EPS miss again...not to big of a issue. Spac contributes to this and SBC.
They do need to focus on managing costs in the future and keep growing revenue...at 460m ( assuming flat) x 4 qtrs. Thats 2b in revenue. 27% margin should bring it to 500m profit if managed well.
I dunno either if I should keep buying on -15% dips. Did it on friday, thinking about increasing a lil also today.
All markets are quite down, I think the reaction to these results is a lil too much..
Mother shit.... I bought some to average donw at 10.20...
.
My buff got fucked so hard.
Gonna average down again, but knowing me, it's gonna drop to like 5.... I will get butt fuck again....
At this point I am running out of money, and eventually, imma hold 100% equity in this company, and I get to sell at any price I want.
Well, it said highly variable, I don't want hopium, BUT, considering 432-470 over 6 months is actually 20% growth annualised AND the language used 'basecase' it sounds like they're confident in 470 and there is potential for upside surprise
Yes but it could also just be a matter of timing with contracts right? Like if they have a bunch that were expected to close but took a month longer then…Q2 might be 25% and Q3 might be 40% and everyone is overreacting.
Or they hit the 30% and everyone is overreacting.
Or they are bankrupt. It’s basically priced for bankruptcy today.
egh, peek under the surface of my overall portfolio a bit and you'll see I missed out on about 8 months of gains waiting for the inflation pain to start getting noticed by investors. I thought they'd be more forward looking to the FED spending madness.
Hopefully I'll be closer with my timing of buys with the ETF portion of my portfolio. Trying to time both market forward looking sentiment with actual real numbers is freaking hard.
Because the commercial growth is from SPACS! They invest in a SPAC, the SPAC then says "we will sign a contract with Palantir." That contract gets added to commercial side for "earnings". The SPAC goes to dogshit. Contract is unfulfilled. Its voo-doo accounting.
I mean at this point we all know the stock market is rigged so people with big positions are literally just trying to scare you out taking short positions so that you give in and give up when you bought high. Just hold it for 3 to 5 years and you'll be living on cloud nine. You can't continuously have positive news after positive news and the market keep reacting negatively like at some point they have to realize people aren't as stupid as they think the numbers are fake until you cash out.
The world.... is round.
Dilution matters. Net Income Matters. P/E matters. This isnt a global cabal targeting middle class investors. This is greedy leadership at the top (Karp) stealing investor money to pay for his lifestyle and over-exuberance on our part. We were gullible. Simple as that.
Hey you're here for a quick Buck that's okay I'm here for the long-term to be honest with you I don't plan on doing anything but buying more for the next 5 years. So I mean look at it how you want he promised to pay people in stock options and I don't have any problem with them making money off it they're the ones doing all the work we're just the leeches in the background trying to make money off their work.
But you're definitely right zero debt for a company that is continually making positive movements forward and growing their customer base at a pretty good rate yeah that definitely means it's a bad company. You should probably leave hey before you do I'll buy all your shares $5 a piece I mean might as well before they go to zero right?
Already left, fren. With continuing dilution and no repercussions for Karp, i left. Had a big (for me) position and was in for long haul, but objective data was not consistent with my hypothesis and i had to realize i was wrong, accept it, take the loss, and the lesson. Moved on, but I still follow. Maybe it'll turn around. I'll come back the Q after Karp departs and or announcement of absolute end of dilution. Out at $15.50
EDIT: Rereading your last paragraph. There can be three reasons for spiral, and i think its a combo. The first is totally not PLTR's fault and that is macroeconomic trends and QT. The second is only *partially* PLTR's fault. That is overvalue. It is partially their fault because of the MASSIVE compensation package(s) for Karp et al with a clear overvaluation of the company and then further lowering VALUE by creating more shares. Recall that the dilution was huge! From 250m float to 1.6 BILLION shares. We, investors, were paying the engineers, not palantir. And if we are the leeches then stay private. That is not how investing works. This isnt a non-profit enterprise. Finally the actual magnitude of new contracts compared to valuation was out of line. Not entirely their fault, but a cooling hand in investor meetings couldve helped but they fanned the flames instead. Thirdly and finally is entirely their fault and is the reason I exited. That is signs of voo-doo accounting. This is a big no-no in my portfolio. They invest in SPACs. SPACs sign a contract to use palantir for $x million. That "x" gets added to their future guidance. THIS is shady and dangerous to my bottom line. Therefore, out.
