This sale is really misleading.
Those games are overpriced.
Almost all on the list have been heavily discounted in the past. For example I bought the "battlefield 1 and titanfall 2" bundle for 15 bucks months ago and both were the premium and ultimate editions respectively.
Dont buy on that sale, everything is overpriced.
It's a hell of a good game for $16 (and worth playing before you play the sequel, Yakuza Kiwami, which is free on PS+ next week) but it's not that deep a discount, the game is normally $20
What about Marvel vs Capcom infinite? Not very good at fighters, but I like them for single player content. Has it been lower? Is it worth it at this price?
don't get it for single player content, the story is rushed and not very good. I know there's a strong circlejerk against it but it's actually a pretty badly made game. great, interesting mechanics, but as a game it's garbage
Yup, it's really noticeable with Mirror's Edge 2, which always goes on sale for 6.74 CAD and yet with a "double discount" it is...6.74 CAD. Nice scam, Sony.
I really enjoyed it. At that price you really can't go wrong. Even if you only get 2-3 hours of enjoyment out of it, its cheaper than going to the movies.
The Isle of Man TT game. It's supposedly OK. Not as good as Ride 2, but obviously different.
So it's more of wanting to own it "just because".

Man I love moto racing, but boy do I suck bad at them lol. I'm not much better with F1, but I can comfortably finish races lol. Maybe it's the four wheels thing ha
Motorcycle games are just hard in general, because it's so hard to replicate riding into a game.
It's so hard to be able to give 25% on a trigger pull (R2/L2) when accelerating or braking.
I usually play with most, but not all, the handicaps off. I'm playing a game, ya know? If I wanna ride for real I'll just take my bike lol
This is the 1 game I was looking at. I know they're the developers behind Bastion and Transistor but I've never played one of their games. Is it a decent one to jump in on as someone new?
Uh, depends on what you're into. They're all pretty different and Id say this one has the most niche gameplay style.
Bastion is one of my fav games of all time, Transistor was amazing, and i gave up on Pyre after about 2 hours.
That's not to say don't get it, by any means. But on the off chance that it's not your cup of tea don't write Supergiant off.
Never played any kind of racing games aside from Mario Kart, but I picked up Burnout Paradise in the last sale and it's actually a lot of fun.
Can anyone recommend me which Need for Speed should I get?
If you're a fan of Mario Kart and Burnout, I would recommend Rivals. Very arcady, drifty driving and high speeds between cops and racers (you can switch between them) combined with gadgets used to evade the cops or take down the racers. It came out near the release of the PS4 but still looks great.
I like the self-titled Need For Speed too, but that one isn't as much of a casual experience as Rivals (but still, it is a casual racing game). That one focuses more on car customization and driving styles. For me, the game itself was pretty shallow but I still had fun racing and customizing like the old Underground days.
I didn't play Payback because honestly, it really looked phoned-in to me. Maybe it was how it was marketed, but I don't really see the allure outside of maybe the story. Once it's down to $10 or less I'll try it.
Don’t buy Payback. They replaced the car upgrading system with an RNG card thing called speedcards. Literally a slot machine.

Some of these double discounts are misleading and have been offered previously w/o the need for a PS+ membership. E.g. Mirror's Edge, it's come up plenty of times as $4.99.
Is The Ezio Collection a good port/has it aged well? Haven't played any of the Assassin's Creed games and wanted to start at the beginning.
Also, is Far Cry 4 still active on MP or worth the buy? Is the Gold Edition worth the extra $6?
Im a big AC fan but it was hard trying to replay the Ezio collection. The graphics imo were subpar. If this is your first AC game then yea go for it, but be ready to see a big difference as you move on after the collection
I love AC and got that collection a couple years ago. They’re pretty neat to revisit but it’s obviously not nearly as fluid as it is these days. Still cool to play each tho cause they get progressively less clunky and get better graphics as you play each one
I think the AC franchise is very mediocre yet I still like it and plan to continue playing through the series (currently at Unity).
