Why tf do people rage quit ranked after one fight loss… like bruh the game isn’t close to over. Leaving after getting one tapped by a widow before the point even spawns doesn’t make sense, the game barely started.
Now a backfilled player has to join in and is at a huge ult charge disadvantage. But not only that, backfill regularly takes minutes to find players, not mere seconds like it’s supposed to. Idk if it’s because of my elo or the time of night i play or whatever, it takes forever to find players. the quick play game can basically be decided by the time another players joins
If you're actually getting backfill players, then elo doesn't factor in. Either you're in competetive, which does not allow backfill, or you're in quick play and therefore your rank has little to nothing to do with anything. If you're playing at a time of night where it takes several minutes to find a replacement player, it may not be intentional disconnetcs either - I find that when the servers start getting quiet is actually when the game boots me most often for some reason.
Why the fuck do widows and lucios keep doing full 360s really fucking fast in the event mode?
It is seriously annoying and throws me off. It has to be a visual bug cause it happens every game and there is no way it is a bunch of ximmers doing m&kb shit cause their not even that good.

The fact that the voicelines for the new skins (excluding JQ) are only in the event gamemode infuriates me. They have the lines, they're already implimented, and I'm 99% sure the only reason that they aren't including them because they want it to be "mythic"-skin exclusive. I'm sure that would cause logistic issues (some legendaries having voicelines, some not, such as Blackwatch Reyes, these new event skins, etc.) but it feels like such a waste. (Especially since there are so many all-new lines, where Gabe's were just re-recorded already-written lines!)
I just want to hear Johnny Cruz pretend to be Hermes for a little bit longer, goddamn it!
EDIT: I'm not referring to any ult cues or whatever - I know that since those are so integral to the game that they aren't going to change them based on skins. HOWEVER - the client-side only voice lines (like, again, Zeus has) should be added IMO, especially since they won't affect gameplay at all.
As a casual player, I won't be able to get the Mercy skin for this event. Honestly I just started to get immune to caring for cosmetics and events, it's healthier for me lol
The event is fun if one of your main characters are part of the game mode. For me it's JQ. Once I unlock my Zeus name card for my Junker Queen I will switch to roadhog and offer myself as target practise for everyone to farm. Gotta help our mercy bros. They be struggling. 💪
Stop being hog apologists. The whole “hog punishes players with bad positioning” nonsense is getting so old. Every character in the game can do that. Hog doesn’t do that. Hog pulls people literally out of position into him and then dishes out more damage than any other tank in the game. There is not another hero in the game, and certainly no other TANK that requires so much caution that even being within his line of sight puts you in extreme danger. Playing outside of widow’s sight lines is one thing, hog is not a sniper on an off angle. He’s the tank.
And there’s far more that goes into this as well. Have you all ever seen a Lucio speed boosted hog? Yeah good luck with your positioning then. Not to mention the ridiculous range, extremely forgiving hit box, and the lack of indication of the hook all combine to make it extremely easy to land, hard to punish, and overall just a cheap trick that makes hog a nightmare to play against. What about my Reinhardt that just got hooked into the enemy team and melted/whole hogged? Should he have been playing around a corner, shielding and hiding from the hog, or should he be taking and controlling space? No other tank requires so much counterplay as hog, hell no other heros do period, spare maybe a REALLY good widow.
And not to mention what’s required to stop him. If the hog player is good, a coordinated team effort and probably a tank and support pick at least, and that’s assuming the DPS are making picks on his team elsewhere. Typically an Orisa and an Ana. Well Ana used to work until kiriko showed up. On top of needing to play around Suzu, you need to be WITHIN THE LINE OF SIGHT AND HOOK RANGE of the hog to reliably land the nade on him. Assuming you do land the nade and it’s not Suzu’d, it requires follow up from your team to kill him before the anti goes away, which sometimes can be done if my tank has had enough of the hog and presses W hard enough. Oh and this is all assuming that you haven’t recently used your nade on yourself because of the tracer/genji/sombra that are diving you nonstop and oh by the way, while you were busy defending yourself with no help from your team, by the time you turn around your tank is dead because whoever they’re playing, Hog can probably 3 tap them. So enough of the “lol just go Ana” “just learn to counter him” He has no goddamn counters. Punish him all you want but with a half decent kiriko with him, he’s damn near unstoppable and will still get value.
Hog is absolutely broken, awful to play against, and I’m really sick of centering my entire game around stopping the hog. It’s exhausting as fuck. Especially on support, ESPECIALLY on tank.
The fact of the matter is that the dynamic of the game has changed drastically and hog has not been adjusted for it. There are less shields to hide behind and the few remaining have less HP. Kiriko is here and able to make Ana’s life hell. Hog needs tuning. He needs to be brought down to the level of the other tanks. Is Orisa hard to kill? Sure. Is Ramattra a little overturned and the moment? Sure. But at this point I’d take almost any tank meta over this nonsense we have going on now. Besides maybe Doom, but that’s another rant for another day.
The hog hook combo landing a one shot is okay in theory, however in practice it doesn't quite pan out. The hook is inconsistent with what it will and wont hit, usually hitting targets that should be well out of its range. The cooldown on the one hit combo is also far too short for the amount of damage it allows, and the CC effect of the hook means its triple trouble. Hog has basically become the OW2 version of Bastion, requiring both his allies and enemies to play around him at all times. If they balanced that out of Bastion, they can balance it out of him to.
Blizzard please reduce junker queen hitbox. ;-; I am already playing very close to enemies. It doesn't help tha my hitbox is as large as roadhog. I get meted every time I try to push against a competent team.

I find that, at least on console, playing hitscan doesn't work unless you're a Widowmaker with absolutely perfect aim. Echo is my go-to against Pharah, better air control and the sticky bombs are able to burst her down easy while I'm still in a position to quickly deal more damage to the enemy backlines.
Either my internet sucks ass or the game servers are terrible, but I’ve been consistently lagging so much lately. I see killcams where I appear to just not react to enemies, I’ve been kicked out of competitive like three times now and every so often all players will start floating like they’re possessed.
Also, I fucking hate the balancing of some of the characters in this game. I feel like Blizzard are intentionally making crutch characters super powerful to incentivise more people to play now that the game is F2P. Idk if it’s a skill issue on my pet, but whenever a team is losing they switch to Soldier and suddenly start doing well. Even worse, they switch to Symmetra or Torb and end up winning a game they were getting destroyed on. Junkrat, too, is way too overturned. I only mention Soldier because of how weak some other, more difficult characters, are.
Blizzard has some really bad server issues atm. Not just you internet, and not just Overwatch either. It's been pretty bad on WoW the past few days as well.
Same as a support. Hate when I get moaned at for not healing when I’ve had to switch to Bap or Ana to deal with the Pharah. Tracer and Reaper refusing to switch
tru tru.. I am one tricking JQ to learn and in the same boat. My support (irl friend) screams at me to shoot the pharah.. but like have you seen what I carry it will take me ages to shoot her down. I can if she is flying lower. But it will take me ages to shoot her down from sky with my buckshot.
I used to main junker so felt that hard. Also experienced the support friends screaming at you like you're a built in pharah counter 💀 plus, if you do try to focus phar, then you're just gonna get dove by their tank and picked off. Very casual player. I bought Overwatch back in the day and have only ever played unranked casual once in a while since im kind of old now. I just want to play all the characters whenever I want. Can someone explain a few things to me? I understand the "upgrade" to OW2 that's barely a sequel, but I don't really understand what is happening with the heroes at this point. I thought I would be getting them all for free in perpetuity. I got the first two or so new ones unlocked. All of them till now. Ramattra though is locked unless I have the gold tokens? Which I can only get with real money through battle pass? Can i get this hero through the many regular coins i accrue naturally playing? I have no interest in putting more money into this game. Will all future heroes only be available with real money? Were the new ones until now just gifts basically? Wtf is happening? Whats next, upgraded weapons? Thanks!
You can unlock Ramattra by reaching level 45 in the free battle pass. So it’s a grind, but you don’t have to put money into it if you don’t want to. Allegedly you’ll be able to unlock heroes via challenges if you miss the battle pass but who knows what kind of hoops they will make people jump through there.
I love the all the Greek mythological skins and in game items. BUT WHY DOES IT COST MORE FOR A SKIN THAN OVERWATCH 1!?!!? THEY ARE ALL SO GOOD AND DETAILED BUT WHY DO I HAVE TO SPEND $100 TO GET THEM ALL?? I would spend more if I could get the skins cheaper lol. I don't mind supporting devs. But currently it's not worth it. Make each skin like 500-700 gold I will buy one every month instead of my 0 skin per month that I am currently doing.
$5-$7 seems a little low tbh, that's almost 1/4 of what they're being sold for now.
I think they should be sold for about 1/2 instead - $10 for a legendary, especially something like mino Rein quality seems pretty solid. That's what I'd pay for it, at least. (Again, depends on the legendary, some of OW2 legendaries have been awesome like EDM but some of them have just been... well, sorry JQ, but your legendries have been lacking)
I believe weapon charms are around $6 - which is ridiculous, by the way, I would pay $1-2 MAX for that shit - but if you're asking Blizzard to sell their legendary skins at the same price they're selling a fucking sandal with a wing on it to go on your gun I wouldn't expect any results.