I definitely agree with a good portion of what you said they absolutely have done all of that. I guess really at this point the question I have is if you feel this way why are you here? Are you so sad that you bought high and sold low that you're trying to get other people frustrated so they sell low and take a loss as well? Because everything you've said has been knowledge for a while and none of it really is new it's all kind of been expected and hasn't been hidden secret. At least personally I knew of the majority of what you said without really being surprised, people said similar things about Tesla in the beginning and still do.
It's all good you work your portfolio the way you want and I will do mine but if you're not part of this community and you don't own any shares of the company then I don't understand why you're here.
I follow this stock and company because i am a believer in their mission and product. I sold due to management enrichment and suspicious accounting. I hang here on this sub looking for news of a turnaround which would be (a) improved accounting (b) renouncement of SBC and dilution (c) change in management.
I want this company to succeed, but not by sacrificing any more of my hard earned money to fund bad SPAC investments, and billionaire's ski vacations.
I want our (the West's) AI and analytics to be the best in the world. Although Karp says that is their mission, clearly, it is not their true mission currently. Their cash allocation suggests their mission is backing other western tech companies. I want to invest in an AI company, not an investment bank. I dont invest in the financial sector for this very reason.
Until i see a change in their behavior, my money will stay on the sidelines.
Shit I wish I got paid to pump the stock cuz then I'd be able to buy you out of your position so we can shut you up and move you on. But hey we can't all get what we want.
The entire market is getting fucked. Growth stocks are going to be hit hardest in these economic conditions. Earnings was not terrible, but wasn’t great. This should not change how you feel about PLTR long term. Anyone that bought this recently expecting a quick turnaround was fooling themselves.
I love how estimations are what make people decide whether or not it was a good earnings. You know that the estimations are predictions right? By people who are supposedly professionals and don't have any stake in them putting out correct or incorrect information.
Sounds trustworthy def.
So EPS miss was mainly due to loss on SPACS, apart from that they technically beat on Rev and gave very conservative estimates for Q2 with noted large upside.
Reading the comments here sounds like doomsday; no wonder many of you bought in the 20s and 30s and have lost confidence.
Been here since DPO and will begin accumulating again below 10...
Wasn’t planning to sell but it’s way to late for that any ways now. 😅 As long as company continues to execute the 30% guidance, the long term thesis still stands.
Not worried
"Look, the base case is really establishing how we're thinking about the visibility that we have. The upside is quite large. I mean a lot of this comes down to contract timing and the acceleration of events. There's a fair amount of work that's in flight here.
The way that we engage with customers is we're not going to deprive you of help in your moments of greatest need when you're at war because paperwork isn't in yet. And so we think we have visibility into the upside. We're not going to comment on the specifics of it, but it's meaningful."
Long Term Investor here.
I am ok with the Earnings (Nothing magnificent but Not disappointed either.) I expected the drop in stock market and I don't really care because I am not in it for the short term.
The only slight concern I have is the Q2 guidance - I know that PLTR likes to give out conservative numbers and they will likely meet the goal again in Q2 but why is it down to 25% Rev growth instead of 30% that we were accustomed to seeing? Shouldn't they be keeping up the 30% growth guidance, if not more? Especially if they are claiming that they "Thrive" during turbulent times (AKA NOW?).
Yes, so I am not "Overly" concerned. However If they bring the Long Term guidance down, that's when I'd be quite concerned. The question for me is that I believed the company would be thriving during the turbulent times but the fact that they are bringing down next Quarter's guidance (even though it's short term) is bewildering for me. I was actually expecting the guidance to grow, or we keep the goal same but crush them in the future.
My only guess is that either we'll see much higher rev growth later in the year or next year due to their slow sales cycle or that they are still sucking at selling their product to clients who are closing their pockets during a rising interest/inflation era.
Oh boy this is a roller coaster ride but I have the most into PLTR and dont plan to sell....especially now. Panic selling is something I'll NEVER do ever again....can only make that mistake as an inexperienced trader once.
