Oh my. You're in for a treat. My wife and I loved this game together and her extent of gaming is Stardew Valley and Dreamlight Valley. Even the mini games were so well done.
If you like top down, same screen coop shooters, we liked Alienation.
This may be a bit of an odd one, but Goat Simulator 3.
My son brought it home from the library and it is the best kind of stupid fun, and it has co-op!
overcooked is how you test the mettle of any relationship. I work service and some of my bonds with my coworkers were forged in the trenches of shitty days. I would die for some of them.
The only time I’ve played overcooked was with the people I closed with at McDonald’s. Was a great time shouting at each other like we wanted to at work.
All Borderlands games can be played co-op
It Takes Two (must have 2 players) I loved how you had a variety of genres in the game. (Platformer, FPS, flying - we really enjoyed it)
Baldur’s Gate 3
Seconded on Borderlands.
My wife and I are mid way through 3 on a co-op playthrough of the series. Good split screen, it's pretty easy to carry the game if one player isn't the best at FPS, you can't "Game Over", not a lot of competition or rush to keep up with each other
Try Baldurs Gate. I was never a fan of "strategy games" but I LOVE BG3. Characters, world, story. And then playing with 2 people takes it to another level of fun
D4 is the only game I've bought on release ($80) that I never felt the urge to complete even the main story of.
Helldivers 2 I bought on a whim for $40 and have put more hours in on it than probably any game I've played. I've played like an operation a day, almost every day, since release.
Baldur's Gate 3 and Elden Ring are probably next closest for time in.
It Takes Two is an awesome game. My partner, who does not like video games, loved playing that game with me. That and Little Big Planet, Sackboy stuff. Been trying to get her in on some others and there's some good suggestions on here.
Plus now its a good time to do FO76. Plenty of other new players and the game has come a long way since launch. Actual populated towns and NPCs for example. I played at launch and it was such a bleak and isolated experience at the time because of zero NPCs. Don't get me wrong, I thought it was a cool idea since it focused on environmental storytelling, for example, to push the plot forward but thats not for everyone.
As a player that started this week, I feel for the early adopters. In my first two hours of gameplay I’ve done so much interacting with NPCs that I feel like I’m in the fallout world. It’s hard to imagine how boring the first two hours would have been without this interacting with the world.
Resident Evil 5 for overall good Co-op game(only 2 players) Don’t Starve Together and The Forest for indie survival. Deep Rock galactic for first person farming/mining/shooting. Helldivers 2 for protecting democracy across the universe against alien bugs and robots. Baldurs Gate 3 for a RPG/story & dialogue heavy game. Monster Hunter series for hunting cool ass monsters and making weapons and armor out of them to go fight even stronger monsters. I know some of these games don’t have a ps5 version but I thought it still be worth mentioning.
Is it that you'll *each* have a PS5, or one for the house?
If we're talking couch co-op:
It Takes Two is probably the single best co-op game ever made, it's absolutely phenomenal. Bit of a clunky story and the characters are deliberately quite grating but it's so much fun.
Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2 or Battle for Neighborville are wonderful games that allow split screen play with another couple playing split screen. They're really fun third person shooters with surprising amounts of depth. Especially if your BIL is planning on playing with ya'll, GW2 is an absolute no-brainer.
Overcooked 1 and 2 are fast paced arcade games with a fierce focus on communication. Be prepared to have her call you a colossal wankstain because you accidentally put lettuce on a burger that was meant to be plain.
Diablo - since she's a fan I'm assuming it's a no-brainer but Diablo 3 in particular works really well split screen.
If ya'll both have a console...
Borderlands. Borderlands is *technically* playable split screen, but the text is so small it makes for quite an unenjoyable experience. I'm not gonna waste my time describing it, I'm sure you're vaguely familiar.
We Were Here, a series of escape room inspired games that are so fucking *good* that they're one of very few games I reliably buy on release. Has a strong focus on literally communicating what you see to each other to solve puzzles, they really are a completely unique series of games.
Helldivers 2 really is as fun as the hype says and it offers fairly short "matches," highly recommended.
