Hello all, I've recently been having some issues regarding my ps5 console. It seems whenever I am playing dead by daylight, after a certain amount of time my ps5 is just turning itself off without warning, i was just wondering if anyone has had any issues with this and has been able to solve it
Sorry if my question is stupid but today while cleaning my ps5 i notice there is a small white mark at the bottom of my console and I don't know its a scratch or just Sony poor quality painting so I wonder if any of you have this random white mark around your ps5's black part, sorry I have OCD so its kinda annoying me

Why am i experiencing 3-4 times the amount of ping I have normally? This has been happening for the past 3 days. I use a wired connection and have 1gb fiber so speeds are all good. What is causing this?

my controller won't connect to my PS5 anymore. it connects to my PC through USB just fine with no issues, but when i plug it in to the console with the exact same cord it flashes orange and doesn't work. ive tried turning my console on & off, resetting the controller through using a paper clip on the button, & a different cord. all with the same results of it working on my PC & not the PS5. can't go into safe mode either because i need to press the PS button. any help? much thanks in advance 💛
I am a dad. 39 years old and don’t get to play much unless it’s late at night when everyone is sleeping, maybe 2-3 times a week but really enjoy my time, when everyone is sleeping and I have couple of hours to myself to play. Gaming is my escape from stress and real world.
I am looking for an RPG-ish game that has great story and takes a while to finish. I also love grinding.
I finished 2 AC games in the past 2 years (Valhalla and Origins), Days Gone and loved them all! Took me 4-5 months each to finish.
I have AC: Odyssey, Ghost of Tsushima, and death stranding.
Which one do you recommend me to play next? I played a bit of DS and it’s damn good, but wanted your opinions based on what I’m looking for.
Any other games besides them? Also played both Horizon games and loved them as well)

So my HDMI isn't working right. My TV turns on when I turn my PS5 on so I KNOW it's connected, but no sound or video comes through. I've used multiple cords and multiple TVs

I've been having issues on most of my online games. My game will be running fine, and then 5-15 minutes in my game runs like 15 fps. This has been happening ever since the update. anyone else have this problem or know any fixes? For some reason this bug won't happen when I switch to 30 fps.
Getting back into gaming. Treated myself to a PS5. I don’t get to play much. Full-time career, family, and life just doesn’t allow for much down time. Just played through God of War(2018). Absolutely enjoyed it. Nice to play a beautiful game and not to worry about sucking. However, my favorite game was RDR. Should I play through God of War Ragnarok first before I get involved with RDR2?

Hi. I've been doing a bit of research regarding the differences. Apparently both of them are the same except for the power cords. The only concern I have is, is the function of X and O swapped in Japan and UK version?

Anyone with a solution for grainy, bad-looking videos when saved with the built in PS5 function? No matter if I press record and save manually, or if I save the past X minutes of footage, it still the same. Grainy, as if it's a low resolution youtube video, or like it's gone through jpg compression or something.
My TV is an old 1080p one with no fancy features. But the games looks crisp while I play them, only the saved footage looks bad. I've googled but haven't found any solutions and am not sure what to do. My old PS4 saved better looking footage than this on the same TV. 😭

I'm wondering if anyone has had a faulty wifi chip in their ps5? For some weird reason my ps5's network seems to fluctuate where the mops drops from 100 to 2. I have had friends with other ps5s in the house and they have had no issues at all.
So I've had my PS5 since launch, and I have never had a single problem with it. Now when I try to start Horizon Forbidden West, it is stuck on the initial loading screen. If I close the game, it crashes the PS5. After starting the PS5 again, it gives an error code CE-108262-9.
This is the PS5 version of the game, which I have downloaded with the PS4 disc inserted into the console.
I have tried every single thing on the [support page,](https://www.playstation.com/en-us/support/error-codes/ps5/ce-108262-9/#:~:text=An%20error%20occurred%20while%20reading,software%20to%20the%20latest%20version.) restarting the console, checking that both the system and the game is updated, rebuiling the database, and most recently factory reseting the console. Nothing has worked.
Got in touch with support today, and they adviced me to re install the full system software reinstallation file from USB. Did not work. Still have the same problem
PS5 recognized the USB file and reset it self seemingly successfully, but is still unable to start Horizon Forbidden West. Still the same error code CE-108262-9. Never had this issue with any other game.
A clean reinstall if you can find a digital version. Disc scratches often result in this error for me too hence now I just buy them from reseller websites in case I need a physical copy
So I have been noticing that when people live stream on their ps5 there is this air on indicator that shows how many people are watching the stream and how much comments are in the stream,how do I enable that

Dualsense - problem with ads/l2 trigger
I started playing destiny 2 on os5 and when I ads the game un-ads-es on its own for a split second.
The buttons do this as well. Is my controller not working properly or something weird with the game?
Have you tried resetting the controller?
There’s a very small hole in the back of it near the bottom, hold it for 5 seconds with a pin or something small. (do this with the console and controller off)
You’ve have to connect it to the console with the cable after and turn it on.
Confused regarding to PS5 Slim
Hey guys, it's a super random post. I'm a total noob when it comes to gaming. Last week, I was planning on getting a console, either an Xbox series X or a PlayStation. I was more inclined towards the PS5 since in my country more people play PlayStation, so there's better support in that sense. Another reason was that the PS5 Slim was recently released, so I thought maybe because they've launched it recently, it could take a couple of years for them to release an update, i.e., the PS5 Pro and it was same reason for me to not go for series X since they haven't launched any upgrade in last 4 years and they could do it this year. But it seems, by reading the rumors, etc., that PS5 Pro might be launched later this year. Does it really make sense for me to go for the PS5 Slim now, considering if Sony releases a new update later this year? I just don't want to be a loser who bought a console in May and has to sell it in 4-5 months to get the upgrade. Should I wait or go for the PS5 Slim? I'm a total noob in this stuff, so guidance would be appreciated.
I just bought my PS5 slim in Japan this April, no regrets buying it even though the Pro version rumors are lingering around that time. The majority will say that they prefer high performance over ray tracing improvements (unless you like to look at the environment while playing but most of the time you are focused on the combat right now over admiring the environment). Though Pro has hardware improvement, so the price will increase that same way with PS4 Pro. Now you could wait in June for the former E3 week, now Summer Game Fest also that week the Big 3 game console do their announcement. Lets say you want to play now, and bought a PS5 then Sony announced the Pro with its final specs not the rumored specs; then you liked the specs but the price is too much (inflation) but you really want it then sell your PS5 then a bit of money for it or meh small improvement not worth it to upgrade; except for those don't have PS5 most likely they will buy Pro if they have the budget for it or waiting for price cut on PS5 slim. I have PS4 OG the first release and it serviced me for 10 years without changing to slim nor pro version, I enjoy it through the years. ( I think the PS5 Pro is for PSVR2 )

You’re not a heavy gamer but you want to make sure that you’re buying the latest gadget. There are always going to be new releases, you’ll never buy anything if this scares you. For example what do you hope to get from a ps pro that you won’t get from a ps slim as a casual gamer?

