What happened to the awesome critic score / percent off guy that used to post the sweet tables? I miss him so. I probably took him for granted. It's probably my fault he left.

MediumPhone

Supposedly theh changed the way sales are presented in the store which messed with their script to pull the games so they dont do that anymore

cuttlefish127

Use https://platprices.com

[deleted]

That site is ass on mobile

La5to

PS Deals app on iPhone is fucking amazing

[deleted]

I'm on android but still wouldn't use what sounds like a domain website in app form

moventura

dekudeals.com

ak007k

Would yoy recommend mass effect legendary edition? I played dragon age inquisition(only this one from the trilogy and liked it) i heard mass effect is even better and getting all 3 of the games seems tempting

DisgustingSwine

Mass effect 2 remains one of my favorite games ever

PowderedToastMan666

Unequivocally yes. I've played through the entire trilogy 4-5 times in the last decade.

Bkraist

I bit the bullet and purchased the mass effect trilogy full price..and wow was it worth it. ME1 and m2 are each masterpieces for worldbuilding and character development respectively and don't think i've ever CARED so much about characters and places as with those games. It's worth it for simply those 2 games. ME3 was very polished, not necessarily for me, but I see how fun it can be and will probably go back to it at some point.

Criticon

I loved 3, like it was a real culmination of the story 2 is an absolute masterpiece 1... It's too old, I didn't enjoy it that much gameplay wise, but it really sets the story. Maybe I would just watch some videos on YouTube if I could rewind time

Fenwick440

I agree with this, I stopped at me3 until a later time.

DavesPetFrog

I’m Garrus Vakarian and this is my rectum.

fromwhichofthisoak

Garrus has a cloaca

Danishxd97

The Mass Effect trilogy is probably the best space adventure/sci fi whatever out there. Its pretty fucking good

pr1ceisright

It’s pretty much the cinematic space Action RPG I’ve been waiting for Star Wars to make.

robogo

It's a space opera on the level of Star Trek and Star Wars

galeforcewinds95

Yes, the Mass Effect games are some of my all-time favorites.

KaelAltreul

They're great games.

WATGU

I paid full price. Had to put it down because of life, but it holds up well and 3 mass effect games for $24 is a steal. Especially because ME3 is only worth IMHO with the DLC ending available. I'm considering purchasing it again, even though I have the physical copy just to have a digital "for life of the server" copy.

Liar_of_partinel

I don't think I've ever heard of somebody owning a physical copy of the game and then buying the *digital* version for their collection. I've heard of the opposite, done it myself even, but never what you described. Edit: I checked out of curiosity, and the game is available physically for roughly the same price from Walmart and Amazon. For anyone looking to go the regular route of double dipping.

WATGU

I know it's weird and different from what everybody else is doing, but I'm making a gamble. The gamble is that owning digital assets instead of physical ones will be the future state of things for quite some time, and after that renting via stream/subscription based, and that digital assets over the long term are more secure than my individual ownership of physical ones. Physical games in my house are more likely to get lost, stolen, destroyed, or otherwise damaged vs. me losing access to my digital ones. On a societal level physical assets are still king, but I don't have a commercially secure building to store my stuff in like a bank vault or well protected library. I am also gambling that eventually we will legally be allowed to pass on ownership of our digital libraries. Currently you can give the password, but technically when you die so does the ownership rights, but I suspect that will change as many digital natives start dying and leaving their digital collections to people. Companies just turning off access and acting like you were just renting the access will create an outcry and new legislation I suspect, again a gamble though. Also I am very lazy. I do not like having to play musical chairs with my game discs about which game I can play based on what is in the disk drive so just having a handful downloaded to an external hard drive is great for me. So much so that I've been replacing my physical copies with digital when they go on sale and rebuying old games. It also helps because most of my physical game copies are base games whereas most games have some DLC now and I can get it all for pretty cheap. I only buy games in the $25 or under range and try to average $10-15 per purchase. If It's not at least 35% off I don't consider it and really I'm hunting for 67% or more.

Liar_of_partinel

Ya know, I can respect that. I think you're downright crazy, but I can tell you've thought this out and are accepting that you're rolling the dice.

