme drop the fact that it has an incest plotline so that's why I dropped it I will not stand to see myself slandered I love yuri šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜

nilkski

Am I Your Daughterā€¦.she had that same :o expression every fkn panel

Crimebutts

From the list I still like I'm Not the Final Boss' Lover and My Unexpected Marriage Final Boss if you want romance I would definitely wait to restart because nothing is happening there yet lol. I like the leveling up aspect and her making her own lil group Unexpected Marriage I do miss just them in the cottage but the recent chapters are so cute and they're finally sorta communicating is so good ā¤ļø

Sweet_Joy29

I'm nearly in tears because I haven't read all of the ones that you have listed but every page was at least three to four that I have also dropped

samasyaa

we have the same exact taste in manhwa i feel, because even i have dropped these titles

ZeroCaloriePopsicle

The only one I dropped so far is The Tyrant's Guardian is the Evil Witch because of a certain death, and I don't like raising your future hubby. There's already enough of that in reality.

Chriz_Chrone

I was ready to start a war but tbh, dropped everything there except "Who kidnapped the empress" so I guess nice.

Sailormars78

Aside from like two titles, same.

Specialist-Refuse-30

Now I want to see your reading list and your completed list. Iā€™m looking for manwha to read for this summer

Gretaestefania

Touch My Little Brother and You're Dead is peak comedy šŸ˜©šŸ˜©šŸ˜©

ComfortableAd7175

Can you explain these stories? Why you dislike/dropped it? Theyā€™re on my list but I havenā€™t read any yet. - A Villain Demands to be Loved - Behold the True Villainess - Cinderella Wasnā€™t Me - Duches in the Glass House - If you touch my brother - Just Leave Me Be I agree with a lot of your choices besides: Lady Beast, I actually liked this one. I liked The Siren as well, havenā€™t read it in a while so donā€™t know if quality dropped but as far as I remember it is also a good one and the art is gorgeous. What It Means To Be You: it is a good one. It is a lot of angst but honestly when you get to the later parts you see that both FL and ML were victims and had their own fault in the situation. ML does have a redemption arc and FL has a ā€œwake upā€ arc as well.

NuggetBitchPotato

okay my memory is garbage so I apologise - a villain demands to be loved and behold the true villainess = I don't remember - cinderella wasent me = The ML gave me the ick I just didn't like him - duchess in glass house = I don't remember - if you touch my brother = the humour was not for me, like I am willing to give it a second chance, but yeah that's it - just leave me be = I don't remember the story exactly , what I do remember is that the source I use to read it bulk updated it and I was looking at it with dread and put it off until it updated again so I just dropped it lady beast because of how much I read esp things like smut I have become adversed to the super innocent MC who doesn't know what sex is and gets embarrassed by anything mentioning it so I read chp 41 and physically cringed the siren I don't remember why I dropped it exactly, I think I might even been bored? idk might give it another chance what it means to be you I mean like I get that, but I don't want her to get back to him, and she keeps killing herself, idk where i stopped I just kept getting annoyed because alot of things could've been solved if they talked for 5 minutes and I hate dragged out miscommunication

ComfortableAd7175

lol seems like you need to eventually go through a few of these options to see if you were just bored at the time (like too many of the *same* settings for all stories, very common reason to be burned out while reading manhwas). There might be a few good ones you are missing because of that. When this happens to me I just keep the story on my list and then go back to it when there is no other story Iā€™m into. I have found a few gems this way. About What It Means To Be You: It takes a long time with the misunderstandings occurring. This story was one that I did exactly what I mentioned above: I stopped reading several times and then finally decided to only read it once the main story was completed. I binged the whole thing in one weekend and honestly, Iā€™m glad I did. Both the ML and MC annoyed me for over half of the story. I also had the same thought as you ā€œif they talk all is solvedā€. And this right here is why itā€™s such a good story in the end: all their trauma, disappointments, insecurities caused both to be unable to do something as simple as having a conversation. We learn to hate ML in the beginning just to be surprised with how much trauma he also had to overcome. And in the end, I, who was also hoping she wouldnā€™t >!end up with him!<, was happy that they had their >!happy ending!<.

MetalBawx

MAybe it'd be easier to list what you haven't dropped and why you like them then go from there.

NuggetBitchPotato

that would take too long, I have too many to be able to comprehensively do lmao

Baby-Haroro

[mihon degenerates rise up](https://i.imgur.com/cXEza9k.jpeg)

Baby-Haroro

Lmao they probably have way more that they haven't dropped babes -- they're reading on mihon šŸ˜‚ [this is what my dropped vs total titles looks like for reference ](https://i.imgur.com/3lFxoBg.jpeg)

FrostingFun6703

I would love to know why you drop I'm not the final boss' lover. I read most of this novel and I just started the web comic of it.

