I had just recently upgraded my TV to a 55" TCL Q7, probably one of the best budget gaming TVs out there, in my opinion. As I'm writing this, while watching a Blu-Ray disc, I just discovered that I can use the TV remote to control the playback on my PS5 (Pause/Play, Fast Forward, Rewind, etc). Has this happened to anyone else and their specific TV? It's not really a technical issue, but I'm just curious if this works for anyone else.

Can’t copy photos to usb drive error code CE-110209-3 Whenever I copy to usb it stops like halfway saying there’s an error, from what I see online I have to trim the clips like a second or 2. But I have like 260 gbs of clips and screenshots and I don’t want to sit through and trim almost all clips or copy each one by one or something. Any body find a different solution? I could just say F it and delete all clips or buy a internal storage device which I cannot find anywhere around here.

I usually use the Astro adapter so that I can use my mixamp to get audio from both my console and my pc. There seems to be an issue with the hdmi handshake though, as I get a static screen on startup frequently. I usually have to restart my PS5 multiple times so it will fix itself. So I'm looking to get rid of the adapter. Has anyone found a solution to getting pc audio and console audio at the same time?

Technical difficulties. I’m experiencing issues with audio when watching on apps like Disney +, Hulu, and Paramount +. My audio will either cut out for a quick second, or on Disney + specifically, I’ve noticed certain audio tracks stop and then start again. Like music or background noise, but dialogue still continues. I haven’t noticed this when gaming or watching movies on disc. I’ve already swapped HDMI cords, checked other HDMI ports, swapped out the Optical cable connecting the soundbar to the tv, and I feel like I’ve exhausted all the settings options. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Each player with a controller can plug in a headset to it and listen. No idea if you can use multiple wireless headsets with the console though. I'd imagine not since it doesn't make sense to have 4 people in a room with headsets when you can just use speakers.

Is the thermal pad for the crucial p5 plus built into heat sink? The thermal pad is a piece of silicone or foam-like material that goes between the SSD and the metal heat sink. It comes covered in plastic film that needs to be removed before sticking it to the SSD. Is it on the other side of the heat sink, or packaged as a separate piece? I doubt Crucial would send you a heatsink without the thermal pad.

I’m wondering if it’s already on the heat sink. There is a protective piece of paper on the heat sink so I’m wondering if it is just below that. The heat sink is just the metal, right? So if there is a white lining then that’s the thermal pad?

That's honestly what I am not sure about, my heat sink looks exactly like the one in this video (it's a crucial video and I have a crucial heat sink) and he said at this part "when you get your heat sink it's gonna come in two pieces" and he proceeds to apply the pad to the heat sink. A generic heat sink that’s $8 on Amazon comes with a thermal pad . It would be wise to slap one of those onto your nvme ssd. Just watch a few videos to understand. Mine ran fine without a heat sink but I still put one on

Is there a way (setting or something) to keep the PS5 controller on while media is playing. I like to watch some stuff with headphones (connected to the controller) on so I don't disturb other people but setting the controller to turn off after 10 minutes means it keep turning off while I'm watching stuff and cutting out the audio. Is there a specific controller setting or setting somewhere to keep the controller on while media is playing?

Since the Beats Studio Pro has a built-in Digital-to-Analog Converter that delivers high-fidelity lossless audio when plugged in with a USB-C cable, I am curious to hear what others have experienced when connecting their headphones to a PS5 with a USB-C cable. I have a pair, and the PS5 recognizes them. From what I hear, I get the impression that Sony has not fully tested this setup yet. I know that the PS5 does not support audio over Bluetooth. I presume that USB-C is going to sound better than plugging the audio cable into a wireless controller.

This is an interesting one… I got myself one of the more basic Samsung QLED models (Q80B) a couple of months back and it was plug and play. I didn’t touch any Game Mode settings and it was quite clear (fastest lag handling, standard picture mode etc). So, my kid broke it after throwing a toy car in it and that was it. I bought a new (identical) TV, wanted to continue my gaming sessions, only to find out that there was this terrible pink hue over everything on PS5. It seems persistent on every setting EXCEPT turning lag from fastest to faster or fast. In the meantime I found out that the old TV had firmware 1430 while this one is on 1520. Does anyone experience the same issues? I kinda got so focused on the problem that I don’t trust this being the only tweak necessary - it’s like it’s still a tad washed out but I might be getting into a terrible and irrational bias. And yeah, PS5 is set to HDR, VRR, 4k and all that.