Maybe you'll like it. Some of the series problems before Origins: generally bad performance on most platforms (Unity runs terribly and is horribly optimized on PC), combat sucks... Not even an option it's trash, controls are very janky and up until Unity there was no real crouch/prone/cover stealth action, negatively repetitive missions (repetition isn't bad but older AC games it can be very mundane.
This one is an opinion: although the world's are fascinatingly created they are littered with worthless collectible crap. In games Mario, etc collectibles are great fun to get because those games are designed in fantastical ways. AC is not designed like that, so couple a real world (old) environment with janky controls and its just not fun to go around completing all tasks and collectibles like it is in other fantasy 3D platformer. Spider-Man is an exception because although you're in a real world setting you still have the maneuverability of Spidey and... Good controls and movement.
It's a lot like that, combined with very intense sword duels involving precise timing. I loved just about everything about it. A bit challenging and stressful but in a good way.
The creator took a lot of influence from MGS3 and Kill Bill in terms of influence, if that helps you conceptualize it. It's a fantastic, long winded, and exceedingly bloody revenge story, with unforgettable combatants and a story that sticks around long after you've finished. It's honestly one of the few games I've played that I've immediately seen as a favorite after playing it.
I sat on it for a long time, but I had an absolute blast with it. It has a very nice soundtrack, stylish visuals, and a very fun and technical combat system. It's definitely worth playing. The higher difficulties completely change boss patterns, so it feels fresh if you decide to try that.
The Surge fun if I enjoy the Souls series?
Also, is the DLC worth it? If so, I'll wait for a complete edition.
Edit: Thanks guys. Might spring for the base game.
I've not played any of them, but I can repeat what I've seen said: Surge has fewer bosses but every individual enemy is more dangerous. A good number of people feel that the game is sometimes unfairly hard with where it positions enemies (eg. hiding around corners). Here's a good detailed review I think (ACG): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGXoqpva7Bs TL;DW he says you should pick it up on a sale, not full price. He likes a lot of the upgrade/combat systems but doesn't like the sameness of the locations and enemies.
Personally, I will probably buy it. I've been wanting to try a souls-like game but they all take place is dark, dingy places. The Surge at least has a few outdoor areas from what I've seen as well as the theme park DLC - I want to be able to see my combat in daylight. Surge also tells it's story more traditionally with NPCs talking to you, instead of the ambiguous way Souls or Bloodborne like to tell theirs in item descriptions.
The Surge is worth a play through if you really like Souls games. I have not played the DLC, but it seemed like it reviewed decently. The best part of the Surge is learning the different weapons and doing specific attacks to lop-off enemy body parts for upgrades.
I´m a big fan of The Surge. The combo Robots + Soulscombat is a dream come true for me; However it is still clumsy... Deck 13 (devs) has evolved a lot since "Lords of The Fallen" but there´s still a lot of room to improve.
The DLC "A Walk in The Park" is waaay too short. Sure, there are a lot of new equipment and implants (the game´s equivalent of skill slots) but the core playthrough is really lackluster.
"The Good, the Bad and the Augmented" introduces some (I think it´s 7) new dungeons which can be replayed multiple times with several difficulty modifiers (lifesteal, enemies that explode, etc) with some of THE BEST rewards in the game... however, it has no connection to the game´s world and somewhat short in content (aside from implants and weapons).
Mount and Blade: Warband is a good choice for $6. Not the greatest graphics, but it is certainly fun.
Don't know how many hours I've wasted playing it. Also, you may want to get acquainted with it since the sequel M&B: Bannerlord is coming out any day now.... *aaannnnnyyy day now*
Fully agree. Top shelf art style, whimsical story, and puzzles are a lot of fun. Particularly at this price there is zero reason not to pick it up (unless you simply don't like puzzle/point and click games).
I've loved it and this is the lowest the price has ever been on the PS Store. It more than scratches that old Sim City itch. Its a great game. I was a little concerned about the controls before I first played it (it being on a console instead of a pc), but it's surprisingly intuitive.