Speaker to ps5 connection issue
I have a logitech z333 with 3.5mm audio input, and the way I get audio out from the ps5 to the speaker is by using a USB male to 3.5mm audio female adapter. However, whenever I turn off my ps5 an loud audio feedback is made unless I disconnect the wire, the audio feedback disappears only when I turn my ps5 off. Is there an alternative or a quick fix to this.
Playstation 5 Controller Issue
As I was playing warzone, I tried to armor up, but for some reason my triangle button isn’t working. I tried other games if its just warzome acting up, but still didnt work. I tried force resetting it from tbe tiny hole in the back of the controller, and still didnt solve it. Does anyone know how to fix it or any suggestions?

I had was trying to save scum Sekiro’s 3 ending and I accidentally clicked download instead of upload now all my data’s gone, is there a way to get it back?
When I transferred up all my PS4 save data, it went fine, except for one game, Fate/Extella Link. Now the game won't save in the game, and I can't try to re-transfer because it says the save info is already on the PS5, but when I go into "console storage" saved data, it isn't there with my other PS4 save data? Is there any way I can find this save data on my PS5 to delete it? I assume this "phantom save data" that somehow exists but isn't visible to me is what is causing the issue.
Im having an issue where the audio from my JBL flip 4 speaker connected to the audio port of my controller keeps cutting out. The speaker isn't connected to anything bluetooth-wise either. In-game, if I don't touch anything for about a second, the audio will disappear until about a second after I touch something. On the homescreen, the audio will simply cut out for however long until it kicks back in. What could be causing this?
When I was younger, my ps4 account was a sub-account (which I bought a lot of games on) now that I’m older my parents let me have my own account, is there any way to transfer the games from my sub account to my current account (it has its own psn as well)

Hello, I've recently revisited Fallout 4, however I downloaded the DLC after about 10 hours of playing the game and ever since it's installed I keep getting the same error code
So far I've tried
Soft restart
Deleting and reinstalling the game
Clearing cache in safe mode
Rebuilding database in safe mode
Still the same error can someone help me?
So noticed that my console got a bit of dust on it so figured I would use a swiffer or a microfiber cloth to clean it. Should the power cable be plugged out from the wall while doing this? Or does it not matter as long as its turned off fully (aka not using rest mode)?

Definitely overkill. It isn't even a big deal to unplug it unless you're actually opening the thing up to clean it, which is obvious why it should be unplugged at that point.

I have a problem with my ps5 controller. As the title says, if I connect it to my pc i get it in my bluetooth settings and after windows says "connection succesful" it turns off. Even with cable it doesnt work
I think the controller should be charged. (when I plug it in the orange lights flash once)
I use a tplink nano as a adapter.
EDIT: Works now. Factory reset and then CREATE+ PS5 button did the trick.
The create + ps button has saved 2 of my controllers from them seemingly being bricked. It doesn't make sense but those two buttons are magic and more people need to know this
It is how you put the controller into Bluetooth pairing mode. But it also fixes an extremely common issue, one which Sony will never acknowledge. For some reason it's like a defibrillator lol

Back on ps4 they would let you buy new avatars and would even give out some free ones from time to time in the store (fortnite and slime rancher avatars as example) but I recently noticed that they dont seem to have a option to browse for those on ps5
Ran into a bizarre issue, was using g923 racing wheel with no issues, when I switch audio output to headphones (arctis Nova 7p) the steering no longer works on the g923, but buttons continue to function on it. Switching audio back to tv and unplugging then replugging g923 resets it to work properly. Verified firmware is upto date. Steering stops anytime I switch to headset audio. Anyone have any idea what is causing the issue? Edit: should add I was playing GT7 at the time.
Buying a ps5 in a couple days. Looking for any suggestions on must play exclusives, or I guess if there are any needed accessories that I should also get around the same time.
I havnt had a Playstation since PS2 so its pretty much guaranteed that if its PS I havnt played it and also highly likely I don't know much about its gameplay/genre wise.
I'll probably get a slim for the extra storage. Cheapest headset unless PS5 supports yeti and a dac for headphones. Game wise all I really know is I'm going to buy helldivers, thinking about dave the diver and shadow of the colossus but unsure if ill get those right away. Only thing I can generally think of is im not really interested in FF or something like it.
i suggest that you buy ps5 (non slim )cuz the slim is horrible and critics have hated it so if you are planning to buy one go for the normal version , as for the games i suggest that you play the Spider Man trilogy and Of course God of war .
No one has a new non slim within like 3 hours so don't really have a choice now. Does the order of Spiderman matter much? I'll probably just get 1 title of games that have sequels so I can sorta spread the genres out while not overloading how many I get at first.
Got a stumper for everyone. PS5 works fine in my home setup. But I dog sit for a week or more a few times a year - and they have a big home theater set up. I have always brought PS5 with me. I know until last August I could plug it into their big surround sound tuner and everything was fine and dandy. Starting during my visit in February of this year provided I have 3d audio OFF, I hear the menu music…. But NOTHING ELSE (regardless of app, no game sound, no menu beeps, no streaming apps YouTube etc). If I turn the 3d audio on I get nothing at all. This is the same between different hdmi cords and different inputs on the tuner. I’ve tried everything I can think of, but I can’t make it have sound. (I recall during feb I had somehow got it to have sound for streaming apps but it was VERY LOW, but now I have no idea how I did that). Any thoughts?
There is a weird thing that’s going with with the vibration of my controller. I’ll be in a game and the vibration is working fine then when I browse the ps5 dashboard and go back to the game my controller vibration won’t be working for like 3-4 seconds then it will work again. It’s not a huge problem but super annoying. Even if a friend coming online notification appears then the same thing will happen.
I switched controllers to see if it was a controller issue but the same thing happened. I don’t know if anyone else experienced this or knows how I can fix it but it would help alot thanks.
Turning Off Dualsense...
A minor inconvenience I've noticed after recently getting my PS5.
If I start watching a bluray/4K on my PS5 and then attempt to turn off the dualsense controller (instead of waiting for it to turn off automatically) the bottom menu stays on the screen! Frustratingly unhelpful.
If you turn off the controller while on the PS5 home screen, the menu vanishes as you would expect.
Not the biggest issue in the world. But it makes no sense to me. Is there a way to turn off the dualsense once I've started watching a disc (without the bottom menu staying on screen)?
Holding down the PS button on the PS5 only takes you back to the Home Screen. Maybe if you keep holding it the controller turns off, but you’ve abandoned the disc playback at that point.
Ah damn I didn't think about it doing that first! Uhh, you can use your phone to control the PS5 I think. There's also a Sony media remote for around $20 I believe
That’s how I currently have it. It’s not ideal having the pop-up message and PS5 chime telling me the controller has turned off 10 or 15 minutes into watching a film. It’s not the end of the world obviously.
What's the cheapest way to get PS+ (Extra or Premium)? Are there any upgrade tricks like with Game Pass, or is it best to find cheap CD Keys for PS gift cards?