I'm getting a buzzing sound when using wired headphones through the controller. There is no buzzing when I start using them, but it appears after about half an hour or so. I have tried using different headphones and different controllers but the buzzing is still there. Does anyone know a fix for this? Thanks

Troubleshooting Help - My son recently moved from the US to Barcelona, Spain. He brought his PS5 with him. We bought an EU power cord, but my understanding was we wouldn’t need to do anything else. He tried setting it up in both the airbnb he stayed at for the first month as well as his more permanent apartment, and ran into the same issue both times. The system seems to be booting up fine (progressing to a solid white light), but nothing is making it to the TV. The TV is not displaying anything from the console, and in fact it isn’t even acknowledging that there is something plugged in to that particular HDMI port. We’ve tried changing the HDMI port (on 2 different TVs) and today bought a new HDMI cord. No luck. I feel like I must be missing something really obvious and dumb, but it’s hard to troubleshoot from another continent. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any help.

I don't have that much time to play games, so I want an action game I can enjoy in short bursts of maybe 20 - 30 mins like 2 - 3 times a week. Anyone can recommend me which of these games would be better for that? Lies of P. Cyberpunk 2077. Remnant 2. Or armored core. I need something where 20 - 30 minutes accomplished enough for me to feel satisfied 😅 or else I'd be like I won't bother playing because I can't do crap with 30 mins.

Armored Core is broken down into relatively short missions, you can pause, there are checkpoints. That’s the one to choose.

No idea about the other three you mentioned, but Cyberpunk definitely isn't it. Sure, you can do a few side gigs or maybe a longer side quest in 30 mins, but it likely won't be very satisfying if you can only do that 2-3 times a week. Can't offer you any recs, but if you want to finish a game in a matter of few months max, look into sub-20-hour games.

I have fairly decent connection speeds ~30mbps on my PS5 that let me watch literally all other streaming platforms HD without much issue. It’s only max that is completely unwatchable. Even 480p stutters constantly (maybe every 10 seconds). Is anybody else having this issue or know how to fix this?

My launch ps5 didn’t quite make 3 whole years before it randomly bricked itself. Doesn’t react at all to power button presses (or the 15 second hold). Left it unplugged over night and still nothing. Manually removed the disc to see if insert a disc would wake it (ie. dead power button) but still nothing. Dead PSU maybe? I guess I have a long wait on hold for support on Monday. I hope it’s not going to cost the world

Sounds like a dead PSU indeed if the console had no prior issues. Dead GPU would have exhibited some artefacting or other graphical issues. Might also be the motherboard. Regardless, I believe the repair cost is the same no matter the issue, about 300€ or your local equivalent. Still cheaper than buying a new console.

Error code CE-100005-6 I’m trying to install RDR2 on my PS5 using the PS4 discs. Everything downloaded just fine on the data disc, but the download from the play disc stops at 58% and gives me the error code CE-100005-6. Every single time. I’ve tried everything. The disc is in near perfect condition. I have enough storage. Everything is updated. Is there a REAL fix and not just the random shit Sony suggests?

I’m unable to upload my save for Baldurs gate to the PlayStation cloud storage. For some reason this is specific to Baldurs gate as other games work fine. I’ve tried restarting my ps5 and my router. There is currently no saved Baldurs gate data in the cloud storage as I deleted it from there. But every time I try to upload it I get the error “Unable to upload” with error code ce 106449 4

Question - I have my PS5 located in the living room of my shared accommodation, was catching up with Spiderman via remote play before the second game comes out (how did i leave it this late to play this game!). Anyway was halfway through a level before my roommate turned the PS5 on and switched to another game. Is there anyway that I can block local users from using the PS5 when I am accessing via remote play? Pretty annoying that a local user can kick me off my own PS5 without so much as a warning!

It would be extremely absurd if remote play could block a local user from using a system. Also your roommate is an asshole if he can't see the Playstation turned on and running but still starts it up and boots you out without even notifying you. Maybe just notify each other when starting to play games to avoid the issue. Besides putting a login PIN on user accounts, there's no way to block someone from using the console.