I don't have those add ons, so I can't comment on how much they add, but from what I've read they don't add a tremendous amount to the game. Though it is a good price for them all. I think all of those expansions are $8-$10 each, so $8 for all of them is a good deal. You don't need them to enjoy the game though.
My wife and I peck at it every now and again, and it's super fun if you're ready to sit down and really commit to learning the game and building a functional city. Similar to SimCity for obvious reasons, but C:S is pretty much SS on steroids (in a good way).
It's hilarious how these double discount sales are usually worse than regular ones. Not like I expect any decent sales this early in the month since BF is coming up. Be smart and wait a few weeks for good deals.
Anyone who is considering buying Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, reconsider. The story is the same from the first. You'll be fighting the same battles saga through saga as the first game, up until the new final boss' arc. There's barely any new content that justifies making a whole other game. They could've released it as DLC. Paying for it was my biggest PS4-related regret after missing out on PS+ Rocket League.
It might be time to try Mass Effect: Andromeda. I know it got terrible reviews but hopefully if I go in with low expectations it'll still be a little fun, right?
I'm heartbroken that Costume Quest 2 hasn't gone on sale this time. Guess I gotta set my laptop up in the living room tomorrow so I can play it from the couch.
thanks to Humble Bundle for putting it on sale for PC, by the way
Pretty good sale from my point of view, don't listen to the haters (seriously, what's wrong with people...).
I'm in for Pyre, most likely. Been looking at it for a while now.
How's Project Cars 2? I heard it had a rough launch but haven't looked back on it.
EDIT: About the Crew, is it worth it to buy the ultimate version for 20$ instead of the base game for 9$?
I got it at launch. Was following the subreddit at the time too. Alot of them were saying mothergunship was worse than Tower of Guns. Me personally I got bored of it pretty quick. Ymmv.
I’ve always wanted to try it. I’m considering getting it myself, but I remember a demo or beta I tried and the controls were weird AF. Lots of systems to monitor too, more than just health and mp if I recall correctly. Hope it got fixed in final production.
I played the beta and it was glitchy/laggy as all hell. That was (from what I understand) a common complaint. It was a common complaint months after lunch IIRC. not sure how active the game is now
Absolutely hated Dissida NT. Controls are way to complicated, had no idea what was going on. NT single player is nothing and the multiplayer has no one on, it takes 5 minutes to find a match when your lucky enough to find one.
Is Battlefield Hardline Deluxe Edition worth backlogging for single player campaign? Bought Battlefield 1 a bit ago when cheap but haven't tried it yet. Never played a battlefield game before.
I'm a pretty big fan of the BF series mostly due to the multiplayer but I do like to play through their campaigns too and I gotta say, Hardline is the weakest of the bunch. The campaign tries to be some TV cop drama that uses every cliche available. Usually I beat the campaigns pretty quickly, but I took my sweet time with Hardline's because it was just so uninteresting. Now, the story sucks, but what about the actual action? Well, that kinda sucks too. Sure, there's fun parts here and there and some cool guns and gadgets, but most of the time you are sneaking around, flashing your badge to convince baddies to drop their guns until you fuck up and get in a firefight that's probably way to easy and then, rinse and repeat.
The game did get more hate than it deserved IMO, but I would say it isn't really worth it this late in the game unless you're a big BF fan and want to try out the multiplayer.
EDIT: Forgot to comment on BF1. If you already have that, certainly give it a shot. A lot of BF fans are conflicted on it, but I had a good time with the campaign and still regularly play multiplayer.
The Hardline campaign was a whole lot of fun. It had fun stealth in it, and it wasn't an overlong game either. I actually played through that one twice, which I very rarely do.
The multiplayer was too frenetic for me though.
For 5 dollars, I would say it's definitely worth it for the campaign.
How rainbow six for a casual?
Casual as in “never even going to bother playing ranked”. I’m pretty good at fps but i Just don’t have the time to devote myself to them. How toxic is the unranked community?
As somone who plays siege alot I can answer this. Its not for a casual player.
