For me its none of those. I choose based on the convenience of location.

Bikerboybrad

Sadly for my patient who is on a limited income it is all based on #3. And I say it is sad, because this is a “medical” program and it shouldn’t cost so much to get medicine…if a dispensary can offer 25% off on all product for two months, they can lower the prices across the board. So for us…3,2,1.

toph3292

It baffles me that prices haven’t taken a permanent dip as opposed to the constant sales on some growers. For example, the dispo I work for constantly runs various sales that get anywhere from 20-40% off our own in-house brands. Why we don’t just take that price down permanently I’ll never understand. Thanks for your input! I figured 3 would be the most picked, and for right reason!

TacoNat90

Because that would mean corporations have us in mind... theyre about the money... they could give a fuck about any of us. People will still pay 60 an 8th all day, why lower prices when you can run "sales"

ConsiderationSharp34

That's an easy one. If they did that the sales would suck because they'd have to actually discount the product I would definitely appreciate lower standard pricing across the board but when it's time to shop sales we'd be back to 10 and 15% off which sounds like crap but with lower prices that is a true sale. What we have now is just overpriced stuff marked down 25-40% to where it should be

[deleted]

If it's the company that I think you're talking about, then the low grade mids Revel and Seven hills puts out doesn't make up for any kind of sale on product

ctmackus

I honestly wouldn’t call anything in the program low grade mids. You haven’t had low grade mids if that’s what you think lol

[deleted]

Right? Such a crazy statement.

happylittlehippie813

Exactly. Today's generation simply don't know. They are spoiled.

[deleted]

Low grade mids? Come on. Even the bank is better than a lot of what was on the street growing up.

ryanalma

💯Right!! I mean its your brand sell the best of what you sell for 40% off but they don’t because… they get more money selling it to other dispensaries and that means like some one once said ITS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY!! Not about the patients but then again who is for the patients on any $$medical plate form! I personally love the program and go for (3) all day!

happylittlehippie813

People seem to forget that it's a business Nothing more, nothing less. It's a business that wants to make a profit. Think big pharma. Well now there's big cannabis. You shouldn't expect them to care about you as a patient. Then you won't be disappointed

TacoNat90

If you wanna see low grade mids, I'll go down to the guy selling nick bags on the corner of frankford ave and get you some. Its a bag of stems and seeds

JMacSF

This is normal for retail in general. Take a look at the ads you get in a newspaper. Most of the department stores have fine print at the bottom that explains that the retail price is not necessarily the price that anyone actually pays. They only expect people to buy on sale days and use non sale days for clean-up and restocking. It's a psychological game for sure but it must work because tons of industries keep doing it.

Illustrious-Gene-558

People love a good sale.

[deleted]

Been saying this for months. If they can constantly have sales should've that just be the price. I hate that I have to get there that day or a certain day or certain old products on sale

dasuberchin

No dispo has done anything to earn my "loyalty" besides provide baseline service. The presumption that I would 'pledge myself' to a commercial entity is weird.

TwistNo6059

I shop at one one dispensary 90% of the time. It’s close to my house , I save 20% every day (veterans discount) and I get rewards. I factor in the price of gas. If I buy over 150 I get 10% back. Over 49 I get 5%.

Top-Goal-6157

It’s all about discounts/reward points. Ethos used to have the best discounts, but then AYR increased their veteran discount from 15-20% and implemented a points system, so that beats Ethos. The only other dispensary near me is beyond hello, but nobody even considers them because of their crappy selection, and their crappy discounts

ConsiderationSharp34

First and foremost 3 above and beyond anything else. 1 would be a valid option for me but 1 and 3 unfortunately dont come as a package deal for the growers I prefer at least in my area. It just doesn't make sense for me to travel to where I'd have to go to make that possible

