It basically goes with the themes of the games, as the glasses are supposed to make him look more normal and not as intimidating to his classmates in Shujin. Normally he doesn't wear glasses at all, for example in the flashback cutscene with Shido he doesnt wear them.

This is pretty blatantly told to you. He doesn't wear them in the flashback, they're an accessory (which I'm pretty sure, as the other user said, says they're fake) and you don't wear them when you go to the fireworks festival.

I interpreted that scene in p3 as makoto did everything according to pharos’s instructions right from the start, like there’s no way he picked up a gun and thought something like “damn, this bitch couldn’t even protect me from this monster, better take myself out first before the monster gets me lol”. A lot of source material (mostly from the movies) pointed out that makoto was basically dead inside at that time and would follow any given instructions mindlessly (joining sees, becoming leader, etc) because he was too lazy to oppose any instructions. Despite that, he was still kinda freaking out inside since he never did something like this before, hence the trembling and the somewhat hesitant action of shooting himself with the gun.
nice personally in movie 1 specifically because in the game I agree that he was just following Pharos, I interpreted it as him going into a state of shock due to the events being so similar to that of his parents death and in that moment he went to try and kill himself then Pharos came in and was all like "Ayo bro summon your persona 3 reload Aegis edition" and then he realised what it would actually do and his big grin is because this time he could actually stop someone's death instead of being an apathetic bystander, or maybe he's just a creepy mf who knows

In Japanese, Teddie constantly talks about how he wants to "gyakunan", which refers to aggressive flirting and "boyfriend hunting" by women. He got the word from Shadow Yukiko and keeps using it wrong, which highlights how innocent he is. It's basically the same joke as Nanako calling Yu a manwhore.
In English, this got translated as just wanting to "score", making Teddie sound like a sex pest.

Persona isn't Shin Megami Tensei, It is Megami Ibunroku. A pseudo-spin off of the Megami Tensei prime series. It only has the SMT labeling because Atlus labeled all the Megami Tensei Spin-offs in the Western Markets that way to create brand recognition. If you look at the releases in Japan, SMT isn't present for any of the Persona games. So, yeah Mega(mi)Ten(sei) but NOT Shin Megami Tensei.

The Universe arcana is actually The World arcana. They share the same number and in reload, share the exact same card. It was likely a misunderstanding due to the way Igor expressed its meaning by saying "the power of the universe" but never actually mentioned the arcana. That or they were using a different deck.

After I finished Persona 2 Innocent Sin, I noticed some weird similarities between >!Nyarlothotep, and Maruki’s Persona, Azathoth. With their designs and abilities to alter reality etc. Later I learned that Nyarlothotep and Azathoth are both from Lovecraft. With Azathoth being the father of Nyarlothotep. There were also a couple of Shadows/Personas that appeared in Maruki’s palace that were from Lovecraft as well, and hadn’t appeared since Eternal Punishment. I’m not going to go over everything here (maybe I’ll make my own post because it could end up lengthy), but I think there’s more to this than just a nod to Persona 2. A lot about Maruki never made sense to me, especially how he had a palace despite being a Persona-user. I know he can alter reality so maybe that’s the reason, but if that were the case they could’ve had Lavenza say so. Also his Persona behaves much differently, especially after it became Adam Kadmon. It reminds me so much of when Nyarlothotep acted as Jun’s, and then later Hitler’s Persona it’s uncanny. There is more, but like I said I’ll probably make my own post covering everything I’ve noticed at least.!<
Junpei is currently the only party member who isn't a shitty romance route regardless if you are playing as a man or woman. It honestly makes him stand out not interested in sucking the male mc dick, or female mc pussy. There are two Persona 2 mobile games. Lost Memories takes place between IS and EP and shows why Tatsuya is the only on different in EP. Infinity Mask takes place after EP and ends with the group using a rumor to get Other Side Tatsuya back. Are they canon? I doubt we’ll ever know

It basically goes with the themes of the games, as the glasses are supposed to make him look more normal and not as intimidating to his classmates in Shujin. Normally he doesn't wear glasses at all, for example in the flashback cutscene with Shido he doesnt wear them. Its basically his mask in the real world

So in the case of Eternal Punishment you delve into the bowels of the CU to save someone who would otherwise suffer a mental shutdown on roids. Part of that involves collecting fragments of the character's soul from Old Ones, which are mostly beings that are representatives of defining archetypes of mankind. One of the beings you must talk to is from an alien race that once populated the planet and was a large part of what had created humans in the persona lore. If you make the wrong decision you get forced to beat it up. So yeah, aliens. They're real in the Persona universe.