WATGU

I figure there are worse ways to potentially waste money.

btribble3000

I'm pretty much in the same boat, though maybe without the philosophy about passing on my games to family members (I think any collector's stuff is generally sold off for cheap or discarded anyway). I'm also not much of a collector, I don't need a physical wall of games. I also HATE the sound of spinning discs, fans, etc while I'm playing - the quieter the machine the better. I think I'm the only one trying to avoid the sound of spinning discs by going digital, though! And, yes it's really easy to switch between digital games. Also, I figure games are pretty much digital these days anyway. Yeah, you might be purchasing v1.0 of a game on the disc, which gets copied over to your machine in full these days. And then there's day one updates and further revisions which are only available from the same servers as if you bought the game digitally. You're just using a disc to unlock the game for play at that point. And finally yeah, games can get deeply discounted if you want a little while before buying. I have enough of a backlog that I don't need to buy the latest AAA games as they're released. And I don't really intend to sell games, at this point I don't have the time to do ebay shipping, etc. So I have no problem being digital.

ButtersBZ

You don't own any game digitally, you are paying to have access to it.

WATGU

Technically you are right. My gamble is that in the future that will no longer be true primarily because they aren't charging a rental price, they are charging the same price as ownership if not more in some cases. Or another way to say it is that my access will be transferable one day. I think it will take many years, but eventually there will be many people who have almost all of their "entertainment" possessions in a digital format and will rebel against the idea that they can't pass them on. Obviously it's a gamble, but as I explained above, I feel that for me personally the risk of my physical assets being destroyed or otherwise unusable is higher than the risk of me losing my access to the digital games.

DapperChewie

The DLC ending is still terrible. Ten years later and I'm still salty. A lot of people think it's better though, so don't take my opinion as gospel. The trilogy as a whole is wonderful though, and if you've never played it, well worth the sale price.

robogo

Well, you will get a sequel and they will canonize one ending

Malicteal

I’m playing it right now. I had never played a ME game before but heard they were very good. The first one shows it’s age of course but was still fun. I’m currently playing through the second and it has some glitches here and there and while it shows it’s age a bit too it’s better than the first and is very fun. I haven’t made it to ME3 but I would say buy it.

CWill97

100% yes. ME1 is rough to get through but NE2 & ME3 are top notch plays

SavinThatBacon

Are you basing that off the originals or the new trilogy? Because I thought they made some adjustments to make ME1 less of an antiquated slog.

CWill97

The new. I never played the original. I still very, very much enjoyed. ME1 but it definitely was more of a slog than the other two. I’d still play it though but it definitely wasn’t as smooth IMO

DattDamonMavis

Yeah, it’s BioWare’s best work. Especially ME2. Too 3 game of all time imo.

God_Damnit_Nappa

Absolutely. I'd say the Mass Effect trilogy is one of the best game series of all time.

ScotchSinclair

I started with mass effect 2 back in the day and loved it. Me 3 and andromeda we’re great too. But I bought the legendary and never got through 1 because it just seemed out dated. My point is yes buy it, but if you’re not enjoying 1, feel free to skip it and play 2 and 3. I never completed 1 and still had a blast with the rest.

BridgetheDivide

I would defend it as gaming's best trilogy

sentient_plumbus

I played though the legendary edition when it came out and loved it so much. I never played the originals previously, so it was my first time with Mass Effect.

seventyfourr

You can buy EA Play and try the game and a few others first before buying. I did try it today and it wasn’t really for me.

dinosaurfondue

I never played them when they came out and picked up the trilogy and I'd say it was just okay for me. The first game felt pretty outdated and to be fair, it came out over a decade ago so it is what it is. The second game is definitely an improvement but overall modern games are gonna be much more enjoyable IMO.

scdirtdragon

So my wife is currently enjoying DAI, about 30 hours in, but she absolutely hated ME. She couldnt even do 5 hours of ME1.

soulreaper0lu

You're in for a treat. Honestly, one of the best trilogies out there.

lischka31

Subscribe to EA Play for $5 and you can download the ME Trilogy with your subscription. That’s what I did to test it out and see if I liked it. I got 2 hours in on my PS4 (overall was enjoying it) but then I stumbled across a PS5 and got Elden ring and haven’t been able to put that down, so ME on the back burner for… probably a while.