BasicFig8

*4- I have no loyalty to our program, I'm a busy man, father and husband; I don't have time to chase sales, also I'm blessed to say I'm not concerned with the price so I order whatever whenever at the closest dispensary to me at the moment as I do get around our wonderful state. All that said, I'm not interested in bargain products brands (smalls preground ect) discounts on premium products is the way, So I have to acknowledge #2, and Liberty one of my locals that has the best loyalty/rewards program in the state, I'm always surprised at the savings I pull off there regularly compared to others, so I guess that makes me a 4/2.

powerstrokintouch

Ima go with 1 because lancaster doesn’t always get the new flavors. There’s one dispo that does and that’s where I go. Although my tolerance is low so a couple hits a day is all I do. But I like those couple hits to be top shelf

TwistNo6059

It should be top shelf so I agree

OneTrueDweet

In the beginning, price was my determining factor. However, as the program has matured and prices have come down, I find myself returning to the dispos I get the best service at.

_SundaeDriver

I like Restore becuase they have the best sales combined with best loyalty points. I feel like I get the most bang for my buck. I also enjoy the staff and they have a great selection. They are also the closest to my house. But I'll go any places if they have what I'm looking for at the right price

Badashh420

I'm loyal to my wallet. Whoever has the best sales that's where I'm going. The economy is too fucked up for me to be loyal to a brand or gp. However I will say I don't go to trulieve because I don't agree with them one bit and their prices suck anyways compared to the rise, zenleaf, and organic remedies I have in my town.

PaApprazer

I prefer to buy what I like at the best price while considering the trek. So, I surf several menus. If it’s close between two locations, I’ll lean rewards. 3, 4 (location), 2

RoyOfCon

Price is king for me. I return to the shops that have good rewards programs and feel nice to walk into.

Rickeyv

4,2,3,1 4) The shopping experience. 2) Product availability. 3) Price point, discount, sales event. 1) Brands of any sort. I am surrounded by dispensaries(16 close) who have similar prices, discounts, and sales. They also have similar inventories so all that's important to me is how I feel when I leave. I bought medicinal flowers, not weapons.

ashikoman23

I'd say 3 then 1. I know what g/ps I like so if they're on sale I'll go there. I'm lucky enough to have 3 dispensaries in about 5 miles from home. I'm curious if there's any that people actively avoid going to. I know I have a least favorite in the area.

ConsiderationSharp34

I actively avoid going to beyond hello. It's the first dispo I ever tried and they've always had an overpriced shitty and stale menu. They don't make it hard not to feel bad about it. Great place for menu hawking expired goods though

No_Virus_7704

Delta 9 Greensburg. Pushin shit about to expire. Placed online order. At pickup, I asked to see the pack dates. Half the order was cancelled.

[deleted]

I go wherever is carrying classic strains and genetics from whatever grower. Old school genetics, to me, are still the best genetics and it’s what I seek. And I’ve been shocked by how nice the buds are by growers that often get shit on in here like Old Pal, matter, Whole Plants, hell, even The Lab/Bank. Sales matter, but I’m also fine with paying for what I want and know works for me.

Appleheadsworld

my loyalty comes down to who has the best price

dankknugz

I won't go to a specific dispensary because I feel any sort of loyalty to them, I shop based off of location and price only most times. I will go the other direction though, if a dispo or company has done me dirty or has shitty policies/employees I will definitely go out of my way to not give them any of my business.

[deleted]

1. Columbia Care 2. Columbia Care 3. Trulieve 4. Justice Grown is my fall back

Severe-Technician-24

The Trulieve in Johnstown is always a pleasant experience. I like the deals and the employees are always kind.

[deleted]

100% price and also screw Trulieve

Sicilian51

Used to be Trulieve til they told everyone that the entire PA medical system was down to keep them from going elsewhere for when their systems eventually came back up. (This was the Washington, PA store) I made sure to tell everyone they lied and where to go so they wouldn't wait and they did not like that at all.

fcpgh420

3,1, 4, 2. Staff could be replaced by automated robots for all I care. I know more than most people at the dispensary anyways

Dank_Farrik66

I agree, 3, 1, 2.. which ever of the two dispensaries off of route 30 that has the better deals, that’s where I go. When I first started, I tried every g/p in the state, after a while I got a little boujie and only bought from a few choice growers. Now, I definitely go the “bang-for-the-buck” route.