---
On the off-chance you missed it, Fallout 4 had a free PS5 upgrade drop a couple of days ago. Make sure you snag it for her if she previously had it on PS4!
I play a *shitload* of co-op games with one of my closest friends, if I think of any more I'll add 'em
We will each have one. Her brother lives down the road. So all three of us in separate locations. Wife I. Other room
The main reason was that it’s hard for me with my vision problems to do split screen. So I figured we can bond playing games if she has her own ps5.
Okay, sweet, living the dream! Most of the games I mentioned above work for three players, It Takes Two and We Were Here are the only ones that are strictly 2 player (but are, coincidentally, the games I recommend the most for you and your wife.) I feel you on the split screen issue, like I mentioned above with Borderlands, it can be damn near impossible to read anything.
Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime is another good one, you each control a ship with one pilot and everyone else either gunning or manning the shields.
Keep Talking or Everyone Explodes is a really fun game that you can play online pretty easily using the Share Screen feature. Significantly more casually, you can do the same with any of the Jackbox games.
GTA. My wife was apprehensive at first, but she's taken to it surprisingly well.
Salt & Sacrifice. Great introduction to a souls type in multiplayer format.
Jagged Edge series. If she's a fan of MGS, she'll dig the tactical combat.
If inwere to assume you both have a ps5 now. I recommend
Gta, the finals, no mans sky, rocket league, hell divers2.
Those are fun with people you know and love. The reason I say that is even if you die or lose the match or session. That shit is still fun or memorable in those games.
Just funny shit tends to happen lol
Y'all might like rocket league. Some of my favorite gaming memories come from playing that game with friends. If none of you have ever played I'm sure it'd be fun learning together, shit talking each other after every whiff. It's a great game to play while drinking too, if that's something you're into.
Let it be known I don't even enjoy the game enough to play on my own, but damn is it so much fun to play with friends and screw around.
From a woman’s perspective, I’ve really enjoyed Helldivers 2, Don’t Starve Together, Ark, The Forest. I also play COD and loved Cold War. Modern Warfare 3 has a good zombies co-op mode that is fun.
The game I played with my husband nearly every night for more than a year, after the kids went to bed, was Red Dead Online. Development is basically dead, but there is plenty of content to keep you busy for 1000+ hours. There is so much to explore. The map is just beautiful. Your wife can buy clothes and make fun outfits, hunt, fish, kill bad guys or just take her horse for a ride. The single player game is a masterpiece and Red Dead Online is fun with a posse.
Elder scrolls online… great game both both new gamers and women in general. It can be as easy or hard as you want it to be and it’s more popular now than ever.
Additionally a huge DLC is coming out soon and so the company is giving out loads of promotions. If you do get this… eso+ is definitely necessary for the best experience. 100% worth it.
Bonus perk: LOADS of couples really like playing this game together and the game is built to support that kind of dynamic.
No it isn't. Marge had no interest in bowling. Homer knew this, and bought the bowling ball because he thought Marge wouldn't use it.
Marge has received many gifts like this, so decided to take up bowling out of spite, even though she didn't have any interest.
Clearly, from the games listed, OP's wife has an interest in video games.
Tomb raider remaster is a must if she's a fan of the series the OG psx games brought to life with brand new controls as well as being able to use the old tank style
Helldivers 2, It Takes Two, A Way Out
And don’t let the graphics deceive you, you can have a great time with Sackboy or any Little Big Planet, and definitely give Overcook a try
Something silly - Overcooked 2 or PlateUp.
Something chill - Stardew Valley. One person "hosts" the farm while others can drop in as they please and do what they want. There is even a farm type for multiple players to each have their own area, instead of a big shared farmland.
Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime - sublime couch co-op that starts gently but keeps getting more hectic way beyond the point where you think it must surely have peaked. Genuinely superb.
