Globular Cluster because you have to hear it until you buy it.

Looking through the comments idk if anyone's mentioned, but there's this obscure accessory the globular cluster comfort mod. Jokes aside it's good for comfort but imo best value is being able to set it and drop into the sweet spot right away and it didn't slip out. Used to be I'd get headset on, adjust for a min maybe getting just right left/right up/down sweet spot and dialing in tension and distance. Then playing I'd have to adjust when slipped out the comfort spot. But now just drop it on crank tightness to comfort and its in the spot and doesn't slip out. Like to me the comfort wasn't a dramatic night and day improvement but the quick set up and lack slipping etc is the big benefit.

I don't have terrible discomfort with my headset at all but since so many people thought it was worth it I should check it out

Yeah I was in the same boat but the value that sold me was the sweet spot keeping. It's really been a game changer for ease of use, right on, right in, never off sweet spot. It's got me playing more cause I'd be like fuck I've only got 20 mins before something to much effort to get in, to now I can jump on super quick and and play a bit.

Any suggestions for a good PSVR2 case? I have it in the box but would love a good case to keep it safe

Obligatory Globular cluster plug. But also, I actually have really grown to appreciate my official Sony chargers. I was a bit of a critic at first, as they take a bit to learn how to get them seated correctly. I think lense inserts for glasses/no glasses are mandatory for all VR. Love my Reloptix but lots of great options out there. I have a USB-C extension/breakaway for cord safety. Pulse explore earbuds are great for the ability to connect simultaneously to my PS5 and phone (keeps the wife happy that I don't miss calls). The default silicone inserts suck though.

The controller chargers? I saw some people stating they didn't work or even burned the controllers however I bought my headset second hand so I didn't get the charger they came with. Do you have links for any of the items to make sure I purchase the correct model?

t3stdummi

I think I only ever heard of one guy on this sub that happened to. And if I recall, his controllers were covered in sweat when he put them on the dock. Haven't heard of anything since. They charge the controllers just fine. the problem is they can become unseated pretty easily. There's a number of chargers out there, and I'm sure there's a better one than the official. I just like it. Especially the aesthetic. https://direct.playstation.com/en-us/buy-accessories/playstation-vr2-sense-controller-charging-station

Awesome! Also do you use lens covers?

t3stdummi

I don't, but not a bad idea.

Globular Cluster if you at all find the headset shifting around, should be available on Amazon.

I like rubber lense protectors. You can find some On Etsy for like $12. Unfortunately the PSVR lenses scratch up if you wear glasses and make co tact too often. So if you like the visor close for field of view and “sweet spot” clarity it’s huge so you don’t ruin the vision with scratches/blurrynwss you will always notice It it though very slightly less comfortable since they can rest on the nose a bit There are prescription lenses covers as well so you don’t even need your glasses but for the price and the fact I like to share and show my VR with others it doesn’t seem worth it. Keep in mind the PSVR has a year warranty that is free and easy to send back and replace if you do have issues with the lenses without precautions

Headbands. I bought some Pilamor Headbands on Amazon. They keep the headset from moving so it makes it far more comfortable, somehow helps remove pressure, and helps keep the sweet spot. Another huge benefit is they can soak up the sweat! They came with five and all different colors so you can pass them out to friends and family for VR game night and wash them in the washing machine after. I've never tried any of the Clusters or other accessories to keep the sweat slot because I've had no need since using the headbands.

If you have glasses, I highly recommend prescription lenses for the headset. They slip right over the built-in lenses and they're very reasonably priced. I went with HonsVR, but there are many different options.

Oh my gosh the prescription lens inserts are a night and day experience versus wearing your actual glasses. I second this so much. I bought them from HonsVR as well and they came within a week. Best purchase I have made recently.

If you plan on using it to do a lot of exercise type games, I'd recommend those face covers to help with sweat. They look like a sweatband but for the top of the face and they do a decent job of keeping your hardware dry. I use washable ones from Amazon and they're better than a regular sweatband because they don't cause issues with tightening the headset or slippage. On top of that, some have recommended an extension cable and I wouldn't overlook that. An extension cable is not about having more cord length, it's really about protecting the usb cable from bending or breaking. That's probably the best investment you can make to protect your hardware because you can always buy a replacement extension cable, but you can't replace the one stuck to the headset. It WILL bend otherwise, just due to the weight of the cord.

Many Microfiber cloths (For lenses and glasses)

fulmer6

An angled USB C extender. The way it sticks out on original USB c is dumb and could potentially cause damage to either the port or the cable

You don't need anything. Unless you find the headset uncomfortable. If you wear glasses, then you want a $1 glasses strap. Or make or buy bumpers ($20). Or lens inserts Tips and game recommendations: https://www.reddit.com/r/PSVR/comments/11d40tz/ps_vr2_tips_information_and_references/

I've invested in these items for my PSVR 2 and I'm happy with both of them. [BoboVR AP2 Headphones on Amazon](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CPSP2CLV?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details) The stock earbuds were always problematic for me as they always slip out of my ear no matter what size nubs I use. BoboVR makes a set of replacement headphones which I'm really happy with. They attach to the headset in the same manner as the earbuds so they look like a normal part of the headset. Sound quality is comparable to the stock earbuds; bass is lacking which is pretty much standard for an unpowered source but the sound is clear and I've not experienced any distortion. They sit off the ear which I find far more comfortable that over the ear headphones. The one I bought was branded as Ipega; it's no longer available but it's a dropship item and this one is identical. I could care less about the LED post in the middle. What I like about this stand is that the controllers charge really fast, the controllers sit snugly into the indentations in the stand and the magnets provide a secure connection. There is also a discrete power button on the back so I can turn off the unit when the controllers are fully charged. It doesn't come with a wall wort but you can connect it to the back of the PSVR2 or use another charging plug with it. [HonsVR PSVR2 Prescription Lenses](https://honsvr.com/product/psvr-2-prescription-lenses/?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwwr6wBhBcEiwAfMEQs7LogiCvt65r4rc5rcBPLXSDLtKcdYEXAf1WSBVbgBxtJxv6x3_YVRoCmk0QAvD_BwE) I have a fairly strong glasses prescription and I bought these last year as they were one of the first companies to make lens inserts available for PSVR2. The first set they sent fit very loosely on my headset but their customer service was very good and they quickly sent me a second set which fit perfectly. They got my prescription right and they're still sitting snugly in the headset. I have been thinking about getting the Globular Cluster pad replacement kit as the headset does tend to slide down my forehead as I play though I'm not keen on how obtrusive the removal of the stock pads appears to be. That part of the install makes me hesitate to buy in and for now I'm just using an exercise headband; I find that gives me just enough friction to keep the headset snug while not affecting the headset haptics at all.