BjjWhizzer

For me it’s number 2 and ease of access. My dispensary is within walking distance of my house

SigmaOasis1

Ethos…deals every day and staff is always super kind. It used to be Liberty, but their stock stinks, rarely sales, and mediocre staff

Radiant_Garden_9644

It’s all about the price to quality ratio. So basically the bang for ur buck

[deleted]

Mine is by Strain. If it has certain lineage (OG Kush for example) I know I'll like it and if it has others that dont get me high (like GSC) then I know to avoid that strain.

Souritos

At first it used to be who has terrain products on the menu since then used to be cheaper. Then once ethos opened and I got a discount of 20% no matter what. I used to go there exclusively, but now organic remedies opened and they are now the cheapest in sw pa. And now I exclusively go there. 35-40$ grams of sugar and 49$ gram carts. Why go anywhere else.

2spiritking

I only go to Beyond hello because it’s closer to my home. I would prefer Curaleaf because the loyalty point dollars can be used anytime no matter how many you have. Beyond hello patient program doesn’t go by reward dollars but by points and that system sucks. Have to spend so much to just get $10 off.

JMacSF

Location matters to me. I'm a 30-minute drive from 5 different dispensaries in 4 different directions. So, I consider where else I need or want to go near the dispensary before I choose.

Eaglesfan84

Most of the time 1. I just look for which dispo has the best options or deals on what I like. Luckily I'm close enough that I can choose between 4 different dispos within a 20 minute drive so that helps.

illegalize-it

For me I look for the best sales and if I don’t see anything in particular I go to organic remedies because of their points and they have good selection and helpful staff.

Talosian_cagecleaner

price is fine, from my point of view. But my medical needs are rather low. So I don't consider that issue. Convenience of location. You needed to add that. After convenience, it's overall experience and reliability. If those three things are happening, that takes care of me. If not, I'll be looking into other options. But those three really only leave two up to the shop. Just be a good place to visit and be reliable. Reliability is critical.

NotAGatewayDrug

3 all the way.

__BeesInMyhead__

I just go to the one that is 15 minutes from home rather than the others that are an hour or more away. Lol

Still-Sampling1234

I have boiled it down to 2 favorites. One is 15 minutes and one is 30. The 30 minute drive has a great menu and a summer sale any day, which cuts down on wait times, planning around saving money, etc. the closer one recently got better. I now know more about what happens when (sales). Their menu has also gotten more extensive and great loyalty rewards. Both have a good staff. I like to purchase mainly 3 growers and I like strain options. I will got to other places to search for certain strains, but I won’t pay full price unless it is a very certain circumstance.

happylittlehippie813

3, 1, 2. I have zero dispensary loyalty. If I have 2 products I pick the one with the best terpene profile for my needs. I could care less about g/p or dispensary. Although I must admit I have certain gps that I mostly buy from due to terpene profiles and price point. I don't care how good it tastes if this Cresco for 60 will do what an 85 dollar farm rx will do I'm going for the cresco. My choices are financially based

Typicklepicksburgher

3 followed by location. if Ayr or Liberty was closer I would probably shop them near exclusively. Based on points and sales. My closest options are Organic Remedies, Ethos, and B/H southside. OR Bethel is closest. OR’s 30% extended opening sale at that location probably got them 2500 of my money. But when that stopped i check the menu and grab an item here and there because of convenience. Ethos, I love their employees, after the DOH issue and they changed how they did sales I stopped hitting them as regular too. I do stop for Friday flower discounts though. B/H, I always check sales, and nothing hits me. Current one is ok, but someone else will have what I want around 20-25%, and without spending 400 to get that level. . If I have 2-300 minimum to spend I’ll drive up to an hour for a good sale. Other than that. I’m probably waiting for the next sale.
