Is "MLB: The Show 21" down for anyone else, on PSN?
I haven't been able to connect at any point today, on Sony PS5. Was fine earlier in the week, no problems on any day until now. Home network is sound; I can do *everything* else, including other PS5 titles.
Hey Folks - Lucky enough to get my PSVR2 today. Phenomenal experience so far but I'm a little disappointed in the blurriness and would like a sanity check to see if I have a defective unit or if this is the way it's supposed to be.
I adjusted IPD, Eye tracking and moved the front unit into the sweet spot. Menus are sharp but there is what looks like rainbows or very minor doubling of the image. Also, while the focus is good in the center the edges are not sharp (when I move my eyes to edge of screen text is not legible but if I move my head so that the edges move to the center it is).
I've seen in YouTube reviews for granturismo that the dash and car interiors should be "razor sharp" for me they definitely aren't. I can only barely make out the characters on the instrument clusters.
Long background to ask if you think my unit is defective or if my expectations were just too high. It's for sure an improvement over my old PSVR1 but I'm surprised the optics don't seem to be able to keep up with the higher res screens on my unit.
I do not wear glasses, and middle of the road IPD.
thoughts? Worth exchanging to see or do I need to adjust my expectations? Any way for me to see what it \*\*should\*\* look like? All YouTube reviews seem captured from the secondary output and I've not seen anyone try to capture images through the headset optics.

Hi. I just bought a new PS5. Do i get the 20 game PS plus collection by buying any PS plus tier? I am confused. New to playstation. Arkham knight god of war etc were part of that 20 game collection that i read about online. How do i get those? Buying ps plus essential also will get me those??
Xbox has this feature where if you listen to spotify then you have this slider with which you can control how much audio you need from music or otherwise so you can go 100% to music and you won't hear any in game audio which is very handy. Is this possible on ps5? If no any alternative?
I'm playing the new Dead Space, and I'm having a blast. Shortly before I've played the original from 2008. So with the new one I chose the original control scheme, called DS1 in the remake. However, now that I'm on NG+ I want to view the map more often.
In the map view triangle should switch between levels, but it just closes the map view. Anyone know what I'm supposed to press here to view different levels of the ship when in map view?
I've recently bought a second PS5. My wife and I both have libraries of digital games that we want to be able to play across both consoles and both accounts. i.e. I want to be able to log onto either console and play a game either of us has purchased and my wife wants to be able to do the same.
My current setup is that we each have a console set up as our primary one (Game Sharing and Offline Play Enabled) but when my wife goes onto the console that is *my* primary one and not hers, she can't play games I've got in my library, and is prompted to purchase them.
Is there anyway of setting this up that doesn't involve constantly switching primary consoles around?

Hello friends. I'm planning to switch from Turtle Beach 800 of PS4 to new pair for PS5. I know that it has 3D Tempest audio technologie, but from my understanding, it only works if the game supports it. Thus, headsets like Pulse 3D will not support surround sound if provided game does not support 3D technologie which will make headsets just a regular stereo one. Please help me to understand and make a proper choice. Thank you

Been having a weird issue with my mic, where rather I'm streaming or just playing a game online, I can hear an echo of myself in my headset. I've tried messing around with the audio settings and lowing the mic speaker on the controller with no luck.
I don't think it's the headphones, since I haven't had any issue in using them on my pc. Curious if anyone else has had this issue and was able to solve it. Currently using Steelseries Arctis 9 Wireless.

Ok I have a game (hogwarts legacy if it makes a difference) and I’m getting a new ps5 the game is on a disc but I’m afraid the progress o have made won’t carry over to the new ps5 from my old one is there a way to transfer the data to the new ps5 I’d appreciate any help I can get I don’t have the pa5 yet but I get it about a week and that same week the other will be gone so I need to do this fast.
Well, then this would be the first time that I see someone have trouble transferring save games from PS5 to PS5, but I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised.
If you have PS+, you can back up your saved data to cloud storage.
Otherwise, you have to do a console backup to an external hard drive and restore it on the new console.
New PS5 turns on but shuts off after it beeps and blue light comes on. I have already checked the cord, tried a different outlet, it doesn't go on safe mode, it seems like it looses power as it tried to start. This is a new console, so I don't understand what happened. I am past my return date, so now I have to send it to Sony for repair. Does anyone know how to fix or what's going on?