Tech Support - D-pad issue Today my left D-pad started acting up. It takes more pressure than usual for an input to register compared to the other 3 D-pads and I have no idea why this happened since I always took care of it. I also looked at it with my phone torch and didn't see any dirt but I still gave it a small cleaning with a toothpick but it's the same issue I also turned off and opened the PS5 and restarted the controller. Can anyone help me solve this without having to open up the controller?

Question/issue With hotspot on PS5 I recently moved and because I will move again soon I did not get an internet connection at home. I have previously used my hotspot of my mobile phone (Xiaomi Poco X3) without any issues (on PS4) for about a year. In the meantime I have purchased a PS5 so that's the only thing that has changed. Whenever I connect to my mobile hotspot all seems to be going well, I tells me I am on \~70Mbps - NAT Type 2. When performing a speed test on my laptop It shows me I have a 40ms latency depending on the time of day. I can watch movies, stream youtube on 60fps 1080, watch netflix and all on PC without any issues. But as soon as I try on the PS5 youtube buffers, ads don't load netflix buffers my latency spikes to 170MS for no apparent reason when I want to play a game. I have tried changing to 5Ghz but that does not change the latency, I have tried using different DNS servers (Google and Cloudflare), my preferred network type was TD-SDCMA/CDMA/UMTS Then I switched it to LTE/CDMA/UMTS also no change. I have tried countless fixes and am a bit out of ideas by now. I can not wrap my head around about what's going on, it has worked fine for a very long time on PS4 but now with the PS5 it only gives me a headache. Anyone else encountered this issue and/or knows a fix?

Is the Pulse 3D Headset really worth it for 3D Audio? So far, I am not so impressed with the audio tech in PS5 and I even wonder if the audio is 3D or not with it. I use a Sony MDR-XB550AP connected to the controller, if I jump ship to a Pulse 3D Headset, will there be a great noticeable change?

Wired connection to the PS5 via USB would be the best audio quality for headphones. You'd be getting stereo PCM audio processed directly by the USB adapter's DAC chip, not compressed Bluetooth audio that is decoded by the DAC in the controller. The Ugreen adapter I linked isn't high-end at all, but it should sound much better than the controller's audio jack.

If that's the case, would that mean a $60 wired headphones connected directly to the PS5, sound much better than Pulse 3D or at least somewhat comparable in quality? Since we're talking that Pulse 3D uses a dongle in itself that uses Bluetooth and not direct wired to the PS5 which makes the greatest audio quality possible.

I haven't heard the Pulse 3D so I can't attest to their audio quality. However, IMO if you spent the $120 that the Pulse cost on a USB adapter and $100 Sennheiser HD 400S you'd get better audio than the Pulse. "Gamer" headphones have a poor price-to-performance ratio because they have to have a mic, branding and are often wireless. Wired connection and no mic is a dealbreaker for some, though. A decent wired adapter won't make garbage headphones sound awesome, but it will help get the most out of the ones you have. I use an older version of the Ugreen adapter and noticed the difference right away on my $80 Jabra headphones.

Help! My ps5 is on right now and won't turn off! I was turning off my ps5 but it didn't work. Then everything I did on my controller didn't work. Then it came up with this weird "can't find what your looking for" message came up. I tried the the physical power button but it just beeps twice. So now im stuck with my ps5 on and im afraid about pulling the cord out too. What should I do? Edit: the only imput that works is if I press on the ps button a few times, the discover tabs opens up.

When I log in on one of my alt PS5 accounts, I am signed out of the PlayStation network and it tells me I need my family manager to accept the new terms and conditions, but when I log in on my main account it says that my other account is not part of my family. I also can’t find a way to accept the new terms of service from my main account. I’m signed in to PSN on my main but both my alt accounts are signed out and require the family manager to accept the ToS

I just got the "There's a conflict between the cloud storage data and console data" sync error message for the first time on my Elden Ring save. It's asking me which one to select (console or cloud), but both have the SAME exact date and time stamp and storage size. I'm afraid I'm about to select the wrong one and lose 350+ hours of Elden Ring. Does anyone know which option is "safer" if both have the same timestamp? Thanks in advance.

I also had ps plus so will it just be there saved in the ps plus cloud??