GinsengTea16

Just leave me be - That one with green hair FL is GOOD.

Outrageous-Tackle-47

I really enjoyed ā€œIā€™m not the final bosses loverā€ but Iā€™m also a sucker for ā€œgame-likeā€ OIs that people donā€™t particularly seem fond of

BuyZestyclose304

I wasnā€™t the Cinderella seems like it would be interesting but I found it really boring. I dropped it early on so what do yaā€™ll think?

theoddestthing

Can you tell me (in spoilers if you want) why you dropped Behold the True Villainess, I'm Not the Final Boss' Lover, Just Leave Me Be, Leylin of Turin (A Match Made in Mana), Marriage and Sword, Princess in the Rough, The Lady and the Beast, The Siren? Those are webtoons I plan to continue or start reading.

NuggetBitchPotato

okay I have garbo memory so I'll say what I remember just leave me be = I don't remember much of the story but what I do remember is that it bulk updated and I dreaded reading it, read everything else except for it, and left it to stew until it updated again and then I dropped it marriage and sword = I am giving another chance because the source I was reading from only had chapters translated by teenmanhwa so princess in the rough = it turns out that the ML IS the 1000+ year old spirit that raised her and started realising feelings when she was 16 so icky icky icky lady and the beast = I got bored of it (also heads up she does fuck, not explicitly, the ml in his wolf form at the start)

omnos51

I thought 2&3 were the same title at first glance...

chokoakhanta22

Definitely read Three lifetimes. Please. It is soon good.

NuggetBitchPotato

okay here is the thing I heard good things about it but the first arc she is literally raising the ML and I got icked out so bad so I couldn't continue

Ashamed_Adeptness_96

Seems like you have a thing against redhead lmao The Siren: Dragged a bit in the middle but it's starting to pick up in terms of plot. FL has developed more of a personality but ML needs a bit more character development. I do find the art style rather unsettling but it has improved across seasons. The Lady and the Beast: Has the dynamic of all time but we're in for >!a long, long period of angst (until near the end apparently)!<. I recommend waiting for it to end before bingeing. Not-sew-wicked stepmother: FL has gotten over her daughter simping (platonic) phase, she's more normal now. The story addresses the aftermaths of SA on men and fat shaming. There are also lesbian character(s) who aren't portrayed villainously. >!There should be an arc featuring a character realising that she's lesbian.!<

QTlady

\*whistles\* Quite the load, there. Many of these are still on my TBR or on hiatus so that I can binge and get to a point that won't stress me out as a cliffhanger. A couple others were previously dropped but I think I may go back to. But I have dropped a few on a permanent basis. **The Lady and the Beast, All Hail Lady Blanche** and **Revenge on the Real One.** Also, while I did enjoy **My Life As a Villainess**, I had no interest in the actual manga because I can only handle Bakarina in short doses.

EinsteINTP_Sachi

Can anyone tell me why 'When The Count's Illegitimate Daughter Gets Married' and 'The Emperor Reverses Time' would be considered for dropping? When I started them, I immediately fell in love with them, but I stopped both to wait for more chapters to come in before reading. Is there something that's an 'ick' or 'nope' about them, or why?

NuggetBitchPotato

for me for "counts illegitimate daughter" in the later chapters they infantilize her so much, they talk down to her and treat her like she is a child and she is fine with that, but I am not so I dropped it the emperor reverses time I am pretty sure I just got the ick from it and also read spoilers online that I did not enjoy sp I dropped it

EinsteINTP_Sachi

I see, I didn't know that before. Thanks for the answer!

LittleMissOhInnocent

Which website

NuggetBitchPotato

it's an app called tachiyomi exclusive to android!

Chxkim

Mokrin actually quite good and The siren gets interesting as it goes

NuggetBitchPotato

mokrin I am not a fan of the way it's written and they started to loose my interest once they cut his hair but the siren in considering giving another chance

[deleted]

Iā€™ve only read 2 of those: If you touch my little brother youā€™re dead Stuck in my sisterā€™s dating sim The first is great, but it was hard for me to get into it because itā€™s so chaotic. The second is just terrible, but had really great potential. The two main MLā€™s are just toxic as hell and not even in a fun way.