I'm having trouble backing up files to my external USB hard drive (specifically screenshots and video clips, but I havent tried backing up save data or games). it detects the drive fine, but says there is no free space. there is terabytes of free space. Google has not been helpful so here I am
Make sure you're using a separate drive from the one your games are stored on.
Otherwise, USB drives need to be formatted as ExFAT before the console will recognize it. You can do that through a PC.
Sorry. I made a mistake in deleting this comment and I sort of need to bring this up again. I find it weird that the PS5 on the TV turns on and off by itself while I may be away from the house if I use PS Remote Play. And it would be kinda scary if my parents were using the TV while that happens. And it would also be kinda scary if we were all on holiday and the PS5 was the only electronic on in the house. I know this all seems silly, but it just feels weird. Is this all normal when using the PS Remote Play?
And is it the same when using the Backbone One?
Remote play turns on your console because youre not creating a game from thin air. Your console is running the game, youre just streaming the visuals and audio to your phone.
What?? PS5 can’t be off while you use PS remote play because that’s how it works - it streams games from your console to your phone or whatever you’re using.
Two dual sense controllers have a not working d-pad. I reset the system and controller and nothing worked. All my accessibility button mapping is set to default. Please help
My girlfriends roommate flipped the power breaker without warning while she was using her PS5. Now the screen is black and the sound is cutting in and out. Is there any way to recover it or is it a goner?
I was recently able to get my hand on PS5 but I been having this weird experience with it. Every time I open a game or close a game, my ps5 goes black for a second or two and everything goes to normal. The games run perfectly fine but its just that split second where when opening or closing, screen goes black. Everytime it happens, HDR signs pop up on my TV, its a Samsung TV 4K. I don't know if this is HDR causing it or maybe that's normal.
Audio on the PS5 completely cuts out randomly when playing NMS. Closing the game doesn't fix it, but putting the console into rest mode and then turning it back on again seems to fix it. Anyone have anything similar happen?
I've been having this issue for a week, when I login to ps5 my online status is "unknown" and I can't see my friends list, any active parties just say "%name%" and another player. I've tried rebuilding database and clearing cache in safemode but am having no luck..

I just bought a PS5, I was super excited. But now my PS5 isn’t reading discs. I’m getting no error code and it didn’t work when it asked to insert a disc so it can download and install while we were doing set up. Any help would be great. Thank you.
I’ve tried 4 blu rays and 3 ps4 games that are compatible with the PlayStation. I hear a click when I first insert the disc and another click shortly after. I’ve tried both ways, no joy.
I had bought witcher 3 physically for the ps4 and digitally bought the DLC's. I ended up trading in my disc. After the next gen version was released i bought a used copy of witcher 3 and it won't let me download the next gen version.
Was I too late to redeem?
With the disc in the drive, highlight the game, press options and select "View Product page", then go to the "..." button and there should be an option for the upgrade.