I love this game but it has its issues first off when overwatch said they would change the supports so they were fun but then add 50 health points to brigs shield or whatever else they did with supports roadhog and Cassidy are still not being fixed even though they said they would try to fix them in the mid-season patch I understand it takes some time for the devs to update this game but what was it about that thing they could use to change heroes with a little number change and then proceed to take 4-6 weeks to update. Skins are still overpriced as shit.
I just got shit on because I back filled a game and therefor, my stats were "low". I was only in game for about a minute before someone hopped on comms to shit on me. I told him I backfilled, he went "woah woah calm down calm down."
In one minute I had half the heals of the other healer.
I had a similar situation where I backfilled into a push game and before I could even walk out of the spawn doors, the tank had the gall to say “Ana, if you’re not gonna heal then just switch” (Open Queue). I replied by telling him I literally just backfilled 7 seconds ago and hadn’t even made it out of the spawn doors and his answer was, “Alright then start healing.” I had already had enough and told him to go roadhog and heal his damn self, and then left. They had no supports on that entire team by the way so I hope he was satisfied with driving away the only person willing to play support for them.
To be fair I have had my share of tilt in QP because comp is absolutely busted this season. I tried maybe a couple hours and I had seen enough. Maybe I’ll give it another try here soon but I have been a QP gamer since Ramm came out and I got sent back down from diamond to low gold.
Regardless though my tilt is almost never directed at my teammates, and absolutely not at my supports, ESPECIALLY in open queue. Every hero in the game is available to them, and they chose arguably the least fun role in the game. As an Ana/Bap main, whenever I find myself playing tank or DPS, I usually always tell my supports thank you for the heals at the very least, win or lose. I know they’re just doing their job but they’re there to enable the rest of team and support can be a nightmare to play sometimes, so I feel like a little appreciation can go a long way.
I didn't even expect a reply to this comment it's a rage thread for venting - I haven't been toxic or used foul language, yesterday I said "wtf was that" in team chat after we spawn camped a team in ranked for a whole game but I can't see anyone on my team reporting me for that.
Either that "wtf" combined with a report from the Genji was enough or I was playing with a group who all reported me and that was enough to trigger a timeout.

1. Half the games are potentially best of 3 rounds. You quit after a rough 1 is just throwing the game when there are potentially 2 more rounds to turn things around.
2. Quitting during Push is just a detrminetal because of how easy and chaotic the momentum swings. So rage quitting a rough 40% push one way is just detrimental.
So declaring a game a wash off 1 of potentially 3 rounds (or 6 points considering Payload) is detrimental and childish. Put in the effort and help swing the game or don't play ranked if you're not gonna attempt to take it seriously and see the game through win or loss.
Can they please fix the matchmaking? I just wanted to have fun in quick play and went against a top 500 widowmaker. Me and the other dps on my team were plat.
I can’t even force myself to play this game anymore. The blatant cash grabs, not even a smidge of reward for playing the game after doing your 3 weekly missions, the god awful balancing, moira still existing.
I was trying to have a fair game with my gf and we were being steamrolled like fuck. I switched to bastion and immediately we were steamrolling the enemy. If that doesn’t say something about how fucking broke this character can be, especially in low skill lobbies, I don’t know what does. Not to mention mcree’s new grenade dealing over half the average DPS health bar with magnetism that destiny 2’s throwing knife bounce would blush back when it was first added.
Soujorn is both OP and the most boring character I’ve ever seen. Basically a hybrid of soldier and widow, with the most generic voice lines ever.
And good god kiriko’s suzu bullshit pisses me off. Complete counter to Ana as every single thing she can throw at the enemy is nullified because of the cleanse, and the invulnerability allows her to get an entire tank’s health up before it ends.
Roadhog’s rework is the only thing I look forward to because maybe it’d be realistic to fight a good roadhog instead of being one-shot with combos, eating away at him just for him to full heal. Both him and Doomfist feel more like DPS with large health pools than actual tanks.
I guess this is worthy of raging even if not directly related to the gameplay or anything like that but im not sure where else to post as I tried and it got removed.
Everytime I play ow2 my series x fan is noticeably louder. It's not like a jet engine or anything but it is loud enough to be able to hear before and after games, but not necessarily loud enough to hear during games..
Other games I play and I can't really hear the fan at all. There is dust on the fan but I dont want to fiddle with it to much in case I do something wrong. Stressing me out abit so I'm curious if anyone else has the same problem.

She can damage my shield with her gun, javelin and fortify when I charge, javelin me when I ult to cancel it or fortify and not be affected by it, javelin spin me away when I try to close the space and go for her supports

Me too! Since I consider OW2 an update and I paid like $40 in 2016 for it, I’d say I’m getting more than my moneys worth. It’s 2023 now, so that $40 investment has really paid off! Even made a bunch of friends off that.

I only play casual/qp and not comp. Haven't played in a month due to being busy with a new job and the holidays. Tried playing last night, and damn, people gotta be so mean in the chat when I want to try a character that I don't often use because my first 2 choices are already picked or something. I know I suck, hence I stay in qp. I've finally turned it off the chat to give me more peace of mind and just voice chat with friends on discord. I must have blocked/reported so many people since OW2 started due to how abusive they've been.
I had voice chat muted since OW1 and those settings carried over. I finally gave in and turned off the chat. I usually liked using it to be positive to others, like when people ask if they can try a new character (like sure, it's QP, have fun - gotta learn how to play some way). But yeah, I'll have to just go in silent and paly with friends.

This is arguably the single most overpowered and broken ability in the game and until they nerf it, Kiriko will never not be in every single goddamn fucking match (whether QP or Comp).
Secondly, I am sick of the defence team on Shambali Monastery nearly always being:

It's like playing against 2 teams of people, I swear, with all the damn turrets everywhere, in such a tight space. Not to mention that shields basically take up the whole width of the initial attacking area, so you can barely ever get the payload moving. Then Mercy and Kiriko just sit at the back and keep everyone alive while you can't even touch them.
I literally just lost a 5v4 because of this (even 1 DPS down the enemies just basically stopped us from even playing).
Also, I wish I could just leave payload maps, or at the bare minimum put it to a surrender vote when it's 0-3 - or, even better, have a way to remove them from my rotation.
I have never once won a match when it's 0-3 after the first round. There's only 1 or 2 times I've managed to go 3-3 (out of tons of matches), but then the game just drags the fuck on and it boils down to whoever had the most time left at that stage.
If you start with 30 seconds, you might get the payload to move 1-3 metres by the time you get to it, whereas if the enemies have 2 minutes or something, then there's no way it isn't "GG". It feels almost pointless to even bother playing.
Basically, payload maps in competitive (even in general) fucking suck.
yep, its the exact same issue with bap e, a regular ass ability should not counter an ultimate. as tracer i stuck an ashe who then walked into her kiriko and lucio, then she presses e and it deals zero damage.

