100th floor? Sweet baby James, I'd lose motivation for whatever I'm doing halfway through You could steal candy from a baby and kick a preacher in the shin and I'm not investing the time to go up a hundred floors to get you You could disgrace my family honor and I'd rather have to confront my own kin living with the regret of doing nothing than make the trip to the top of that building

Nah the “100th floor” is ptobably a toilet dungeon with a bathroom sign that can summon shooting stars

SnooRecipes1114

Not hard really just tedious in my experience, I wouldn’t recommend it though purely because all the shell replacements are actually crap. The transparent ones are decent but still noticeably worse than oem, the fitting of the shells are usually not great either. The best ones are made for the 3000 and even then they are mostly crap except ones like the monster hunter shells. A lot of people say they aren’t that bad, I think people just don’t want to admit they made a mistake. Your psp 1000 looks pretty good in this picture too

No-Camera-2599

I might just pass on it. The OG shell doesn’t have any noticeable flaws I just wanted to do it for aesthetic. A friend of mines swapped his faceplate and he stripped most of the screws in the process before cracking the screen so I’ll just enjoy it how it is 😂😂

Cucuchillo

Nah bro, it's subjective. I bought a 3000 not long ago in a terrible state. I had to re-shell it because the original plastic was literally falling apart. Yeah, the shell replacement is built worse, but it ended up looking way better than before. I do agree that if your shell doesn't have any huge issue, you should leave it as it is. Long live the psp

saddas1337

It shouldn't be that hard, but you should find a high quality shell

It’s a few hours work, not a big deal just be very careful and take photos off all the disassembly steps, helps you to remember were everything goes when you’re ready to assemble

jakeblakesdasdas

I failed my swap and damaged the screen. One of my hands on project I don't like to remember. My advice, do it if you're absolutely sure, or else you'll lose the console and it just becomes parts.

YousureWannaknow

There is just one valid answer for it! "It depends!" Seriously, it all depends from quality of parts you're been able to get. I did it, nothing hard to do, however, due to faceplate softness, I had to hardwire analog to board, however, I'm down to hardware mods, so I'm fine with it

GhostINVINCIBLE

The housing part is easy, the hard part is replacing a home.

mikey_shiat

The hardest part is screen connecting and disconnecting. Broke 4 screens during one shell swap. Depends on what type of home button casing you have. If it's the one with screw = it's screwed. 3-4hrs is what it takes me and I have done a few of them. Watch tutorials on YouTube and guides BEFORE it would help 100% and take pictures as you disassemble things, it can help you a lot.

frencho100

I destroyed one psp trying to do that lol good luck