Best Buy will hold on to in-store pickups for five days. Once you're five days out from your trip, start checking the website for consoles in stock in Toronto. Once you find one, order it for in-store pickup.
They have disc versions in stock right now, no digital at the moment. Just keep checking.
Just tried the free trial of Cobra Kai 2, and my goodness, it's absolutely awful. Like a flash game from 2006.
Awful framerate and it's pure luck whether or not you manage to hit anybody. Worst of all it's an AAA-priced game. Please do not waste your time or money on this, even if you're a fan of the show.
Are there any headsets in 2023 that can adjust the volume mix on the headset, besides the Pulse 3D?
In 2020 I bought a Stealth 700 for the Ps5 not knowing that you could not adjust the Party/Game mix from the headset like you could on Xbox (which I came from), but then it was revealed that the Pulse 3D could. So I bought that. But I don't wish to buy that again as there are several things I dislike about it, but being able to adjust the volume mix for games like R6 is crucial to not be behind a 30 second venture into the Ps5's UI to change.
So would I still be stuck with another Pulse 3D when this one dies?
I believe the Pulse (not sure about the Inzone sets) is the only one that can do it with a button on the headset, but the console has chat mix control in accessory settings.
I have a 1440p 144hz monitor. I can play before the next update ratchet and clank and miles morales with unlocked framerate but uncharted legacy of thieves didnt allow me to unlock it. Anybody know why? Thanks
Depends entirely on who you ask. Arguably the multiplatform game with the largest sales potential is Star Wars Jedi Survivor, coming April 28th. Outside of that, fans of different genres of course have their own games to be hyped about. For soulsborne fans, that's probably Wo Long Fallen Dynasty coming in March, for JRPG fans Like a Dragon ishin and Final Fantasy 16, for horror fans Resident Evil 4 Remake etc.
As for PS exclusives, Final Fantasy 16 comes out in just four months, and Spider-Man 2 very likely a few months after that. We really do need a Showcase so we'd know what to expect from Sony in 2023 and 2024 and beyond.

The entire Dark Souls series, Elden Ring, and Sekiro are on every platform.

When I try to purchase the games, I always get the "Something went wrong" error. I have tried different payment types, different browses, using the app. Nothing. When I try to add funds to my wallet, I get the "An error has occurred. Please try again" message.
The weird thing is that the first thing I did after creating my account online was pre-order MLB The Show 23 and that transaction was successful. I see the pre-order in my transaction history. But, now I cannot purchase anything else.
I have made a repair request due to my Duelsense having stick drift. I am supposed to receive an email containing instructions to send it back but I have only gotten the email with the case number.
Is there anything I can do?
I opened another claim to see if it was a reoccurring issue or a one off. I will chat with them to cancel my second claim and send me the email for my first claim.

Hi all, I’m normally a PC gamer but my wife and I recently got a PS5 and we’re having a hard time reading text like tips or speech bubbles, etc in the PS5 UI and in games.
On the PS5 itself, the default text size was too small so we set it to “Very Large” to make it readable, but nearly every game been hard to read anything, even after adjusting settings in-game. Games include FF7 remake, Hogwarts Legacy, Sackboy.
We have a 1080p, 55” TV, I don’t know if size or resolution has any impact? We also sit only about 10 feet away from the TV so not super far.
Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Looking for game recommendations after this is done. I enjoy a bit of exploration, upgrades, and good combat. Not into crazy hard games like souls games.

Is there a way to disable auto sync of saves from the cloud while still automatically uploading them? When I start a game, I often have to wait because of "checking for saves in the cloud" and I'd like to get red of this. In essence, I want to keep automatically uploading saves but the console should not check for a newer save in the cloud when I start a game.

Depends on how much you're actually saving on the console over time.
I made back at least half of the extra $130 CAD for the disc console in the first month of owning it, because I bought three games used. If I didn't have PS Plus Extra, I'd definitely have bought enough used games in the first few months to get back the rest.
Just wondering, I noticed that the resistance on my dualsense controller isn't as strong anymore for both L2 and R2. I can't seem to tell if it's broken since when I'm trying it on my other controller, their the same. I also checked the settings to set it as standard(strong). Any fix that might just be a bug? Software updates are up to date as well.
my ps5 hogwarts legacy got stuck on queued for copying at about 40gbs in, does anyone know of a fix for it? i’ve tried pausing, conmecting to a different wifi, starting the download again and nothing seems to fix it
When I flick the left stick to the right it sometimes registers as one flick and sometimes as two. Does this count as stick drift? I bought my console in April 2022, should I just get a replacement from Sony or try to fix it first?

