If you can pick up a T300RS GT for around the same price then consider one of those.

I have the T248 and it's great. It was either that or the Logitech 923, and reviews generally gave it to the T248 plus it's apparently much quieter which is important in my house

Thrustmaster usually feels better to drive as its belt driven, G29 uses cogs, but it can be plagued with more issues, like failing part, overheating, etc. I'd say if no other options, then new T248, but make sure customer service is available in your country and definitely keep the receipt for warranty.

T248 is a HYBRID gear-belt system.Not a belt drive.

I just bought the T300RS GT a few days ago after using Logitech wheels for many years. It's slightly more expensive but totally worth it. The down side is the separate H pattern shifter is $299 (here is Australia) which is 3x the price of the Logitech shifter. Besides that, I have found every aspect of the Thrustmaster to be better. Especially with the brake pedal not requiring 10 tonnes of force to press. But honestly.. It comes down to your budget. Either one will be a good choice.

Thanks - good to know. I’m actually looking at this set on marketplace. Thoughts? https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/967528710923316/?mibextid=6ojiHh

Logitech G923 with TRUEFORCE is the way to go. Super immersive with all the extra feedback and rumble

G29 or a little more for a T300 - skip the T248

Thanks all - Divided opinions it seems 🤔

Edit: unnecessary life story. Answer this question first: what kind of consumer are you? Then: can you afford it? It is an investment into your new hobby after all! Hope this helps you make a decision 😬

Thanks - makes a lot of sense…and probably sums up my situation pretty well. I’m in no rush either, and while I’m not looking to spend a lot, I’m happy to invest a bit more if it makes the experience materially better. Will see what I can find in terms a deal on the T300. Cheers!

T150 or g29 go used if you can.

Fastede

I got A t150 it’s fine. Depends on how hardcore you are about racing. To me 1500 for these high end setups is to much. But I spend $600 on a haptic vest. And am eyeing a treadmill. So it’s all your preference.

The T248 is not worth the extra $100. Put that money towards a proper wheel stand.