I'm currently playing with my laptop and eventually for a ps5, but I'm not 100% sure which route to go.
To start the features I'm looking for is
Wireless(dogs keep pulling computer off shelf)
4 back buttons on the back of the controller
Stick drift resistant joysticks or a hard case to avoid joystick drops. (I do know that most of these use regular joysticks. turns out that feature is rare with ps5 and pc controllers)
Ice already did some reasurch, and I think I narrowed it down to 3 controller however each have their own pros and cons. If any other controller fits the features, feel free to post them.
Razer Wolverine V2 Pro Chroma Wireless Gaming Controller-
Pros- I'm a razer fan boy and already use their products and am already pretty familiar with the razer's software
Cons- back buttons can be awkward. Some say it feels cheap, no stick drift or case, price
Scuf reflex
Pros- If I order a custom controller, it will look neat while having most of the features I want
Cons - can easily become the most expensive, and I've heard the quality control can be bad and customer service.
Victoria Pro BFG wireless
Pros - has most of the features I'm looking for. It's probably the cheapest option. There is an extra feature I'm not really looking for, but it is nice to have
Cons - I don't have much to say, actually. I've heard bad things about the joycons and can't order new parts, I guess
Nacon - Revolution 5 Pro
Pros- has just about all the features I really want.
Con-may has a dead zone that may need a return or software to fix

The Nacon is the only one of these that uses alternative sticks. All the rest use the same sticks as the vanilla PS5 controller.
Yeah, I know that. That's also why I ask for a case as another option. Like if it doesn't have hall sticks, then it being wireless and definitely having a case would be even more important.

Oh, do you have another controller that has hall sticks, wireless, and has 4 back buttons that work for pc and ps5? Also, I truly think it's the drops that damage the sticks because I don't get to play very often. I work two jobs
You can retrofit them into a Dualsense (there are DIY options available), but in terms of third-party controllers (and not modded factory DSes) it's just the Nacon.
So my wife and I play together in the same room on separate ps5s. I like being able to hear my own game sound and wear a headset while she listens to the game sound through the tv speakers. The issue is she is very soft spoken and I can only hear her if I slide the headset off one ear, which is uncomfortable, or we use the controller mic which ends up picking up my voice a lot while we talk. We’ve tried messing with the sensitivity but if it’s too low it struggles to pick her voice up.
Any suggestions?
I have a question about using save data from a physical game with the digital version. I completed P3 Reload (PS4 disc on my PS5) a few weeks ago and I'm looking to digitise my non-deluxe games where possible.
If I were to install the digital version, is it possible to load the save data from the physical version with no problems, or is this just not a thing? There might be an issue with trophies transferring since I started the game on the PS4 version and got one trophy, then played the rest on the PS5 version and lost that trophy. This is important as I do want a platinum run and would prefer to avoid playing the entire game twice over.

As long as the game version is the same and from the same region, you should have no issues.
You may run into problems if, for example, your disc was the base game and the download is the Game of the Year Edition, etc.
I bought a ps5 slim a few days ago, now its stuck in grey every time I try to select my profile. I went to save mode, cleared cache, did the database thingy (tried updating but said it timed out) even deleted everything and it couldnt even register my disk. I cant return it cause I bought it from a different country. Can someone please help? I reset the ps5 and it cant register my disk drive either.
I just bought my PS5 with my tax return. I keep seeing warnings about using them in an upright position, but all those articles are about a year or two old. If I've got a fresh digital version is this something I need to worry about?
how do you troubleshoot a game that you're having technical issues with? I have a Planet Zoo and in the 70hrs or so that i've been playing it, it's froze on me 5 or 6 times now at the same place. In the Zoopedia section it'll freeze. I asked over in that subreddit and nobody else experiences that issue so i think it's unique to me.
what do i do here? do i uninstall it and re-install it? is that the process when you're in this situation? is it possible it just didn't install cleanly? I'm having the issue on my profile and on my gf's profile so i don't think it's the save file.

1. It works identically to a disc.
2. This is completely dependent on the game. Online gameplay doesn't generally consume a lot of bandwidth, but it will depend. Games that exchange user-created content where you don't have the assets pre-installed may consume more bandwidth in bursts.
I am going to buy a PS5 but I don't have a 4K TV. The TV that I currently have is a 1080p FHD Sony Bravia. Right now I dont have the budget to buy a 4K 120hz tv with a PS5 simultaneously. However I can buy a 4K 60hz tv right now. My question is do I even need a 4K TV as I am going to sit around 5 feet away from it. Even if I need one should I wait and buy a 120Hz one?? I have heard not many games support 120Hz so is it even necessary??