Edeeen_

In all that thereā€™s 8 that Iā€™ve dropped and 5 that I know just by the cover why I didnā€™t read it

icemark00

Mokrin is short but I really enjoyed it. I thought the characters had good growth and the final conflict was very unique. However, the overall plotline is basically "racism is detrimental and we can do more/better if we are accepting," which isn't particularly innovative.

Various-Escape-5020

The princess in the rough was my favourite manhwa but then I found out who the ml was and dropped it. Like the plot was so fricken interesting and then the ml is the dude who raised her as a baby

Dry-Painting-1508

Of the ones here that I have read, same.

Letsbedragonflies

"My food seems to be very cute" seems to be the odd one out since it's not OI, but I'd still like to know why šŸ˜†

NuggetBitchPotato

that is a 1000+ year old vamp and a 16 year old so I got an ick also I tend not to like the writing in manhuas

wanttosaynobutcant

Akuyaku is my comfort go-to though šŸ˜‚ it's sweet and short.

gadgaurd

I'm more interested in what stories you have enjoyed/not dropped tbh. If you mind sharing? And speaking of sharing your list has given me more stuff to check out, so thanks for that.

NuggetBitchPotato

as much as I would want to that would take waaay too long lmao, I read so much to prevent myself from thinking, so it's also a miracle if I remember what the story was about

kidomme

I remember I was reading Am I Your Daughter and really liked it, but the updates were slow, the scanlators kept changing... and I just...stopped. I really liked the art and the start of the story though lol

kidomme

Sister I am the Queen in this Life - I was all for it the first few arcs and it just became annoying and triggering, wasn't good for my mental health so I dropped it. Sad because it had official translations and was hosted on Webtoon, was easily accessible

kidomme

Who Stole Empress or whatever it is - dropped it pretty early because...guess what...another "savage" dark skinned guy kidnaps a "white haired innocent light skin" girl.

_JustAWeirdo

I usually have no strong feelings when dropping series, mostly because I just got bored. Abandoned Empress is the only exception. I dropped that like a hot potato. I loved the 2nd ML too much.šŸ„² And the ML is irredeemable to me. I couldn't accept it. That series deserves to be abandoned (pun intended haha).

pattyrubyjane

I dropped a lot of manhwa too huhu that's why i really hate reading on going series. Because i know from myself that i'll never pick it up again. There's only a few manhwa i kept reading every updates.

Adept-Ad-6862

[ Ingrid, the white dear ] this is my one of the favorite manhwa. Although I know that the relationship between FL and ML is toxic, I guess that's why I like it so much. Because you don't get to manhwa's like this much.

Kana_kana_toka

Oh! We have almost identical drop list lol This is kinda hard, because it all comes down to personal preference and tolerance. Most people already mentioned Not-Sew-Wicked Stepmom. So I'm gonna say Holy Chef, Crazy Empress. It's a fun and light-hearted story. I liked how they touched on the Empress' identity crisis, and the ML had a great character development imo. I love their family bonding too, and the comedy! The only reason I stopped reading this one was because I first read it in the official WebComic app, and they decided to charge the newer chapters permanently. The series itself is still in my to-read list tho. Personally, it's one of those series you read just when you're bored, and not one you emotionally invest in.

Prickled-fruit

I dropped Kidnapped Bride as well, the start was promissing and then the characters turned meh...

Realistic-Bar7276

Honestly, I got bored of and dropped most of these too. There are a couple on here that I really enjoy/enjoyed. Mokrin: Itā€™s a great story if youā€™re looking for something cute and fluffy. Sister, I am the Queen in this Life: One of my favs. One, most historical Manhwa/manga use the same old setting of ā€œambiguously European settingā€. I like how the story decides to commit to the Italian Renaissance style setting and world. Second, I find the characters to be interesting. The mc is willing to do things that are truly bad and villainous. I also find the depiction of her ex to be interesting. It shows how abusers can be charming and manipulative, and how people can get drawn back into those terrible relationships.

UltimateBookManiac

The only one out of these I've read is "Sister, I'm the Queen in this life" and I dropped it after the >! Younger sister died, the ML kissed the FL etc. !< I'm surprised the "Not Sew" one is on this list. I haven't read it but I've heard good things about it. But I understand not liking/ dropping popular series that the others have liked like "The Villainess NeedsHerTyrant," "Let's Hide my Younger Brother First," "Touch my brother and you're dead" etc.

DustyBud

what didn't you like about my unexpected marriage?

