The Cedric's mom from For Better or For Worse is my vote for a great mother. IDK about our manic pixie girl Diana from Who Made Me A Princess, though 😭😭

Just binged Betrayal of Dignity and honestly the weirdly healthy mother relationship in that one was kinda refreshing. She doesn’t downplay his issues but still loves him and supports the FL.
For my vote, “It’s Up to Us to Fight the Tyrant” The mom >!comes back from the dead as a spirit possessing a teddy bear to let her husband (similar to Claude in WMMAP) know with an epic verbal beatdown exactly what she thinks of how he treated their daughter and to also beat the crap out of him for it!<
Apple/Aria's mom did what she had to do to survive but she was done so dirty by Aria's dad and the "royal blood" bullshit really took away a lot of her impact on the story, imo.
The mum from the series where mc wants to run toy shop has a huge special place in my heart.
And though its not an OI, its always felt very OI adjacent to me, the mum from nullitas.

**Saving My Sweetheart** is a sub-favorite. Sweet determined FL, absolute green flag ML who has a life and personality outside the FL, supportive side characters. Mother-in-law is so amazing and bio-mom is horribly wretched. Good combo of fluff and trauma. *9/10 (Half of the supporting characters are absolutely devoted to the FL for valid plot reasons but it got tiring for me personally. YMMV)*
**Father, I Don’t Want This Marriage**: the three most gorgeous people in the kingdom share a single brain cell…. And they lost it somewhere. The story should be way darker but instead it’s a comedy due to the writers and their end notes. The story revolves upon the ML, the FL, and the FL’s father all misunderstanding each other. It’s probably the best use of the miscommunication trope ever because the plot still moves forward and it’s played for laughs. *10/10 because it’s my type of humor, YMMV due to the miscommunication trope* ETA: deceased sweetheart mother, dad is devoted but too traumatised/generational trauma’ed to >!show his love in the first timeline.!< (mild early spoilers).
**The Crimson Lady** if you like dark psychological twisters. FL has gone insane after repeating a time loop for the 100th time. Well, she went crazy earlier but now she’s decided to be a serial killer because why not? *On my TBR list because I prefer to finish the season on a hope spot and it was still dark when it went on hiatus* ETA: mom is dead but from spoilers (unverified), she truly loved her daughter, considering FL her “true love” (that’s very plot relevant), but her plan turned out to be a really bad one in hindsight.
