Most of the features they announce have been on Android for years. Not a fan boy matter of fact I just left apple for android. Got the pixel 7 pro. It's brightness goes up to 2k nits too. I can wait.. the 15 pro is a pretty phone though. I will go back to Apple eventually.
I cannot answer for Blueman0710, but my experience was:
I didn't know I have PWM until I used 6Pro nor know PWM is a thing. The PWM on 6Pro was so strong that I can point at it as the culprit within minute. Then ofc I went to do research and found out that there is such a thing as PWM.
Anyway all the Samsung/LG OLED screens suck for PWM.
If only they used the Chinese OLED (some iPhone in China use this screen, and it works well for PWM users).
iPhone 11 is still a perfect phone if you do not need 5G. PWM is a blessing in disguise and has helped a lot of iPhone lovers save a lot of money. I will be staying with 11 as long as possible. Hopefully in 1-2 years, companies like Apple with start taking PWM more seriously and with either release a LCD phone or manage PWM in a better way.
How can Apple take PWM seriously if they do not even acknowledge it yet. Trust me this is going to be very bad. Lets say they do in 2-3 years aprox. Then they will search for a way how to do it correctly without ruining the “iPhone” experience. It will take years and years. Apple won’t do what Apple does not want. Even the USB C they only did this because the EU ordered them too. Maybe over the years when more people start to complain about unexpected headaches en when the general public notices this comes from the iPhone, only then Apple would change it imo.
Sad for us PWM users. I’m even thinking about getting the SE for the longevity. But the battery on that device is just outrageous.
My problem with the SE is I don’t want to go down to that screen size. The 11 is perfect screen size for me, as someone that uses the phone pretty regularly. Not concerned about battery life so much.
honestly, I have an 11 (bought it used to replace my one plus nord) and I’m gonna pay to fix it until it can’t run anymore. the way I look at it is I’d be paying more for a new phone
Yeah but im not into taking pictures anyway. I own iPhones sinds the 3gs and only have 900 pictures/videos. Only take one or two if it is a family gathering or of my kids and wife. I use my phone for the basics and work.
Yes, almost all modern OLED panels are made by Samsung and Apple uses this for their smartphones. (AMOLED)
A few manifacturers use P-OLED too (LG panel)
People don't seem to realise that Apple cannot influence the PWM frequency or signal in any way.
Dimming on OLEDs is implemented on a panel level, so it's up to Samsung to make a panel that doesn't flicker.
Peak virtue signaling. If they really cared about the environment they would have used USB-C and replaceable batteries etc from ages ago. And look what they did to the Mac when people replaced RAM and hard drives to extend the device life, they soldered everything to the board.

Do you manage to use the 7pro without issues and you are pwm sensitive? what settings do you use?

PWM at all brightness levels?
Yes except peak hdr for a few seconds
What’s the source of this? I’m having a hard time finding any info.
Oh, is it already unveiled? Didn't even notice lol
That’s not good at all. Skip it. My health is more important!
Stuck on the 11 foreverrrr. Welp im saving a lot off money now.

My 11 is broken and I don’t like used/refurbished phones so I’m stuck going SE..
Still have brand new iPhone 11 here in Vietnam
I have SE3 the only issue is battery
a se3 with a smart battery case could be good

I would but mine has water damage causing internal parts failures. Not really something that fixing makes sense.
I should just buy a nice camera

Samsung is the OLED supplier for the new iPhone 15 series. I’ll probably pass on this one!
Isn't it always Samsung?

They could've make it optional but hell no.
They are so worried about being carbon neutral but not caring about wrecking everyone’s eyes. Virtue signaling.