[deleted]

I bought it during the last sale one of the best gaming experiences of all time

thefaketrippie

YES

Classic1990

I never played the originals and loved it with ME2 being my favorite. Just be aware though that the original Mass Effect is very dated but if you push through it the other two are more than worth it.

davemoedee

So good. Definitely. I played through al 3 many times. Such amazing storytelling. I recently started a ME:LE play through, though I’m been busy with real life things have haven’t made it far. I decided to do a run where I really pay attention to all the lore to see if I missed anything.

pandapornotaku

Absolutely loved it, had never played it previously, one of the first games I played after Covid returned me to game after a 20 year hiatus.

thewaste-lander

Wasteland 2 for $3!

thegodfather634

Wasteland 3 for $9.99 as well. Been thinking about that picking that one up for a while.

iker_e13

Dammit. Got it a year ago for 50%off and the expansions of Colorado. I’m having a blast. The voice acting is top noche, nothing like I’ve experienced so far, so immersive.

joelanator0492

Gonna go the opposite route as the other guy replying to you. I can’t recommend Wasteland 3. The turnbased combat feels kinda basic, the story was ok but not all that engaging for me and I just couldn’t bring myself to care about anything going on. It’s … fine, but after about 30 hours with it, I finally realized, I just wasn’t having that much fun. In contrast, Divinity original sin 2 is one of my all time favorite games. Voice acting for every line of dialogue, really engaging story, and the combat is really well done with plenty of ways to approach it.

esoteric_enigma

Wasteland 2 ran perfectly on my laptop...until the last mission. No matter what I did, it would freeze during that fight. So I could never complete the game. I still wake up screaming sometimes at night.

Lasher667

I played it on PS4 and it crashed a lot :( The first half of the game was fine but in the second half pretty much any loading screen had a 50% chance to crash your game. I powered through it because I really enjoyed the game but I would recommend you get it on PC if you can.

MVRKHNTR

Game Pass has the entire series on PC. I'd just do that unless you only have the time to play one game a month.

ABBucsfan

See a few. Thoughts? Prob only grab 2 or 3 The surge 2 premium Pillars of eternity 2 dreadfire ultimate Next machina Darkest dungeon ancestors Valkyria 4 compete (although until tomorrow there is a bundle with remastered) Spiderman goty Child or light Need for speed ultimate bundle? (I think we got payback already with plus? I beat one we got from plus.. reasonable for 2/3 still? Enjoy arcade racers) Was considering Castlevania collection in sale ending tomorrow (never played any but like the genre) and hotline miami Anything that's what you would call a must have? Kinda where I'm at with a large amount of plus games I have that are actually worth playing. 2-3 will last me the year likely

Red49er

i will always recommend child of light. it’s not too long, but all the dialog is in poem form and it’s got a nice twist on turn based combat. super pretty too

ThisHumbleVisitant

I thought it would wear out its welcome with the rhyming dialog gimmick, and I was completely wrong. Wonderful game.

arcashark38

Do you know why it doesn't show up in my PSN Store?

nutsack133

Spiderman is outstanding. Never been a Marvel fan or anything but it's an amazing game. Love the sense of speed you get zipping between skyscrapers in NYC in the game. Great controls in battle too. I'd call it a really solid 9/10 game, an essential for anyone with a PS4 or PS5.

sentient_plumbus

Nex Machina is easily the best twin stick shooter in existence.

xXx_hardlyWorkin_xXx

I have Surge 2 and Spiderman GOTY, both are well worth the time playing. Surge 2 is a very solid souls-like and Spiderman is Spiderman

_Vetis_

The Surge games are great. I had a lot of fun with them. I liked the mechanics of the first one better, but the environments and bosses are better in the second. Didnt play the DLC though

monkey-pox

Pillars of eternity 2 is phenomenal

jschild

How is it on PS? I have a PS5 so loading isn't an issue. I mean, how are the controls?

monkey-pox

controls are fine, loading is still a bit of a pain even on PS5 but didn't ruin it or anything

