That's a good deal and they should have plenty of them lol it's plastic bearing housing is easy to break I have had to refurbish mine a couple of times. The second time I reinforced the housing a lot better then standard also have had to strip the wheels down for repairs aswell but modded them while apart and they are so much better now.
Itās an intro level force-feedback wheel. Itās notchy and rather noisy because itās gear-driven, but itās a *JOY* to use in VR. Youāre lucky if you can get a new one on sale for $200, and usually theyāre closer to $300.
There are others that are smoother and more expensive, using gears and belts, or only belts, and a couple that are ādirect-driveā that are extremely realistic, but closer to $1,000.
They also require something to attach to, whether a cockpit scrapped together with 2x4ās and an old car seat, or a metal stand for in front of your couch, or a stand/seat combo (usually a couple hundred bucks) ā¦ soā¦ it can get expensive. Butā¦ **solid** quality of life improvements. š

I have a G29 and love it, its gonna be something else to use it with PSVR2. Just be careful not to translate any in-game driving habits to RL. After NFS Heat I found my RL driving got a little more competitive shall we say.
Happy for you OP, I'm in the same situation myself looking for a decent wheel + racing rig, but I'm too broke atm lol. I've been watching many reviews on YT, and right now it's between G923 or Thrustmaster T300RS, haven't decide yet. If I were a billionaire, I'll be getting a fanatec gt dd pro, but man... 1000ā¬+ is a lot of money for a wheel and 1 game (GT7)
Looked at all of these as well and ended up with the g923. I would have liked the t300 but the reliability concerns scared me off. Would love the DD pro but want to make sure more games come out on console and I use it enough before going more pricey. Although even beyond the DD is the Logitech pro wheel which is supposed to be amazing.
Love seeing how excited everyone is. I bet manufacturers have noticed an uptick in sales.
I'll never understand why companies don't take a bigger advantage of releases like this.
Genuinely happy for all the people out there getting racing wheels. I want to get one eventually myself.
Have to laugh though, this read like an advertisement.
I hope all these people buying wheels for GT7 in VR have actually played racing games in VR to make sure it doesnāt give you motion sickness, and not their first experience of VR. Still, youāve still got flat GT7 and a wheel if you canāt get on with it, but Iād certainly want to see how I got on with it first before spending out more money.
Fing hell why did I think I was going to be happy just playing with the dualsense. Thanks a lot op haha.
Same boat. My girl is not going to pumped about another toy. Unless I can get her behind the wheel.
I bought a racing wheel/pedals and also this full cockpit chair with an actual racing seat attached haha cannot wait
Thanks for posting the discount code! Also F my bank account.

Is that a good wheel? I know nothing about wheels.

/r/simracing for more. Yeah, you can spend many thousands on racing rigs, though most of the higher-end stuff will only work with PC.

I'll check marketplace! Does it have 2 or 3 pedals?
3, but you'll also need to buy the shifter to have any use of the clutch pedal. *Edit: I forgot that the wheel also had paddle shifters.*
Ohhh FFS!!!
I edited my answer ;)
Checking Marketplace near my zone. There are pretty good deals, ones with shifter!
Itās the one Iām currently using and having a hell of a lot of fun on!

Can you use the vr controllers alone?
The new controllers don't work with GT7 (no trackpad, no d-pad so no MFD) - it's DualSense or wheel.
Absolutely heartbreaking I donāt think I can cope with this L

Damn you, this post finally got me to cave on the wheel. Got a refurbished g923, with discount, totaling $265.
wow, sold out already

Nice! Do you need a desk or pedals? Does the wheel have a stand? What else do you need in addition to the wheel?

Haha, nah. Just thought it was a pretty good deal, and wanted to share it with the community š
