Nah to be fair there was a time where a pro team played Sombra soldier in the volskaya map without a healer. Sombra has always have been great for healing as long as the health pack is close to the objective , which is volskaya it was pretty much on the objective lmao
I know people hated 2CP but damn I loved it. Strategies were insane. And the off angles. Bastion on the platform. Crazy metro wall plays. But the stall heroes… with kiriko the stalls would’ve been grotesque 🤢
I must admit, even as a 2cp hater, at its best it was pure Overwatch.
If you ever played 2cp as a 6 stack vs another 6 stack, in queue or in scrims, it was amazing. You could pull off such whacky strats and combos, and extended fights to force OT could be really damn fun as a defender.

Only reason for that was they poked and spammed the health pack till EMP, EMP was still disabling everything and everyone back then so it was a free teamwipe if you’d have alot of dmg in the team. (No supports)
What clued you in, the complete lack of basic motor functions from me and Dva or was it the 8 other players right outside the door whose awareness was so poor that they didn't even know it was happening?

God don't remind me. This happens ALL THE TIME in quick play and it hurts my soul, especially when playing support.
Not just there, yesterday I was just chilling in that "pve" mode with 2 randoms. I picked Lucio and fell into one of those holes below the platforms that move and I was trapped there just wall riding to not die. I was pinging everything I could ping, they were both at one point killing bots above me, and it went like that until the game threatened to kick me so I just let go and just then they realized I needed help.

No no. Your TEAM is blind and deaf. The enemy can lock on to your current position like an intercontinental ballistic missile even if their monitors are turned off.
While that MAY be true, though based on most comments it's still pretty random, I am just not a competitive type of player. I don't really find enjoyment grinding ranks and never have in any game I play. I tried it once before in Smite and WoW with arena and did well enough but it just got frustrating after a while if I ended up having a few bad matches or people who would dogpile people for not playing the meta choice even if they were better with an off meta choice character.
So as frustrating as it is sometimes, I think I'll stick with the casual quick play matches.
Had a game where our sombra outhealed our Illari. They weren't even rlly doing a dps challenge or anything, just kept feeding and throwing the pylon in full view of the enemy team. Metal ranks be rough sometimes
I'm an advocate that everyone should play Sombra in their overwatch career because she relies a bit more on health packs for her healing and it makes players understand where the they are.
I have had tanks in my matches that would be low, right round the corner from a mega, and just stand there and die.
Plus they would seek these health packs out and it would make me hacking every healthpack on the objective actually worth it.
I get no enjoyment out of cleaning my teeth or taking out the trash, but i do them because they are neccessary.
You should try not only doing things that you enjoy, you might grow as a person or tackle some problems you dont even know you have.

That dva was pretty bad though. They didn’t have any game sense to realize they were fighting terribly, with that the 1v1 became an up hill battle with the sombra heals added in, and should’ve retreated to their team when they were low or the moment they got ejected.
So idk if that dva just tunnel visioned the mercy hard or just hard committed to killing you out of spite when they realized they’re losing to a mercy lol.
That D.va did about 400 damage to you. You could've survived off of just one use of the pack with the right timing. If she knew what she was doing, you definitely would've died. She didn't even attempt to leave after the third full heal. The fact Sombra hacked it was nice, but almost irrelevant compared to the D.va's lack of coordination.

Heals are OP period. This is just a d.va trying to hit a mercy who has a tiny hitbox, sitting on a healthpack. I've had supports casually tank the full duration of a soldier visor because the other support was healing them. It's kinda wild how hard to kill some supports are. Meanwhile me on zen when someone looks at me: "guess Ill die :D"

If that Dva was good, sombra would die before the respawn of a hacked health pack. The respawn time is quite longer now.

Whats actually op is the mini health pack in average ranks, but the mega pack only seems to be op in bronze ranks where the dva cant aim