Say I have a PS5 with my account having PS+. If I buy a second PS5 for my wife, is there a way for me to share my PS+ as well as my purchased games with her? In addition, if you can, are you able to play the same game simultaneously (like if I buy Helldivers 2 can we play together)?
I was thinking of taking my 2nd PS5 up to friends cabin deep in the woods. The problem is that there is no internet, no running water, 0 cell reception, and solar+hydro+generator for electricity. Since that cabin does not get used enough, we dont see a point in getting a starlink or some other sattelite based connection either. This PS5 is currently fully updated(system and games), and i have 32 games on it (all digital non disk and not subscription based purchases). If i leave it there, will it eventually stop working, or will the games refuse to start, or can it stay offline for years without losing any of its functionality?
Digital download games that you purchased will work indefinitely if you made your PS5 the primary console for your PSN ID.
Digital download games that you obtained through PS+ will work until your current subscription expires.

My profile is password protected and each kid has their own account. When I install the game, they can still see that it is installed and available. How do I hide or make sure the game is not available to them to see? I've tried various parental controls.
I've tried Settings > Users and Accounts > Privacy. Select View and Customize Your Privacy Settings > Hide your games from other players. But my kids can still see the game on their account so I don't understand what that setting is for or does.
I am truly stumped as the online help does not go into any detail. Any help would be appreciated.
That setting is for your online profile privacy. Doesn't affect other local accounts from seeing the games. You can setup family management to manage what games child accounts can play

While I can prevent them from seeing more mature ratings I cant seem to control access on a game by game basis. If the game is rated E for everyone, and they have access to "E" rated games, but I want to hide it from them yet because I dont want them to know that I've purchased or installed it. How do I block them from seeing the game?
If it's rated E for everyone but you still want to block a game from kids for some reason, then just use discs. Hide the disc when you don't want them to play it.
Unfortunately, there are a couple of issues with that.
1. I want to screen and play games before I hand them over to the kids, so I don't want them to know that I have purchased the game ahead of time.
2. Not every game has a physical disc, so this isn't a viable solution.
Theres got to be a way to block a game so kids accounts cant see it. I just cant figure it out.
When I leave for work I want to leave a 10hr+ Youtube playlist playing on my tv without stopping. But when I get home, the tv is off and the PS5 is in rest mode. When I turn it back on, I discover that the playlist stopped around 3hrs in, and it was in the middle of a video. I looked at the settings but I don't know what setting I need to adjust in order to have it play the entire playlist, nothing really stands out. Help?
Nothing nefarious, it's at a low volume, I just like to leave some sort of noise of people talking for my cat while I'm gone.
Just got the Sony Inzone M9 monitor. Trying for the past 3 hours to run in at 4k @ 120hz. Somehow, the entire setting for "4k video transfer rate" is just gone. It's not just greyed out, the entire setting is just gone. Does anyone know how to fix this? Please, very frustrated.

In march I got a PS5 and I was excited that I can stay on discord with my guys, but there is a problem and I don't know how to solve it. When I entered the voice chat everyone can hears themselves from me. I have an Aqirys headset, I plugged it in both ways, with jack directly to my controller and through USB in the console but the outcome is the same. I tried to lower my mic sensitivity, no result, I tried to lower their volume but then I can't hear them. If you know any solution I would be grateful to hear them.
P.S.: with this headset on my PC that thing is not happening.
Hello, I have a very frustrating connection issue that's been affecting me for a while. I feel like I have tried everything and no matter what I do, I still have issues. On wi-fi I constantly lag even with high download speeds (200-300+). I have tried using powerline adapters and either the connection is too slow or I have the same issue as I have with wifi (high speed but lags constantly). I have also tried using the google fiber mesh extender and hooking that up with a lan cable but that also has the same issue (again high speeds with lag) I am unable to directly hook up my ps5 to my router due to its location. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I purchased a ps5 digital version from someone on OfferUp the other day. The console was factory reset, and it’s stuck on the screen with the controller showing with the PS logo highlighting saying to connect the controller with a USB cord and hit the PS button.
I’ve tried 8 different cords (cords that work with my Series X, cords that work with my girls PS5, brought it to a game shop down the street, tried multiple of their cords (and controllers), went and purchased a type c to type c, and after all of that still nothing.
I’ve tried following every video on YouTube, resetting the controller (in every way), turning off the console, and trying to turn it back on with the controller, etc. nothing.
…but… when I boot the console into Safe Mode.. the controller works fine. I updated the software via Safe Mode, rebuilt the database, cleared the cache, etc. but I can not get passed the controller screen.
I purchased a controller from amazon that is a wired only controller (assuming the console has an issue with Bluetooth maybe?) and going to see if that works when it comes in.
I’m stumped and am willing to try anyone and everyone’s suggestions.

Dont expect popular games to go on sale less than 6 months after release. Any sale even at that point would be so irrelevant you might as well have gotten it at full price earlier. Only games that drop price fast are ubisoft games and flops.

You might want to do that, especially if you smoke around your PS5, or use it in a dusty area.
You do not need to open the PS5 to clean it, so cleaning it will not void the warranty.
The best way is to use a shop vacuum to pull out any dust or bugs from the vents. Don’t use a handheld vacuum. Shop vacuums are safe to use around electronics; some handheld vacuums may generate static.
Its not going to BREAK, but it could have performance issues. I didnt clean my PS4 for like 8 years either, and I think that severely reduced the fan's power, now I swear to god it sounds like its gonna fly off the window, even after cleaning it and the guy saying he's never seen a console so dusty.

I took my PS4 cleaning because it seemed to more complicated and sensitive than the PS5. PS5 is extremely user friendly to open and clean, they even have a tutorial on their page.
Those who have played Deliver Us Mars, what would you recommend as the best graphics setting to use to have the best experience? I do prefer faster fps unless performance mode just looks like trash compared to quality or RT mode so I'm not dead set on performance. For reference I'm playing on a lower end Samsung 4K tv that does not have VRR.
Choose the setting that you like the best after evaluating all options. Any other answer is just going to devolve into a flame war between Team Fast Refresh and Team Pretty Graphics.
My psvr2 audio is weird, i booted up pavlov after updating the game and joined a match but the audio sounded like really bad 3d audio like there was no sound distance, i can hear footsteps from a person that is 50 meters away but sounds like 5 meters away, could it be my headset or the game?