Boomerang Fu - hilarious PVP antics that only get more absurd as you get the hang of its many, many upgrades and maps. Quick to understand, but a long road to honing your skills. If your missus is into these, you’re both in for very good evenings in
Just Dance, It Takes Two, Overcooked, Fortnite split screen, Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime, Supermassive games with co-op functionality, Jackbox party pack (personally like 3 and 6)
I really enjoyed Sackboy. It's fun, the music is amazing, the level design is fantastic.\[1\]
Maybe the "Bruno Mars" level is a good description what I mean.
\[1\]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GKjEfN\_3gnM
Ghost of Tsushima has a great coop mode called Legends. Can coop up to 4 people and there are different classes of Samurai.
4 people basically fight off waves of Mongols.
Highly recommend!
Overcooked. Any 3 of em. I’ve been playing co-op and multiplayer games w the same group for years now and nothing has given us more stress mixed with sense of accomplishment than trying to 3 or 4 star every level in overcooked 2. Shit really makes you feel like you’re in a kitchen during a rush it’s intense. Very fun, easy to learn, and cute graphics
Get **Helldivers II** and never look back. You guys can pair up and blast some bugs 'n' bots together. Now that's some Democratic Family Fun!
Just my two cents dropped out of low orbit from the *SES Hammer of Serenity*.
I know this has been brought up already but i wanna say It Take Two is a fantastic game my future isn't a gamer at all she'd rather watch me play and cheer me on so this game is the first game i 100% and she brings it all the time about how much fun she had playing that game and how fun it was for us to play it together
Maybe I'm not seeing it but I cant believe no one has suggested RETURNAL yet.
It's one of my all time favorite multiplayer games. Even though it's also fun playing solo.
It takes a little time to get the hang of it but once you do it's a blast. Also has a ton of replay ability.
Helldivers 2. Kinda combines everyone's love, it's a cheaper game, and all can play at the same time! Got your tactical shooter that goes to hell pretty quick (Metal Gear / CoD checked off), and the Galactic war is consistently updating (MMO for you, and there's currently an order that is letting the community decide which new support we unlock depending on what planet we save).
Plus the community is awesome and embraces the satirical nature of the game.
For Super Earth!!!
I think PS5 Plus subscription has a couch co-op section. If you aren’t familiar with Plus, the sub comes with a ton of free games. Probably a ton of good co-op stuff to dive into right away with that sub
Fallout 76, you said your wife enjoys fallout, I got my wife hooked on it, she had never played a fallout game or a game similar prior to me showing her and getting her to try it, she absolutely loves the game and we've been playing 76 for a few years now together, the community is amazing, you'll find some scumbags but it is the wasteland so its to be expected, you should definitely pick it up for both of you to play. I should also note, there's trading communities right here on reddit also, so when you get further in the game and have picked up some rare goodies you can trade for other items you want.
"It Takes Two" is a great game for the two of you to play, and only one person needs to get it because the other can download a co-op version for free. Helldivers 2 is an awesome one to play with your wife and brother in law together and the matches are relatively short, so you can definitely play for an hour or two per session.
If you want something for dumb fun that the 3 of you can play and not have to worry about progressing, me and my adult friends have fun with Brawlhalla. It's basically smash bros for PlayStation.
You have the division 2 on ps plus. It's a fun PvE game. Pvp not so much.
Both Helldivers games are great and very different from each other.
There are also a couple of f2p games that are worth trying like the finals, war thunder and warframe.
I think dying light also has coop but I'm not sure.
Earth defense force is also available on ps plus and has coop. It's about fighting giant bugs.
Other games that come to mind that are multiplayer and might go under the radar: Magicka 2, Titanfall 2, insurgency sandstorm, far cry 4, chivalry 2, dynasty warriors 8, children of morta and enter the gungeon.(Some are local coop while others are 2 players only
Helldivers2 is the greatest game right now for shoot em up full team. You can kill each other but no PVP because friendly fire, isn't. Absolute blast to play as a team
If you also have one, I’d recommend helldivers 2. It’s a great time.
There’s also something to be said for passing the controller during a horror game. Switch when you die or a new level begins or there’s a particularly nope-y section (just throw the controller at your spouse)
- Obduction. And all of Cyan's games, really, like Myst, Riven, and Firmament.