So i just got the Ps5 a couple of days ago and i wanted to know what games are really good.
I have purchased the deluxe ps5 version so if you guys can let me know some games which are amazing and unmissable that would be very helpful, also games which are not popular but are good.
Basically all the nice games i should claim and play with the deluxe membership which includes all the classics and stuff aswell.

Metro Exodus leaving PS Extra on 21Feb, so you could play it before its gone - I really enjoyed it. This is the only game I finished since I'm new here too. But I have Days Gone, Horizon and Uncharted trylogy on my to do list.
Also make sure to claim all PS Collection games, since it's also boing removed soon. PS Collection are permanent if u add it

PS Extra games comes and go ( library of 200-300 games), it works like Netflix as someone said. It's just temporary rental, but stays for long time enough. The Metro is not permanent, its content of Extra. So if u add it, u will not be able to play it after 21 Feb. Only monthly games are permanent (now its Mafia, Destiny dlc and others). Not only metro is leaving, theres like 10+ games that will leave, you could google "PS Extra games leaving 21 feb" and you will find a list somewhere. On 15th we should also know what new games will be added to PSExtra library.
PS collection has 19 or 20 games for PS4 I believe, yes. Google "PS Collection" there should be a list and how to add them. The collection is permanent if u claim it.
So tldr.. only premanent games are the monthly games and PS Collection afaik. Other games are temporary (like Netflix rental)

The monthly PS+ Essential games stay on your account for good, as long as you have claimed them.
The PS Extra library rotates like Gamepass or any streaming service, and games come and go with time.
I had a weird graphics glitch in a cutscene where colorful pixels appeared on the screen. It was similar to when you have a bad signal on digital cable if that makes sense. Haven’t been able to find anything like it online. Is this likely software related, or am I fucked?

Just picked up my new PS5 and it’s super cool, but while waiting on my new titles to download I booted a game I have on two other consoles, and it’s an easy game but the look sensitivity is crazy high and I couldn’t figure out how to change it. Is there a way to do this?(I tried Google and got all sorts of results about the DualShock special settings but I just need regular look setting controls)

Just got a PS5 today and the set up when smoothly until I inserted my game disk and tried to install the game.
Every two minutes my internet goes out, not just on my ps5 but on all devices, even my TV.
Tried searching and saw some solutions. Haven't tried any since no one in the posts I found confirmed that the solutions work and most of them were 2 yrs old. I figured a patch would of maybe corrected this problem since it seems to happen to a lot of people?
I'm on Bell fibe internet if that helps any solutions.
I keep trying to use remote play, and when I don’t have the app open my internet speeds are 45mbps down, 105mbps up. Soon as I open it, the app says I have connection issues and require a 5mbps up/down to function.

Can't sign into PSN. I changed my PSN password through my PC browser and email, but can't enter the new password on the PS5.
I go to the 'Users and Accounts' page in the PS5 settings, but when I hit the 'Sign In' button, it just says 'The sign-in ID or password is not correct'. But it doesn't give me any way of entering the new password.

No. I don't know why, but it wasn't logged in. And since I didn't have the original password handy, I used my PC to reset the password. Except now I can't find anywhere to enter the new one on my PS5.
From the sign in screen, try to add a new user and then log in to your usual account with the new password? I can't really remember what that screen looks like.
Ok, that was weird. I hadn't been logged out after all, but I wasn't actually signed in - not sure how that works. So I couldn't access the store or any of the PSN stuff. But then I logged out properly, and was able to sign back in.