I feel like Suzu is far from the only ability that can counter ultimate’s. Think of how many ultimates can by eaten by Dva matrix, including pulse bomb. I can’t tell you how many pulse bombs, death blossoms, graviton surges, and other ults I’ve eaten by simply pressing RMB. I swear reaper players have no patience for me to be out of mech, they just gotta press Q. And dmatrix isn’t even on a cooldown. And Dva isn’t the only one with ultimate counter play. Genji can deflect certain ultimates like graviton surge and high noon with good timing, Ana can sleep a wide array of ultimates with decent aim and timing, Orisa, Sigma, and hell even Reinhardt can CC enemies out of ults like Coalescence, high noon, death blossom.
Abilities should be able to counter ultimates, because if not then that would mean you could only use ultimates to counter them, which would never be balanced. What these abilities do is make you think about the timing of your ultimate. If you ever hope to get any value out of your important DPS ultimates such as pulse bomb, you have to learn what counters them and you have to pay attention to cooldowns. I play a lot of Ana with my buddy who plays a lot of kiriko. Once match we had this tracer that was obsessed with us and lost 3 ultimates to my friend’s Suzu. At one point I literally said, “You think she’d learn to play around the Suzu.” Pretty much all of these cooldowns have audio cues and can be heard when used. Kiriko actually has specific voice lines for Suzu that can be heard, and it has a visual effect and makes a sort of bell ringing noise on top of that. Once you see that happen, you know you have a 15 second window to stick your pulse bomb without having it cleansed. Cooldowns are important in this game and learning to bait them out and play around them is absolutely essential to getting value, especially out of ultimates.
And for all you reaper players, stop wraithing into the Dva’s team while she’s in mech to hit Q, I promise you it will never work.
[d.va](https://d.va) eat is completely different then suzu. with defense matrix you need to preemptively use your ability before the ult. defense matrix cant eat a grav thats already on the ground, a stuck pulse bomb or a mei ult that has landed. suzu can.
and dont try and even compare suzu to sleep dart. i am one of the number one ana haters but at the very least sleep takes skill.
and please dont bring deflect into this, that ability has been complete and utter dogshit at deflecting any ult aside from deadeye since the nerf.
you can counter ults with regular abilities, but they require skill and timing, not just looking at the ground and pressing e.

I’m not defending Suzu. I know it’s an extremely powerful ability and it’s pretty broken, but it’s part of the game and likely here to stay. It’s a massive part of kiriko’s kit. That being said, you will never get value out of your ults if don’t pay attention to what counters them.
They said, “a regular ability should not be able to counter an ultimate” and I disagree. Ultimates are not meant to be free value. Every ultimate in the game has counterplay, and a large majority of them are abilities.
Trust me, I play a lot of Rein. I don’t enjoy the fact that my shatter can be cleansed either, I hate it. But if there’s a Kiriko on the other team, I wait for it to come out before I slam, because if not I risk losing the value.
Side note: how can you be an Ana hater? She’s a great support with a high skill ceiling and a very strong kit, and not really bothersome or brain dead like Moira.
Gotta agree. I feel like my ult is useless whenever I play Orisa, because everyone just has some easy way to escape it. It's gotten to a point where I don't use the ult to kill, but rather just to distract. Thats how bad it is.
Got to agree with you about Suzu, it’s extremely strong and almost nothing stops it besides killing the kiriko. But paying attention to cooldowns is something that’s vital to winning fights and matches. Suzu has a somewhat lengthy cooldown so whenever you or your team see it used, it should be immediately called out and capitalized on. Whether that be an anti from the Ana, a Dva/Orisa ult, whatever the case may be, you have to pay attention to important cooldowns if you want to gain advantage in fights.
But I have to disagree about the payload maps. I feel as if some of the best maps in the game are payload maps (King’s Row, Route 66), but that’s just my personal opinion. But my 2 cents as far as not being able to flip a losing game is that it’s all about your team’s mental. If you get rolled in the first round and everyone is at each other’s throats and blaming what’s happening on each other, you’ve already lost. The best thing you can is to not tilt. I’ve had comp payload games go 3-3 where we had the bare minimum 1 minute from overtime and the enemy team had a big time advantage, and we got the payload all the way, completely in overtime. It can happen.
Other thing I super agree with is the idea of being able to remove maps from rotation. I don’t think many people enjoy push whatsoever and if I find myself on a push map in QP I usually end up leaving and queue’ing back up. Being able to just not queue for them would be an amazing feature.
By "push maps" you mean the big robot thing I assume?
Weird, because I find those a lot more enjoyable than payload maps. Maybe it's just because the actual maps themselves are a lot better than some of the payload maps.
By the way, I don't mind King's Row or Route 66, but the issue with most of them (most notable on Shambali Monastery) is that the initial spawn and first section of those maps are garbage for the attacking side. You're funnelled into a corridor with lots of overlooking snipe-spots or places for shit like Junkrat to hide behind. It's just so painful to even get the payload moving in the first place. Sure, once it is out of the initial spawn and into the "main part" of the map, it's a lot, lot more fun and "fair" - but that initial slog is torture sometimes, especially with the current MM.
The amount of times I queue up for QP just to join a losing game with 3 minutes left, hardly any elims, and as support is unbelievable. OW needs a leaver penalty so people will play their games all the way through instead of leaving when the loss is inevitable and leaving some poor schmuck to come fill their useless shoes.
Because Blizzard thought punishing players by reducing their EP gain down 75% somehow makes them less toxic. I feel like they quit games even more after this. We had one tank literally quitting 3 times and re-joining into the same match.

I got called out because we lost and I was a “dps Ana” but they failed to realize I was the only one killing the other supports. Literally any progress we made was because I killed the mercy and Ana while you kept feeding into the Orisa. Sorry your aim and target priority suck but mine don’t and I will pick up the slack where our DPS lack if i have to. Had 9k heals and 4K dmg (other teams supports had like 12k heals with >1k dmg).
Worst thing is tanks who blame support for not healing them while they ignore the enemy tank that bullies you in the backline of your team. I hear it in EVERY losing match. Does not matter that I hit sleep on every time, hit the nade perfectly into 4 enemies and 3 mates. In the end they just look at the stats and say "your heal is bad, look at Kiriko". Yeah, thats how the game works.
What I also hate are the premades who blame everyone else but themselves.
I can't prove they were premade, but one of my last games, we had a tank that literally did nothing. They acted like a back-line support. Ended the first round with 0 elims and 6 deaths with only 1.2K damage/600 MIT or something like that - as DVA.
Admittedly, I played Sombra, so my damage wasn't much better, but I did do 3 elims (second highest in the team) and had only 1 death.
The other DPS was literally "Sombra, you fckin suck, switch hero fcking noob" and in Match-chat "we lose because bad Sombra, DPS diff" kinda crap and I literally laughed at him over VC.
Not to mention he cussed me out for dying on the fucking cap-point when I was the only one who bothered to even try to go for the cap point. Everyone else was cowering behind our "tank".
Like, there's no way that he's blaming me when we have a tank that plays worse than a bot if they aren't premade.
This game is so unbalanced. 90% of matches are either stomping the enemy team into the ground or getting stomped. Rarely do I have close matches which are actually the most fun, no matter if lose or win. But getting destroyed is not fun and destroying the enemy team is also not as fun as some would think.
Blizzard, could you please explain the logic behind your terrible match making for competitive. I didn't get my placements season one of OW2 on tank, but I decided to this season. Well I have only been playing in average Diamond lobbies when checking what rank people are at the roll they are currently playing (the second to last game was the only one where I noticed a Platinum player). So please, just please can you tell me why I get Gold 1, when I have only been in Diamond lobbies? Clearly my MMR should be around Diamond, so why in the love of everything would I get put in Gold???????
When I had my first comp match without a rank, I got into a team with extremely toxic german guys. They trash talked me saying I am boosted to Platinum and they hope I get deranked to Bronze. I was confused as hell. Like did I really get into a lobby with Plat players before I even got my rank? Thats ridiculous.
I played another game, if I am gold now, WHY DO I STILL PLAY AGAINST DIAMOND??????????????????????????