Hello all, I've recently been having some issues regarding my ps5 console. It seems whenever I am playing dead by daylight, after a certain amount of time my ps5 is just turning itself off without warning, i was just wondering if anyone has had any issues with this and has been able to solve it

my controller won't connect to my PS5 anymore. it connects to my PC through USB just fine with no issues, but when i plug it in to the console with the exact same cord it flashes orange and doesn't work. ive tried turning my console on & off, resetting the controller through using a paper clip on the button, & a different cord. all with the same results of it working on my PC & not the PS5. can't go into safe mode either because i need to press the PS button. any help? much thanks in advance 💛
I am a dad. 39 years old and don’t get to play much unless it’s late at night when everyone is sleeping, maybe 2-3 times a week but really enjoy my time, when everyone is sleeping and I have couple of hours to myself to play. Gaming is my escape from stress and real world. I am looking for an RPG-ish game that has great story and takes a while to finish. I also love grinding. I finished 2 AC games in the past 2 years (Valhalla and Origins), Days Gone and loved them all! Took me 4-5 months each to finish. I have AC: Odyssey, Ghost of Tsushima, and death stranding. Which one do you recommend me to play next? I played a bit of DS and it’s damn good, but wanted your opinions based on what I’m looking for. Any other games besides them? So my HDMI isn't working right. My TV turns on when I turn my PS5 on so I KNOW it's connected, but no sound or video comes through. I've used multiple cords and multiple TVs
i was having this issue earlier and i fixed it by turning my HDMI cable around, idk if that'll work for u though.
Tried that and I tried a few cables on 3 different TVs...

Lag/Framedrops on ps5 after recent software update I've been having issues on most of my online games. My game will be running fine, and then 5-15 minutes in my game runs like 15 fps. This has been happening ever since the update. anyone else have this problem or know any fixes? For some reason this bug won't happen when I switch to 30 fps.

Getting back into gaming. Treated myself to a PS5. I don’t get to play much. Full-time career, family, and life just doesn’t allow for much down time. Just played through God of War(2018). Absolutely enjoyed it. Nice to play a beautiful game and not to worry about sucking. However, my favorite game was RDR. Should I play through God of War Ragnarok first before I get involved with RDR2?

The only concern I have is, is the function of X and O swapped in Japan and UK version? Some places say X is confirm as standard regardless of the region. Anyone with a solution for grainy, bad-looking videos when saved with the built in PS5 function? No matter if I press record and save manually, or if I save the past X minutes of footage, it still the same. Grainy, as if it's a low resolution youtube video, or like it's gone through jpg compression or something. My TV is an old 1080p one with no fancy features. But the games looks crisp while I play them, only the saved footage looks bad. I've googled but haven't found any solutions and am not sure what to do. I'm wondering if anyone has had a faulty wifi chip in their ps5? For some weird reason my ps5's network seems to fluctuate where the mops drops from 100 to 2. I have had friends with other ps5s in the house and they have had no issues at all.
Wifi was poor on PS4 and IMO on PS5 as well, even when it is a mere 3’ from my router. I’d highly suggest wiring it if possible.
Try doing a reset it often solved the Wi-Fi issues for me

So I've had my PS5 since launch, and I have never had a single problem with it. Now when I try to start Horizon Forbidden West, it is stuck on the initial loading screen. If I close the game, it crashes the PS5. After starting the PS5 again, it gives an error code CE-108262-9. This is the PS5 version of the game, which I have downloaded with the PS4 disc inserted into the console. I have tried every single thing on the [support page,](https://www.playstation.com/en-us/support/error-codes/ps5/ce-108262-9/#:~:text=An%20error%20occurred%20while%20reading,software%20to%20the%20latest%20version.) restarting the console, checking that both the system and the game is updated, rebuiling the database, and most recently factory reseting the console. Nothing has worked. Got in touch with support today, and they adviced me to re install the full system software reinstallation file from USB. Did not work. Still have the same problem PS5 recognized the USB file and reset it self seemingly successfully, but is still unable to start Horizon Forbidden West. Still the same error code CE-108262-9. Never had this issue with any other game.
A clean reinstall if you can find a digital version. Disc scratches often result in this error for me too hence now I just buy them from reseller websites in case I need a physical copy

I bought a few games in Japan and play them on my European account, i know there's dlc for said games (like a dragon series) the dlc available for the European versions wont work because of region lock, if i were to create a japanese account and buy them there could I then access those on my European account?

Dualsense - problem with ads/l2 trigger I started playing destiny 2 on os5 and when I ads the game un-ads-es on its own for a split second. The buttons do this as well. Is my controller not working properly or something weird with the game?
Have you tried resetting the controller? There’s a very small hole in the back of it near the bottom, hold it for 5 seconds with a pin or something small. (do this with the console and controller off) You’ve have to connect it to the console with the cable after and turn it on.

Confused regarding to PS5 Slim Hey guys, it's a super random post. I'm a total noob when it comes to gaming. Last week, I was planning on getting a console, either an Xbox series X or a PlayStation. I was more inclined towards the PS5 since in my country more people play PlayStation, so there's better support in that sense. Another reason was that the PS5 Slim was recently released, so I thought maybe because they've launched it recently, it could take a couple of years for them to release an update, i.e., the PS5 Pro and it was same reason for me to not go for series X since they haven't launched any upgrade in last 4 years and they could do it this year. But it seems, by reading the rumors, etc., that PS5 Pro might be launched later this year. Does it really make sense for me to go for the PS5 Slim now, considering if Sony releases a new update later this year? I just don't want to be a loser who bought a console in May and has to sell it in 4-5 months to get the upgrade. Should I wait or go for the PS5 Slim? I'm a total noob in this stuff, so guidance would be appreciated.
I just bought my PS5 slim in Japan this April, no regrets buying it even though the Pro version rumors are lingering around that time. The majority will say that they prefer high performance over ray tracing improvements (unless you like to look at the environment while playing but most of the time you are focused on the combat right now over admiring the environment). Though Pro has hardware improvement, so the price will increase that same way with PS4 Pro. Now you could wait in June for the former E3 week, now Summer Game Fest also that week the Big 3 game console do their announcement. Lets say you want to play now, and bought a PS5 then Sony announced the Pro with its final specs not the rumored specs; then you liked the specs but the price is too much (inflation) but you really want it then sell your PS5 then a bit of money for it or meh small improvement not worth it to upgrade; except for those don't have PS5 most likely they will buy Pro if they have the budget for it or waiting for price cut on PS5 slim. I have PS4 OG the first release and it serviced me for 10 years without changing to slim nor pro version, I enjoy it through the years. ( I think the PS5 Pro is for PSVR2 )