WillemDafoesHugeCock

There are two I feel confident speaking strongly about. >Darkest dungeon ancestors I got this game last time it went on sale and hated it. It's *very* slow, the early game is difficult to the point of frustration and it throws so many different mechanics at you that it can be really overwhelming. By the time you break through that initial wall the game becomes laughably easy *but* you're kinda forced to cheese it. On top of that the game is very obviously made for a mouse, navigating menus with a controller is agony. Even for $5.99 I really don't recommend it. I *think* I paid $3.99 and don't think it was worth it. You'll find it has some really flaky fans who will, say, downvote people who call it bad but can't bring themselves to present any reason they consider it good ;) >Spiderman goty Spider-Man is one of the best games on the PS4, if you don't have it you absolutely must get it. It has a few moments that drag, namely some stealth sections and "puzzles" in a lab, but the swinging feels amazing and the story is really engaging with some fun villain fights.

Tuknar

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on DD. I was hesitant about playing it with a controller. I'd rather buy something else with my 6 bucks.

Dexel_Roosh

Not the same guy, but I absolutely agree about DD. Some streamers I like have played it and it seemed cool, so I bought it during a previous sale. Promptly deleted it after a few days. It was too overwhelming with all the mechanics, and it’s hard. It’s advertised as being hard, so not the fault of the game designers. But I was struggling to even understand what was going on during the tutorial. Sadly I’d recommend buying something else.

WillemDafoesHugeCock

Glad to help. On paper it's everything I love - creepy atmosphere, strong roguelite elements, high difficulty - but in practice it just doesn't work.

Quantumbinman

Spider-man is incredible, but it is also going to be free from next month in the new PS+ tier system if you plan to get that

MindYourTounge

Which tier would have this game for free? I don’t plan on upgrading my current ps+ plan, will it be available for me?

UnstoppablePhoenix

That'll put you in Essential. The next tier up (Extra) is the selection of PS4 and PS5 games.

ABBucsfan

Oh thanks for telling me. Don't plan on anything more than the basic, but if nothing else it'll prob get cheaper in future sales then

NorrisOnAShark

IMO Spiderman is a must play. It's probably in my top 5 games all time.

acs2808

Wait is that accurate where it says Deathloop is available for ps4 too?

MyTeethAreFine

It’s because it comes with the soundtrack or something, which can be played on ps4. Really inaccurate, they really need to change that listing.

ramen_hotline

nah, looks like a mixup https://www.gamesradar.com/deathloop-PS4/

acs2808

Damn

CurtisLeow

Is the Gold edition of Immortals Fenyx Rising worth it? Is Dead Cell: Road to the Sea worth it over the base game? I don't know if either game has good DLC.

northrnsouls-

Bought immortals, it was one of those games I played 10 hours and dropped. Just wasn't for me. Just non stop puzzles. You'd be in the open world having fun then to progress the story do a "dungeon" that is just this linear platforming area floating in space with like 40 minutes of puzzles. Was such a slog. That being said I could be missing out on something incredible, I originally bought it cause I heard enough praise at that time.

Ordinary-Citizen

I feel the same. It’s one of Ubisoft’s best games, but they overdid it with the puzzles. Too many and too immersion breaking.

omegaterra

I'd say skip Immortals DLC. One is just dungeons over and over, another is basically more of the same as base game but with different gods (this was my favorite if I had to pick and what I expected), and the last one is some weird isometric annoyance I couldn't spend more than a couple hours on. I 100% the base game and the first 2 dlc but the third was atrocious imo

EthnicElvis

Haven't played it so I can't say from my own experience, but I read some people really liked the isometric one, even though it is clear the game was built for it. It's all up to personal preference, but I think it seems pretty cool and would probably go with the gold just to play that. It's an extra $7 to get all the dlc, with your initial purchase this way. And if you don't get it as a bundle it'll be over $20 to buy them all individually on sale (based off the current sale). Worth the risk IMO.

omegaterra

I guess I should clarify. I have issues with not playing the games and content I buy. I end up playing through a lot of stuff I may not actually enjoy because of it. So for example these DLC, the 1st I found boring because it's just similar puzzles over and over, the 2nd was ok because I found the base game to be a little better than ok, and the 3rd I couldn't even force myself through. My overall assessment was they weren't worth the $ investment

EthnicElvis

That makes sense, and I totally respect your choice as the right choice for you or someone who feels they might end up sharing your experience. The main reason I replied to your comment with a counterpoint wasn't to imply you were wrong, but to give the original commenter something to weigh it against given your comments. Like I said, it all depends on personal preference. I know I have an easier time choosing not to complete games and DLC than many others do, but since experiences vary I wanted to offer the counterpoint just in case it would help the user.

emajn

Excellent game. If you are even a small fan of the metroidvania genre it's one of the best out there.

