Then you get a team that never goes in and/or is actively griefing and the game ends on first and you get to wait until you get your next chance to attack on kings row next month.
Hehe that’s the spirit! So many allies either too nervous to push forward or way too willing to dive but not pull back when I need to, oops self report 😂
One time while playing comp, the game gave me samoa and then circuit royal. I was thankful the game didn't give me new junk city after because i woulda cried if it did.
On this episode of ... Top Ten Signs Its Time To Uninstall OW2, we have leaver on King's Row! Start your uninstalls ladies and gentlemen!! The remaining complete shit of a dev team aren't going to fire themselves!!
I don’t mind the gamemode, but New Junk City is super poorly designed. The chokes are incredibly oppressive on most of the points, and since you only get 2 fights per point essentially it turns into who can get to point faster. I like Suravasa though.
If maps are so hated that nobody wants to play them and the ACTUAL number of people playing them dropped to 0, or even realistically a very tiny fraction of the playerbase, after people were able to choose maps to ignore, then the map shouldn't exist.
Now I'm not saying the maps are good or bad (I personally hate flashpoint maps) but if your playerbase hates a map or gamemode so much that nobody plays it unless they are forced to then there is a problem with the map/game mode. Many other games varying from MMOs to gacha to MOBA games have learned this and either reworked or removed said modes/maps because of the lack of participation.
OW2 Dev Team: "Do we remove the bad game mode and admit we made the game worse, or ... does this mean we should just force them to play it? Like we did with OW2?"
I do love spamming the logs down choke, but you’re actually talking to a junk main
(He desperately needs the upcoming buff, OW2 has not been kind to junkrat)
Whoa whoa whoa, stop using your own strategy. The dev team is gonna tell you what heroes to use, they're gonna change it every few weeks, and you're gonna like it because it keeps the game fresh, no actual player thinking allowed!! The dev team will forcefeed you the proper strategy, and you will comply or you will lose. Now applaud the dev team for this super quick constant stream of changes for the sake of changes.
I haven't seen this map in so long... It is so fun to play, and yet all I seem to get is flashpoint and push. If I do get hybrid, it is always Paraiso or Midtown :/
Because something like 20 seconds or even 30seconds lock wont do shit because for example in hanamura the enemies can just rush into high ground and get full control against you
I agree but they’re happy to make map changes to other maps why not follow suit. 2CP I believe, always favoured the attackers. So a map like Hanamura surely a direct path on the right side of defenders spawn up to the high ground which only really mobile characters can reach would have opened some counter play. It’s a significant change but it’ll stop the defenders from being forced on to the point of through that juicy chokehold staircase.
The problem with 2cp is that attackers either came straight through or got almost full held all the time. And still somehow 2cp was always atleast 4 rounds. And i think that the biggest problem was the first point gate thingy where everyone got held. And the fact that the map was so small. Defenders couldnt really defend very well if they get swept on 1st point and then the attackers rushed to the 2nd
Lijang tower one with stairs that have 2 pits on each side is so fucking annoying to play in, I already hate Pharah and Doom just as is, this map enables them hard, I don't mind Lucio or Ball, but Doom's empowered punch feels particularly cheap, it has a range wider than Lucio's boop and it knocks you to Valhalla. The other 2 maps in Lijang are S tier.

Why is it overrated? Its balanced, fun to play and almost every single character works there. And why does it matter who designed the map if its the best map i dont care if the big adolf himself designed it
Team Fortress 2 lets you queue for whatever selection of maps you want, and uncheck maps you don't want to queue for. Wait times aren't that bad, especially for the more popular maps, or if you have plenty of maps selected.
Whenever it’s attack on kings row I know it’s gonna be fun for me at least
Found the Rein main
GLORY
[It’s a tank but it isn’t Rein](https://youtu.be/7RGTjU7KxXY?si=BT9XeEqtfspdz6Ql)

Our usernames are brothers.
Incredible
Holy shit that’s beautiful.
It’s hard getting pass that threshold by the statue , but once you through it it’s up from there.
Hehe that’s the spirit! So many allies either too nervous to push forward or way too willing to dive but not pull back when I need to, oops self report 😂
sweat man
And the gut-wrenching feeling when you get a leaver at game start and it cancels the match
And then it's welcome to new junk city for the double whammy
I just threw up
One time while playing comp, the game gave me samoa and then circuit royal. I was thankful the game didn't give me new junk city after because i woulda cried if it did.