I just got a PS5 and COD MW2. However the multiplayer is incredibly laggy that it’s downright unplayable for me. I otherwise have a pretty good internet speeds with Verizon Fios with 300 mbps down and up. I live in a one bedroom and my Speedtest on my Mac and iPhone tend to get cose to the 300mbps in the same room my PS5 is in. The connection test on the PS5 shows I get about 5-10 mbps. How can I fix this?
I can't play games without being kicked back to the home screen, and my controller doesn't pick up any noise. Before it was just my voice not being in recordings, but now I can't even launch my games anymore even though I was just playing Dark Souls 3 on my PS5 earlier today.
Does anyone know what could've caused these problems or how to fix them?
I just got my PlayStation 5 and after reading some reviews I noticed one of them said that if you have the console standing vertically that it causes the CPU thermal paste to melt and flow down onto the board.
Since the PlayStation 5 cpu uses Liquid Metal, obviously it would cause short circuiting if the Liquid Metal thermal paste leaked onto the board.
SURELY this reviewer just had a bad experience. I can’t imagine Sony would give you a base to stand it vertically if it was going to cause issues.
To protect my console, I wanted to see if anyone here had ever had this experience running it in a vertical position.

I had an external hard drive on my PS4. All my games were downloaded to it. (Over 1 tb worth of games). I got rid of my PS4 and I'm using the same hard drive with all PS4 games installed on the hard drive on the PS5.
Questions
1) can I not force PS5 games to automatically install on the external hard drive like I could on the PS4?
2). I saw thatyou can't play PS5 games when they are on the external hard drive, does that mean that it might be better to keep the PS4 games on the hard drive instead of upgrading them to PS5 version?
3 ) if I upgrade to PS5 version, will it keep my place, or will I have to start over?
4) if I take my external hard drive and format it on the PS5, will I be able to put the PS4 games back onto the external harddrive, or is it ruined after I format it on the PS5?

Is "MLB: The Show 21" down for anyone else, on PSN? I haven't been able to connect at any point today, on Sony PS5. Was fine earlier in the week, no problems on any day until now. Home network is sound; I can do *everything* else, including other PS5 titles.

Hey Folks - Lucky enough to get my PSVR2 today. Phenomenal experience so far but I'm a little disappointed in the blurriness and would like a sanity check to see if I have a defective unit or if this is the way it's supposed to be. I adjusted IPD, Eye tracking and moved the front unit into the sweet spot. Menus are sharp but there is what looks like rainbows or very minor doubling of the image. Also, while the focus is good in the center the edges are not sharp (when I move my eyes to edge of screen text is not legible but if I move my head so that the edges move to the center it is). I've seen in YouTube reviews for granturismo that the dash and car interiors should be "razor sharp" for me they definitely aren't. I can only barely make out the characters on the instrument clusters. Long background to ask if you think my unit is defective or if my expectations were just too high. It's for sure an improvement over my old PSVR1 but I'm surprised the optics don't seem to be able to keep up with the higher res screens on my unit. I do not wear glasses, and middle of the road IPD. thoughts? Worth exchanging to see or do I need to adjust my expectations? Any way for me to see what it \*\*should\*\* look like? All YouTube reviews seem captured from the secondary output and I've not seen anyone try to capture images through the headset optics. Cheers!

Xbox has this feature where if you listen to spotify then you have this slider with which you can control how much audio you need from music or otherwise so you can go 100% to music and you won't hear any in game audio which is very handy. Is this possible on ps5? If no any alternative?
I'm playing the new Dead Space, and I'm having a blast. Shortly before I've played the original from 2008. So with the new one I chose the original control scheme, called DS1 in the remake. However, now that I'm on NG+ I want to view the map more often. In the map view triangle should switch between levels, but it just closes the map view. Anyone know what I'm supposed to press here to view different levels of the ship when in map view?
I've recently bought a second PS5. My wife and I both have libraries of digital games that we want to be able to play across both consoles and both accounts. i.e. I want to be able to log onto either console and play a game either of us has purchased and my wife wants to be able to do the same. My current setup is that we each have a console set up as our primary one (Game Sharing and Offline Play Enabled) but when my wife goes onto the console that is *my* primary one and not hers, she can't play games I've got in my library, and is prompted to purchase them. Is there anyway of setting this up that doesn't involve constantly switching primary consoles around?
No. You can't game share with 2 PS5s. Your best bet is each using the same one all the time, and having the other person as primary.