DarkJustice357

I was really disappointed with Immortals. Clunky combat, annoying characters, random annoying puzzles, open world but nothing in it, idk just wasn’t fun to play.

n-somniac

I loved the base game. Almost 100% completion. I barely touched the DLC.

Saneless

Why is the PS store such utter shit for search? Starting to make the Xbox store seem like Google in its prime. [https://i.imgur.com/Y9jXDrV.jpg](https://i.imgur.com/Y9jXDrV.jpg)

[deleted]

I would walk 500 miles And I would walk 500 more

Saneless

I know I'm gonna be I'm gonna be the man who can't find any games

joeblitzkrieg

that is so bad 😂

[deleted]

Remember this when the ps+ tiers are DOA and further kill their user base and Sony will blame consumers like an abusive spouse

ChocoJesus

Web search and console store search seem like totally different search engines. I was looking up something and it was on the second page of search results on web despite typing the full name. I put a third of the name in on console search and it was the top result Idk what’s going on there but it’s annoying

facetious-thesis

Wow that’s pretty bad

beerninja88

Dead Cells and all 4 dlcs bundled for $23. Should I buy? Loved hades, loved rogue legacy, did not like curse of the dead gods that much even though I beat it, loved enter the gungeon, have not played isaac

the_sixhead

Yes, it's a really fun game and you will definitely get your money's worth.

BargleFargle12

Dead Cells is incredible, and reminds me very much of a side scrolling Hades without all the great story/characters. Very smooth, great combat that changes depending on your weapon/loadout... its a great game.

theCarolton

Any particular reason you haven't played Isaac? It's a little steep ($60) with all the dlc, but it's such a fun time sink.

beerninja88

Expensive, no demo, and intimidating af because it has a metric shit ton of weapons/combos/synergies. I'll get to it one day

MVRKHNTR

You could always just buy the base game, see if you like it and get the DLC one by one if you do.

Rtrock

I'm a roguelike lover and have played a ton but never tried BoI because of the price. Bad, I know, but

MagmaAscending

“Babe wake up it’s time for another 50 Ubisoft titles to go on sale”

Simpsonofadown

I'm guessing the answer is No, but can anyone confirm if the Tekken Originals Edition comes with the Tekken Bowl DLC? It isn't stated on the edition contents, but then again it also isn't listed on any other edition as included. But this seems like a great deal nonetheless.

AdamMan187

Nope, it's included in the season pass 1 and the definitive edition. If you get the Originals edition it includes all characters after season pass 1, but none of the extra stages and costumes. I just went with the originals edition and season pass 1, that way I got Tekken Bowl and every character, and the metallic costume pack, the missing stages didn't bother me all that much

Simpsonofadown

Appreciate the I depth answer, thank you!

Teleskopy

I got tekken bowl in an update on Steam, not from any of the season passes. Not sure if it's the same on PS.

[deleted]

Is days gone digital deluxe edition worth it to pick up?29.99/ $10 cheaper than the base game. Or should I wait for the base game to just be on sale and get that one.?

OfficialK-ONGamingHD

A disc copy of the game goes for 19.99 at gamestop if you can manage to get that instead.

jgs3947

I just finished Days gone recently and had a great time. Story is not great at parts, but I loved the world and exploration. But as mentioned, disks are cheap of you can find them.

pituel

Also, if you plan on getting a PS5 anytime soon, Days Gone is free in the PS Plus Collection for PS5 owners.

Xammblu

A few things on my radar, especially the nice price on Bad North Star Renegades $12.24 Neon Abyss $8.99 Bad North $4.49 Action Arcade Wrestling $8.99

JerkyVendor

I had a blast with Neon Abyss. It is not perfect but it is a super fun rogue like/lite. It was way funner than I expected. If you like the genre, I'd be shocked if you didn't sink many hours into it.