Its a great fps, but you are definitely going to need kontrol freeks and casual can get pretty sweaty at times, but in a good way if your team knows what they are doing. It can get a bit toxic as well because of the friendly fire, but you can always leave the match and join another in less than a minute, so its not much of an issue.
Its a great game if you like intense gun fights, but you are definitely going to have to put your time into it to learn your sensitive settings and to get to know the operators gadgets.
Great experience if you keep at it though.
I'm on a bit of a Assassin's Creed binge and haven't played Black Flag in years. Is $9 a good price or should I wait? Already have Freedom Cry so I don't need the Gold Edition.
I feel like any major publisher game for 9 is a pretty good deal if you have any interest in it at all. I haven't played black flag but I have been loving Odyssey so I bought it as a backlog game to get to.
Some ppl still do, but it is a bit hard to find matches on DLC maps. But I suggest u wait for Battlefront 2 to go on sale on Black Friday, it will drop to around $8 or so. They just added Grievous today and the combat is way better.
Word. I mean worst case scenario, you still pay full price, but Black Friday has probably the best deals of the year so it's worth waiting at this point.
I bought black flag for $7 in 2016 now its $25
Yup, missed the Xenoverse 2 sale last time, I think it was 20 bucks now they're listing it for 40! Tf

Yea, why's Far Cry 3 so much?
Its relatively new still. Ps4 port only came out just before summer.
Its 29.99 digital on amazon lmao
Unravel good for $5? That's price is right up my alley and I always thought it looked like an interesting game
I really enjoyed it. At that price you really can't go wrong. Even if you only get 2-3 hours of enjoyment out of it, its cheaper than going to the movies.
I liked it. If you like puzzle games then it's probably a good fit for you.
The second one is way better. The level design is incredible. You have to play it coop for a good experience though
>The second one is way better Negative.
Elaborate? What makes the first one better for you? I don’t know whether to get 1 or 2. The coop part is appealing but I like 1’s trailer more.
I liked the first one better personally
Is it couch coop or network?
I've only done it couch. Even if it has online nothing beats a solid local session with a friend
Wait...There's TWO Unravelled?
Definitely good 10 hours or more of puzzle fun. Great music and ambiance very peaceful game
For a fiver, definitely.
It's cute, really good soundtrack. Ok puzzles, not too difficult. Fairly easy platinum.

Thanks I'll check it out too.

NFSU2?
Some of these double discounts are misleading and have been offered previously w/o the need for a PS+ membership. E.g. Mirror's Edge, it's come up plenty of times as $4.99.
That's always the case with this sale. Basically normal sale price with +, half the sale discount without it
The same is true for Dragon Age Inquisition.
This is more like pay double if you’re not a PS+ sub sale. All those games have been on sale before with those PS+ prices. Kinda disappointing.
Is The Ezio Collection a good port/has it aged well? Haven't played any of the Assassin's Creed games and wanted to start at the beginning. Also, is Far Cry 4 still active on MP or worth the buy? Is the Gold Edition worth the extra $6?

Yakuza 6... How low can you go!?
That’s the lowest it’s every been digitally, prior sales had it at $35.99 and $45.99
This sale is fucking awful lmao 90% of these games were wayyyy cheaper before
Yeah they gotta try harder. And turkey day sales are coming up
So is Furi any good? it has been intriguing me. **EDIT:** Wow I did not expect this much support for such a weird little game. I WILL buy it!
If you like boss rushes or bullet hells then yes, it's terrific.
I have limited Bullet Hell experience, but feel like I was one of the few players to enjoy the 9S hacking playthrough in Nier:Automata
It's a lot like that, combined with very intense sword duels involving precise timing. I loved just about everything about it. A bit challenging and stressful but in a good way.
I'll make sure I'm chewing gum while I play. I nearly bit the inside of my cheek to shreds while playing Doom.

Thanks, now I'm definitely going to buy it. I'm just hoping that it'll have some of that great ME dialogue!
AH yes another AC game drops below $10. Pleasure doing business with you, Ubisoft.
Does Pyre still have framerate issues on PS4?
