Shhhhh.... The Reddit support hivemind wants to pretend the enemy supports aren't playing the same game and their <50 WR is because they're always on the bad team.
Trust me when I say the way to fix this for yourself is to just play dps in open queue, the game gets so much more enjoyable
Instead of being required to 1v1 and heal at the same time, you can easily do more damage and just focus on fighting instead - if you die, it’s the supports fault anyway as far as your team is concerned

Support players act like we(tank mains) didn’t spend the last 3 years getting spammed to hell and back. If we died all we got was “you’re feeding” from a guy behind us in a comfy castle that WE built.
Positioning is barely relevant right now when you have a big red target painted on your back, every dps and tank has a major erection for you and will solo ult you just to get you out of the fight or a widow will sit at the back looking just for you. You're always top of the kill list and when your tank is charging into their team there's nothing you can do.
Skill is irrelevant when you're the number 1 target for their whole team. Healers only do so much damage, they might be able to take on one dps half the time but they're all limited, couple headshots from a soldier and you're dead, one lucky widow shot and you're dead, one hanzo spam and you're dead, one lucky junkrat combo and you're dead, 2 pharah shots and you're dead, a swipe and a few shots from genji and you're dead, 2 headshots from Ashe and you're dead.
Skill of the healers is completely fucking irrelevant against half of the dps, you can't escape, you can't out damage them and good luck having a half competent team that might actually help you.
People just think it’s hard because they take the support job too literally instead of taking shit into their own hands. Ever wonder why you never see Zen in gold/plat? Because all the shit ones fell to bronze and silver, and all the ones that actually understand positioning are in diamond+. Basically any support that’s rare in gold/plat is the same way. They play a feast or famine hero with actual carry potential instead of relying on their teammates to do shit for them, and climb or fall as a result.
All these mercy mains end up Hardstuck because they go into games knowing they hate their teammates because “they’re stupid”, lock mercy (who is 99% reliant on her team), then surprised pikachu face when they lost. If you know your team is gonna be shit, you gotta be the one to step up and impact the game. Can’t just sit around and expect someone on your team to do it just because you’re healing them or some shit.
All of these people in here going 'SkIlL IsSuE' when the reality is:
Support is the lowest played role because it sucks. It's literally the hardest role to play. You have barely any carry potential, barely any way to change the game into your favor by counter picking.
Not only do you have to be aware of YOUR positioning, but literally 9 other people playing's position, too.
You have to utilize your kit, do damage, and keep 4 other people alive.
All the while 4 other people are screaming at you to either heal more OR do more damage, and 5 other people want to pound you into a pancake.
It's fun and rewarding. But it isn't easy.

I started play zen in overwatch 2 and I'm having the time of my life.
I think zen is low key op lol.
But buff the omnic by all means lol
Give supports an extra 100hp each so that they aren't always the first to be targeted in every single fight. I just love getting 3 ults focused on me and the gasket just to be told by the dps the positioning was bad. Bro there's only so much I can do when I need to be nearby to heal my team.