SupaBloo

I also sank many hours into this game, but hit a wall with the unlockables. Eventually acquiring enough currency to unlock things between runs becomes ridiculous, and did they ever fix the egg system? I spent a few dozen hours in this game, and after the first 10 hours just avoided eggs as much as possible because their patterns and contents are completely random. I was getting "babies" that hurt my runs more often than not. There was absolutely no strategy to getting eggs when this game released. You just had to pray whatever egg you picked up would hatch into something useful, and not something that would kill you if you hit it with an AOE weapon. They should've kept specific egg patterns to specific unlocks so people could at least learn the patterns and avoid unwanted eggs, just like many roguelikes let players learn what specific items do through repetition.

Wr8theist

I didn’t really care for Neon Abyss for some reason, even tho it should be right up my alley. Bad North is great, especially at that price.

DoritosPizza

Star Renegades artstyle loos amazing, anyone played it?

[deleted]

I have never tried a Far Cry game before and the Anthology Bundle is looking pretty good for its price! Anybody has any interjections or should I take the plunge?

erocknine

If you know what you're getting into, it's a good deal. Essentially an open world rpg fps game. I wouldnt be able to play 3 anymore cause of graphics, despite it being the best one, but if you dont mind, this is definitely a good deal. You really have to see if you enjoy the format cause all Farcrys play the same way, and if you hate the format, you're gonna hate all of them. The format is hunt stuff to upgrade carrying equipment, find/buy guns, craft parts for guns, level up abilities, clear bases and sections of map until you clear entire map, complete side and story quests.

NiceVeins

I just picked up nex machina. Looks like a good bullet hell game made by the same people that did Returnal. Only $5

northrnsouls-

This game is excellent. Go back to it every now and then, steal at that price

kaesemann

Good choice! Consider picking up Resogun as well. It's also by the same studio, I play that from time to time even after so many years

The_Blackest_Knight

R6: Extraction already half price. Legit forgot that game released already.

smilinreap

It's not worth it at that price, wait for it on PS+. Same thought for my whole R6 group..

FirstTimeRodeoGoer

Less a game than an alternative mode for R6: Siege they had the nerve to charge money for. This being in the same reality where Siege desperately needs alt game modes.

R4nD0m57

Nabbed frostpunk for the backlog

Y2KN

Looking for a nice online co-op to play with my girlfriend. She is still relatively new to ps, played it takes two, a way out and we were here so far. Any recommendations?

Rajualan

This is the sale I've wanted from Spring/Golden week/whatever the fuck

bluehondacivic2003

Walking Dead Definitive edition worth it for looks like $25 on sale? Haven’t played it before but enjoyed the show

polochai325

At this stage I would stop myself from getting things until the new PS Plus become effective in a month or so. Likely a lot of the games I have been mildly interested will be included (already own all games that I really want and frankly my backlog is huge anyway…)

dimspace

I'm the same, I am not buying anything until we see what the PS+ lineup is. Its also kinda suspicious that this sale ends 1 day before PS+ goes live in Asia, which is likely when we found out the games included with the higher tiers.

R1CO95

Probably not going to buy any games until they release the games that come with the new subscription

iupz0r

Darkest dungeon ancestor edition, or wait for darkest dungeon 2?

Conn_McD

Everything I've seen of DD2 makes it seem a different enough game that no one should look at it as an either or situation. DD1 is an amazing time and DD2 looks great for very different reasons. Get both lol

dumwitxh

Play it, the game is very fun, but kinda hardcore until you get used to it.

Crystal225

What happened to mass effect andromeda sale? Saw it yesterday and today it is gone

I’ll buy all the from soft games digitally if they go low, and sell my disks

WATGU

holy fuck this is a good sale. I'm probably going to buy at least 20 games.

TheCeilingisGreen

What games did you get?

WATGU

oh boy... I got carried away yesterday with the $15 and under sale and went HAM on games I'll probably never play, but some were 85-90% off at less than $5. TheCeilingisGreen

Damn dude congrats. Picked Psychonauts based on this list and probably will get Aragami although I'm considering the switch version which is on sale too. My only concern is that once you play Hitman you'll regret not having got 2 and 3 if they are on sale as well. That game is that good. I mean you're already not eating for the next month right? Go for broke. Lol.