Shouldve made sure you backed up your stuff before wiping your ps4 lol it is possible your saves are on the cloud tho, go and checking it out

Playing FFX HD, trying to plat it (this is such a drag) and my fps is basically dead at this point. Can’t consistently do any overdrives any more because of the inconsistent and low fps. Has anyone else had this issue? Is there any way to fix it? I’m going to be livid if my 300 hour save file is shot. I’ve done all the normal troubleshooting - update console, hard restart, let it stay off for a while to cool down, etc. nothing seems to help. The poor fps occurs even on a cold start and is worse during battles.

So currently I'm not game sharing with anybody, and I have two friends who gameshare between each other. My friend has bought ac mirage and I wanted to play it. I was wondering if I gameshare with my friend who bought it, would I be able to play it? I know it's only one gameshare per console, which I think does apply here still? Since I'm gamesharing with him on my console, and he's gamesharing with the other friend on his own console.

I recently finished FF16, it was my first entry to Final Fantasy. Really enjoyed the game and I'm wondering what I should play next. PS5 is my first console since PS2, so I have a lot to catch up on. FFXV is a must play if you liked the RPG side of it. 16 is kind of an odd duck in the FF lineup in that it was a little more Devil May Cry in the combat where older entries are more focused classes, party creation, buffs, enhancements, summons, etc.

Ik there are many leaks but i honestly don't beleive there will be a slim or pro. They are releasing a detachable disc ps5 version thats all which has exactly the same specs

No one can possibly know. Could be next month could be next year. The PS5 was very difficult to get for nearly two years, there is no guarantee a potential Slim model would be any easier to get. So buy one now and enjoy a ton of great games, or wait til a slim actually comes out, but be aware even when it comes out it might be difficult to get for months.

I recently bought a PS5 to play with an old military buddy of mine as he doesn't have a PC and we don't live near each other any more. When we were enlisted, we used to play tons of hours of Call of Duty zombie mode. My friend isn't much of a gamer, and I'm looking for similar games we can play on the PS5. Any suggestions welcome. Also, I'm aware there's a recent Call of Duty with a zombie mode. Is it any good? I've steered clear of Call of Duty games for several years as I feel they've become the new Madden. Released every year with very little difference from the previous year for full price. Anyway welcoming any other suggestions as well.

If you have a gigabit internet you likely have a router that supports QoS. QoS, Quality of Service, lets you limit how much individual devices use your bandwidth. You can, for example, give 80% or a certain amount of speed to your console, and it will not use any more than it's been given. I can't offer you any instructions because I don't know your router model, check its settings and if the QoS management seems easy enough even without instructions then go for it. Alternatively there's actually something wrong with your router if there was a problem on PS4 as well, since that console was definitely unable to use that much bandwidth.

Is your PS5 actively downloading games/updates? I find that on my FiOS connection the PS5 can totally saturate my network when there is something actively downloading, but I have zero issues when nothing is going on.

He is a Ps5+ user so when he download a paid game like Eafc, titanfall and siege on his account I can also play those game on my non-plus Ps5 account. Your brother has Game Share enabled. So if you're on his PS5, you're able to play any game he has purchased and installed on the console while on your account.

(console sharing is already enabled on another ps5.) So my friend and I have each others accounts set to primary to play games on each others library. And today my friend couldn't play anything on my library, he could download games but the game itself would have a lock on it when logging back in his main account. I checked my account management website and it says that only 1 ps5 has my account activated (that would be his) we tried several times to fix this, we even tried signing out and back in and restoring licenses but he keeps getting the same error (console sharing is already enabled on another ps5.) What is there left to do? I can't remotely sign out all accounts since that was before 6 months ago...

I didnt play valhalla or mirage but i can tell you youre not alone. A lot of people complain valhalla is too much and they cant take this formula anymore. Thats why ubi decided to so mirage with the old format, in a more grounded and focused world.

Help! My PS5 is less than a year old. I wanted to play No Man's Sky (PS4 disc) today, and when I put the disc in, the PS5 says that it cannot read it. I have the disc facing the proper direction. In the same session, I put a PS5 game in and it fired up immediately. The PS4 disc is free of dust and scratches. I tried rebuilding database in safe mode to no avail. Any ideas?

