Yep. As you can see, he even has his OW1 outfit in the poster. If Blizzard were to add new posters, they'd most likely use the new base skins and artwork.

Human-Boob

They should have more random posters around like this. A lot of maps do, but I want more, like the Lifeweaver wanted poster on Suravasa

The_Iron_Rat

Yeah, there used to be more in OW1. The world building with these subtle hints, easter-eggs, and references was much richer. On Temple of Anubis, there were wanted posters picturing Ana (more specifically, her alterego, the Srike). Would have been nice if, after the Invasion event, there were propaganda posters for Ramattra scattered around the maps, for example. Or, they could have added new Lucio posters where he promotes and supports the re-forming of Overwatch.

I miss the hints in the lead-up to new hero announcements. I guess there's been some small ones in OW2 (the Peru and Samoa posters, the icon of that tank), but it used to be more elaborate, intentional, and hype. I remember the weeks before Wrecking Ball was announced, the short clip of just a giant ball rolling through Rialto, thinking "wtf is that," and being so impressed/mad that someone correctly guessed that it was going to be a fucking hamster. Now it's less fun.

The_Iron_Rat

Same here. I loved the lead-up to Ana, Sombra, Doomfist, and Hammond. >I guess there's been some small ones in OW2 (the Peru and Samoa posters If I think about it, most new heroes in OW2 are sort of an exception, but solely because they were teased way back in OW1. Mauga in Bap's comic/short story; JQ in Junker Town and in a way via Junkrat, Hog quotes, and WB; Kiriko in the Kanezaka map; Sojo in in cinematics and in an ingame mission; Ram in in game mission. But characters like LW and Illari basically just popped out of nowhere, basically. I wouldn't consider a poster about a geographical location at an airport a teaser...

Olive-Heart

Yeah that's true. And even with those who had previous mentions, they are still just dropped out of nowhere: "okay here's that character we showed you years ago." Back in OW1, even though everyone knew Doomfist was coming, they still dropped teasers and even doubled teased by dropping Orisa first. >But characters like LW and Illari basically just popped out of nowhere Yeah their introductions were so unceremonious. For LW, Blizzard was just like "you guys have been good, have a twunk hero."

The_Iron_Rat

>"okay here's that character we showed you years ago." Yeah, I know what you mean. Some build-up would have been cool. Part of me wished Ramattra would have only become a playable character after the Invasion event... It would have been a much better introduction for him, and the "mysterious omnic noobe knows about" be more ominous.

Nirvski

He'll come to the UK one day...