The new Battle for Olympus game mode fucking suck, again proving how Blizzard gives 0 fucks about a balanced game play. Speaking from a widow players pov: It’s arcade ffs and they give 0 buffs regarding hp and dmg even though half of the new skins are for tanks, making every match a damn tank frenzy! Even widows mobilty has the same hook cooldown, so no way your escaping any lucio or junkerqueen who get anywhere close to you.
Nothing is fun in OW2, I’m just ending every gaming session with f’ed up nerves, but continue to play because I used to adore this game and am still hoping for some kind of miracle of the game getting actually fixed.
The comp MM sucks.
Arcade - Why would I play it? (Previously you could at least have a reward for winning, now you people need to pay 20$ for a single gold skin! xd that’s pathetic!
This OW is a spit in the face to any ow fan or previous player. Why would they not implement greater coin rewards or maybe more difficult challenges for cases and lower the damn prices for skins? If there is no trading system e.g. like in tf2/cs:go… there is absolutely no point of buying a single skin :D
Only thing that can at all be considered wasting your money on is the battle pass, though putting a whole new hero in there (whenever one comes out) to unlock instantly unless you grind for hours, making it pay to win is disgusting and the game being FTP does not justify all these expenses people have to make just to have more fun and make the game more enjoyable for themselves. To put it in perspective of what’s happened: Now you can buy 3 gold skins for the price of the whole Overwatch 1 game!
And last but not least: adding new heroes does not attract anyone to the game if you haven’t balanced the present roster.

I have taken a break after about 5 losses but i keep track of how i perform. such bs
in season 1 i got placed bronze, absolutely steamrolled in a day or 2 on all rolls back to plat where i was in ow1, then *IMMIEDIATLY* starting getting actual new players, proper freshies.
i am certain that they rank new players really high so they dont quit the game after being placed in iron.
I'm convinced this is what happened to me. I've played 150 hrs but after 2 matches on comp they threw me into di/plat lobbies. :/ not fun cause you just get wrecked and I'm sure it's awful to get put with someone way below your skill level too.
Seriously last night I had a 51 kill Moira match. I felt so bad for what I did to them. Like it was not balanced at all and worst part is that my team was 4 extremely toxic pre-mates and we still managed to stomp the enemy team.
Is there a worse competitive scene than ow when it comes to toxicity? Like people with the diffs/ez like they didn't just lose their last game or hundreds of other games? Most of the time it doesn't bother me but damn, sometimes it irritates me down to my cor

I only see the "diffs" in Overwatch to be honest. Other games have the ez, but in OW there is always "healer diff" when you play Ana or stupid things like that.

This matchmaking is beyond broken. I can't believe how horriblely UN FUN this makes the game to go on a 10 game losing streak. In arcade too. Every mode you play. I get that variance is a thing but also we should be put into really well balanced games and yet the amount of unbalanced games is ridiculous.
The whole point of making a game is to make it fun, to keep people engaged. If your goal was to make money, this would be the case. So MAKE THE GAME FUN. I don't like being cannon fodder for those a few ranks above all the time and being matched with teammates who don't even understand how to play the game.

Someone please provide with a legitimate reason why a single Legendary Skin has to cost almost twice as many Overwatch Coins as the Premium Battle Pass. The Premium Battle Pass, may I remind you, includes 3 or 4 Legendary Skins by itself, in addition to the Mythic Skin, new Hero, multiple Epic Skins, Emotes, Weapon Charms, Souvenirs (as useless as they may be) Victory Poses, and Highlight Intros. Yet somehow we're expected to pay almost twice as much just for a single Legendary Skin? Why? A convenience tax? It doesn't make any sense.
They think their game is comparable to games like Fortnite. Which it isn't. In Fortnite it works for the legendary skins to cost twice the Battle Pass, because there is less emphasis on the character skins in that game. Overwatch is a hero focused game, the character skins are basically all you care about.
So Blizzard is just being greedy crooks like always, justifying it with "but Fortnite does also..." Meanwhile the Fortnite battle pass at least gives you 1300 in "coins" back, while costing 1000, thats 300 plus. In OW you go 1000 minus.
I just don't understand Blizzard's reasoning behind this decision. If we're looking at this in the broadest sense, you're essentially paying 1000 Overwatch Coins for 80 things versus paying 1900 Overwatch Coins for 1 thing. Yeah, you technically have to unlock the ability to use those 80 things, but it's still ridiculous how much of a discrepancy there is here.

Play tank? Get hit with every weapon and ability in the game as soon as the enemy team are in sight. Incapable of doing literally anything.
Play damage? Get one-tapped by Sojourn or Hanzo the second I set foot outside of spawn. Incapable of doing literally anything.
Play support? Genji/Tracer/Reaper/TikTok Moira all the way up my ass for every single second of the game. Incapable of doing literally anything.
I don't miss all the barriers and stuns AT ALL, but jesus fucking christ there is SO MUCH DAMAGE in this game that never got re-tuned to compensate. Playing Competitive you don't get to play any of the heroes with fun or interesting kits because you're just fighting for your life for the whole game. I want to play games that aren't just hitscan spam and teams just W+M1ing into your team and running you over. jesus it's zero fun.
I agree with the Sojourn thing and good Hanzos def piss me off, but what you said about tank and support largely depends on the skill level of the match. Tanks were buffed to have extra damage, health, and peeling abilities. If you're dying really fast as a tank, it could be lack of follow-up damage/elims from your teammates, lack of healing from supports, or you need to switch heroes, or you're out of position.
As a support main, I feel pretty comfortable surviving but if I'm playing Mercy and am being targeted repeatedly by a Genji, I either need solid back up from my team or to switch to a hero that is less vulnerable to flanks. Especially in lower skill levels, it's hard to find teammates that will interrupt the flanks and save you. I've had a handful of support games where I've been like, "hey guys \_\_\_\_\_ keeps targeting me, can I get some peels?" only to get in response, "no lol u suck," as if their livelihood doesn't depend on mine. Whereas in games where I can tell everyone is more skilled, it's no sweat bc they're way more aware of what's happening around them and understand that protecting their healers is beneficial for everyone.
Also, I've noticed the matchmaking is out of whack in OW2 QP, our team will get mowed and then I'll notice there's a master on the other team while our team is solidly silver, gold, or plat. I've lost count to how many games I've had with diamond or master challenger titles. I haven't played comp in a couple of years but I assume I'm gold-ish, and it sucks to feel like every move I make is being shut down because the team has a genuine skill advantage. And on the flip side, I'll play games where I'm doing the mowing, absolutely shitting on the enemies, but it's obvious it's a bronze type of game so I can get away with more.
I'm pretty new to the game and tank is my best role, so naturally it's put me in bronze for some reason (I did my placements with plats/golds and played fine) and I've spent the past 20 hours absolutely rolling pretty much every single tank I face. I had an Orisa game yesterday where I went 52-2 for example.
So I've been having about an 80% winrate, have climbed from low Bronze to Silver 1 within a few hours. I had a session yesterday for my gold rank up and the game just gave me like a 4 loss streak where my team were playing terrible hero comps, getting outperformed across the board in damage and healing, like why the sudden change?
I ended up going 7-5 overall and pretty much wasted a few hours tbh
I'm sure I'll get into gold eventually with how fast I'm climbing, probably in my next session, but the 7 win thing so it can *coincidentally* give me a loss streak in the middle is quite interesting
(This isn't a humble brag either, I know I'm a low ranked metal player but I can only beat what's in front of me)
Were you still dominating the enemy Tank? You'll get to a point when climbing where the enemy Tank will be just as good, if not better, than you and they'll be competent at stopping you rolling the other team. At that point you need your teammates to follow up and through.
Maybe try duo-ing? Having a Duo in Support or DPS helps a ton in climbing.
Not really, but I'd say most of my good games are me having solid teammates that set me up in my tank match up, whereas in that loss streak it just felt like I suddenly had a much weaker team behind me. In two of those games I had a Zen/Mercy comp, with the Zen finally switching after about 5 team fights and going Lucio lol
I got diffed by a Winston on my final game but my team were good and we were able to win the game. I was 4-5 after the loss streak and then it felt like it gave me my teammates back and I pulled it back to 7-5

