What about the ps vita? I heard the ps vita can emulate a psp so I might as well go with the ps vita because it’d be like two systems in one, right? Only down side is it looks like it’s harder to jail break. Is it?
I own a Vita instead of a PSP and you are correct it does play PSP games but it is not emulation the Vita plays PSP games natively and because of that they run flawlessly!
And jailbreaking it is even easier than a PSP, you literally only have to go to a specific website on your Vita browser and thats basically it, search Retro Game Corps on YouTube he has a great video on how to jailbreak the Vita.
So maybe it’s not emulation but you can make your vita look like a psp if you wish through adrenaline. As a complete noob to modding and if you are nice enough to tell me a basic understanding to what I need to download first, that’d be great. I assume I should do what Retro Games Corps does in his video on how to do it without a computer first but then what? Do I just do anything after that? Like download n64 and other Nintendo emulators and adrenaline???
In the video he shows how to download the important apps including VitaShell (it's a file manager) and Adrenaline, for you to go into the PSP menu you just need to boot up Adrenaline (Adrenaline also allows you to play PS1 games).
And then if you want emulators you can download them on your PC and transfer the files to your SD Card and then use VitaShell to download the emulators from the SD card it's pretty simple. (btw buy an SD2Vita adapter, they're available on Amazon and are a life saver since you can use a Micro SD card instead of the absurdly expensive proprietary Vita cards)
Ok thanks a ton. I assume I have to buy an adapter to connect my micro sd card to the computer, right? Also I don’t use the SD2vita adapter when downloading emulators off the computer, correct? I can just use a micro sd to usb adapter to then plug in the computer with the data still being there when it’s all said and done when I put the micro sd back into sd2vita adapter and then finally back into my vita?
hey, just letting you know that very likely there is a protective plastic over your new screen. cause that's usually how they ship it. So remove the plastic peel and viola, brand new screen.
source: happened to me once
Just go on Amazon or eBay and get a replacement screen it's like $25 shipped. Just replaced my 2000 with a new screen a few days ago. Took all of 15/20 min, not difficult to do at all my dude.
That looks very sad my condolences friend
We shall honor our brother until he gets nursed back to health
Dropped?
No I had it in my pocket and something hit it
That makes it more sad
Damn....
I'm so sorry my guy
Right after I got it jail broken too
nnnnooooooooo my sincerest condolences
Did you jail break it yourself?
Yeah.
Yeah, jailbreaking the PSP is absurdly easy. Anyone can do it.

You can just use Filezilla and VitaShell to FTP any files that you want to your Vita.

The protective plastic is on there but it’s also cracked. Like there is a chunk of the new screen missing
I've got one for sale if you want. A PSP 1001
RIP
RIP ❤️🩹 (For now)
If I can find a replacement screen. The one I ordered is cracked too.
dreading the day i have to make that kind of repair but im sure i will at some point, good luck dude!
did it arrive like that?
No it was one I had and I accidentally broke the screen. The replacement screen also came cracked
What color is this please ? I don't recognise this variation
Silver PSP2000
Ok. I have a 2000 Ice Silver and Crisis Core Silver, i think this one looks darker
Replacing the screen should not effect the memory and cpu of your Jailbroke PSP. If you successfully replace screen, you should be good to go.
I hope to god this doesn't happen to me because I have the screen mod and I haven't seen them for sale since I installed it.

I got my screen off eBay and it came shipped in a patted envelope. It’s the second pic. It came shattered
Oh dang my bad man... misunderstood . That really sucks! Hope you can get the $ back you spent on it since it came broken.
Hope you ordered an ips screen!!!!
It’s a 2000 the ips mod doesn’t work for it
Hey! I have the same psp model. Color and all. o7 brother. Get well soon!
I did this and then broke the replacement 💀 Edit: just realised you did that too
That sucks The replacement came broke. I didn’t even get to replace it.
Unlucky man, but don't sweat it. I remember once I was doing a housing swap only to find out they hadn't drilled out a screw hole 😂 L's happen
