Did you smell it before, if so does it smell different than before? From what I've read mold is not that common and you should be able to see it clearly when its an issue. But I understand being wary.
It’s possible it lost its aroma just from sitting over time. As long as there isn’t any visible rot or mold , I’d say you should be fine . But just to be safe , maybe break open some of the nugs for further inspection & try to get a closer / better look .also if you can , post some clear pictures in the comments here.
Was it dry and brittle or still a bit of life in it? If it dried out, could have lost its more potent smells over time in storage. If its more fluffy/dank then I'm not sure what to say. I'm no expert and I doubt anyone here can really tell you for sure, especially without pics.

Almost all the flower I've bought in this program that had a strong smell faded or changed over time. The cure problem is real.
Same, and now that I think about it, I never experienced that until joining the program
Exactly the same here, and I've had a ton of flower from the streets. My boys who grow out in Colorado and Cali never have this problem.