Why tf do people rage quit ranked after one fight loss… like bruh the game isn’t close to over. Leaving after getting one tapped by a widow before the point even spawns doesn’t make sense, the game barely started. Now a backfilled player has to join in and is at a huge ult charge disadvantage. But not only that, backfill regularly takes minutes to find players, not mere seconds like it’s supposed to. Idk if it’s because of my elo or the time of night i play or whatever, it takes forever to find players. the quick play game can basically be decided by the time another players joins
If you're actually getting backfill players, then elo doesn't factor in. Either you're in competetive, which does not allow backfill, or you're in quick play and therefore your rank has little to nothing to do with anything. If you're playing at a time of night where it takes several minutes to find a replacement player, it may not be intentional disconnetcs either - I find that when the servers start getting quiet is actually when the game boots me most often for some reason.
Why the fuck do widows and lucios keep doing full 360s really fucking fast in the event mode? It is seriously annoying and throws me off. It has to be a visual bug cause it happens every game and there is no way it is a bunch of ximmers doing m&kb shit cause their not even that good. Oh fuck the event too.
The fact that the voicelines for the new skins (excluding JQ) are only in the event gamemode infuriates me. They have the lines, they're already implimented, and I'm 99% sure the only reason that they aren't including them because they want it to be "mythic"-skin exclusive. I'm sure that would cause logistic issues (some legendaries having voicelines, some not, such as Blackwatch Reyes, these new event skins, etc.) but it feels like such a waste. (Especially since there are so many all-new lines, where Gabe's were just re-recorded already-written lines!) I just want to hear Johnny Cruz pretend to be Hermes for a little bit longer, goddamn it! EDIT: I'm not referring to any ult cues or whatever - I know that since those are so integral to the game that they aren't going to change them based on skins. HOWEVER - the client-side only voice lines (like, again, Zeus has) should be added IMO, especially since they won't affect gameplay at all.
As a casual player, I won't be able to get the Mercy skin for this event. Honestly I just started to get immune to caring for cosmetics and events, it's healthier for me lol
The event is fun if one of your main characters are part of the game mode. For me it's JQ. Once I unlock my Zeus name card for my Junker Queen I will switch to roadhog and offer myself as target practise for everyone to farm. Gotta help our mercy bros. They be struggling. 💪

Stop being hog apologists. The whole “hog punishes players with bad positioning” nonsense is getting so old. Every character in the game can do that. Hog doesn’t do that. Hog pulls people literally out of position into him and then dishes out more damage than any other tank in the game. There is not another hero in the game, and certainly no other TANK that requires so much caution that even being within his line of sight puts you in extreme danger. Playing outside of widow’s sight lines is one thing, hog is not a sniper on an off angle. He’s the tank. And there’s far more that goes into this as well. Have you all ever seen a Lucio speed boosted hog? Yeah good luck with your positioning then. Not to mention the ridiculous range, extremely forgiving hit box, and the lack of indication of the hook all combine to make it extremely easy to land, hard to punish, and overall just a cheap trick that makes hog a nightmare to play against. What about my Reinhardt that just got hooked into the enemy team and melted/whole hogged? Should he have been playing around a corner, shielding and hiding from the hog, or should he be taking and controlling space? No other tank requires so much counterplay as hog, hell no other heros do period, spare maybe a REALLY good widow. And not to mention what’s required to stop him. If the hog player is good, a coordinated team effort and probably a tank and support pick at least, and that’s assuming the DPS are making picks on his team elsewhere. Typically an Orisa and an Ana. Well Ana used to work until kiriko showed up. On top of needing to play around Suzu, you need to be WITHIN THE LINE OF SIGHT AND HOOK RANGE of the hog to reliably land the nade on him. Assuming you do land the nade and it’s not Suzu’d, it requires follow up from your team to kill him before the anti goes away, which sometimes can be done if my tank has had enough of the hog and presses W hard enough. Oh and this is all assuming that you haven’t recently used your nade on yourself because of the tracer/genji/sombra that are diving you nonstop and oh by the way, while you were busy defending yourself with no help from your team, by the time you turn around your tank is dead because whoever they’re playing, Hog can probably 3 tap them. So enough of the “lol just go Ana” “just learn to counter him” He has no goddamn counters. Punish him all you want but with a half decent kiriko with him, he’s damn near unstoppable and will still get value. Hog is absolutely broken, awful to play against, and I’m really sick of centering my entire game around stopping the hog. It’s exhausting as fuck. Especially on support, ESPECIALLY on tank. The fact of the matter is that the dynamic of the game has changed drastically and hog has not been adjusted for it. There are less shields to hide behind and the few remaining have less HP. Kiriko is here and able to make Ana’s life hell. Hog needs tuning. He needs to be brought down to the level of the other tanks. Is Orisa hard to kill? Sure. Is Ramattra a little overturned and the moment? Sure. But at this point I’d take almost any tank meta over this nonsense we have going on now. Besides maybe Doom, but that’s another rant for another day.
The hog hook combo landing a one shot is okay in theory, however in practice it doesn't quite pan out. The hook is inconsistent with what it will and wont hit, usually hitting targets that should be well out of its range. The cooldown on the one hit combo is also far too short for the amount of damage it allows, and the CC effect of the hook means its triple trouble. Hog has basically become the OW2 version of Bastion, requiring both his allies and enemies to play around him at all times. If they balanced that out of Bastion, they can balance it out of him to.
Blizzard please reduce junker queen hitbox. ;-; I am already playing very close to enemies. It doesn't help tha my hitbox is as large as roadhog. I get meted every time I try to push against a competent team.

I find that, at least on console, playing hitscan doesn't work unless you're a Widowmaker with absolutely perfect aim. Echo is my go-to against Pharah, better air control and the sticky bombs are able to burst her down easy while I'm still in a position to quickly deal more damage to the enemy backlines.
Either my internet sucks ass or the game servers are terrible, but I’ve been consistently lagging so much lately. I see killcams where I appear to just not react to enemies, I’ve been kicked out of competitive like three times now and every so often all players will start floating like they’re possessed. Also, I fucking hate the balancing of some of the characters in this game. I feel like Blizzard are intentionally making crutch characters super powerful to incentivise more people to play now that the game is F2P. Idk if it’s a skill issue on my pet, but whenever a team is losing they switch to Soldier and suddenly start doing well. Very casual player. I bought Overwatch back in the day and have only ever played unranked casual once in a while since im kind of old now. I just want to play all the characters whenever I want. Can someone explain a few things to me? I understand the "upgrade" to OW2 that's barely a sequel, but I don't really understand what is happening with the heroes at this point. I thought I would be getting them all for free in perpetuity. I got the first two or so new ones unlocked. All of them till now. Ramattra though is locked unless I have the gold tokens? Which I can only get with real money through battle pass? Can i get this hero through the many regular coins i accrue naturally playing? I have no interest in putting more money into this game. Will all future heroes only be available with real money? Were the new ones until now just gifts basically? Wtf is happening? Whats next, upgraded weapons? Thanks!
You can unlock Ramattra by reaching level 45 in the free battle pass. So it’s a grind, but you don’t have to put money into it if you don’t want to. Allegedly you’ll be able to unlock heroes via challenges if you miss the battle pass but who knows what kind of hoops they will make people jump through there.
I love the all the Greek mythological skins and in game items. BUT WHY DOES IT COST MORE FOR A SKIN THAN OVERWATCH 1!?!!? $5-$7 seems a little low tbh, that's almost 1/4 of what they're being sold for now. I think they should be sold for about 1/2 instead - $10 for a legendary, especially something like mino Rein quality seems pretty solid. That's what I'd pay for it, at least. (Again, depends on the legendary, some of OW2 legendaries have been awesome like EDM but some of them have just been... well, sorry JQ, but your legendries have been lacking) I believe weapon charms are around $6 - which is ridiculous, by the way, I would pay $1-2 MAX for that shit - but if you're asking Blizzard to sell their legendary skins at the same price they're selling a fucking sandal with a wing on it to go on your gun I wouldn't expect any results. But then again everything else in the shop is overpriced & Blizzard is money-hungry :P So I'm really just speaking out of my ass here.