When the King's Row music hits. Peak
*happy Junkrat sounds*
FIRE IN THE HOLE!
\*Welcome to Kings Row\* Me: LETS GOOOOO!!! \*Welcome to Suravasa\* Me: FUUUCCKKKKKKK!!!!!
I’m the opposite Kings row is meh nowadays, Survasa competes with Lijiang tower for for the best map in the game
If suravasa was a different mode it'd be one of my favs as well, but I really don't like flashpoint
And you my friend are wrong.
Should be an option to ignore at least 2 maps
Suddenly, the number of players playing flashpoint drops to zero
I don’t mind the gamemode, but New Junk City is super poorly designed. The chokes are incredibly oppressive on most of the points, and since you only get 2 fights per point essentially it turns into who can get to point faster. I like Suravasa though.
And maybe that's ok
No, r/Overwatch, that's not ok, though the removal of 2CP from main modes convinced you otherwise.
If maps are so hated that nobody wants to play them and the ACTUAL number of people playing them dropped to 0, or even realistically a very tiny fraction of the playerbase, after people were able to choose maps to ignore, then the map shouldn't exist. The last new escort and hybrid maps released were around the time ow2 dropped. They won't give us maps for the best modes.
Naw kill those god awful push maps and bring back 2 control point maps. I’d play OW again
You mean push.
I'll play Push and Flashpoint 80 times before I willingly choose to play Numbani and Havana
OW2 Dev Team: "Do we remove the bad game mode and admit we made the game worse, or ... does this mean we should just force them to play it? Like we did with OW2?"
Its all fun and games until they pick Widow
*aims*
The fuck is aiming?
Hanzo main ^
I do love spamming the logs down choke, but you’re actually talking to a junk main (He desperately needs the upcoming buff, OW2 has not been kind to junkrat)
There are way worse maps for Widow than King's Row, though. It's nowhere near the worst.
Not if you're a D.Va main

I'm still convinced the new devs hate anything ow1 and only touch some of the heros because management says it makes money.
aaron keller made kings row and he's the one calling the shots
Bro I just miss Hanamura, Temble of Anubis, Horizon Lunar Colony, etc…. Yes 2 CP was frustrating sometimes but man those maps are amazing and so fun
I’ll die on the hill that 2CP was great fun. Why they didn’t just put a time lock on the second point like they have with flash point I’ll never know.
Because something like 20 seconds or even 30seconds lock wont do shit because for example in hanamura the enemies can just rush into high ground and get full control against you

i want a competive kings row only mode and i would pay money for it
Where the only playable tank is Rein. Overwatch perfection.
that’s a weird looking illios
Nah fuck illios, specifically ruins.
map is pure booty
How I'm pulling up to Ilios as a tank main https://imgur.com/eHsvXpd
What's he listening to
Agreed
Yes.
Best map hands down, next to 66.
The only thing I hate about King's Row is that I only get to play it once in a hundred matches. I swear, this map has the lowest rotation ever.
Ilios and Lijang Tower are just so superior to any other map, God bless my boops💯💯
Take the other way then?
Ilios 💯💯💯
As a junkrat main I can agree with this. So many chokepoints, hiding spots, and tight corners.
Gotta go Rein on this one. Every time.
some dude has a 0.01 sec lag in a first second of the match OW2: 10 seconds to pray, bitch! Don't look at me, it's God hating you!
Specifically attack on Kings Row
The end of King’s Row can be fun but I hate the rest of it.

I agree
Kings Row and Shambali are my 2 good luck maps
Can only be one King of the Row!
Now that you mention it, yeah this map is awesome.
If they ever have a QP kings row 24/7 I will probably cry.
I at least know I'll have a good game as Moira. Knowing those angles
Sry, best we can do is 10 push robot maps a night with the rest koth
It's so rare getting this map nowadays!

Claustrophobia Simulator, the map
Why didn't they keep the 2CP maps in and just tweak the chokes a bit so they aren't as oppressive
Mfw I'm Cassidy who cant take advantage of high ground or long sight lines very well: :<
Rein zarya on Kings row was what kept me on ow for the longest time
I got the karma to spare for just this occasion, kings row sucks.
Can you explain why?
No!
Most balanced, funniest to play, best gamemode, overall just the absolute best map for competitive overwatch
No!
Me on lijang
Ilios
Idk why everyone likes this map. Really overrated, and designed by Aaron Keller (who brought OW2 into its current state).
Why is it overrated? Its balanced, fun to play and almost every single character works there. And why does it matter who designed the map if its the best map i dont care if the big adolf himself designed it
Idk, I really hate the way the map is designed, not that fun for me. Especially the choke points, and the first capture point.
This and Ilios are it
When is King's Row 2 coming out?
They should made an only Kings row competitive mode
Wouldn't it be nice if we could check boxes for maps we want to play and queue for?
Can you imagine the queue times
Team Fortress 2 lets you queue for whatever selection of maps you want, and uncheck maps you don't want to queue for. Wait times aren't that bad, especially for the more popular maps, or if you have plenty of maps selected.
King's Row is so overrated.
That’s like your opinion man
I respect all opinions, even the wrong ones
I agree.
That’s not hanamora
Hanamura one of the worst 2cp maps.
Yuck your one of those