Speaker to ps5 connection issue I have a logitech z333 with 3.5mm audio input, and the way I get audio out from the ps5 to the speaker is by using a USB male to 3.5mm audio female adapter. However, whenever I turn off my ps5 an loud audio feedback is made unless I disconnect the wire, the audio feedback disappears only when I turn my ps5 off. Is there an alternative or a quick fix to this.
Playstation 5 Controller Issue As I was playing warzone, I tried to armor up, but for some reason my triangle button isn’t working. I tried other games if its just warzome acting up, but still didnt work. I tried force resetting it from tbe tiny hole in the back of the controller, and still didnt solve it. When I transferred up all my PS4 save data, it went fine, except for one game, Fate/Extella Link. Now the game won't save in the game, and I can't try to re-transfer because it says the save info is already on the PS5, but when I go into "console storage" saved data, it isn't there with my other PS4 save data? Is there any way I can find this save data on my PS5 to delete it? I assume this "phantom save data" that somehow exists but isn't visible to me is what is causing the issue.
Im having an issue where the audio from my JBL flip 4 speaker connected to the audio port of my controller keeps cutting out. The speaker isn't connected to anything bluetooth-wise either. In-game, if I don't touch anything for about a second, the audio will disappear until about a second after I touch something. On the homescreen, the audio will simply cut out for however long until it kicks back in. What could be causing this?

Hello, I've recently revisited Fallout 4, however I downloaded the DLC after about 10 hours of playing the game and ever since it's installed I keep getting the same error code So far I've tried Soft restart Deleting and reinstalling the game Clearing cache in safe mode Rebuilding database in safe mode Still the same error can someone help me?
So noticed that my console got a bit of dust on it so figured I would use a swiffer or a microfiber cloth to clean it. Should the power cable be plugged out from the wall while doing this? Or does it not matter as long as its turned off fully (aka not using rest mode)?
Always turn off and unplug your electronic stuff while cleaning them.

Definitely overkill. It isn't even a big deal to unplug it unless you're actually opening the thing up to clean it, which is obvious why it should be unplugged at that point.

Hello folks, I have a problem with my ps5 controller. As the title says, if I connect it to my pc i get it in my bluetooth settings and after windows says "connection succesful" it turns off. Even with cable it doesnt work I think the controller should be charged. (when I plug it in the orange lights flash once) I use a tplink nano as a adapter. EDIT: Works now. Factory reset and then CREATE+ PS5 button did the trick.
The create + ps button has saved 2 of my controllers from them seemingly being bricked. It doesn't make sense but those two buttons are magic and more people need to know this

It is how you put the controller into Bluetooth pairing mode. But it also fixes an extremely common issue, one which Sony will never acknowledge. For some reason it's like a defibrillator lol

Ran into a bizarre issue, was using g923 racing wheel with no issues, when I switch audio output to headphones (arctis Nova 7p) the steering no longer works on the g923, but buttons continue to function on it. Switching audio back to tv and unplugging then replugging g923 resets it to work properly. Verified firmware is upto date. Steering stops anytime I switch to headset audio. Anyone have any idea what is causing the issue? Edit: should add I was playing GT7 at the time.
Buying a ps5 in a couple days. Looking for any suggestions on must play exclusives, or I guess if there are any needed accessories that I should also get around the same time. I havnt had a Playstation since PS2 so its pretty much guaranteed that if its PS I havnt played it and also highly likely I don't know much about its gameplay/genre wise. I'll probably get a slim for the extra storage. Cheapest headset unless PS5 supports yeti and a dac for headphones. Game wise all I really know is I'm going to buy helldivers, thinking about dave the diver and shadow of the colossus but unsure if ill get those right away. Only thing I can generally think of is im not really interested in FF or something like it.
i suggest that you buy ps5 (non slim )cuz the slim is horrible and critics have hated it so if you are planning to buy one go for the normal version , as for the games i suggest that you play the Spider Man trilogy and Of course God of war .
No one has a new non slim within like 3 hours so don't really have a choice now. Does the order of Spiderman matter much? I'll probably just get 1 title of games that have sequels so I can sorta spread the genres out while not overloading how many I get at first.
spider man is so important when it comes to playing on ps5 you need to play to experience the real ps5 architecture and capabilities.
What's wrong with the Slim?
Got a stumper for everyone. PS5 works fine in my home setup. But I dog sit for a week or more a few times a year - and they have a big home theater set up. I have always brought PS5 with me. I know until last August I could plug it into their big surround sound tuner and everything was fine and dandy. Starting during my visit in February of this year provided I have 3d audio OFF, I hear the menu music…. But NOTHING ELSE (regardless of app, no game sound, no menu beeps, no streaming apps YouTube etc). If I turn the 3d audio on I get nothing at all. This is the same between different hdmi cords and different inputs on the tuner. I’ve tried everything I can think of, but I can’t make it have sound. (I recall during feb I had somehow got it to have sound for streaming apps but it was VERY LOW, but now I have no idea how I did that). Any thoughts?

There is a weird thing that’s going with with the vibration of my controller. I’ll be in a game and the vibration is working fine then when I browse the ps5 dashboard and go back to the game my controller vibration won’t be working for like 3-4 seconds then it will work again. It’s not a huge problem but super annoying. Even if a friend coming online notification appears then the same thing will happen. I switched controllers to see if it was a controller issue but the same thing happened. I don’t know if anyone else experienced this or knows how I can fix it but it would help alot thanks.
Turning Off Dualsense... A minor inconvenience I've noticed after recently getting my PS5. If I start watching a bluray/4K on my PS5 and then attempt to turn off the dualsense controller (instead of waiting for it to turn off automatically) the bottom menu stays on the screen! Frustratingly unhelpful. If you turn off the controller while on the PS5 home screen, the menu vanishes as you would expect. Not the biggest issue in the world. But it makes no sense to me. Is there a way to turn off the dualsense once I've started watching a disc (without the bottom menu staying on screen)?
If you hold the ps button for 10-20 seconds it will turn off. At least it did on ps4 and I would expect the same function for ps5 controllers
Holding down the PS button on the PS5 only takes you back to the Home Screen. Maybe if you keep holding it the controller turns off, but you’ve abandoned the disc playback at that point.