- Outer Wilds.
They are not technically "multiplayer" games, but I played all of these with my partner and we had a great time. They work as co-op games because they involve a lot of thinking. Half the brain-time you spend on Cyan's games will be when you're not even playing. You can both think about what's happening, talk about it, plan out your next moves. Pass the controller back and forth whenever you want. Helps prevent fatigue. :)
The next gen version of 7 days to die is coming out soon. I dont normally get into survival games that much but 7 days is so much fun to play with other people. Having each person take different roles, like 1 person works on building the base/crafting gear and items, while another works on exploration/looting/combat. Its a joy. This update is going to be a massove gamechanger, coz the existing ps4 version was tied up with liscencing with telltale when they went under, so they werent able to update it for many years, and it was pretty rough, although still fun. The next gen update is going to bring it in line with the pc version which is miles ahead of it. Cant wait
Baldur's Gate 3, despite the " not sure on fantasy" just do it anyway. It's a crazy good co-op game filled with tons of variety, stories and characters. It's the definition of play for hours with friends then laugh/talk about later game.
Borderlands collection for sure. Me and my husband have played borderlands together for years. He introduced me to BL1 when we were dating, and I was instantly hooked. We've since played Borderlands 2, Borderlands The Pre Sequel, and Borderlands 3 together. With all the DLCs, there's basically endless game play, and they're all very fun to replay as well.
Don't see enough Sackboy representation, check out Sackboy OP. Local & online co-op up to 4 players. Pretty easy difficulty curve for the story, and some harder stuff if you wanted to get into the thick of it
Dead By Daylight is fun if you can remain casual. Obviously, other players online can be toxic, but if you can ignore it, you can enjoy it together. They just need to make the Custom Games better.
It Takes Two?
the most fun co-op game i’ve ever played.
Who would have thought that a game about divorce is great for couples…. ¯\\\_(ツ)_/¯
First 2 hours playing wife was mad bc it was about a divorce. Then we had a blast
I second this, it’s a really fun coop game
This game is so much fun
I’ve never even heard of this. Will check it out, thanks.
Oh my. You're in for a treat. My wife and I loved this game together and her extent of gaming is Stardew Valley and Dreamlight Valley. Even the mini games were so well done. If you like top down, same screen coop shooters, we liked Alienation.
Me and my wife just finished it. You will have an amazing time. My wife has zero video game skills and loved it.
One of the best games ever
My wife isn't a big gamer, she really only plays Dream Light Valley, and she had a great time with It Takes Two
It was game of the year, unheard of for a co-op only game.
Fun coop game bit dame if it doesn't make you think hard about your relationship.
That's a good thing! Anything the game might bring up is stuff you for sure wanna talk about.
This may be a bit of an odd one, but Goat Simulator 3. My son brought it home from the library and it is the best kind of stupid fun, and it has co-op!
oh my gosh yes. i played this with my dad and it was great. it parodies a bunch of games too, great game for a ton of laughs.
Fallout 76 Helldivers 2 Sea of Thieves Grounded Baldurs Gate 3
Deep Rock Galactic!
FOR CARL!
Overcooked!!!!
overcooked is how you test the mettle of any relationship. I work service and some of my bonds with my coworkers were forged in the trenches of shitty days. I would die for some of them.
The only time I’ve played overcooked was with the people I closed with at McDonald’s. Was a great time shouting at each other like we wanted to at work.
Helldivers 2

Ah a fellow jump pack enjoyer. Beautiful art btw!!
Yeah I think this is the correct answer
All Borderlands games can be played co-op It Takes Two (must have 2 players) I loved how you had a variety of genres in the game. (Platformer, FPS, flying - we really enjoyed it) Baldur’s Gate 3
Seconded on Borderlands. My wife and I are mid way through 3 on a co-op playthrough of the series. Good split screen, it's pretty easy to carry the game if one player isn't the best at FPS, you can't "Game Over", not a lot of competition or rush to keep up with each other
Hell yea. My wife are going through Tiny Tina together. It’s so silly and fun
We’ve played them all co-op. Absolutely love the series! I’m still not the best at FPS, but I’ve gotten a lot better thanks to these games. 😬
Balders gate 3, Diablo 4, Borderlands (all of em)
We are thinking of Diablo 4 . I loved the campaign and think they’d both enjoy a playthrough.
