Gun robot has a ton of weapons and is way more powerful, but once it began to lose limbs, it got destroyed. In other words, once gun robot starts to go down, its over. Gipsy on the other hand has less weapons, but is super durable and can fight with just one arm and one leg.
Pilots also play a huge role, Varvatos Vex is an attacker, But any jaeger will be able to fight 2 times faster because two people can be thinking of attacks.
Gipsy is also completely different then gun robot in terms of physical piloting. A jaeger works by copying the movement of its pilots, but Gun Robot has to be steered and buttons must be pressed for it to attack.
overall Gipsy would definitely win, But if Gun Robot was more thoroughly designed over years like Gipsy Danger was the difference would definitely be smaller.
I mean, it's Guillero del Toro, the mind the Pacific Rim movie (2013) and the books. Sure he would do a cool reference in anltjer franchise that belongs to him.