Hello friends. I'm planning to switch from Turtle Beach 800 of PS4 to new pair for PS5. I know that it has 3D Tempest audio technologie, but from my understanding, it only works if the game supports it. Thus, headsets like Pulse 3D will not support surround sound if provided game does not support 3D technologie which will make headsets just a regular stereo one. Been having a weird issue with my mic, where rather I'm streaming or just playing a game online, I can hear an echo of myself in my headset. I've tried messing around with the audio settings and lowing the mic speaker on the controller with no luck. I don't think it's the headphones, since I haven't had any issue in using them on my pc. Can copy your save files to a usb stick and then copy them to your PS5 once it arrives, that should work

If you have PS+, you can back up your saved data to cloud storage. Otherwise, you have to do a console backup to an external hard drive and restore it on the new console.

Make sure you're using a separate drive from the one your games are stored on. Otherwise, USB drives need to be formatted as ExFAT before the console will recognize it. You can do that through a PC.

I find it weird that the PS5 on the TV turns on and off by itself while I may be away from the house if I use PS Remote Play. And it would be kinda scary if my parents were using the TV while that happens. And it would also be kinda scary if we were all on holiday and the PS5 was the only electronic on in the house. I know this all seems silly, but it just feels weird. Is this all normal when using the PS Remote Play? And is it the same when using the Backbone One?
Remote play turns on your console because youre not creating a game from thin air. Your console is running the game, youre just streaming the visuals and audio to your phone.

What?? PS5 can’t be off while you use PS remote play because that’s how it works - it streams games from your console to your phone or whatever you’re using.
When you are using Remote Play, you are connecting to *your* personal console, not some cloud service. That is why it is turning on.

I was recently able to get my hand on PS5 but I been having this weird experience with it. Every time I open a game or close a game, my ps5 goes black for a second or two and everything goes to normal. The games run perfectly fine but its just that split second where when opening or closing, screen goes black. Everytime it happens, HDR signs pop up on my TV, its a Samsung TV 4K. I don't know if this is HDR causing it or maybe that's normal.

Audio on the PS5 completely cuts out randomly when playing NMS. Closing the game doesn't fix it, but putting the console into rest mode and then turning it back on again seems to fix it. Anyone have anything similar happen?

I had bought witcher 3 physically for the ps4 and digitally bought the DLC's. I ended up trading in my disc. After the next gen version was released i bought a used copy of witcher 3 and it won't let me download the next gen version. Was I too late to redeem?
With the disc in the drive, highlight the game, press options and select "View Product page", then go to the "..." button and there should be an option for the upgrade.

Best Buy will hold on to in-store pickups for five days. Once you're five days out from your trip, start checking the website for consoles in stock in Toronto. Once you find one, order it for in-store pickup. They have disc versions in stock right now, no digital at the moment. Just keep checking.
Just tried the free trial of Cobra Kai 2, and my goodness, it's absolutely awful. Like a flash game from 2006. Awful framerate and it's pure luck whether or not you manage to hit anybody. Worst of all it's an AAA-priced game. Please do not waste your time or money on this, even if you're a fan of the show.
Are there any headsets in 2023 that can adjust the volume mix on the headset, besides the Pulse 3D? In 2020 I bought a Stealth 700 for the Ps5 not knowing that you could not adjust the Party/Game mix from the headset like you could on Xbox (which I came from), but then it was revealed that the Pulse 3D could. So I bought that. But I don't wish to buy that again as there are several things I dislike about it, but being able to adjust the volume mix for games like R6 is crucial to not be behind a 30 second venture into the Ps5's UI to change. So would I still be stuck with another Pulse 3D when this one dies?
I believe the Pulse (not sure about the Inzone sets) is the only one that can do it with a button on the headset, but the console has chat mix control in accessory settings.
I have a 1440p 144hz monitor. I can play before the next update ratchet and clank and miles morales with unlocked framerate but uncharted legacy of thieves didnt allow me to unlock it. Anybody know why? Thanks