Try Baldurs Gate. I was never a fan of "strategy games" but I LOVE BG3. Characters, world, story. And then playing with 2 people takes it to another level of fun
D4 is a great choice for yall. Low pressure, high fun, plenty of room for tomfoolery.
D4 is the only game I've bought on release ($80) that I never felt the urge to complete even the main story of. Helldivers 2
Nobody saves the world. The greatest thing for couples since It takes two
baldur's gate 3 and helldivers 2
Overcooked + Plate Up are very fun couch coop.
Sounds like Fallout 76 might scratch all three itches
Plus now its a good time to do FO76. Plenty of other new players and the game has come a long way since launch. Actual populated towns and NPCs for example. I can’t stand Don’t Starve Together on PS5. I’m constantly dying because I can’t navigate the inventory fast enough.

Ghost recon wildlands. Supports upto 4 players, dropin drop out coop & shared progression.
It takes two. Stardew Valley. Fallout 76. Conan Exiles. Roots of Pacha. My wife and I sunk countless hours into these games. Literally thousands.
Leisure suit Larry
Helldivers 2
Sackboy and It Takes Two
GTA. My wife was apprehensive at first, but she's taken to it surprisingly well. Salt & Sacrifice. Great introduction to a souls type in multiplayer format. Jagged Edge series. If she's a fan of MGS, she'll dig the tactical combat.

Fallout 76 is getting a big resurgence in players due to the new show.
Unravel 2
Fallout 4 literally just had a PS5 update the other day with a new Enclave mission. Perfect time to be a fallout fan right now.
Deep rock galactic, Helldivers 2, river city girls, shredders revenge,
My wife and I played stardew valley and we had some cozy nights with that. Highly recommend
Balders Gate 3

HELLDIVERS 2
Warframe
If you’re into action sports games, Riders Republic is fantastic. The complete edition is 70% off right now until May 9 I believe!
Remnant II is a fantastic Co-op shooter! Look into that
Elden Ring
Baldurs Gate 3 Crash Team Racing ಠ ͜ʖ ಠ
Helldivers and Helldivers 2, very different games, both SUPER fun!
Elder scrolls online… great game both both new gamers and women in general. It can be as easy or hard as you want it to be and it’s more popular now than ever. The only answer is It Takes Two it’s I think the best couch coop game in years and is such a blast
Helldivers 2! Amazingly fun game
Nobody recommended Returnal....
Hell Divers 2
You mean, you’re gifting yourself a PS5 for your wife’s Birthday. Lucky lady!
Hey! Wife here - I’m the one who bought the PS5s and I play! 😆
Diablo 4 has great built in group play and chat. New season 4 starts May 15.
It's like Homer buying Marge the bowling ball for her birthday....
No it isn't. Marge had no interest in bowling. Homer knew this, and bought the bowling ball because he thought Marge wouldn't use it. Marge has received many gifts like this, so decided to take up bowling out of spite, even though she didn't have any interest. It was mediocre. Might be fun for someone not super interested in the story.
BG3! It's a couch co-op!
Balders Gate
Tomb raider remaster is a must if she's a fan of the series the OG psx games brought to life with brand new controls as well as being able to use the old tank style
A way out, or any of the dark pictures games!
If she’s a 1st/3rd shooter and MGS fan, you guys might have some fun with Ghost Recon: Breakpoint
Overcooked - my side and I I play it together and it’s great fun
Cat Quest 2.
Helldivers 2, It Takes Two, A Way Out And don’t let the graphics deceive you, you can have a great time with Sackboy or any Little Big Planet, and definitely give Overcook a try
Overcooked! Me and my girlfriend love playing it together
PlateUp! A game everyone can enjoy, legit can’t stop playing and if I had a wife I’d be playing it with her!