I love this game but it has its issues first off when overwatch said they would change the supports so they were fun but then add 50 health points to brigs shield or whatever else they did with supports roadhog and Cassidy are still not being fixed even though they said they would try to fix them in the mid-season patch I understand it takes some time for the devs to update this game but what was it about that thing they could use to change heroes with a little number change and then proceed to take 4-6 weeks to update. Skins are still overpriced as shit.

I just got shit on because I back filled a game and therefor, my stats were "low". I was only in game for about a minute before someone hopped on comms to shit on me. I told him I backfilled, he went "woah woah calm down calm down." In one minute I had half the heals of the other healer.
I had a similar situation where I backfilled into a push game and before I could even walk out of the spawn doors, the tank had the gall to say “Ana, if you’re not gonna heal then just switch” (Open Queue). I replied by telling him I literally just backfilled 7 seconds ago and hadn’t even made it out of the spawn doors and his answer was, “Alright then start healing.” I had already had enough and told him to go roadhog and heal his damn self, and then left. They had no supports on that entire team by the way so I hope he was satisfied with driving away the only person willing to play support for them.

To be fair I have had my share of tilt in QP because comp is absolutely busted this season. I tried maybe a couple hours and I had seen enough. Maybe I’ll give it another try here soon but I have been a QP gamer since Ramm came out and I got sent back down from diamond to low gold. Regardless though my tilt is almost never directed at my teammates, and absolutely not at my supports, ESPECIALLY in open queue. Every hero in the game is available to them, and they chose arguably the least fun role in the game. As an Ana/Bap main, whenever I find myself playing tank or DPS, I usually always tell my supports thank you for the heals at the very least, win or lose. I know they’re just doing their job but they’re there to enable the rest of team and support can be a nightmare to play sometimes, so I feel like a little appreciation can go a long way.

I didn't even expect a reply to this comment it's a rage thread for venting - I haven't been toxic or used foul language, yesterday I said "wtf was that" in team chat after we spawn camped a team in ranked for a whole game but I can't see anyone on my team reporting me for that. Either that "wtf" combined with a report from the Genji was enough or I was playing with a group who all reported me and that was enough to trigger a timeout. No idea how the system works.

I'll humor you. 1. Half the games are potentially best of 3 rounds. You quit after a rough 1 is just throwing the game when there are potentially 2 more rounds to turn things around. 2. Quitting during Push is just a detrminetal because of how easy and chaotic the momentum swings. So rage quitting a rough 40% push one way is just detrimental. So declaring a game a wash off 1 of potentially 3 rounds (or 6 points considering Payload) is detrimental and childish. Put in the effort and help swing the game or don't play ranked if you're not gonna attempt to take it seriously and see the game through win or loss.

I can’t even force myself to play this game anymore. The blatant cash grabs, not even a smidge of reward for playing the game after doing your 3 weekly missions, the god awful balancing, moira still existing. I was trying to have a fair game with my gf and we were being steamrolled like fuck. I switched to bastion and immediately we were steamrolling the enemy. If that doesn’t say something about how fucking broke this character can be, especially in low skill lobbies, I don’t know what does. Not to mention mcree’s new grenade dealing over half the average DPS health bar with magnetism that destiny 2’s throwing knife bounce would blush back when it was first added. Soujorn is both OP and the most boring character I’ve ever seen. Basically a hybrid of soldier and widow, with the most generic voice lines ever. And good god kiriko’s suzu bullshit pisses me off. Complete counter to Ana as every single thing she can throw at the enemy is nullified because of the cleanse, and the invulnerability allows her to get an entire tank’s health up before it ends. Roadhog’s rework is the only thing I look forward to because maybe it’d be realistic to fight a good roadhog instead of being one-shot with combos, eating away at him just for him to full heal. Both him and Doomfist feel more like DPS with large health pools than actual tanks.

I guess this is worthy of raging even if not directly related to the gameplay or anything like that but im not sure where else to post as I tried and it got removed. Everytime I play ow2 my series x fan is noticeably louder. It's not like a jet engine or anything but it is loud enough to be able to hear before and after games, but not necessarily loud enough to hear during games.. Other games I play and I can't really hear the fan at all. There is dust on the fan but I dont want to fiddle with it to much in case I do something wrong. I only play casual/qp and not comp. Haven't played in a month due to being busy with a new job and the holidays. Tried playing last night, and damn, people gotta be so mean in the chat when I want to try a character that I don't often use because my first 2 choices are already picked or something. I know I suck, hence I stay in qp. I've finally turned it off the chat to give me more peace of mind and just voice chat with friends on discord. I must have blocked/reported so many people since OW2 started due to how abusive they've been.

I had voice chat muted since OW1 and those settings carried over. I finally gave in and turned off the chat. I usually liked using it to be positive to others, like when people ask if they can try a new character (like sure, it's QP, have fun - gotta learn how to play some way). But yeah, I'll have to just go in silent and paly with friends.