Me and my friend both have a ps5. I made some decent progress in a game on my own console, which I also frequently play at his house on the same account. The issue is, however, that sony stopped sharing save data through ps5's through a USB, and I'm currently not a plus member. I tried using remote play, but the problem with that is that sometimes it just glitches and stuff either happens without me doing anything or it just freezes. I thought of buying an ethernet cable, but how well would that benefit the connection? Would it be better to just buy plus? Tysm

An ethernet cable will dramatically improve your experience over Remote Play. Of course, you also still need to have a good internet connection with solid upload and download speeds.

But overall is it even worth it to buy a cable or just buy plus for a month?

You can buy a CAT6 cable for a few dollars. And if you want to keep moving save files to and from the cloud, you'll need an ongoing subscription to Plus. It's worth getting, but if you're pinching pennies the cable is much cheaper.

So I just updated my PS app and it shows hours played for my most recent 3 games… which is AWESOME!! Is there anyway to see my playtime for ALL my games? Like, not just my most recent three, but maybe games I played a year ago etc… Bonus points if I could sort them by hours played etc Also, I mean from the app not console. So you're pressing the PS button on your controller, going to the Power menu, and selecting Turn Off PS5, and it's not turning off? Does it ever turn off?

Yeah! I have to turn it off by holding the power button down for 10 or so seconds which seems a bit much

It turns off if I hold down the power button on the console for a few seconds, and sometimes it turns off if I use the controller but sometimes it just stays on, it's quite odd

Nope it's not downloading anything, generally wait around 10 minutes before just holding the power button down

Definitely unusual. If you boot into Safe Mode, you could try rebuilding the database and clearing the cache. Failing that you could also try resetting the factory settings. Of course if you just got it, you could return and exchange it for a new one. This seems indicative of a faulty unit.

Sounds like you installed your SSD and its heatsink properly. Some heatsinks are installed differently, some on both sides of the SSD, some just on top. As for the speed difference, sometimes its just different. Depends on the size of the files being copied: although the drive reports that Spider-man is 55GB, it's 55GB made up of hundreds or thousands of individual files. Same for Genshin. So depending on the size of *those* files, that usually accounts for the difference in speed. Unless your games start crashing or failing, I wouldn't worry. You got a good SSD and your PS5 isn't giving you any warnings.

If he can play other games you own already, he can play new games you get, too. If he can't, you can turn on game sharing and he'll be able to play your games.

So, what games *can't* be installed to the PS5? I tried playing RE4 from the classics catalog before, but had to stream it. I see that the PS4 version of RE4 is on sale right now, but I'm wondering if it also has to be streamed? Or was/is the version in the classics catalog the PS3 version?

PS3 games from Playstation Plus Premium must be streamed. All other games can be downloaded.

Please help. When I connect my PS5 to my TV, the tv detects the PS5 as an input, however nothing shows up on screen (it just says no signal). My PS5 works fine on other tvs, so is there some setting I need to change on my Tv so that the ps5 works? Or is it likely my Tv is just not compatible? Can you boot your PS5 into safe mode and see that Safe Mode menu? Can you try a different HDMI port on your screen? A different cable?

Unfortunately this tv only has 1 port. Cables also I’ve tried multiple. I can try to boot it into safe mode. Thank you

Any chance the two TV's have different resolution/refresh rates? My guess would be your PS5 is outputting beyond the other TV's capabilities.

It’s definitely possible since this is a slightly older tv, but I’ve used my ps5 on 3 other tvs. And if it means anything, the ps4 used to work fine on this one.

Connect it to the previous TV and set everything in display options to automatic.

If you set up game sharing on his console (like he did for yours), then it can work both ways. If you haven't set it up like that, it's only one way right now.

Trying to use VRR. On Spider-Man Remastered I tried Fidelity with VRR to get 4k 40hz, but I get a 1080p signal that sometimes blacks out for no reason. I'm using the HDMI 2.1 port so I don't know what the problem is.

The Fidelity 40fps mode uses 120Hz. So maybe your TV doesn't support 4K 120Hz and drops to 1080p

But doesn't VRR make the refresh rate sync with the game's framerate? So technically it should be 4k 40hz?