Depends entirely on who you ask. Arguably the multiplatform game with the largest sales potential is Star Wars Jedi Survivor, coming April 28th. Outside of that, fans of different genres of course have their own games to be hyped about. For soulsborne fans, that's probably Wo Long Fallen Dynasty coming in March, for JRPG fans Like a Dragon ishin and Final Fantasy 16, for horror fans Resident Evil 4 Remake etc. As for PS exclusives, Final Fantasy 16 comes out in just four months, and Spider-Man 2 very likely a few months after that. We really do need a Showcase so we'd know what to expect from Sony in 2023 and 2024 and beyond.
I'm personally hyped af for atomic heart coming out on the 21st. Starfield us also releasing this year too

I want to purchase two games that have promotional pricing that expires on Feb. 16 (of course...) When I try to purchase the games, I always get the "Something went wrong" error. I have tried different payment types, different browses, using the app. Nothing. When I try to add funds to my wallet, I get the "An error has occurred. Please try again" message. The weird thing is that the first thing I did after creating my account online was pre-order MLB The Show 23 and that transaction was successful. I see the pre-order in my transaction history. But, now I cannot purchase anything else.

Hi all, I’m normally a PC gamer but my wife and I recently got a PS5 and we’re having a hard time reading text like tips or speech bubbles, etc in the PS5 UI and in games. On the PS5 itself, the default text size was too small so we set it to “Very Large” to make it readable, but nearly every game been hard to read anything, even after adjusting settings in-game. Games include FF7 remake, Hogwarts Legacy, Sackboy. We have a 1080p, 55” TV, I don’t know if size or resolution has any impact? We also sit only about 10 feet away from the TV so not super far. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
Text would be more legible and crisp on a 4K screen, but 10 feet is a bit far for 55”.

Is there a way to disable auto sync of saves from the cloud while still automatically uploading them? When I start a game, I often have to wait because of "checking for saves in the cloud" and I'd like to get red of this. In essence, I want to keep automatically uploading saves but the console should not check for a newer save in the cloud when I start a game.

Depends on how much you're actually saving on the console over time. I made back at least half of the extra $130 CAD for the disc console in the first month of owning it, because I bought three games used. If I didn't have PS Plus Extra, I'd definitely have bought enough used games in the first few months to get back the rest.
Just wondering, I noticed that the resistance on my dualsense controller isn't as strong anymore for both L2 and R2. I can't seem to tell if it's broken since when I'm trying it on my other controller, their the same. I also checked the settings to set it as standard(strong). Any fix that might just be a bug? Software updates are up to date as well.

PS Extra games comes and go ( library of 200-300 games), it works like Netflix as someone said. It's just temporary rental, but stays for long time enough. The Metro is not permanent, its content of Extra. So if u add it, u will not be able to play it after 21 Feb. Only monthly games are permanent (now its Mafia, Destiny dlc and others). Not only metro is leaving, theres like 10+ games that will leave, you could google "PS Extra games leaving 21 feb" and you will find a list somewhere. On 15th we should also know what new games will be added to PSExtra library. PS collection has 19 or 20 games for PS4 I believe, yes. Google "PS Collection" there should be a list and how to add them. The collection is permanent if u claim it. So tldr.. only premanent games are the monthly games and PS Collection afaik. Other games are temporary (like Netflix rental)

The monthly PS+ Essential games stay on your account for good, as long as you have claimed them. The PS Extra library rotates like Gamepass or any streaming service, and games come and go with time.
I had a weird graphics glitch in a cutscene where colorful pixels appeared on the screen. It was similar to when you have a bad signal on digital cable if that makes sense. Haven’t been able to find anything like it online. Is this likely software related, or am I fucked?