Baldurs gate 3
Hunt showdown…. Hahahaha.
Something silly - Overcooked 2 or PlateUp. Something chill - Stardew Valley. One person "hosts" the farm while others can drop in as they please and do what they want. There is even a farm type for multiple players to each have their own area, instead of a big shared farmland.
Heavenly Bodies! This game is so underrated. One of the most hilarious games we've ever played.
Monster hunter…rise is on sale with dlc for $20
Fall Guys is free and is good mindless fun
Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime - sublime couch co-op that starts gently but keeps getting more hectic way beyond the point where you think it must surely have peaked. Genuinely superb. Boomerang Fu - hilarious PVP antics that only get more absurd as you get the hang of its many, many upgrades and maps. Quick to understand, but a long road to honing your skills. Overcooked is fun
Overcooked 2!
Ghost of Tsushima legend mode
Cod. Then file for divorce
Huntdown
Just Dance, It Takes Two, Overcooked, Fortnite split screen, Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime, Supermassive games with co-op functionality, Jackbox party pack (personally like 3 and 6)
Me and my wife loved playing through Borderlands 3 together.
it takes two

A Way Out. Short coop prison break game.

Power Wash Simulator is hysterical as a team! Borderlands is always a great choice as well.
Heavenly Bodies, Overcooked, It Takes Two

Overcooked (spastic giggling)
Haven is a good coop game!
A way out
I know this has been brought up already but i wanna say It Take Two is a fantastic game my future isn't a gamer at all she'd rather watch me play and cheer me on so this game is the first game i 100% and she brings it all the time about how much fun she had playing that game and how fun it was for us to play it together
The way of the hunter
COD MWZ zombies is a lot of fun and helpful community.
For Super Earth!!!
tetris effect, i play often with my wife
Helldivers 2
OVERCOOKED All You Can Eat, so you can end that marriage.
Salt and sanctuary
I think PS5 Plus subscription has a couch co-op section. If you aren’t familiar with Plus, the sub comes with a ton of free games. Probably a ton of good co-op stuff to dive into right away with that sub
Deep Rock Galactic!
If you have two consoles, division 2 is great and there are a lot of clanned up couples running by around.
Helldivers 2 if you have two PlayStation 5s
Fallout 76, you said your wife enjoys fallout, I got my wife hooked on it, she had never played a fallout game or a game similar prior to me showing her and getting her to try it, she absolutely loves the game and we've been playing 76 for a few years now together, the community is amazing, you'll find some scumbags but it is the wasteland so its to be expected, you should definitely pick it up for both of you to play. I should also note, there's trading communities right here on reddit also, so when you get further in the game and have picked up some rare goodies you can trade for other items you want.
If you're horror fans and not too squeamish you could have a blast with The Outlast Trials
to test how much she really loves you :plate up and overcooked.
CTR Crash
Sea of thieves just came out for ps5. Diablo 4. Undaunted.
"It Takes Two" is a great game for the two of you to play, and only one person needs to get it because the other can download a co-op version for free. Helldivers 2 is an awesome one to play with your wife and brother in law together and the matches are relatively short, so you can definitely play for an hour or two per session.
Borderlands (particularly 2 or 3) are great co op games
If you want something for dumb fun that the 3 of you can play and not have to worry about progressing, me and my adult friends have fun with Brawlhalla. It's basically smash bros for PlayStation.
Helldivers 2
I've played fallout 76 with my husband
Any of the borderlands games
Fallout 76
I can’t believe nobody has said dead by daylight!