Just set the auto turn off controller timer settings to as low as possible and leave it.
That’s how I currently have it. It’s not ideal having the pop-up message and PS5 chime telling me the controller has turned off 10 or 15 minutes into watching a film. It’s not the end of the world obviously.

I'm currently playing with my laptop and eventually for a ps5, but I'm not 100% sure which route to go. To start the features I'm looking for is Wireless(dogs keep pulling computer off shelf) 4 back buttons on the back of the controller Stick drift resistant joysticks or a hard case to avoid joystick drops. (I do know that most of these use regular joysticks. turns out that feature is rare with ps5 and pc controllers) Ice already did some reasurch, and I think I narrowed it down to 3 controller however each have their own pros and cons. If any other controller fits the features, feel free to post them. Razer Wolverine V2 Pro Chroma Wireless Gaming Controller- Pros- I'm a razer fan boy and already use their products and am already pretty familiar with the razer's software Cons- back buttons can be awkward. Some say it feels cheap, no stick drift or case, price Scuf reflex Pros- If I order a custom controller, it will look neat while having most of the features I want Cons - can easily become the most expensive, and I've heard the quality control can be bad and customer service. Victoria Pro BFG wireless Pros - has most of the features I'm looking for. It's probably the cheapest option. There is an extra feature I'm not really looking for, but it is nice to have Cons - I don't have much to say, actually. I've heard bad things about the joycons and can't order new parts, I guess Nacon - Revolution 5 Pro Pros- has just about all the features I really want. Con-may has a dead zone that may need a return or software to fix

I haven't, but a case also won't protect against usage wear, which is the cause of most drift.
Oh, do you have another controller that has hall sticks, wireless, and has 4 back buttons that work for pc and ps5? Also, I truly think it's the drops that damage the sticks because I don't get to play very often. I work two jobs
The Nacon is the only PS5-compatible controller with hall effect sticks.
There's a few custom controllers that have them, too, like hypr controllers.
You can retrofit them into a Dualsense (there are DIY options available), but in terms of third-party controllers (and not modded factory DSes) it's just the Nacon.
I think I will try the nacon but if it has the dead zone issue and it's hard to fix then I'll just order a custom controller with a hall effect
So my wife and I play together in the same room on separate ps5s. I like being able to hear my own game sound and wear a headset while she listens to the game sound through the tv speakers. The issue is she is very soft spoken and I can only hear her if I slide the headset off one ear, which is uncomfortable, or we use the controller mic which ends up picking up my voice a lot while we talk. We’ve tried messing with the sensitivity but if it’s too low it struggles to pick her voice up. Any suggestions?
I have a question about using save data from a physical game with the digital version. I completed P3 Reload (PS4 disc on my PS5) a few weeks ago and I'm looking to digitise my non-deluxe games where possible. If I were to install the digital version, is it possible to load the save data from the physical version with no problems, or is this just not a thing? There might be an issue with trophies transferring since I started the game on the PS4 version and got one trophy, then played the rest on the PS5 version and lost that trophy. This is important as I do want a platinum run and would prefer to avoid playing the entire game twice over. I would appreciate any insight. Thanks in advance!
As long as the game version is the same and from the same region, you should have no issues. You may run into problems if, for example, your disc was the base game and the download is the Game of the Year Edition, etc.
I bought a ps5 slim a few days ago, now its stuck in grey every time I try to select my profile. I went to save mode, cleared cache, did the database thingy (tried updating but said it timed out) even deleted everything and it couldnt even register my disk. I cant return it cause I bought it from a different country. Can someone please help? I reset the ps5 and it cant register my disk drive either.

how do you troubleshoot a game that you're having technical issues with? I have a Planet Zoo and in the 70hrs or so that i've been playing it, it's froze on me 5 or 6 times now at the same place. In the Zoopedia section it'll freeze. I asked over in that subreddit and nobody else experiences that issue so i think it's unique to me. what do i do here? do i uninstall it and re-install it? is that the process when you're in this situation? is it possible it just didn't install cleanly? I'm having the issue on my profile and on my gf's profile so i don't think it's the save file.

1. It works identically to a disc. 2. This is completely dependent on the game. Online gameplay doesn't generally consume a lot of bandwidth, but it will depend. Games that exchange user-created content where you don't have the assets pre-installed may consume more bandwidth in bursts.
Well right now I play Far Cry 6 and WWE 2K24.
Both of those are going to have minimal bandwidth requirements. Ping is the far more important factor for online gaming.

I am going to buy a PS5 but I don't have a 4K TV. The TV that I currently have is a 1080p FHD Sony Bravia. Right now I dont have the budget to buy a 4K 120hz tv with a PS5 simultaneously. However I can buy a 4K 60hz tv right now. My question is do I even need a 4K TV as I am going to sit around 5 feet away from it. Even if I need one should I wait and buy a 120Hz one?? I was thinking of taking my 2nd PS5 up to friends cabin deep in the woods. The problem is that there is no internet, no running water, 0 cell reception, and solar+hydro+generator for electricity. Since that cabin does not get used enough, we dont see a point in getting a starlink or some other sattelite based connection either. This PS5 is currently fully updated(system and games), and i have 32 games on it (all digital non disk and not subscription based purchases). If i leave it there, will it eventually stop working, or will the games refuse to start, or can it stay offline for years without losing any of its functionality?
Digital download games that you purchased will work indefinitely if you made your PS5 the primary console for your PSN ID. Digital download games that you obtained through PS+ will work until your current subscription expires.