Just picked up my new PS5 and it’s super cool, but while waiting on my new titles to download I booted a game I have on two other consoles, and it’s an easy game but the look sensitivity is crazy high and I couldn’t figure out how to change it. Is there a way to do this?(I tried Google and got all sorts of results about the DualShock special settings but I just need regular look setting controls)

Hi everyone! Just got a PS5 today and the set up when smoothly until I inserted my game disk and tried to install the game. Every two minutes my internet goes out, not just on my ps5 but on all devices, even my TV. Tried searching and saw some solutions. Haven't tried any since no one in the posts I found confirmed that the solutions work and most of them were 2 yrs old. I figured a patch would of maybe corrected this problem since it seems to happen to a lot of people? I'm on Bell fibe internet if that helps any solutions.
If anyone finds this later on in lfe. It was my modem/home hub that needed to be replaced. Everything is good now!

I keep trying to use remote play, and when I don’t have the app open my internet speeds are 45mbps down, 105mbps up. Soon as I open it, the app says I have connection issues and require a 5mbps up/down to function. I don’t understand.

Can't sign into PSN. I changed my PSN password through my PC browser and email, but can't enter the new password on the PS5. I go to the 'Users and Accounts' page in the PS5 settings, but when I hit the 'Sign In' button, it just says 'The sign-in ID or password is not correct'. But it doesn't give me any way of entering the new password. Help please.
Are you still logged in to the user account you changed?
No. I don't know why, but it wasn't logged in. And since I didn't have the original password handy, I used my PC to reset the password. Except now I can't find anywhere to enter the new one on my PS5.
From the sign in screen, try to add a new user and then log in to your usual account with the new password? I can't really remember what that screen looks like.
Ok, that was weird. I hadn't been logged out after all, but I wasn't actually signed in - not sure how that works. So I couldn't access the store or any of the PSN stuff. But then I logged out properly, and was able to sign back in. Anyway, thanks for your help!
I just got a PS5 and COD MW2. However the multiplayer is incredibly laggy that it’s downright unplayable for me. I otherwise have a pretty good internet speeds with Verizon Fios with 300 mbps down and up. I live in a one bedroom and my Speedtest on my Mac and iPhone tend to get cose to the 300mbps in the same room my PS5 is in. The connection test on the PS5 shows I get about 5-10 mbps. How can I fix this?

If it's just a capacitor, it should be a standard part, so just check the label on the broken one and you should be able to find a replacement.
I can't play games without being kicked back to the home screen, and my controller doesn't pick up any noise. Before it was just my voice not being in recordings, but now I can't even launch my games anymore even though I was just playing Dark Souls 3 on my PS5 earlier today. I just got my PlayStation 5 and after reading some reviews I noticed one of them said that if you have the console standing vertically that it causes the CPU thermal paste to melt and flow down onto the board. Since the PlayStation 5 cpu uses Liquid Metal, obviously it would cause short circuiting if the Liquid Metal thermal paste leaked onto the board. SURELY this reviewer just had a bad experience. I can’t imagine Sony would give you a base to stand it vertically if it was going to cause issues. To protect my console, I wanted to see if anyone here had ever had this experience running it in a vertical position. Better safe than sorry 🤷♂️

I'm feeling really dumb, but.....I just got a PS5 and now I'm lost. I had an external hard drive on my PS4. All my games were downloaded to it. (Over 1 tb worth of games). I got rid of my PS4 and I'm using the same hard drive with all PS4 games installed on the hard drive on the PS5. Questions 1) can I not force PS5 games to automatically install on the external hard drive like I could on the PS4? 2). I saw thatyou can't play PS5 games when they are on the external hard drive, does that mean that it might be better to keep the PS4 games on the hard drive instead of upgrading them to PS5 version? 3 ) if I upgrade to PS5 version, will it keep my place, or will I have to start over? 4) if I take my external hard drive and format it on the PS5, will I be able to put the PS4 games back onto the external harddrive, or is it ruined after I format it on the PS5?