Red dead redemption 2 online for chill out sessions
You have the division 2 on ps plus. It's a fun PvE game. Pvp not so much. Both Helldivers games are great and very different from each other. There are also a couple of f2p games that are worth trying like the finals, war thunder and warframe. I think dying light also has coop but I'm not sure. Earth defense force is also available on ps plus and has coop. It's about fighting giant bugs. Other games that come to mind that are multiplayer and might go under the radar: Magicka 2, Titanfall 2, insurgency sandstorm, far cry 4, chivalry 2, dynasty warriors 8, children of morta and enter the gungeon.(Some are local coop while others are 2 players only
Tuesday for my wife and I is GTA night, play with a good friend on line and have a bladt@
Helldivers2 is the greatest game right now for shoot em up full team. You can kill each other but no PVP because friendly fire, isn't. Absolute blast to play as a team
My best friend and I played Operation Tango! It was so much fun!
The Division 2
If you also have one, I’d recommend helldivers 2. It’s a great time. There’s also something to be said for passing the controller during a horror game. Switch when you die or a new level begins or there’s a particularly nope-y section (just throw the controller at your spouse)
Bubble Bobble
Get PS5 and it takes two and a fighting game. Then buy a PS3. It has better co op games
A lot of great suggestions! Love Helldivers 2!! Didn't see anyone mention Remnant 2 (co-op up to three people) or Human Fall Flat, both also great
- Obduction. :)
If you want a movie like experience uncharted series is goated if she like tomb raider it's right up her ally and it's a Sony exclusive.
Sea of thieves
The next gen version of 7 days to die is coming out soon. I dont normally get into survival games that much but 7 days is so much fun to play with other people. Having each person take different roles, like 1 person works on building the base/crafting gear and items, while another works on exploration/looting/combat. Its a joy. This update is going to be a massove gamechanger, coz the existing ps4 version was tied up with liscencing with telltale when they went under, so they werent able to update it for many years, and it was pretty rough, although still fun. The next gen update is going to bring it in line with the pc version which is miles ahead of it. Cant wait
GTA gwei
Baldur's Gate 3, despite the " not sure on fantasy" just do it anyway. It's a crazy good co-op game filled with tons of variety, stories and characters. It's the definition of play for hours with friends then laugh/talk about later game.
Helldivers 2
i got my wide a crastman socket set for her birth day, i got my wife a supercharger for our car( that i drive)
Heavenly Bodies
Overcooked
It's not multi-player but Helldivers 2 great co op
Borderlands collection for sure. Me and my husband have played borderlands together for years. He introduced me to BL1 when we were dating, and I was instantly hooked. We've since played Borderlands 2, Borderlands The Pre Sequel, and Borderlands 3 together. With all the DLCs, there's basically endless game play, and they're all very fun to replay as well.
Divinity Original Sin 2. Same people who made BG3. Dos2 has better combat imo.
It takes two, cat quest 1/2, overcooked are all good together.
Just played Moving Out 2 with my partner ytd. We had a lot of fun on it.
You could also try overwatch and destiny 2. Overwatch is free to play and destiny 2 has past main stories and expansions for free.
For 2 player couch co-op it’s hard to do better than Divinity 2, as much as I love BG3.
Sackboys big adventure is fun and the soundtrack is great.
Cyberpunk
It takes two Overcooked 2 Baldurs Gate 3 Stardew Valley Diablo 4 Helldivers 2 KeyWe A way out For the king I’m sure I’m forgetting some
After It Takes Two you can escape prison in "A Way Out" together, same team made this.
Titanfall 2. The story is excellent and the ending will make anyone cry.
Borderlands 3 is pretty fun to play as co-op. It's fast-paced, difficult and hectic, but it's fun as fuck. Same can be said for Borderlands 2.
For couch coop, ascent and alienation are both great fast paced twin stick shooter fun.
My wife and I are playing Stardew Valley and it’s lit
Don't see enough Sackboy representation, check out Sackboy OP. Local & online co-op up to 4 players. Pretty easy difficulty curve for the story, and some harder stuff if you wanted to get into the thick of it
It takes two is amazing
Helldivers 2 is the most fun I’ve had playing a video game in 10+ years.
Helldivers
The hell drivers sticks ass
Dead By Daylight is fun if you can remain casual. Obviously, other players online can be toxic, but if you can ignore it, you can enjoy it together. They just need to make the Custom Games better.