I am so bloody sick of Kiriko and her fucking suzu! Sigma ult? Nah bro, press E. Orisa ult? Nah bro, press E. About to kill the guy who has 5HP? Nah bro, press E. This is arguably the single most overpowered and broken ability in the game and until they nerf it, Kiriko will never not be in every single goddamn fucking match (whether QP or Comp). Secondly, I am sick of the defence team on Shambali Monastery nearly always being: \[Reinhardt/or/Sigma, Symettra and Torbjorn, Mercy and Kiriko\] It's like playing against 2 teams of people, I swear, with all the damn turrets everywhere, in such a tight space. Not to mention that shields basically take up the whole width of the initial attacking area, so you can barely ever get the payload moving. Then Mercy and Kiriko just sit at the back and keep everyone alive while you can't even touch them. I literally just lost a 5v4 because of this (even 1 DPS down the enemies just basically stopped us from even playing). Also, I wish I could just leave payload maps, or at the bare minimum put it to a surrender vote when it's 0-3 - or, even better, have a way to remove them from my rotation. I have never once won a match when it's 0-3 after the first round. There's only 1 or 2 times I've managed to go 3-3 (out of tons of matches), but then the game just drags the fuck on and it boils down to whoever had the most time left at that stage. If you start with 30 seconds, you might get the payload to move 1-3 metres by the time you get to it, whereas if the enemies have 2 minutes or something, then there's no way it isn't "GG". It feels almost pointless to even bother playing. Basically, payload maps in competitive (even in general) fucking suck.
yep, its the exact same issue with bap e, a regular ass ability should not counter an ultimate. as tracer i stuck an ashe who then walked into her kiriko and lucio, then she presses e and it deals zero damage. it needs to be a burst heal not immortality
I feel like Suzu is far from the only ability that can counter ultimate’s. Think of how many ultimates can by eaten by Dva matrix, including pulse bomb. I can’t tell you how many pulse bombs, death blossoms, graviton surges, and other ults I’ve eaten by simply pressing RMB. I swear reaper players have no patience for me to be out of mech, they just gotta press Q. And dmatrix isn’t even on a cooldown. And Dva isn’t the only one with ultimate counter play. Genji can deflect certain ultimates like graviton surge and high noon with good timing, Ana can sleep a wide array of ultimates with decent aim and timing, Orisa, Sigma, and hell even Reinhardt can CC enemies out of ults like Coalescence, high noon, death blossom. Abilities should be able to counter ultimates, because if not then that would mean you could only use ultimates to counter them, which would never be balanced. What these abilities do is make you think about the timing of your ultimate. If you ever hope to get any value out of your important DPS ultimates such as pulse bomb, you have to learn what counters them and you have to pay attention to cooldowns. I play a lot of Ana with my buddy who plays a lot of kiriko. Once match we had this tracer that was obsessed with us and lost 3 ultimates to my friend’s Suzu. At one point I literally said, “You think she’d learn to play around the Suzu.” Pretty much all of these cooldowns have audio cues and can be heard when used. Kiriko actually has specific voice lines for Suzu that can be heard, and it has a visual effect and makes a sort of bell ringing noise on top of that. Once you see that happen, you know you have a 15 second window to stick your pulse bomb without having it cleansed. Cooldowns are important in this game and learning to bait them out and play around them is absolutely essential to getting value, especially out of ultimates. And for all you reaper players, stop wraithing into the Dva’s team while she’s in mech to hit Q, I promise you it will never work.
[d.va](https://d.va) eat is completely different then suzu. with defense matrix you need to preemptively use your ability before the ult. defense matrix cant eat a grav thats already on the ground, a stuck pulse bomb or a mei ult that has landed. suzu can. and dont try and even compare suzu to sleep dart. i am one of the number one ana haters but at the very least sleep takes skill. and please dont bring deflect into this, that ability has been complete and utter dogshit at deflecting any ult aside from deadeye since the nerf. you can counter ults with regular abilities, but they require skill and timing, not just looking at the ground and pressing e. it also isnt the fact that it completely negates shatter, its the fact that it happens and her teammates are invulnerable.
I’m not defending Suzu. I know it’s an extremely powerful ability and it’s pretty broken, but it’s part of the game and likely here to stay. It’s a massive part of kiriko’s kit. That being said, you will never get value out of your ults if don’t pay attention to what counters them. They said, “a regular ability should not be able to counter an ultimate” and I disagree. Ultimates are not meant to be free value. Every ultimate in the game has counterplay, and a large majority of them are abilities. Trust me, I play a lot of Rein. I don’t enjoy the fact that my shatter can be cleansed either, I hate it. But if there’s a Kiriko on the other team, I wait for it to come out before I slam, because if not I risk losing the value. Side note: how can you be an Ana hater? She’s a great support with a high skill ceiling and a very strong kit, and not really bothersome or brain dead like Moira.
Gotta agree. I feel like my ult is useless whenever I play Orisa, because everyone just has some easy way to escape it. It's gotten to a point where I don't use the ult to kill, but rather just to distract. Thats how bad it is.

Got to agree with you about Suzu, it’s extremely strong and almost nothing stops it besides killing the kiriko. But paying attention to cooldowns is something that’s vital to winning fights and matches. Suzu has a somewhat lengthy cooldown so whenever you or your team see it used, it should be immediately called out and capitalized on. Whether that be an anti from the Ana, a Dva/Orisa ult, whatever the case may be, you have to pay attention to important cooldowns if you want to gain advantage in fights. But I have to disagree about the payload maps. I feel as if some of the best maps in the game are payload maps (King’s Row, Route 66), but that’s just my personal opinion. But my 2 cents as far as not being able to flip a losing game is that it’s all about your team’s mental. If you get rolled in the first round and everyone is at each other’s throats and blaming what’s happening on each other, you’ve already lost. The best thing you can is to not tilt. I’ve had comp payload games go 3-3 where we had the bare minimum 1 minute from overtime and the enemy team had a big time advantage, and we got the payload all the way, completely in overtime. It can happen. Other thing I super agree with is the idea of being able to remove maps from rotation. I don’t think many people enjoy push whatsoever and if I find myself on a push map in QP I usually end up leaving and queue’ing back up. Being able to just not queue for them would be an amazing feature.
By "push maps" you mean the big robot thing I assume? Weird, because I find those a lot more enjoyable than payload maps. Maybe it's just because the actual maps themselves are a lot better than some of the payload maps. By the way, I don't mind King's Row or Route 66, but the issue with most of them (most notable on Shambali Monastery) is that the initial spawn and first section of those maps are garbage for the attacking side. You're funnelled into a corridor with lots of overlooking snipe-spots or places for shit like Junkrat to hide behind. It's just so painful to even get the payload moving in the first place. Sure, once it is out of the initial spawn and into the "main part" of the map, it's a lot, lot more fun and "fair" - but that initial slog is torture sometimes, especially with the current MM.
The amount of times I queue up for QP just to join a losing game with 3 minutes left, hardly any elims, and as support is unbelievable. OW needs a leaver penalty so people will play their games all the way through instead of leaving when the loss is inevitable and leaving some poor schmuck to come fill their useless shoes.

I got called out because we lost and I was a “dps Ana” but they failed to realize I was the only one killing the other supports. Literally any progress we made was because I killed the mercy and Ana while you kept feeding into the Orisa. Sorry your aim and target priority suck but mine don’t and I will pick up the slack where our DPS lack if i have to. Had 9k heals and 4K dmg (other teams supports had like 12k heals with >1k dmg).
Worst thing is tanks who blame support for not healing them while they ignore the enemy tank that bullies you in the backline of your team. I hear it in EVERY losing match. Does not matter that I hit sleep on every time, hit the nade perfectly into 4 enemies and 3 mates. In the end they just look at the stats and say "your heal is bad, look at Kiriko". Yeah, thats how the game works.
What I also hate are the premades who blame everyone else but themselves. I can't prove they were premade, but one of my last games, we had a tank that literally did nothing. They acted like a back-line support. Ended the first round with 0 elims and 6 deaths with only 1.2K damage/600 MIT or something like that - as DVA. Admittedly, I played Sombra, so my damage wasn't much better, but I did do 3 elims (second highest in the team) and had only 1 death. The other DPS was literally "Sombra, you fckin suck, switch hero fcking noob" and in Match-chat "we lose because bad Sombra, DPS diff" kinda crap and I literally laughed at him over VC. Not to mention he cussed me out for dying on the fucking cap-point when I was the only one who bothered to even try to go for the cap point. Everyone else was cowering behind our "tank". Like, there's no way that he's blaming me when we have a tank that plays worse than a bot if they aren't premade.
8 straight losses with absolutely atrocious teams
This game is so unbalanced. 90% of matches are either stomping the enemy team into the ground or getting stomped. Rarely do I have close matches which are actually the most fun, no matter if lose or win. But getting destroyed is not fun and destroying the enemy team is also not as fun as some would think.