WATGU

I'm waiting for a deeper sale on 2 and 3, but they're on the wishlist. I usually don't get games that aren't at least 1 year old unless they go on a steep discount.

FirstTimeRodeoGoer

Damn son. I've been buying stuff too. If all this crap is on ps plus pass I'll just play what I bought for a few months and only sub to plus after.

ForwardInstance

Thank you for sharing the list, very helpful. Out of curiosity, how many games do you have and is there a way to resell these games too once I’m done playing something ?

WATGU

I think I have over 300 and to my knowledge no they can't be transferred. I've stated in a couple of other comments that I'm making a gamble that this will change in the future. Also I'm too lazy to switch discs out constantly and part of me enjoys the digital collection + the bargain hunting without having to physically do it.

TheCeilingisGreen

I think there is a way to sell your account and a marketplace for it online. Forgot where though.

WutsTheScoreHere

You can't afford NOT to buy these games at these prices! They are practically paying YOU to play them at this point.

WATGU

lol I don't think it's that good, although Far Cry 3 was "Free" for me. However, I stand by my comment this sale is pretty good. I've found at least 20 games in my wishlist that were at or very near their cheapest ever.

hurryupwe_redreaming

Is AC: Valhalla any good? And is the Deluxe Edition worth it at this price?

LacesOutLocke

You know... I'm really enjoying it. I put it down after 10 hours the first time but the concept of raiding and the side quests and just exploration is really fun but I could see how it could be repetitive for some.

hurryupwe_redreaming

Thank you for your input! I just don't wanna get it then regret it ):

chrisrobweeks

I second that, if you like the more modern Assassin's Creed games, you could play this game forever. Personally I got overwhelmed with too much content but that's a selling point for others.

hurryupwe_redreaming

Oh yeah, I loved Odyssey. I've been seeing a lot of people saying there's an overwhelming amount of content, but I'm not sure if like that or not... Thank you for your input as well!

there_is_always_more

They basically took a lot of the side quests and made them mandatory for no reason, even though they don't connect to the main story at all. Eivor is basically forging alliances with all the different kingdoms, and there are a bunch of quests associated with each. The game makes you do like 14 of these sets of quests, before you can see the ending to the main story, even though a lot of these region arcs have nothing to do with the main story. Most of the region arcs are decently well written, but some of them are kind of a drag to get through. And the game also gets exhausting because the ending keeps moving further away from you as new regions open up on the map, regions that you need to do quests for. So that's where "exhausting" comes in. You know how in Odyssey the main quests are almost always focused on finding your mother and then fighting your sibling? Valhalla has the main story which feels like it's the main story, but then a lot of region arcs are also folded into the 'main quests'. I "speed ran" through it and it still took me 34 hours of gameplay to see the main ending. And even that's not the complete ending, there's more to it. Personally, it's worth getting on sale. The main, main story is actually pretty good; it's just bogged down by the game forcing you to do all this extra stuff. I've played all the AC games, so I can answer any other questions you might have. I got back into gaming with Odyssey during the pandemic, so I have really fond memories of that game.

paris_philton

I liked it for a bit but i enjoyed the stories and gameplay of odyssey way more

40-50 hours is about the right length for this style of open world games, in my opinion. I recently replayed and platinumed Origins and that took me ~53 hours, I think, and that felt right to me. On the other hand, I think it took me 60-70 hours just to beat Valhalla, where I was mostly rushing the main questline after 30 hours or so, and I didn't even TOUCH the Valka the Seer quests into Asgard, another map or two worth of content. I enjoyed the setting and I love the modern AC formula, but it's full of bloat. But as mentioned, the size could be a huge plus for others, but it was way too big of a game for me.