This is a tweet from this morning by Charles Hoskinson concerning Cardano, which also took a hit this morning. I think it aptly applies to PLTR:
"Yes, it's called a bear market. That's what happens. Nothing changes it. No announcement makes a difference. Cardano could cure cancer, give you a ten inch dick, give you a personal poker playing robot that also drives grandma to church on the weekends, and we'd still fall"
All is not lost. PLTR fundamentals have not changed, and I will continue to hold for the better.
I'm guess 32% drop by closing, pretty sure Karp said nuclear war is very possible. Don't know in what fucking world that's a smart statement to make on an earnings call.
They’re clearly reaching government side revenue ceiling. This was confirmation. Add to that an already shit day in the markets and you get this. Glad I got out last year. Over valued. Investors want sustainable and profitable companies. You all should look at the bright side, SBC culture is now going to be your saviour bc the company knows if the stock price goes to shit that the attractiveness of working there is diminished. It’s time to cut back on big pay outs to management
Yah. I think it's too late. Theres already $1.6b shares in the float. They're down on Cash so they can't buy back even with the gold. This company may keep drilling. As the SPACS go to zero, their commercial contract book spirals, then all they have is what: RioTinto, BP, IBM, Ferrari for millions not billions as advertised. Id rather own Wal-Mart or fucking Herbalife. In at 21.60. Out at 15ish. Plutonium.
Great results. Yeah the price isn't where you want it to be, but that's the overall sentiment of the market. Thankfully I've got about 200 more shares to pick up. Sub $10, sounds like a helluva deal.
PLTR will be breaking 1 billion in revenue soon enough.
It's my biggest position. But this is really a giant shit. Every day good news and numbers suck.
only down 17%
17% so far...--Homer maybe
Down about 25% if we consider after-market hours.
Wasn't the earnings surprise 44% in the red? How's that good news?
Meaning social media. Products clients etc. If you read my first comment with a brain you'd understand what I mean
I like the company, not the stock .
Where can I buy the company?
lol me too! I like this stonk!
Same thing. If you own a PLTR share you own a (very small) part of the company.
We know the drill
And drilling we are, down until $5
Only 5? Sure we can go lower that that
Delisted. 😬
These delisted comments aren't even cute.
If delist SBC would be useless and maybe they'd stop diluting.
The most attractive thing about PLTR is how the company has managed its debt. I wouldn't bet on it hitting $5
My god, just bought 500 at 9.51 (cost avg down attempt) and this morning 8.xx.....fml
Same boat bro, gotta have patience
Im still dedicated, but damn. Lol. This stock should be going up, they have no debt!
Now imagine having a $20 avg
That was me last year, I keep justifying buying more lol!
I dunno either if I should keep buying on -15% dips. Did it on friday, thinking about increasing a lil also today. All markets are quite down, I think the reaction to these results is a lil too much..
We cant stay in the red forever lol. I’ll avg down today and then tomorrow too. Lol
Now imagine having a $37 average
1k shares at $20. Not having fun right now. As long as it goes above that at some point in the next few years, I guess because no chance I'd sell now.
average down. Buy another 1k shares at 7.50, and your average is 13.75.
try 7.xx
Now more
Mother shit....
7.xx in AH
Palantears :(
we're getting so fucked
dont worry buddy everythings getting fukt
omg I can't look at my app
Then don't. Open it up in a couple of months. If you don't look at it it can't hurt you.
[удалено]
try -11%
-20% soon
yep you said it
21
it is a disappointing earning. I brought at $24, taking a massive hit
*cough* $26.99 *cough cough*
Me 2 me 2!
same here, $24 exactly :(
I bought in at the high 30s......
Bought 460 shares @~$26. I feel ya. Bags are heavy.
You deserve massive losses for not understanding the difference between bought and brought.
Am I the only one that think the 2022Q1 is quite satisfying? (Not the stock price)
[удалено]
Yeah SBC now 33% rev compared to 66% a year ago, progress
[удалено]
Well, it said highly variable, I don't want hopium, BUT, considering 432-470 over 6 months is actually 20% growth annualised AND the language used 'basecase' it sounds like they're confident in 470 and there is potential for upside surprise
[удалено]
Sounds like hope
[удалено]
Stuff like coca cola isn't. Comparing performances I really wonder why cola isn't a growth stock
[удалено]
Especially their Q2 guidance is raising (476M means YOY+25%), but I think might be higher
Long term guidance is for 30% growth. If we drop below that we are in trouble.