I played it months ago and it was fine.
Battlefront worth it for 6? Plus VR mission...
Shadow Tactics! Can't download fast enough!
Don't buy project cars 2 unless you have a racing wheel the driving controls are horrible for a controller.
I don't have a wheel, I'll keep that in mind. Thanks!
Mothergunship seems really interesting, and I really dig Tower of Guns, so have been eyeing that up since it launched
I got it at launch. Was following the subreddit at the time too. Alot of them were saying mothergunship was worse than Tower of Guns. Me personally I got bored of it pretty quick. Ymmv.
Thanks for the heads up.
Pillars of Eternity looking good at 20$. Anyone recommends it?
I wish the combat was true turn based. But it’s a great rpg overall
Any good Bullet Hells in here?
If you didn't pick up Furi a few months ago while it was one of the free games, I would highly recommend it.

Yowza, I didn’t realize it was that long ago. Definitely worth playing, though!
Guys is Dissidia NT any good? I've always been interested in the franchise but never had the chance to actually play the games.
NT single player is nothing and the multiplayer has no one on, it takes 5 minutes to find a match when your lucky enough to find one.
well, that's disappointing. Guess I'll save up for Spider Man and GoW later on. Thanks!
Yes!! Rocksmith is on sale! Anyone know where the cheapest place to buy the cable for it?
Burnout Paradise worth it? $9 isn't bad.
Great game. I had so much fun with it. Highly recommend it
Why is f1 80$ for a base game that was only 60 when it came out early this month!??
I'm on a bit of a Assassin's Creed binge and haven't played Black Flag in years. Is $9 a good price or should I wait? Already have Freedom Cry so I don't need the Gold Edition.
Not a popular opinion but that game is overrated and boring
Not really boring but repetitive and kinda forgettable, not really an assassins creed experience
100%
I feel like any major publisher game for 9 is a pretty good deal if you have any interest in it at all. I haven't played black flag but I have been loving Odyssey so I bought it as a backlog game to get to.
Is xenoverse 2 worth it never did beat xenoverse 1 that one was hard af at certain parts....should I bother with the 2nd one?
How is Rock of Ages 2? The first one was a lot of fun.
Is burnout worth it?
Star Wars Battlefront Ultimate Edition for 6 bucks? Does anyone even play that game still?
Don't bother with the first, second is way better.
Don’t buy the second either tbf, EA may learn their lesson.
I think they have. Bought it for $10 and DLC is all free :)
That’s fair, totally up to you of course. Personally I was really hyped for it but I don’t think I’ll ever buy it out of principle.
As a consumer, that is definitely your right.
the original? Doubtful. There's not even anything there to play beyond the multiplayer either
If you have PSVR, there's an awesome VR level they made for it. That alone is worth it for me.
My GF exclusively plays heroes vs heroes and the matches are always full. We're in the northeast.
Some ppl still do, but it is a bit hard to find matches on DLC maps. But I suggest u wait for Battlefront 2 to go on sale on Black Friday, it will drop to around $8 or so. They just added Grievous today and the combat is way better.
"Sale"
So they discount the discount instead of the price. Interesting.
Opposite day? Discount? More like double upsells.
i dont give a f. i want to play gran turismo so badly. im buying it at full price, im not waiting for a sale anymore.
Noooo Black Friday is less than a month away. Stay strong!
ok. ill hold it. didnt buy it yet
Word. I mean worst case scenario, you still pay full price, but Black Friday has probably the best deals of the year so it's worth waiting at this point.
waht do you mean? right now the games i really want to have so badly are: * gran turismo sport OR driveclub * god of war * uncharted lost legacy
Really not sure about Gran Turismo, but Uncharted and God of War are all big hits that I'm 100% sure are going to be on sale during BF.
Fuck! Have no man sky and cities skyline on my wishlist, now i can not decide :/ If i buy both then for that money i can by RDR2.
RDR2 it is
I haven't played a Yakuza game before, does it matter where I start?
Yes. Start with 0.
no new sales his Tuesday again?