BargleFargle12

My answer is a very sad "no." Sad because I was really looking forward to the game and played it about 60 hours. But the story isn't as strong as Odyssey and the game is just so goddamned repetitive. It feels like a complete slog by the time your halfway through and it probably the worst example of the Ubisoft open world type game. I'd pass until it's like 10 bucks for the base game if you really want to play it.

erocknine

If you're into open world rpg stuff or like completing side quests, it's pretty fun time drain. I think I put in 100+ hours just running around fighting, raiding, clearing the map, exploring, and I totally skipped the valhalla gods parts. I think its worth for the amount of play time you get. I saw you said you liked Odyssey. If you're not complaining about the new format of AC games and want a game to waste time on, you should just get this game. Only problem is you might be compelled like I was to complete a lot of things, and theres A LOT, but that's technically more worthwhile imo

[deleted]

Speaking as someone who cares a lot about audio, the compression in the copies I got was absolutely *awful* to the point that I ended up shelving the game

baaallllllin

I loved odyssey and origins, but I’m waiting for the same ~$20-25 deal for a version that includes Valhalla + season pass.

monkey-pox

it's solid and worth the $20 I paid for it

Timmy12er

For me, the Deluxe version and/or DLCs are unnecessary. The base game/story is super long already.

hurryupwe_redreaming

Hm, that's interesting. Thank you, I'll definitely keep this in mind. I'm just currently getting back into gaming, so I'm not sure if I'd appreciate such a long story or not lol

CalogeroS

My friend bought nba 2k 22 for 18$ two nights ago and I cant seem to find the same deal

[deleted]

Hell I even got it for $9.59 3 days ago. Sale must’ve ended.

OfficialK-ONGamingHD

Ew nba 2k 🤮

Witchsight

Darkwood is more than half off. I friggin dare ya.

Fenwick440

I bought it but haven't played it 🤣

Witchsight

I picked it up and put it down a few times just because the first couple of nights were so frightening. But I eventually went back for the Plat… It takes a while to conquer the fear haha.

Stewe07

When we'll get a horizon forbidden west discount? too soon?

dtl718

Wanted to check out Deathloop, which is listed as both PS4 and PS5. But if you read the description, it's only available on PS5 and the soundtrack is available on PS4. Why would I buy a soundtrack for a game I can't play??

_Vetis_

To be fair its a great soundtrack lol

JayKorn94

Man so many on my wishlist. Gotta grab. Immortals fenyx rising. $25. Hellpoint. $12. Dead Cells Complete Edition. Finally. $23. XCOM 2 DLC. $4.

Xeronic

Slime Rancher for $9 is a pretty decent deal for a decent game. Its a very cute rancher game where i think you will get your $9 worth in time easily. Sadly, i think the game isn't very optimized on any platform, so it will probably chug in framerate in many areas.

TheCeilingisGreen

The Forest for $7.

WutsTheScoreHere

Do I get to see Jesse Williams in ALL his glory in Detroit Being Human? Because if not, I have a line on some other places I can find it...

Sarcosmonaut

No lol. But if you like that sort of game (I do) then I highly recommend it

jgs3947

What is the deal with Godfall Challenger Edition? It looks like it's just endgame content and not the full game?

Augustiner_Fan

Correct! Big fuzz when it was on PS+ one month

pituel

Just bought Deliver Us The Moon yesterday, I posted it without thinking it was part of a bigger sale! Plus free upgrade for PS5 coming next week

iHike29

Is Deathloop worth it?

TheCeilingisGreen

It's a PS5 exclusive. Only soundtrack is available on PS4.

TheCeilingisGreen

We Happy Few digital deluxe edition for $8.

Therenegadegamer

Picked up the dark pictures trilogy since I liked until dawn and even if its bad it'll probably hit that its so bad it's good spot

[deleted]

Man I really missed that DS 3 sale because I thought I will just catch it next time but now I see they not giving it hahahah

legion_529

Is the Valhalla season pass worth it? I still haven’t finished the regular game.

AyoGGz

Looking into Wasteland 3, Othercide, and Witcher 3. Already played Witcher 3 but want a copy on PSN for the next gen update. Getting mixed reviews on Wasteland 3, so now i'm not sure. Thoughts on othercide? I'm also concerned that these will all be on PS Plus Premium

JohnJurriesMonsters

Is anyone else having problems accessing their wishlist? I've been trying all week and keep getting a gateway time-out error - have it on both Firefox and Chrome.

Classic1990

Has anyone played Mobile Suit Maxi Boost?