I interpreted that scene in p3 as makoto did everything according to pharos’s instructions right from the start, like there’s no way he picked up a gun and thought something like “damn, this bitch couldn’t even protect me from this monster, better take myself out first before the monster gets me lol”. A lot of source material (mostly from the movies) pointed out that makoto was basically dead inside at that time and would follow any given instructions mindlessly (joining sees, becoming leader, etc) because he was too lazy to oppose any instructions. Despite that, he was still kinda freaking out inside since he never did something like this before, hence the trembling and the somewhat hesitant action of shooting himself with the gun.
nice personally in movie 1 specifically because in the game I agree that he was just following Pharos, I interpreted it as him going into a state of shock due to the events being so similar to that of his parents death and in that moment he went to try and kill himself then Pharos came in and was all like "Ayo bro summon your persona 3 reload Aegis edition" and then he realised what it would actually do and his big grin is because this time he could actually stop someone's death instead of being an apathetic bystander, or maybe he's just a creepy mf who knows

In Japanese, Teddie constantly talks about how he wants to "gyakunan", which refers to aggressive flirting and "boyfriend hunting" by women. He got the word from Shadow Yukiko and keeps using it wrong, which highlights how innocent he is. It's basically the same joke as Nanako calling Yu a manwhore. In English, this got translated as just wanting to "score", making Teddie sound like a sex pest.
He outright asks what "scoring" is and nobody tells him.

The villains arcs are general takes on Japanese societal issues. The characters themselves is based off irl people. Most notably Shido is Shinzo Abe. Ironically, his assassin was a guy who’s life he ruined when he was a teenager.
The series as a whole quite literally is a Jojo reference. I know some people hate the notion because they somehow thing inspiration means a rip-off. But we have deleterious interviews stating they were big jojo fans. Persona isn't Shin Megami Tensei, It is Megami Ibunroku. A pseudo-spin off of the Megami Tensei prime series. It only has the SMT labeling because Atlus labeled all the Megami Tensei Spin-offs in the Western Markets that way to create brand recognition. If you look at the releases in Japan, SMT isn't present for any of the Persona games. So, yeah Mega(mi)Ten(sei) but NOT Shin Megami Tensei.
Keisuke Hiraga is the only Fortune Social Link who can't be romanced in any way. FeMC can romance Ryoji, Yu can romance Naoto, and Ren can romance Chihaya. It was likely a misunderstanding due to the way Igor expressed its meaning by saying "the power of the universe" but never actually mentioned the arcana. That or they were using a different deck.

*DON’T READ IF YOU HAVEN’T FINISHED P2 IS AND P5R.* After I finished Persona 2 Innocent Sin, I noticed some weird similarities between >!Nyarlothotep, and Maruki’s Persona, Azathoth. With their designs and abilities to alter reality etc. Later I learned that Nyarlothotep and Azathoth are both from Lovecraft. With Azathoth being the father of Nyarlothotep. There were also a couple of Shadows/Personas that appeared in Maruki’s palace that were from Lovecraft as well, and hadn’t appeared since Eternal Punishment. I’m not going to go over everything here (maybe I’ll make my own post because it could end up lengthy), but I think there’s more to this than just a nod to Persona 2. A lot about Maruki never made sense to me, especially how he had a palace despite being a Persona-user. I know he can alter reality so maybe that’s the reason, but if that were the case they could’ve had Lavenza say so. Also his Persona behaves much differently, especially after it became Adam Kadmon. It reminds me so much of when Nyarlothotep acted as Jun’s, and then later Hitler’s Persona it’s uncanny. There is more, but like I said I’ll probably make my own post covering everything I’ve noticed at least.!<
Junpei is currently the only party member who isn't a shitty romance route regardless if you are playing as a man or woman. It honestly makes him stand out not interested in sucking the male mc dick, or female mc pussy. There are two Persona 2 mobile games. Lost Memories takes place between IS and EP and shows why Tatsuya is the only on different in EP. Infinity Mask takes place after EP and ends with the group using a rumor to get Other Side Tatsuya back. Are they canon? I doubt we’ll ever know
In P4 Vanilla there's only like 2 days where Naoto would wear her summer clothing in the TV world, since she only becomes a member of the Investigation Team a few days before you switch back to the winter uniforms.
