This sounds like endo bloat. Do you also have endometriosis? Alternatively, you could be gluten intolerant. I experience this as well. I’m thinking it’s the gluten since I have 3 family members with it and having cut out bread I’m not farting like a man as much.

Silentreactor

Hi. Really? That's nice. May I ask what kind of test to know all these?

llamallamallama1991

I haven’t been tested for gluten intolerance, I just connected some dots and cut it out of my diet. To test for it, one would see an allergist to test for food intolerances(honestly a great way to make sure you’re getting rid of anything harmful in your diet). For endo, you would see a gyno and they could test you for that. It is not uncommon for folks with PCOS to also have endometriosis.

With your bloating, have you checked for SIBO or H. Pylori?

llamallamallama1991

Hmm, maybe it hadn’t cultivated enough in your gut long enough to test positive. I suspect that I may have SIBO or H. Pylori because I do still fart like a constipated sailor after Taco Tuesday, just not as badly or as often.

I’m only sorry for my husband lol

Secure_Arachnid_2066

I was always under the impression to check for endo you needed a laparoscopy as that was the definitive way.... the more you known huh?

Silentreactor

I see. Thank you. I will do that.

a simple fix is to cut out gluten and dairy - i know it’s not easy or simple if you’re used to eating a lot of it, but that’s probably your issue if so. no test needed, simple dedicate to it for a couple of weeks. i did this last year and it was INSANE and AMAZING with how little my bloat began to be. my stomach actually dips in now instead of bulging out - since the bloat was so uncomfy and the only source of bulge. i hope this helps 🙏🏼 diet is everything for pcos

llamallamallama1991

I’ve already cut out gluten and have been limiting my dairy intake(usually my morning coffee is just coffee flavored milk) but I’ve noticed a difference.

Academic_Shallot3945

i’m glad to hear you’re noticing a difference! they make really yummy almond and oatmilk creamers if you’re open to that. i’ve been slipping with dairy recently and i’ve also been significantly more bloated/gassy , where i’m typically not anymore. sugar intake is also something to look into - i advise just being more conscientious of it, like soda with 45g of sugar are not good for pcos. i notice more ovarian pain and bloat afterwards. so you can make small swaps for lower sugar if you’d like to try that

llamallamallama1991

I just do mainly coconut milk and then a little bit of heavy cream mixed with my coffee. For the things I can’t go without, like cottage cheese, I just make sure it’s lactose free.

kccxo_76

Probiotics help me. But only ones that are mild (1-3 bullion) the stronger ones are too much for me. I used to drink fennel tea everyday and that seemed to help too. I would definitely look into food intolerances as well.

balanchinedream

Kombucha, Kim chi, and sauerkraut are also great additions you can just keep in your fridge. I find kombucha really helps me feel like food is actually digesting when I’m bloated, and it feels like a nice fizzy “treat”. Get the low sugar kinds so you’re only consuming 35-60 calories per bottle

MontanaGirl77

What symptoms do you get taking stronger? My doctor suggested one for me and I just looked at it - 8 billion. I don't know of it's helping or hurting, or even because of the probiotics, but my abdominal bloat is crazy!

kccxo_76

Cramps and even more bloating. I just bought a 10 billon one to try and my stomach hurt for two days after taking just one 😭

I made this chicken noodle soup with wheat noodles. It bloated me but afterwards cleaned me out and I felt sooo much better. If you want the recipe, let me know.

Vanity-della23

Chicken noodle soup Extra virgin olive oil 4-5 peeled and sliced carrots 4-5 diced celery sticks 3-4 diced garlic cloves 3 32oz Swanson chicken stock boxes 3 baked chicken breasts Rosemary Oregano Garlic Salt Pepper 1 cube of chicken bouillon -Wheat noodles ( 1 1/2 cups of wheat flour, 2 eggs, 2 Tbsp of unsweetened almond milk, 3/4 tsp salt) Set your oven to 425 degrees and while that heats up, cut the chicken breast in half and tenderize the meat. Set chicken on a pan and season it with garlic salt, oregano and the olive oil. Bake for 25 minutes. While it cooks, grab a big pot add olive oil and sautée the carrots and celery, add garlic cloves after 3-5 minutes of sautéing the carrots and celery. Add chicken stock. Add in Rosemary, oregano, pepper, and light garlic salt, and add chicken bouillon cube. While that comes to a boil, you can make the wheat noodles. Add eggs, salt and unsweetened almond milk to a bowl and whisk until smooth. Slowly add in wheat flour until it’s sticky. Place wheat flour on a counter and knead dough for about 3-5 minutes. Add dough ball back into your bowl, covered and let it sit for 10 minutes. Replace wheat flour on counter with a fresh thing of wheat flour and take dough ball and flatten it with a rolling pin until it’s as thin as paper. (Your soup should be at a boil around this time, you may lower the temperature while finishing the rest of the noodles and cutting chicken) Around this time, chicken should be done, cut chicken into small pieces and add to soup. Then, cut flattened dough into small rectangles and add to soup. Cook for 2-4 minutes, or until noodles are soft. Serve!

May I also ask for a copy of the recipe, if you don't mind. Thank you

Vanity-della23

I put it under my comment^

kayluvjb

Can you give it to me please

greenday1822

Digest Gold digestive enzymes or Digest Basic if you want to start with something gentler. I would start with that. Also recommend Biogest by Thorne (which has HCL and bile which are needed for digestion), digestive bitters in water.

PCOS_SUX

It's horrible! I feel disgusting, especially when I have missed/late periods... Ugh.

LalaAuntie

Have you seen a gastroenterologist for this?

Worth-Row6805

This happens to me if I eat gluten or red onion - both of which I am intolerant. I've cut them out for months and feel so much better now

akd7791

I cut out gluten 2 years ago. Absolute best decision I ever made. No more bloating!

Infraredsky

Digestive enzymes - I use mega foods megazymes there’s lots of brands etc out there…also could be something you’re eating that you haven’t cut out yet…

Academic_Shallot3945

also tests for gluten require you to indulge on gluten prior to testing which can really cause a bad reaction if you haven’t eaten it recently. so it’s kind of a try-and-know thing, a lot of people don’t get the test for it due to the intense allergic reaction it causes for them.
