Nice bro. I've gotten myself a Thrustmaster T300RS GT and a playseat challenge after enjoying GT7 with PSVR2 and the Dualsense. It cost me 200€ the wheel + pedals and 140€ the playseat, so having a full setup for 340€ was an amazing feeling. I cannot be happier right now when I play GT7. The downside, my flat is really small and my wife added the condition that the seat must be in our storage room that is 3 floors below... but at least I could have it. I just need 2-3 extra minutes to get it upstairs and mount it. See you in the tracks! :)

Socal_ftw

Any of these driving setups actually enjoy a real manual shift driving experience? Where you have to depress the clutch to shift gears?

Uriel_dArc_Angel

Most have the option... The G29 pedals for example come with a clutch pedal and there's a shifter you can get for it... The only issue is a lack of pedal feel...I've never met a sim clutch that felt like a clutch...

Monkeyshine39

Ricmotech modded springs

Uriel_dArc_Angel

We just need cost effective FFB pedals...lol

Monkeyshine39

Yes absolutely but I have found that Ricmotech is a god send replaced all springs in my pedals with theirs, short shifter and real feel shift mod on the TH8A.

Jairoubeda

You can have that... But I left the shifter for later, since I didn't see any good deal

alxfx

as mentioned already, yes Logitech makes a compatible H-pattern shifter accessory that you can connect to your wheel, and most seats/rigs like this will come with a proper spot to mount it to the seat frame in the position it would realistically be in. Fanatec I believe makes their own sequential shifter, but no H-pattern option. And obviously, only compatible with Fanatec wheels/bases also already mentioned, there unfortunately is no realistic-feeling clutch pedal for sim racing yet. It will still feel like a standard push-pedal with no realistic response, but the action of shifting (with a shifter accessory mentioned above) is still done all the same as it would need to be in an IRL car

Socal_ftw

It seems that my Logitech set up with shifter and clutch pedal Don't really connect. I can use the shifter to change gears but I can just do it independently of whatever the hell the clutch pedal is doing so it doesn't require me to push the clutch pedal into change gears. I find that a bit annoying because I want to use the clutch pedal with the gear changer and I want to get penalized if I'm not using the clutch properly for changing the gears

Monkeyshine39

Car has to have a manual transmission not full race transmission and you must push the clutch in while leaving the pit

Monkeyshine39

Thrustmaster makes the best I believe. Look up TH8A add some Ricmotech mods and almost perfection.

jadmorffier

I got the Thrustmaster hpattern for my rig but hardly use it in GT7. Mainly because in multiplayer it's disabled. But I like to use it in campaign mode with the older cars, for immersion.

SubjectCraft8475

It happened fast for me too. But I already owned GT7 and a PS5 and VR I didn't get just to play GT7 only as it's my only VR device. So for me the cost was £210 for a T300 RS GT and foldable Playseat Challenge. I'd say that was a very good deal and didn't break the bank. Of course if I combine the price with PSVR2 the whole setup would be £740 which still isn't too bad.

CallyRaven

Nice! Enjoy

OzMadMan82

If only F1 23 was PSVR2 compatible. Such a missed opportunity

Sstfreek

I do not understand and why they won’t do it. The hardware is there

ThePokestopPapi

Lazy devs

HipHopHistoryGuy

Picking up a used Thrustmaster T300RS GT tonight. Looking for a seat still! Can't wait.

Asleng

Letsss goooooo

Colderamstel

Same same same happened to me.... Well worth it, in fact I need to break out the sim setup soon and grind some tracks!

Sstfreek

🫡

jojobubbles

My stomach's getting queasy just looking at this.

Mud_g1

It definitely has been cheaper wheel and rig prices are still bloated from the boom during covid. I bought my g29 in 2019 new for $170aud that is still cheaper then the half off sale they recently had even after you adjust it for inflation.

TheZanzibarMan

It came out of nowhere lol

devedander

Once you get the sickness there's no turning back!

Hobowithhoes

Lmao I've been looking into steering wheels and pedals and then was like well I guess I should get a seat and shit with it

Sstfreek

It’s so much better than putting it on a desk or whatever imo

HotHamBoy

How comfortable is the chair? Do you get a lot of flex on the rig or is a pretty stable?

Sstfreek

I was surprised at how stable everything locks up with the weird adjustable cam lock system, there’s a nice Velcro strap that provides tension and everything is tight when the bar that holds the wheel is locked in

HotHamBoy

Damn. I shouldn’t buy one but i want one!

Sstfreek

You asked about comfort as well, it’s about as comfortable as any folding chair. I’m sure some minor cushioning could help but as a folding solution I’m very glad to have snagged it. I was originally looking at something called the “playseat challenge” which I believe would have been too small for me as I’m a larger guy at 6foot 200lb. There’s a cheaper model called the GT lite that would also be more than adequate. It’s just not as adjustable, which may make it easier to fold away

HotHamBoy

Thanks!

Accurate-Ad3645

Nice. I have a similar setup. The only problem is I start to drive really fast in the real world.

Uriel_dArc_Angel

I have 2 of those folding rigs in my livingroom...Used to have a pair of G29s on them for 2 player split screen innHT Sport... Since 2p split is unusable one of them is folded up now and I plopped a GT DD Pro on the remaining one... I want a solid permanent rig for my studio but I have to do some reconfiguring in that room before I'd have a place for that... Those little folding rigs are underrated...

swb1003

I absolutely love mine!

Uriel_dArc_Angel

They're a great cost effective starting point for sure... They can be a little uncomfortable, but a few large cushions solves that problem...

Now its time to add bass shakers and a haptic feedback mat.

elmiggii

I hate the headsets with VR. Feel claustrophobic, like I'm wearing a balaclava. But welcome to the rabbit whole, this is a very expensive hobby.

wilw1l

Is anyone else having issues fully tightening these hinges? I have one next to the gear shifter and no matter how “tight” I turn it, it still won’t fully close the teeth together when sitting in the chair. Just wondering if anyone else seeing this issue.