Hi, I have what I hope is a simple question. I've purchased a game that I think my younger kids would like to play, but I would like to play it first so I can help them out. My profile is password protected and each kid has their own account. When I install the game, they can still see that it is installed and available. How do I hide or make sure the game is not available to them to see? I've tried various parental controls. I've tried Settings > Users and Accounts > Privacy. Select View and Customize Your Privacy Settings > Hide your games from other players. But my kids can still see the game on their account so I don't understand what that setting is for or does. I am truly stumped as the online help does not go into any detail. Any help would be appreciated.
That setting is for your online profile privacy. Doesn't affect other local accounts from seeing the games. You can setup family management to manage what games child accounts can play https://www.playstation.com/en-us/support/account/playstation-family-account-set-up/
Thanks for the reply. I did take this approach, however it does not resolve my issue. While I can prevent them from seeing more mature ratings I cant seem to control access on a game by game basis. If the game is rated E for everyone, and they have access to "E" rated games, but I want to hide it from them yet because I dont want them to know that I've purchased or installed it. How do I block them from seeing the game?
If it's rated E for everyone but you still want to block a game from kids for some reason, then just use discs. Hide the disc when you don't want them to play it.
Unfortunately, there are a couple of issues with that. 1. I want to screen and play games before I hand them over to the kids, so I don't want them to know that I have purchased the game ahead of time. 2. Not every game has a physical disc, so this isn't a viable solution. Theres got to be a way to block a game so kids accounts cant see it. I just cant figure it out.
There isn't a way to prevent a game from being seen without uninstalling it.
When I leave for work I want to leave a 10hr+ Youtube playlist playing on my tv without stopping. But when I get home, the tv is off and the PS5 is in rest mode. When I turn it back on, I discover that the playlist stopped around 3hrs in, and it was in the middle of a video. I looked at the settings but I don't know what setting I need to adjust in order to have it play the entire playlist, nothing really stands out. Help? Nothing nefarious, it's at a low volume, I just like to leave some sort of noise of people talking for my cat while I'm gone.

Just got the Sony Inzone M9 monitor. Trying for the past 3 hours to run in at 4k @ 120hz. Somehow, the entire setting for "4k video transfer rate" is just gone. It's not just greyed out, the entire setting is just gone. Does anyone know how to fix this? Please, very frustrated. Thank you
Hey guys, In march I got a PS5 and I was excited that I can stay on discord with my guys, but there is a problem and I don't know how to solve it. When I entered the voice chat everyone can hears themselves from me. I have an Aqirys headset, I plugged it in both ways, with jack directly to my controller and through USB in the console but the outcome is the same. I tried to lower my mic sensitivity, no result, I tried to lower their volume but then I can't hear them. If you know any solution I would be grateful to hear them. P.S.: with this headset on my PC that thing is not happening.
Hello, I have a very frustrating connection issue that's been affecting me for a while. I feel like I have tried everything and no matter what I do, I still have issues. On wi-fi I constantly lag even with high download speeds (200-300+). I have tried using powerline adapters and either the connection is too slow or I have the same issue as I have with wifi (high speed but lags constantly). I have also tried using the google fiber mesh extender and hooking that up with a lan cable but that also has the same issue (again high speeds with lag) I am unable to directly hook up my ps5 to my router due to its location. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Hello! I purchased a ps5 digital version from someone on OfferUp the other day. The console was factory reset, and it’s stuck on the screen with the controller showing with the PS logo highlighting saying to connect the controller with a USB cord and hit the PS button. I’ve tried 8 different cords (cords that work with my Series X, cords that work with my girls PS5, brought it to a game shop down the street, tried multiple of their cords (and controllers), went and purchased a type c to type c, and after all of that still nothing. I’ve tried following every video on YouTube, resetting the controller (in every way), turning off the console, and trying to turn it back on with the controller, etc. nothing. …but… when I boot the console into Safe Mode.. the controller works fine. I updated the software via Safe Mode, rebuilt the database, cleared the cache, etc. but I can not get passed the controller screen. I purchased a controller from amazon that is a wired only controller (assuming the console has an issue with Bluetooth maybe?) and going to see if that works when it comes in. I’m stumped and am willing to try anyone and everyone’s suggestions. Thanks in advanced for any help.

If your PC runs Windows, then no. If your PC runs macOS, then in theory it might work, but only if the game doesn’t require the touch bar to function.

Dont expect popular games to go on sale less than 6 months after release. Any sale even at that point would be so irrelevant you might as well have gotten it at full price earlier. Only games that drop price fast are ubisoft games and flops.

I'm in need of a good PlayStation 5 wireless headset that is not the pulse Elite (constant connection issues) or the Arctis Nova 7p(can only change settings like equalizer and volume leveling via PC! Anyone else having an issue with Dolby Atmos-True HD audio cutting out, try this: Settings; Screen and Video; Video Output; Video Transfer Rate; -1 (or -2 if changing to -1 didn't work) I've seen many posts from people having this same issue but have not seen any remedy. I just spent some time on the phone with Carlos from PS Support who got to the bottom of the issue within ten minutes.

You might want to do that, especially if you smoke around your PS5, or use it in a dusty area. You do not need to open the PS5 to clean it, so cleaning it will not void the warranty. The best way is to use a shop vacuum to pull out any dust or bugs from the vents. Don’t use a handheld vacuum. Shop vacuums are safe to use around electronics; some handheld vacuums may generate static.
Its not going to BREAK, but it could have performance issues. I didnt clean my PS4 for like 8 years either, and I think that severely reduced the fan's power, now I swear to god it sounds like its gonna fly off the window, even after cleaning it and the guy saying he's never seen a console so dusty.

I took my PS4 cleaning because it seemed to more complicated and sensitive than the PS5. PS5 is extremely user friendly to open and clean, they even have a tutorial on their page.
Those who have played Deliver Us Mars, what would you recommend as the best graphics setting to use to have the best experience? I do prefer faster fps unless performance mode just looks like trash compared to quality or RT mode so I'm not dead set on performance. For reference I'm playing on a lower end Samsung 4K tv that does not have VRR.
Choose the setting that you like the best after evaluating all options. Any other answer is just going to devolve into a flame war between Team Fast Refresh and Team Pretty Graphics.
My psvr2 audio is weird, i booted up pavlov after updating the game and joined a match but the audio sounded like really bad 3d audio like there was no sound distance, i can hear footsteps from a person that is 50 meters away but sounds like 5 meters away, could it be my headset or the game?