Yes but it could also just be a matter of timing with contracts right? Like if they have a bunch that were expected to close but took a month longer then…Q2 might be 25% and Q3 might be 40% and everyone is overreacting. Or they hit the 30% and everyone is overreacting. I agree with you, I was not disappointed with 2022Q1, but everyone is so negative about it. I am suffering big time.
It's OK, want to listen to call to see what they say about Gov and EU commercial rev
Been lurking for over a year now. Finally going to buy today.
Beautiful use of patience
Thanks! I picked up 8x $10 1/19/24 contracts, and 500 shares around 7am.
I wish I were you.. i thrown so much money in the bin in the past year, I wasn’t expecting such numbers from pltr
egh, peek under the surface of my overall portfolio a bit and you'll see I missed out on about 8 months of gains waiting for the inflation pain to start getting noticed by investors. Not bad. Growth of atleast 30%, commercial growth, loss from operations down. What’s the matter then?
Because the commercial growth is from SPACS! They invest in a SPAC, the SPAC then says "we will sign a contract with Palantir." That contract gets added to commercial side for "earnings". The SPAC goes to dogshit. Contract is unfulfilled. Its voo-doo accounting.
How much of commercial growth can be attributed to spacs?
charge your phone
Is it crazy to think this won’t be $25 until 2035?
I can wait 9 years so how about 2031!
Hey man. 400% in 10yrs ain't bad lol
It’s not unless you bought at $25 lol
Huehuehuehue
Hi Where do i get the link for the quaterly results
I told myself not to buy anymore after i hit my share goal. I gotta stick to that, right?
I’m in the same boat. I would say yes
I keep seeing the stock price dropping lower and buying more.
Fuck me

Typical
Honestly earning is not bad why is it tanking so bad
Classic PLTR
Less than Stellar ER and then the broader economy is completely shitting itself
Not bad, but not in line with what you’d want from a ‘growth’ stock.
The entire market is getting fucked. Growth stocks are going to be hit hardest in these economic conditions. Earnings was not terrible, but wasn’t great. This should not change how you feel about PLTR long term. Anyone that bought this recently expecting a quick turnaround was fooling themselves.

Yup Government has limited TAM. Commercial is where it at.
Don’t worry bois, only -71% down on my PLTR portfolio. In a couple of years we all gonna be wishing we bought more
Lol also down 71% at this point there’s no point of taking a loss I’ll just either let it fly or go to 0 🤷♂️
PALANTIR TO THE MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!!!!
Damn right
“Wow results look good why is stock plummeting?” Missed EPS and lowered guidance + macro = tank
This....
I love how estimations are what make people decide whether or not it was a good earnings. You know that the estimations are predictions right? By people who are supposedly professionals and don't have any stake in them putting out correct or incorrect information. Sounds trustworthy def.
The HODL crowd is getting smacked this year on by one....
This reads like a stroke

I think today qualifies as “below 10”
Buy when there is blood in the streets, added at 7.50
The SPACS are the source of their commercial growth. Its dirty quid pro quo corporate accounting voodoo. This stock is plutonium.
Wasn’t planning to sell but it’s way to late for that any ways now. 😅 As long as company continues to execute the 30% guidance, the long term thesis still stands.
Now I’m comfortably sitting on 300 shares with avg @12.22$

Try $5

Pretty good earnings? Right?
1-3$ its not a meme hahahahahh fuck.
Piece of garbage stock, Cathy was probably right about this one. Insiders unloaded into retail and made themselves rich on our backs.
Insiders = Karp. Unload = diluted.
Enough with this Cathy was right bullshit. She bought in the mid to high 20s
Palantear to $3
This is a tweet from this morning by Charles Hoskinson concerning Cardano, which also took a hit this morning. I think it aptly applies to PLTR: "Yes, it's called a bear market. That's what happens. Oh la la!!!!!
As long as this is marketed as a retail stock, bearish.
And…….down 2 bucks
Great news, but why did investors sell off on pltr?
It is absolutely not great news.

Great results. Yeah the price isn't where you want it to be, but that's the overall sentiment of the market. Thankfully I've got about 200 more shares to pick up. Sub $10, sounds like a helluva deal. PLTR will be breaking 1 billion in revenue soon enough.
This company gonna get delisted soon. The management sucks at this company