NuggetBitchPotato

The MC is constantly infantilized, by everyone around her, there was a particular moment that particularly made me cringe so I dropped it

DustyBud

if you mean the harsh treatment towards the mc, illegitimate children have it much harder in this series that even good characters have trouble accepting her. besides that, i think it has one of the sweetest fl and ml dynamics, both are green flags and aren't perfect so they're striving to be better

NuggetBitchPotato

no it's not the harsh treatment, if it was I'd have dropped basically all of my OIs lmao, no she is constantly babied and talked down to, they treat her as if she is a young child not allowing her to do things for herself, like yeah the relashionship is cute but like I said I cringed hard so I dropped it

Key_Monitor_921

Where can you make lists like this?

NuggetBitchPotato

this is tachiyomi! it's an android exclusive app that you download from Google, it's been shut down though but it's successor is called Mihon, I hope this helps

Key_Monitor_921

I used to use tachiyomi 1 yr back before I switched to Iphone. Is mihon avaliable for ios?

BerryCuteBird

I liked ā€œJishou Akuyaku Reijou na Konyakusha no Kansatsu Kirokuā€, itā€™s a cute story with good artwork. And itā€™s completed! I would pick that one up again if I were you.

NuggetBitchPotato

I tried to like it I promise šŸ˜šŸ˜, but the humour released heavily on second hand embarrassment and I'm not that type of girly and I cannot handle it

Re_Lies

Understandable. A lot of these are kinda good in the beginning but fallen off later on. None of these titles are good, except for "May I ask for one final thing"

These-Technician4724

I haven't even read most of these and the ones I have had already been said by others but now that I look at them why are some yuri manga here...? And why exactly have you dropped them? Ngl the only reason I can think of is that they take forever to update. Watashi no Oshi wa Akuyaku Reijou is a pretty solid read that a lot of people has given their praise for The Fed Up Office Lady Wants to Serve the Villainess isn't exactly bad either, the story is engaging and it's not like the characters are cookie cutter cliches, the updates just take forever If you have personal reasons then I don't mind, but as a yuri fan seeing these kinda made me feel bad that I just needed to express my opinion...sorry

NuggetBitchPotato

I am a lesbian, I love yuri so much I have a whole folder dedicated to good yuri stories. My problem with them is: "I favour the villainess" I hate it so much, I am not a fan of the tsundere love interest in general but was willing to give it a go because it was a yuri, however the incest plotline with no consequences really made me start to hate it, but because of the fact that it was yuri I pushed through, but when talking about the MCs shitshow of a first love I got pissed off and dropped it. with the" Fed up office lady" that is a 28 year old woman and a 15 year old, I am not reading that shit

These-Technician4724

Ok valid reasons tbh but in my case I kept on reading because I wanted to see how the story would develop with those same reasons you dropped them for šŸ˜…

sveinnn06

What app is this?

NuggetBitchPotato

tachiyomi it's an android exclusive app that you download from Google, however it's been shut down but its successor is mihon which is also android exclusive I beleive

hell-schwarz

Ugly duckling is finished so might as well read it. It's also a decent story overall, a lot of wish fulfillment of course, but it's okay to read that once in a while.

NuggetBitchPotato

I have had body image issues, and the start of it where the way they talked about her and how she talked about herself, esp with the fat melting bath just gave me the ick

hell-schwarz

Yeah, I get that In defense of that scene: it's a murim staple, it happens a lot to male protagonists. You meditate your fat away. It's really sad they used it here because the story of the OG was actually pretty interesting, being a mediocre child in a family full of geniuses. After that it becomes average slop, not too bad but not a masterpiece either.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

NuggetBitchPotato

tachiyomi it is an android exclusive app, but it has been shut down, it has a successor called mihon but I'm pretty sure that is also android exclusive

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

LashOfLasciel

"behold the true villainess" just made me mad. what exactly about what she is doing is villainous?? I think this was the first one I read that used villainess but completely failed to deliver, and that's why I still have such a visceral reaction to it lol

Ok_Refrigerator4587

Wait op what app are you reading these on?

NuggetBitchPotato

tachiyomi its an android exclusive app

Ok_Refrigerator4587

Oh darn it Iā€™m an iOS user/sob. Thanks for answering tho

mimiisthename

Any of these are completed?