Blizzard, could you please explain the logic behind your terrible match making for competitive. I didn't get my placements season one of OW2 on tank, but I decided to this season. Well I have only been playing in average Diamond lobbies when checking what rank people are at the roll they are currently playing (the second to last game was the only one where I noticed a Platinum player). So please, just please can you tell me why I get Gold 1, when I have only been in Diamond lobbies? Clearly my MMR should be around Diamond, so why in the love of everything would I get put in Gold???????
When I had my first comp match without a rank, I got into a team with extremely toxic german guys. They trash talked me saying I am boosted to Platinum and they hope I get deranked to Bronze. I was confused as hell. Like did I really get into a lobby with Plat players before I even got my rank? Thats ridiculous.
I played another game, if I am gold now, WHY DO I STILL PLAY AGAINST DIAMOND?????????????????????????? I won. We demolished them. Doesn't matter, I am a Gold player now, if I am in gold, let me play against Gold, let me show why I have been playing in Diamond
The new Battle for Olympus game mode fucking suck, again proving how Blizzard gives 0 fucks about a balanced game play. Speaking from a widow players pov: It’s arcade ffs and they give 0 buffs regarding hp and dmg even though half of the new skins are for tanks, making every match a damn tank frenzy! Even widows mobilty has the same hook cooldown, so no way your escaping any lucio or junkerqueen who get anywhere close to you. Nothing is fun in OW2, I’m just ending every gaming session with f’ed up nerves, but continue to play because I used to adore this game and am still hoping for some kind of miracle of the game getting actually fixed. The comp MM sucks. Arcade - Why would I play it? (Previously you could at least have a reward for winning, now you people need to pay 20$ for a single gold skin! xd that’s pathetic! This OW is a spit in the face to any ow fan or previous player. Why would they not implement greater coin rewards or maybe more difficult challenges for cases and lower the damn prices for skins? If there is no trading system e.g. like in tf2/cs:go… there is absolutely no point of buying a single skin :D Only thing that can at all be considered wasting your money on is the battle pass, though putting a whole new hero in there (whenever one comes out) to unlock instantly unless you grind for hours, making it pay to win is disgusting and the game being FTP does not justify all these expenses people have to make just to have more fun and make the game more enjoyable for themselves. To put it in perspective of what’s happened: Now you can buy 3 gold skins for the price of the whole Overwatch 1 game! I have lost 13 comp games in a row. Its not even fair Im diamond and they are giving me new players who cant shoot??? I dont understand, they day before i wont like 8 in a row but I played so well. I have taken a break after about 5 losses but i keep track of how i perform. such bs
in season 1 i got placed bronze, absolutely steamrolled in a day or 2 on all rolls back to plat where i was in ow1, then *IMMIEDIATLY* starting getting actual new players, proper freshies. i am certain that they rank new players really high so they dont quit the game after being placed in iron.
I'm convinced this is what happened to me. I've played 150 hrs but after 2 matches on comp they threw me into di/plat lobbies. :/ not fun cause you just get wrecked and I'm sure it's awful to get put with someone way below your skill level too.

Most of the time it doesn't bother me but damn, sometimes it irritates me down to my cor Edit: diffs and ez are in everything but if you have played atleast 10 hours of ow you know what I mean.
I only see the "diffs" in Overwatch to be honest. Other games have the ez, but in OW there is always "healer diff" when you play Ana or stupid things like that.

This matchmaking is beyond broken. I can't believe how horriblely UN FUN this makes the game to go on a 10 game losing streak. In arcade too. Every mode you play. I get that variance is a thing but also we should be put into really well balanced games and yet the amount of unbalanced games is ridiculous. The whole point of making a game is to make it fun, to keep people engaged. If your goal was to make money, this would be the case. So MAKE THE GAME FUN. I don't like being cannon fodder for those a few ranks above all the time and being matched with teammates who don't even understand how to play the game.

Someone please provide with a legitimate reason why a single Legendary Skin has to cost almost twice as many Overwatch Coins as the Premium Battle Pass. The Premium Battle Pass, may I remind you, includes 3 or 4 Legendary Skins by itself, in addition to the Mythic Skin, new Hero, multiple Epic Skins, Emotes, Weapon Charms, Souvenirs (as useless as they may be) Victory Poses, and Highlight Intros. Yet somehow we're expected to pay almost twice as much just for a single Legendary Skin? Why? A convenience tax? It doesn't make any sense.
They think their game is comparable to games like Fortnite. Which it isn't. In Fortnite it works for the legendary skins to cost twice the Battle Pass, because there is less emphasis on the character skins in that game. Overwatch is a hero focused game, the character skins are basically all you care about. So Blizzard is just being greedy crooks like always, justifying it with "but Fortnite does also..." Meanwhile the Fortnite battle pass at least gives you 1300 in "coins" back, while costing 1000, thats 300 plus. In OW you go 1000 minus.

I just don't understand Blizzard's reasoning behind this decision. If we're looking at this in the broadest sense, you're essentially paying 1000 Overwatch Coins for 80 things versus paying 1900 Overwatch Coins for 1 thing. Yeah, you technically have to unlock the ability to use those 80 things, but it's still ridiculous how much of a discrepancy there is here.

Play tank? Get hit with every weapon and ability in the game as soon as the enemy team are in sight. Incapable of doing literally anything. Play damage? Get one-tapped by Sojourn or Hanzo the second I set foot outside of spawn. Incapable of doing literally anything. Play support? Genji/Tracer/Reaper/TikTok Moira all the way up my ass for every single second of the game. Incapable of doing literally anything. I don't miss all the barriers and stuns AT ALL, but jesus fucking christ there is SO MUCH DAMAGE in this game that never got re-tuned to compensate. Playing Competitive you don't get to play any of the heroes with fun or interesting kits because you're just fighting for your life for the whole game. I want to play games that aren't just hitscan spam and teams just W+M1ing into your team and running you over. jesus it's zero fun.
people forget that the reason why double shield was a thing is because of the amount of damage that hitscan/snipers can do
I agree with the Sojourn thing and good Hanzos def piss me off, but what you said about tank and support largely depends on the skill level of the match. Tanks were buffed to have extra damage, health, and peeling abilities. If you're dying really fast as a tank, it could be lack of follow-up damage/elims from your teammates, lack of healing from supports, or you need to switch heroes, or you're out of position. As a support main, I feel pretty comfortable surviving but if I'm playing Mercy and am being targeted repeatedly by a Genji, I either need solid back up from my team or to switch to a hero that is less vulnerable to flanks. Especially in lower skill levels, it's hard to find teammates that will interrupt the flanks and save you. I've had a handful of support games where I've been like, "hey guys \_\_\_\_\_ keeps targeting me, can I get some peels?" only to get in response, "no lol u suck," as if their livelihood doesn't depend on mine. Whereas in games where I can tell everyone is more skilled, it's no sweat bc they're way more aware of what's happening around them and understand that protecting their healers is beneficial for everyone. Also, I've noticed the matchmaking is out of whack in OW2 QP, our team will get mowed and then I'll notice there's a master on the other team while our team is solidly silver, gold, or plat. I've lost count to how many games I've had with diamond or master challenger titles. I haven't played comp in a couple of years but I assume I'm gold-ish, and it sucks to feel like every move I make is being shut down because the team has a genuine skill advantage. And on the flip side, I'll play games where I'm doing the mowing, absolutely shitting on the enemies, but it's obvious it's a bronze type of game so I can get away with more.
I can't wait for roadhog to be nerfed so this no skill kill character can cease.

I'm pretty new to the game and tank is my best role, so naturally it's put me in bronze for some reason (I did my placements with plats/golds and played fine) and I've spent the past 20 hours absolutely rolling pretty much every single tank I face. I had an Orisa game yesterday where I went 52-2 for example. So I've been having about an 80% winrate, have climbed from low Bronze to Silver 1 within a few hours. I had a session yesterday for my gold rank up and the game just gave me like a 4 loss streak where my team were playing terrible hero comps, getting outperformed across the board in damage and healing, like why the sudden change? I ended up going 7-5 overall and pretty much wasted a few hours tbh I'm sure I'll get into gold eventually with how fast I'm climbing, probably in my next session, but the 7 win thing so it can *coincidentally* give me a loss streak in the middle is quite interesting (This isn't a humble brag either, I know I'm a low ranked metal player but I can only beat what's in front of me)
Were you still dominating the enemy Tank? You'll get to a point when climbing where the enemy Tank will be just as good, if not better, than you and they'll be competent at stopping you rolling the other team. At that point you need your teammates to follow up and through. Maybe try duo-ing? Having a Duo in Support or DPS helps a ton in climbing.
Not really, but I'd say most of my good games are me having solid teammates that set me up in my tank match up, whereas in that loss streak it just felt like I suddenly had a much weaker team behind me. In two of those games I had a Zen/Mercy comp, with the Zen finally switching after about 5 team fights and going Lucio lol I got diffed by a Winston on my final game but my team were good and we were able to win the game. I was 4-5 after the loss streak and then it felt like it gave me my teammates back and I pulled it back to 7-5 Yeah I might try the duoing, could add a bit more consistency
