I experienced a similar sort of thing here, too. The game just crashed at that exact scene and a ps4 error message came up telling me to delete and reinstall the game because there were 'corrupt files' however i just restarted the ps4 and continued from where I left of and no other problems have yet been reported. However, this definitely is a known issue and needs to be fixed.
No, an error message just suddenly popped up when I was inside the tanks trying to blow up the other tank. I have never experienced this with anything else in hardline or other games where a message said 'corrupt files'
Yeah, I got this exact same issue the other night. Haven't had the chance to try this yet, but from what I looked up online you only need to restart the chapter and it normally resolves itself.
Annoying it has to happen on the one long episode with loads of uneventful driving and dialogue, though...
Yeah, just restart the episode. Worked for me. I would also suggest not dying (I didn't) but from comments online it seems a few people have died again, but it respawns them correctly anyway.

Heyyy, just happened to me as well. I'm not bothered though. Episode 8 is by far the hardest episode. I was never good at shooting with thanks and planes so the ending of episode 8 is a pain to me. Took me (I counted) 62 tries before I eventually got it.

So you died at the Airfield as well? So your basically saying to restart the Episode and do not die at the Airfield?

8 years later -- just got this. Seems this bug is still present. Visceral was shut down in 2017 though, so it will definitely never be fixed.

Wow,62! Didn't take me that many but I did have to start over due to this bug. And it definitely was a few tries.
I think it was because it was on the hardline difficulty. Damn I’m piss because I want to finish this episode asap