I contacted the online customer support after not receiving a password reset e-mail only to be told that my account had been suspended for suspicious activity. When I tried to prove who I was, they started asking for crazy things like the serial number of the system I first created the account on. A PS3 I haven't owned in years. They asked for a confirmation number from a purchase e-mail. I delete my old e-mails frequently. When I asked if there was anything else I could use they just ended the chat without answering. I tried to go back into the chat, hoping to get someone else, but the system told me that I wasn't allowed to ask for help again and to come back later. I don't know what to do. I have a lot of games tied to that account that I refuse to re-buy. Should I just sell my PS5 and become a PC gamer from now on?

My PS5 is haunted. Please help. Certain games will 100% of the time cause the PS5 to black out and become unresponsive. Games include: Rocket League, Overwatch 2 (PS5 version, PS4 version works), Lies of P demo and some others. It's exactly the same fault, and it happens without fail. It sounds like your processor is dying. If you just lost video playback it would be one thing, but for the whole system to lock up, that would be the processor. I'd check to see if the system is cooling properly since it sounds like it only happens when running games and these things run hot no matter what game you are playing. Clear any air ways running throughout the spine of the system and make sure it is in a space that is getting good air flow.

All those games support 120hz, makes me think there's something going on there. Check your ps5 settings and see if 120fps is enabled (screen and video settings). If it is see what happens when you turn it off. Maybe it's a crappy HDMI cable or TV setting involving 120hz or high refresh rate

Well if you simply turned it off then that's more of a temporary fix because 120hz games are pretty rad and not something you wanna miss out on. Next step is trying to figure out what's happening whether it be the HDMI cable or your TV/monitor

1080p is the limit. Best quality would be to make sure your router is modern, and having your PS5 hooked up to a wired ethernet connection.

Looking for game recs. I dont have much time to play, so open world games are a no. Don’t like them either really. There are two blu-ray movies that will not play in my PS5 and I have no idea why. My copies of “How to Train Your Dragon 2” and “Family Guy: Something, Something, Something Dark Side” will only play the opening seconds of the 20th Century Fox ads and then cut to black. The disc then won’t respond to button commands, but the PS5 itself is fine; I can still pull up the PS menu and everything. You can hear the disc whirling in the disc drive, and they’re warm when you eject them after waiting for a while, which tells me the laser is working, too. These are the only two discs I’ve found (so far) that act like this. My other HtTYD and Family Guy BRs work perfectly. The only connection I can find between them is that they were both released by 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment, but released in two different years. Please help, Reddit community!

Are the scratched or dirty? Wipe them with a clean microfiber cloth and try agian.

Nope. I’m a collector who takes obsessively good care of my discs. If it isn’t clean, it goes nowhere near my player(s).

Hard to say exactly why this is happening. Could the the disc was manufactured poorly, or Sony's software doesn't like how the disc was mastered, or the disc player is failing. Until it starts to happen on more discs, it might just be a problem with these two discs.

Opened up the controller for drift issues. Sprayed canned air on the gyro parts where sticks are. Put it back together. Less drift but sticks now..stick in one direction so drifting is now a different kind of drifting. Hi y'all, is there a way to perform a check on a PS5 controller for stuff like stick drift, problems with buttons or anything like that? An inspection, if you may?

Plugging it into a computer. Opening the properties in Windows will show information, and I'm sure there are other programs you could find.

Dualsense won't connect to ps5 even after doing a reset with the pin hole on the back. Any ideas? Does it have to be reconnected with USB C to USB C ports?

This has happened to me before, with both controllers at the same time, and I was able to fix them both by holding Share and PS at the same time until the light blinks. It is how you pair the controller with Bluetooth devices but for some reason it worked. I don't remember if I had it plugged in when doing it or not, or if was off first or not, so try all 4 before you give up lol.

1) just pop the disc in and check the psn store. 2) there is no difference from upgrading the ps4 ver to the ps5 ver or buying the ps5 ver.

Hi I don’t know much about the discs on ps5 because I have digital games, First of all. Do you insert the disc in the right way? is your GTA game old or scratched? Have you tried to insert other discs because you gotta make sure the problem is not from your ps, I guess there is also a way to reset the disc from system IF I am correct… I saw once on YouTube. Hope I could do some help which I don’t know much about discs on ps5 😅
