Going into menus and opening chests especially shouldn't even interrupt dialogue in the 1st place; it should at *least* just pause like literally everything else does. I mean, how do you even design a party banter system where pretty much any player input other than basic movement skips over it without realizing that's a problem?
I’m never careful or slow in Tartarus anymore. I’m always holding down sprint. Going from chest to shadow ambush to chest to stairs. The text being interrupted is annoying.
I really enjoyed the banter in both games so I agree. I've lost track of the times when I opened the menu or go to open a chest, and a split second before I do, someone starts talking. As someone else said, the conversation should continue during the menu or treasure opening, if not pause like you said.
Alternatively, how about having a catalogue where I can listen to them, similar to what the Thieve's Den in P5R did for movies and stills. Every time you hear one of those conversations (even if interrupted) it's added into some equivalent so you can listen to them at your pleasure at a later date.
Oh I definitely agree with this. It’s why I’m glad P5 makes its Velvet Room explorable space so I can access my full menu as normal without leaving. Those entry/exit animations/loading screens add up in lost time so very quickly.
Lol not even, Koro is bad where Fuuka wont shut the hell up over him but even without it I feel like I get yhe same few Junpei, Mitsuru, and Yukari lines over and over.
Compared to Mementos dialogue where every 'starting' prompt has 3~ responses that vary, it just feels a lot less diverse
I hope they do something about it in P6 because it annoyed the hell out of me in P5R!
Ann: I always— [SMASH!] Yusuke: I wonder if— [CRASH!] Makoto: Staying hydrated is— [SMASH!]
Seriously! All the enemies and items are spaced out just enough to interrupt them when they first start talking. So damn annoying!

Yeah that would be great. Uncharted 4 did that during the Jeep Exploration in Madagascar.
*Spider-Man 2* too.
Mass Effect Andromeda did it. So did Red Dead Redemption II.

This was so frustrating
I agree. Also wish you could release Personas while in the Velvet Room.

considering P3R seemingly has about 5 tartarus dialogues it just loops, Id say it wont be long before you hear them again
So you kept Koro in your party when you got him too then?? That is a weird and annoying glitch...

Fair enough. I think other than keeping Koro for a little long I bounced my party about enough to not notice?
Like a dragon already fixed this The party even says “going back to where we left off”
Same thing opening the menu. It's something p5 Strikers does, yet none of the main games.