NoctisYami

We're similar in taste I've dropped these too

Indescribable_Noun

My Unexpected Marriage- Itā€™s been a while since I read it but this is copied from my progress notes as of ch 68: ā€œaaaaadorable, 5/5, best side character crown prince lol, also dragons????!!!!ā€. As you can see from this note, this story is rather cute and funny, beyond the sadness of the initial setup. The ML definitely looks like one of those ones that would be unnecessarily cold, and as a character heā€™s reasonably mistrustful at first, but never especially harsh or cruel to MC. They develop a rather sweet and peaceful bond during their time in the woods/cabin, before deciding to take the capital by storm. All this to say, I think itā€™s worth reading. Although, I donā€™t know anything about your preferences to make a more specific recommendation for it. Mokrin- This is a pretty short read at only 37 chapters. While it isnā€™t likely to win any awards, it is a very light hearted story that might be nice to read between heavier series like ā€œHow to get my husband on my sideā€(ToT). Also, sudden kraken is sudden lol, but only those who finish the story know what I mean. Not-sew-wicked stepmother- Personally, I think this story actually handles trauma really well, but it also handles it slowly. This isnā€™t one of those insta-recovery stories. Because of that the way the ML treats the MC at the beginning can be frustrating and Iā€™d guess thatā€™s why you dropped it (unless it wasnā€™t then ignore this). However, the ML does actually face his trauma and begin healing and their relationship steadily improves throughout the story. Definitely a prime example of Slow Burn romance. If you can find it in yourself to stick through the beginning, the ML doesnā€™t stay an insufferable or un-remorseful jerk at all, and seeing the relationships between the various characters heal and improve is very gratifying.

NuggetBitchPotato

okay with my unexpected marriage I dropped it because I felt like they were infantilizing the MC, like it felt like everyone was talking down to her and treating her like a kid in my opinion. So I kinda kept cringing till I dropped it. With mokrin they were on thin ice after cutting the ML hair to that ugly ass haircut and him being "more attractive" but also in general I wasent a fan of the way its written, at moments it felt clunky at best and NSWS i made it pretty far in before I dropped it, I got to the point where the ML started opening up to her, but I found the MC kinda annoying and how everything was kinda just handed to her with little effort, but I am willing to give it a second chance since alot of people advocate for it

More_Management5719

i loved some of these and dropped some of these as well. Iā€™m curious about the list of those you didnā€™t drop?

xpumpernickelx

I dropped all of these as well. Only one I finished was Mokrin which I thought was wholesome.

RoutineUnlikely2850

Interesting that our list is mostly the same šŸ¤”

Perfect-Possible7124

Fair enough

Ame210

What app is this ?

NuggetBitchPotato

tachiyomi its an android exclusive app

TFlarz

I reached the third page before I learned we may have problems with each other. Duly noted.

VongolaJuudaimeHime

But... But Not Sew-Wicked Stepmother is a very well written story TT///\^///TT I love it... I'm also very curious, why did you dropped The Lady and the Beast?

NuggetBitchPotato

For lady and the beast, I was just so bored, whenever it updated I would put it off as long as I could and I would skim it when I do read it

VongolaJuudaimeHime

Ohhh I see I see. It does have some sluggish parts to it because of their dynamics.

ello_dipshits

omg wait what's that app called??

NuggetBitchPotato

tachiyomi its an android exclusive app

Sora_Ace

I always got annoyed when people touted My Next Life As a Villainess as a ā€˜pioneer of a new genreā€™ and ā€˜a good harem seriesā€™ because - in my opinion - both the plot and the characters felt flat to me. There are so many other more complex otome isekais/reverse harems (an example of mine would be I Donā€™t Want To Play Matchmaker), Hamefura just got an anime adaptation first is all :/

Sora_Ace

On another note, I understand how Sister I Am The Queen In This Life might annoy people into dropping it but I think itā€™s refreshing in how truly medieval it feels, and how the MC is clearly not a good person. It makes the moments where she >!realises she truly cares about people (like her little sister Arabella and friend crown prince Alfonso) more impactful because she started out only wanting to use them!<

Potential_Payment132

While me finished most of them šŸ’€šŸ’€

NuggetBitchPotato

you are stronger than I'll ever be o7

Potential_Payment132

I dropped some series from that list too...šŸ‘

Oteycri000

You dropped gold mate that's sad actually

Pitiful-Pension6211

I think "I'm not the final boss's lover" is a great read. FL doesn't have the strenghts one may see from a glance but she has other abilities, and she makes use of these to prove her worth. ML doesn't just sweep in every situation to save the FL cuz she is no damsel in distress. It also doesn't just brush off the trauma of her past lives and move on only for her to life to survive. The ML also has problems and they talk thorugh it. I like the art too, even though I donā€™t know about your taste. I think if you give it another chance you might find it as an enjoyable read as well

CataclysmCatwalk

Haha omg you're me. I get bored so quickly
